Episode 19: Building Sustainability Into Your Business with Lindsay Zarowny

Greer Frances Season 1 Episode 19

On this week's guest episode, I sat down to chat with Lindsay Zarowny, creator of enLihte Hair Powders. Moving to the woods 10 years ago helped Lindsay realize that the most important things to her were simplicity, quality in all areas; including food and nourishment, natural living and connection to the seasons. She is a spouse, mother to 2 young children, homemaker, and gardener of food and flowers.

Finding natural, effective products to support simplicity in self care is really important to Lindsay; and while she was able to find amazing skin care products, she was left with choosing between chemical laden dry shampoos or ineffective powders from the health food store. This led her to start experimenting with different clays to mix up what she always hoped to find in a natural dry shampoo. With help and testing from friends and family to expand shade needs, enLihte hair powders were born to bend time, support feeling refreshed and polished, bringing lightness and ease to your hair care.

Lindsay’s dream is that we all understand that caring for ourselves is necessary and valuable for our own well being, however this looks for an individual. And that from this place of space and love we are able to share ourselves and our gifts with others.

This is an invitation to remember your connection to your personal care products, your hair and how this translates as an added layer of love, with presence.

The name enLihte is a combination of en: a prefix meaning ‘within or in’ + Lihte (Old English) to illuminate, to make light or easy. These are the guiding principles of the offering of enLihte products, that we can enLihte our locks with the light we give to ourselves, with time, intention and care, welcoming lightness and ease into our hair care as way of loving on ourselves.

In this episode we chatted about:

  • The journey of creating enLihte
  • Building sustainability into your business model
  • The importance of staying true to your vision & intention
  • Listening to the whispers of cosmic shoves
  • Finding the magic in the mundane moments

  • Bending time with hair care & making rituals in moments
  • How to be flexible when building a business based on sustainability and finding the better option
  • Sustainability as an idea that extends to your own energy, and the financial aspects of your business, too
