00:08:46.159 --> 00:08:47.360 For the sacrifice? 00:08:47.519 --> 00:08:53.200 And Abraham responds, God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son. 00:08:53.440 --> 00:09:03.360 Of course, Abraham's reality before him is one of extreme sacrifice because Abraham thought that the lamb was going to be his son Isaac. 00:09:04.240 --> 00:09:07.360 He was willing to walk in obedience to God. 00:09:08.399 --> 00:09:10.000 But the Lord provided, right? 00:09:10.240 --> 00:09:19.440 As Abraham was saying this, he was still willing to be obedient to what God had called him to do, and yet he didn't know how God was going to provide for him. 00:09:20.000 --> 00:09:25.279 This statement Abraham made to Isaac was prophetic in more ways than one. 00:09:25.440 --> 00:09:32.080 As we read this passage, we see that there was an innocent ram that was caught in the thicket in place of Isaac, right? 00:09:33.039 --> 00:09:46.879 But it was also prophetic in the sense that there would ultimately be the Lamb, Jesus, sacrificed on the cross in our place, many, many years later. 00:09:47.440 --> 00:09:54.639 And the second time we see Jehovah Jireh show up in this passage is right after the ram was provided as a replacement for Isaac. 00:09:54.799 --> 00:10:00.399 If you look in verse 14, Abraham named that place the Lord will provide. 00:10:00.799 --> 00:10:05.440 So today it is said, it will be provided on the Lord's mountain. 00:10:05.679 --> 00:10:12.720 And so that day an innocent ram was sacrificed instead of Isaac. 00:10:13.600 --> 00:10:18.240 And so Abraham truly saw the Lord's provision that day. 00:10:18.480 --> 00:10:24.080 He saw Jehovah Jirah show up in a miraculous way. 00:10:25.279 --> 00:10:27.440 And I think we need to remember this. 00:10:27.679 --> 00:10:33.360 To see the Lord's provision requires faith that he will provide, right?
