Bettie draws from personal experience and historical research to tell the story of Ginny, a teacher and writer, who is talked into writing a drama about local historical events to support the local historical society.
When a college drama professor is talked into being the director, shadows and hurt from Ginny's past rise up to haunt her. Can she learn to trust her script to this stranger, and let old wounds heal?
