The Rank Order List (ROL) is a critical part of the residency application process for medical students. It is the list of preferred programs that a candidate submits to the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) indicating their desired residency program choices. However, creating a ROL can be overwhelming and confusing for many students. In this episode, I share the Dos and Don’ts of the rank order list that that candidates can use to maximize their chances of being matched with their desired program. This includes connecting with the residents of the program that you want to interview and see if they are happy and ranking the programs that you want to go to. Tune in to learn more about this and other exciting topics!
