Day 64 – Grace, Obedience, and Restoration

God meets His people in both success and failure. In Joshua chapters 5 to 8, Israel renews its obedience, then falls into disobedience, and faces the consequences. Yet the story does not end there. God leads them back through repentance and restores their path forward. These events show that sin is serious, but so is God’s mercy. Psalm 14 speaks honestly about human weakness and the tendency to live without regard for God. Still, it points toward hope in His saving presence. In Luke chapter 15, Jesus tells stories of what was lost being found again. Each return is met with joy, not rejection.

Across these readings, one message rises to the surface. God’s grace restores those who repent and return to obedient trust.

So what might faithfulness look like today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.

First, confess one area where disobedience has affected your relationship with God. Bring it into the light.

Second, take one step today that reflects renewed obedience and trust.

Third, extend grace to someone who needs restoration rather than judgment.

As you step back into the rhythm of your day, remember this. God does not turn away from those who return to Him. He welcomes them and leads them forward again.
