The Rank Order List (ROL) is a critical part of the residency application process for medical students. It is the list of preferred programs that a candidate submits to the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) indicating their desired residency program choices. However, creating a ROL can be overwhelming and confusing for many students. In this episode, I share the Dos and Don’ts of the rank order list that that candidates can use to maximize their chances of being matched with their desired program.
