In this episode, Kareen Boutros, Executive Director of the Broward Workshop explains how the organization was created and its goal of making Broward a better place. On the transportation side, the Workshop is focused on the establishment of a seamless regional system, including the new commuter rail on the FEC tracks. Greg and Kareen discuss the history of Broward's transportation sales tax, the prospect of an inland port, and the Workshop's involvement in resolving the New River crossing. Kareen is one of the honorees at this year's State of the Region event.
