Not Feeling Like Posting Might Be Why Clients Aren't Buying

Nicole Harlow: Entrepreneur, Designer, Yoga Teacher, Lifehacker + Author

Ever have those days (or weeks...or months...) where you just can't even with social media? 🙋‍♀️ Today's episode is a wake-up call on why that lack of posting mojo could be costing you clients.

Here's the deal:

  • Consistency Builds Trust: Think of it like dating - showing up regularly tells your audience you're committed and ready to serve them.
  • Stay Top of Mind: In the fast-paced social media world, out of sight = out of mind.
  • Your Effort Reflects Your Business: Clients see your social media as a mirror of your work ethic. Are you putting in the effort they want to see?

But here's the good news:

You don't have to do it alone! If you're burned out on social media, it's time to bring in the experts (that's us! 😉). We'll handle your content strategy, keep your feed fresh and engaging, and most importantly, free YOU up to focus on what you love most.

Remember:

Your brand voice deserves to be heard consistently. Let's make your social media work for you, not against you. ✨

Speaker 1:

Hi there and welcome to today's episode of Wealthy Wellness Biz with your host, me, nicole Harlow. So today we're diving into a topic that hits pretty close to home for many of us who are running our own businesses, so I think you're going to know exactly what I'm talking about those days when you're just not in the mood to post or engage on social media. For a lot of us, that's like every day, right, it happens. Like the amount of people that I talk to. They're just like I don't like social media. I hate it, I don't want to be there. You wake up and the last thing that you want to do is like think about what to post on Instagram or Facebook, and sometimes you may even have the content ready to go and you just don't want to be on here. But I want to like have this little mini episode to just give us a little wake up call, really, and I want to say something Not being in the mood to post or create content might be the reason clients aren't in the mood to buy from you. I'm going to say that one more time Not being in the mood to post or create content might be the reason clients aren't in the mood to buy from you. So just let that sink in, right, like it's a little bit of like, oh yeah. Oh, I want to share this because I want to inspire you to really think more about consistency and knowing that consistency in your online presence isn't just about keeping up appearances or doing what everybody else is doing right Keeping up with the Joneses. Just like everybody else is posting three times a week or some expert told me that this is how many times a week that I should show up on social media Consistency is a vital part of how your clients perceive your commitment and reliability.

Speaker 1:

Here's why. So here's why having the steady output is really crucial and critical. So, first off, consistency builds trust and when you post regularly, it assures your clients and potential clients, potential customers that you are active, engaged and you're ready to serve, right? I know some people have a weird thing with the word serve, but you know that's what we're doing, right? We're here to serve our clients. They give us money and we serve them in our speciality of what we do, of what we do. So, knowing that the consistency isn't just about showing up, it's about not just showing up occasionally, but consistently, and it really signals to them that you're there, that you're engaged, that you're ready. It's like seeing that green dot when someone's online, it's like we're here and we're available and that feeling of consistency and availability. It builds trust over time.

Speaker 1:

So number two is that staying top of mind is essentially so important in today's digital world. Right, if you're not showing up in their feeds, you can rest assured somebody else is right, if you're not on up in their feeds, you can rest assured somebody else is right If you're not on their feed, somebody else is in their feed and somebody else. We don't live in a world where what we do is so unique that there's not competition. Right, and so even as niched down as you are, even in your speciality, there's still other people, especially as, like virtual digital practitioners, there are other people that can serve our clients as well. And in this like really fast paced world of social media, out of sight can definitely lead to out of mind very quickly. So I don't say this to like put you like in a tizzy or anything like that, but just knowing that like part of this consistency and part of the reason why it's important to like give a shit about posting is because it's important to stay top of mind.

Speaker 1:

And then number three is you. I feel like the effort that you put into your social media. It's often reflective of your work ethic and, by extension, the health of your business. So I know, when I'm about to like buy something or work with somebody, one of the first things that I'll do besides like looking at their website is I'm going to go over to the social media and I'm going to look like to see are they active, are they engaged? How much quality and thought are they putting into their posts? No-transcript in your business, how awesome you are at serving your clients right? These are qualities that potential clients are looking for. So the effort that you put in that output right. It reflects how you run your business. It affects the level of care they can expect to get right. So those are my three.

Speaker 1:

Not being in the mood to post or create content may be the reason clients aren't in the mood to buy from you, right. So we need to prime them and we need to think not just I mood to post or create content may be the reason clients aren't in the mood to buy from you right. So we need to prime them and we need to think not just I have to post every single day, but here is a way that I'm priming my potential customers and clients to feel really good about buying from us. So consistency is trust building. Staying top of mind is essential in today's digital world. And then also the effort that you put into your social media can reflect your work ethic and the health of your business.

Speaker 1:

But I totally get it, being consistent doesn't mean you have to push through burnout or do any of it on your own. That's not really sustainable and it's certainly not healthy for you or your business. So that's where brand better can come in. I totally understand these challenges because I've been there as a business owner and for the clients that we work with who have decided to hire us. I hear this all the time and most importantly is that we actually know how to help. So here we specialize in keeping your social media presence consistent, engaging, aligned with your brand's voice, even on the days when you're not feeling it, especially on the days when you're not feeling it.

Speaker 1:

So one of the things that I get the feedback that we kind of hear the most is that our other clients that we work with love like having somebody else take the reins and doing all the planning, executing the content strategy, coming up with the content strategy and then also like ensuring that everything stays fresh on your feed, that it's gauging and that it's on brand, and then you are off somewhere else focusing on what you love to do most in your wellness business or just like really enjoying your life, right? So, um, yeah, if that sounds good, I mean, uh, I like to always let you know at the end of these episodes how you can work with us. Now that doesn't mean you I like to always let you know at the end of these episodes how you can work with us. Now that doesn't mean you're going to come to our door and hire us. So if you decide not to work with Brand, better to have your social media run by our team.

Speaker 1:

I still want you to really take to heart this podcast episode and these tips. If you're doing your own social media, and you'll continue to do your own social media, really think about what your consistency, or lack of consistency, is saying about your business. Remember your brand voice deserves to be heard consistently and working with us, you can ensure your message always finds its audience, no matter your mood. Let's make your social media work for you, not against you, and join me in turning this challenge into an opportunity to thrive. I'll see you on the next episode. Thanks a lot.
