This week’s guests is Julia Browne. Julia grew up in the UK but now resides in Melbourne. Throughout her life she’s had a varied career between the music industry, fashion industry and government agencies. Now Julia has two fashion projects which focus on sustainability, style and the ext generation of fashion designers. Julia is the founder of Melbourne Fashion Hub. After identifying a gaping hole between education and business for recent design graduates, Melbourne Fashion Hub offers an annual, open-access, free, up-skilling program to Melbourne-based fashion students and graduates. The program attracts students and grads from RMIT, Whitehouse Insitute of Design, and TAFE, with the focus on advocating for and empowering emerging and independent fashion designers. Julia is also the founder of Style Shifter Media, a platform featuring style advice, fashion news, and upcoming Melbourne student runway shows.
