Explore how God uses unlikely leaders like Deborah and Gideon alongside Jesus' teachings on end times as we discover the courage to trust God's calling in uncertain circumstances through Judges 4-6 and Luke 21.

Day 70 – Courage, Calling, and Watchfulness

Judges 4–6
Luke 21

God often works through those who feel unprepared. In Judges chapters 4 to 6, Deborah leads with wisdom, Barak steps forward with hesitation, and Gideon wrestles with fear. None of them appear strong at first. Yet each one responds to God’s call. Victory does not come through strength or numbers, but through obedience and trust. In Luke chapter 21, Jesus speaks about uncertain times. He calls His followers to stay alert, to remain faithful, and not to be overcome by fear. God’s purposes will stand, even when the future feels unclear.

Across these readings, one message rises to the surface. God works through willing hearts who trust Him and remain watchful in faith.

So how do we respond today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.

First, say yes to God in one area where fear has been holding you back.

Second, take one small step of obedience, even if you feel inadequate.

Third, stay spiritually alert today through prayer and attentiveness to God’s word.

As you step back into the rhythm of your day, remember this. Courage grows when you act on God’s call, not when you wait to feel ready.

Thank you for joining me today. Trust God’s strength in your weakness and stay watchful in every season. Until tomorrow, may courage and attentiveness guide your walk.
