Speaker 1:

Oh man, what can I say? What can I say about what we saw last night? What can we say about everything we saw last night, the highs, the lows, the heart medicine that you all were taking out there between Kansas City and San Francisco yeah, I'm referring to you, dave, if you're listening. I mean every aspect of that, including the halftime performance from Usher Energy fire unbelievable. It was just. Are you serious? It was just the energy was just great. But I'm bringing TJ in here right now because the energy was just so unbelievable. Yeah, now I can understand how some people was like that game would have gave me a heart attack. That game would have gave me this. It was three seconds away from going into a second overtime a second one.

Speaker 1:

So, like I said, unbelievable. I loved every bit from beginning to end, some of the people that we've met, some of the people that we gave interviews to, the energy was just unbelievable. But I think Usher really tore the place down because they was all ready for Usher. Baby, they was all ready for Usher, but I just I don't know what to say. I really don't know what to say because the game was from beginning to end and congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs because they earned that Super Bowl. And that was not a give me on either part. Either part, that's right. On the whole half time show was great, but on either part, that was a great, great game. So congratulations to the Kansas City Chief. My family was hitting me all up on the text message. That's right, we this and we that. Hey, I know what, I get it. I get it. I get it, but go ahead.

Speaker 2:

No man, I have no words. All I have to say is, first of all, shout out to everybody that was there with us at Maron Live Casino as we, we enjoyed the Super Bowl game last night together. It was a great atmosphere, very great experience, something that I will personally never forget. It was just it there's no other way to say it. It was a movie, it was a movie man, it was a movie man. So shout out to everybody that that was there.

Speaker 2:

That was a part of the silly interviews that we did last night, because they were none short than silly, but really good. Man, I said earlier today I'll say it again Hate to be a bearer of bad news, y'all. We are in the Mahomes era. It's it's. It's a, it's a sad place to be in, because and I had this conversation with you once again was over. That.

Speaker 2:

You know the the, the thing that is going to bother the rest of the league is the fact that the last two years you had a chance at Kansas City to beat them to the throne them, and it just didn't matter.

Speaker 2:

You know, you know it's just. It's one of those things, man, where you know right when you thought you know earlier on the season with Kansas City, the drops, the, the, you know Mahomes struggles, the play calling struggles, the you know the different lows that was going on over the course of the chief season, and we were all like, ok, it's, it just would turn around and it not to be it at the end. You know it's just, it's just really insane, man, you know. And then you know we think about it right. Last year everybody had a shot to get you know to, to beat them because he didn't have Tyree kill and their defense was a bunch of babies pretty much it was Chris Jones, you know as a bunch of babies, it was nobody else and they found a way to get the job done last year. So now we're looking at back to back camps led by man he's the best in our league and it's not even remotely close. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I give you a pro.

Speaker 2:

You just got to give him the props, you know, I mean what you can't not give him the props.

Speaker 1:

They are there to bet there. They have this generation, they're the New England of this generation. They are, yes, yes, they are. And what was it? What was it? Don't Jim Nance said it last night? He said every 20 years, every generation that comes along someone, and right now it's my home, it's my home, it's, it is. And Kansas City, yeah, you know, you can't take anything away from that. Now, what I enjoyed more than anything was, again, that was a game from beginning to end.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

Both teams fought all the way to the end and we was three seconds away from going into a second overtime, a second game. Three seconds, three seconds. But both of them play their hearts out. And you know, I, you know, of course, you know I go through the social media and I see the chat and the first thing I saw someone post it was NFL rig. Really, I can use say this was great, because both of those teams played their damn hearts out last night. Kansas City was just a better team. No ifs, no ands, no buts.

Speaker 1:

And what they said was you know, I'm reading the comments or whatever and HC was commented under and he said a comment of Shannon hand didn't run the ball enough. And I tend to agree with him Just a little bit. I tend, because when we were down there watching what I kept saying run the ball, run the ball, run the ball. Oh, no, three passes, what are you doing? You see him, see was pounding over those boys, he was weighing them out. Run the ball. It was just. I was just like, okay, he's not running the ball, he's not paying attention to mistakes, okay, stop. You know, if they get pressure on Purdy, you know what's going to happen. It was hard, boy got in the game last night but I did it I don't blame you.

Speaker 2:

I don't blame you, but you know, in regards to the running game, I think where it was really pivotal was the third quarter. Yes, you know. Watching the game back today, tony see that McAfrey had two touches, two carries, throughout that entire quarter. It kind of told you the full story of how the game was going to turn out. And fortunately, regardless of how close it was because you know eight dropbacks from Brock Purdy I don't care who you are After that fifth or sixth dropback you start sailing a lot of balls. Now, the great thing about it was, say what you want about Brock, but Brock played a clean game. Everybody wants to, you know, beat up on Brock today. I don't know why, but you know all the boxes that you wanted to check in terms of how to play against Mahomes from a quarterback's perspective. He did that. He made the throws that he needed to make full. The most part you know it is that was I think we have a little technical difficulties.

Speaker 1:

You just came back in. He was frozen there for a second.

Speaker 2:

And, like you know, obviously Purdy did do his best. Jimmy G impression was sailing Debo again in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1:

What a chance for four. Yes, wide open, wide open.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But I'm sorry, I'm not going to let one play define. You know the performance he had. Um, because it it, I'm sorry, the game, if you, if you have to put a blame on somebody, you know we had the conversation yesterday about how they really shouldn't be a blame on anybody. But if you had to pick one, it would be called Shanahan.

Speaker 2:

You stopped running in the third quarter. You had the lead. You had the opportunity to just, you know, keep my homes off the field. You're averaging with McCaffrey four yards of carry. You know those four yards to. You know first and 10, that's now second and six, third and six. You know third and two now. So you know you missed out on those opportunities because, for whatever reason, you wanted to, I guess, throw them off guard by having to drop back to pass, but it cost them, it gave Kansas City momentum and so, um, obviously, you know, I think the third quarter, shanahan's play calling which otherwise was brilliant, by the way, let's not take him thing away from that I think it was play calling, play calling done on both sides was spectacular, um, but that third quarter where you had an opportunity to have the lead and keep it for as long as you possibly can.

Speaker 1:

He blew it.

Speaker 2:

He blew it. He took advantage of it, yeah.

Speaker 1:

And I kept saying why? Why isn't he running the ball? Right, he's running the ball because they what? As soon as Kansas City came out, it was what? Three and out, First drive, yeah, and they had a chance to just run the ball down it's rope. Run the ball down it's rope. Kill their will, yeah, and if they went up a touchdown that game would have been over. But also, where hurt them was that missed extra point? Heard him. Heard him Because, remember, Kansas City was able to come back and tie the game.

Speaker 1:

It hurt him. Yeah, it hurt him. So they were. This is that. That was a great, great game and to be a eight, eight, eight. But we're going to touch on this one too, because, to be fair, their refs actually called that down the middle.

Speaker 2:

Now they missed calls.

Speaker 1:

They missed calls on both sides. On both sides, yeah, but when you look at the penalties, they were even Six and six, five penalties on each team. They were even.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, six on each side, man yeah.

Speaker 1:

Even. It's like it was the perfect game, perfect. You know how we all with the refs and you know, you know, I stayed firing the refs up. I stayed firing the refs up. They did this wrong. They did that wrong they did. I stayed firing the refs up. And then this one. I can't really say that, other than that they was letting a lot of stuff go last night. They were as they should. It's the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2:

They was letting a lot of stuff go, as they should. It's the Super Bowl. Yeah, you got to. I mean this. May this may be a unpopular opinion, but I think it's fair to say that this game was probably the best ref game of the entire season.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, that's not popular.

Speaker 2:

I mean, I would have to agree with it. You know what I mean. Like, like, if we seriously have to look at it right, even the calls that you would say that they didn't call were still 50-50 to a certain extent, you know, and it wasn't. I have to watch. Maybe I have to watch the game again, but I could have sworn. There was not a single penalty that they did throw. That was egregious. You know. Everything was oh okay, that makes sense.

Speaker 1:

Even though we were yelling up there. I'm like, man, where's the holding? Hey, where's this? Yeah, okay, okay, speaking of that, the pass to Debo in the end zone should have been passing the first, because he had him hooked under the arm. And I'm like, where's the flag? He had him hooked on the arm, sure, but like I said, they that that one. I would say it was up there because that was a swinging moment. I'm like he had him hooked under the arm. I guess what the ref is looking at? Okay, the defense is looking for the ball. Yeah, I'm just, I'm just looking at 50.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's 50-50. You know so, even in the non-calls you can make the argument that you know what, if I was a ref, okay, I could see why they didn't throw a flag on that. Like that's basically what it was for me. Like you know even the non-calls, you're like, hmm, okay, I see why they didn't pull the trigger on that one. Okay, cool, yeah, that worked, that worked. And the calls that they did make, we was like, yeah, that's yeah, yeah, that is a, that was a really cool yeah. You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

I was in there just like okay, they didn't call this, okay, they didn't call that. It's just like when we started calling, you was like no, I was like look, they just replayed.

Speaker 2:

I just said no, cause it's 50-50.

Speaker 1:

Like it's the simple.

Speaker 2:

You know, I didn't know if they were going to be now, now if this was like week six of the season or something like that. Oh, probably a pass and a fair answer. Sure, Okay, Sure, but I think, like you just mentioned the fact that they were letting a lot of a lot they're letting a lot of stuff fly. You know even some of the scuffles that was happening during the game. Oh yeah, they usually got trigger happy with the penalties. They didn't.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. You know, man, like I said, it was to go Go.

Speaker 2:

Oh, do we freeze on them? Do we freeze on them then?

Speaker 2:

we hit the flash bang. Guys think we hit the flash bang on. There you go, there you go, flash bang. Okay, um, my bad y'all, my bad y'all, but but again, um, you know it was.

Speaker 2:

You can make the argument. This is one of the best of bulls that, dave, that we've seen like and in quite some time, and I don't think it's particularly close man and, ironically, this would be you know a game where the key star involved in this year, last year you know where it was just exciting games from start to finish, man, and so there's so many different things that you can look at that you can highlight, pinpoint, nitpick, if you want to. Like I said, I know everybody wants to Obliterate Brock pretty today. I don't understand why. Because, outside of that, one missed pass to Dibo. You know I Mean ah, ah. I mean, if you want to critique it to a more, to a deeper extent, you could also bring up the fact that he was 3 from 12 on 3rd down. But it was just. You know there's not much you can say about what was San Francisco Could have or should have done outside of the third quarter.

Speaker 2:

For, being totally honest, outside of the third quarter, from both sides, you couldn't ask for a better game plan, a Better outcome on each in every single play, and it just turned out that. You know it's good, yeah, kansas City pulled it out. That's that's. That's just it, that's just the the, the, the truth of the matter.

Speaker 2:

So you know, it's just I, just it is just such for the rest of the league, because we thought for sure that this would be the year that we would have your bold tomorrows of the world, your San Francisco's of the world, your, your Eagles of the world, you, yeah, that's him first time I said that name in about two months. Now I think, um, you know, uh, you know your cowboys, your, your buffalo bills, you know all these different contenders. We thought that they had a legitimate shot to this throne them, and they didn't. And, honestly, I Think that's the part that that scares me the most, if we're being totally honest here, is that they did all this, and One may argue that this is one of the you know Not, not well polished roads to the Super Bowl that we've seen out of Kansas City in the Mahomes era so far.

Speaker 1:

It right.

Speaker 2:

You know mistakes left and right. You know why receivers can't catch the ball. You know you know different. You know penalties being made at crucial points of the games over the course of the season, just for them to still find a way to win the Super Bowl right hey oh no man, what they say great teams.

Speaker 1:

Already you know they found a way to win. Yeah great teams find a way to win right, they're great team.

Speaker 2:

They found a way to win.

Speaker 1:

They found a way to win and, like I said, congratulations to Kansas City trees Number you can say Looks like a parade's gonna be up there on Wednesday, huh.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, and rightfully so.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, and, like I was saying before my wife, I got a squirrelly over here. I was saying this I said what else could you have done, seriously, what else could you have done? What else could you have done? What else nothing. You couldn't have done anything else. Right, you could have done nothing else Other than shanahan running a ball more. What else could you have done? Yeah, nothing, nothing. In both teams, both coaches coached their but off last night. Oh yeah, look at my Kansas City. For my family in Kansas City, a charming in the house. Hey, hey, like I said, congratulations y'all want. Yeah, hey, it's over. Hey, we can all become friends again now. We all friends again, least August. But I like this where her said Baltimore's up next Lamont under Year two, under new offensive scheme and Hall ball in the hot seat. Yeah, I agree with that, because all ball botching up a game yeah, we did. My cousin come party was not good, I'm good. Y'all have, y'all shine.

Speaker 2:

We did. We did quite a bit last night.

Speaker 1:

I think, yeah, yeah, we part, we party enough last night. And for everyone up in Merlin live that we interacted with and you know we pass card out to hopefully, if you're listening or you, catch this show later. Thank you, thank you, appreciate you. Like I said, we met some Eagles fan. We met some Cowboys fans from Washington fans, a lot of Ravens fans. You know we met every fan from all over the place, not even saw some care. A lot of Kansas City was up and they were. They were happy, happy last night, which is good, which is all good. I'm not mad. You was there, you rep your team a and it was just great. But, like I said, Super Bowl, what's that? That was the greatest Super Bowl to me ever because again going into overtime and almost until a second overtime to decide a game and it went down to the last play and, as you said, nostalgia, because that was the same play Brady ran.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I watched it back. I watched it back today and I was wrong. It wasn't the play that Brady did. They did the same thing that they did to us last year. They did it, the play, the play. In case everybody's wondering, it's called corn dogs, so basically what they have it to, where it's kind of in a bunch formation on the right side you have your fast wide receiver in the close to the lock, to the, to the tight end, and Basically the whole play is designed for the two outside wide receivers to just Create space for the fast wide receiver that's going to the sideline. That's all, that's all. Their routes is right and so Literally what they did was they, they, they ran the play and all you see is McCollardman slipped to the outside and If you look at the play you can see that the, the, the safety, because the safety was on him at one point. He.

Speaker 2:

Once he, once he saw my homes, got rid of the ball. He, just, he, just he was deflated after that. He didn't want to try to go after it because he knew, he knew he was open. He knew it was open. Yeah, corn dog, that's, that's the, that's the name of the day. Corn dog, that's what they decided to use to beat that team. And In in San Francisco last night, man, um to repeat, and I, I didn't think I would say that man, I, I'm not gonna lie, I'm still, I'm still in shock, as if it just happened.

Speaker 1:

I just it's unbelievable, it really is right, right, hey, man, I get it, I, I get it. His thing, his thing. Like I said that, it was a great game from beginning. Then, no matter which play you looked at it, they were incredible. They played their hearts out, they it was. It was just amazing. But, like I said, when it came to the third quarter and shanna hand, I was like he needs to run the ball more. Run the ball. I'm up there, red yelling, run the ball. Run the ball, run the ball, run the ball. I'm yelling, run the ball. He's not running the ball. I Would have pounded CMC and D-ball on him. Yeah, I would have pounded it, yeah, on them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But, like I said, what else could you have done? Really nothing. They were both greatly coached. Yeah, they were both great. It was nothing really else you could do other than the block them extra point, if you do, about that either. Yeah, so my thing with this is that they actually held them all the way down. You understand they held them. So if I think they, if they were to that extra point and they would held them, that game would have been no $40. I had the six ring.

Speaker 1:

But, it happened, can city wins and, like I said, they got a party up in Kansas City yeah.

Speaker 2:

They have a party in Kansas City and I think honestly, man Um the whole state of Missouri probably won't go to work. Everybody's going to sin on Kansas.

Speaker 1:

City watch.

Speaker 2:

They shouldn't, you know. I Think we need to have a conversation about my home. So, because I Don't think it does it justice the fact that he won MVP again, I Think the and this is the part that I brought up about my homes Earlier on the playoffs, and I'll say it again man, he's graduated to a point to where when, you know, we always know my home for being a playmaker off script, um, you know, you know, just kind of adjusting on the fly, on the fly, you know playmaking ability, that we've seen that for years. But he has graduated to a point to where he's figuring a lot of this stuff out pre snap, to where, if he figures you out too well, the ball's getting out quicker, is getting out faster, the, the, the catches are more fluent and efficient. Like he becomes more efficient with with more, like, literally with more experience as time comes on. And, mind you, he's only 28, ladies and gentlemen, he's, it's not like my homes is, is is 34, 35, you know, barely, barely making it, barely scratching service. He's 28 and he's figuring it out now without a great receiving core, without, you know, having to have the big-time leads to rely on for him to get some rest.

Speaker 2:

No, he's doing this in clutch situations and I think that's the most, that's gotta be the most aggravating Um thing to have to know about when you go against my homes. Now it's because it's not just the, the off script. Oh, he's just gonna pull something out of you know Out of a hat and then boom, you know we're gonna have a big play. But now it's like Okay, wait before we start off. Okay, I see that zone here. I see that linebacker is gonna move here. Okay, all right, you know what? Hey, you know what, kelsey in route, go Hike the ball. Now he's like spotting this stuff out like it's, it's, it's nothing. And honestly, you can't, you can't ask for a better quarterback than them. A homes right now.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you know, you know. So I Need to grow large and larger. Nobody wants to have the go conversation, and you know that will. That'll come, you know, sooner rather than later, obviously, but I think the development that he has shown this year in particular, given what he had to work with Um was was nothing short of spectacular. Yeah, I mean, you just couldn't ask for a better way of commanding the offense Then. Then what my homes did this year, you really can't, really can't, oh my god right.

Speaker 1:

Hey, listen, I got some Instagram comments here. Let's see, it's a great game indeed. Someone said MVP is MVP, he deserves it, period. Okay, I mean that the he came back came back and Won the game. I there's nothing you can say about it. There's nothing If you want to. If you want to critique this game in any way, sure, and I want to hear it, because the simple fact that I don't see anything, anything, that any coach could have did better. They did everything they needed to do to make sure they won that game, to make sure they won the game and can see, just, can see, just at it. No more hating on chief. No one was hating on chief. No one's hated on chief.

Speaker 2:

We've been no one's here for the past 31 minutes stop.

Speaker 1:

No one's hated on. What we said was and I just want to make sure that everybody in the listing world is listening to this yeah, is that. That game last night was one of the greatest games we ever seen. And no one, no one, no one, no coach, no player on that team for the day. Anything better To have changed the outcome right. It is what it is.

Speaker 2:

It is what it is. You know, it's weird if you and I feel like we're gonna be hearing this in a couple months too.

Speaker 1:

Wait, I got a funny comment.

Speaker 2:

I got a funny comment. I got a funny comment tree.

Speaker 1:

I Wait, we actually counted. We actually counted how much time, total time, they put the camera on Taylor Swift. We was counting, we was counting, we was counting. Stopwatch out and everything. It was a total of 34 seconds.

Speaker 2:

We was wrong. We were wrong. I just found it out today. You want to know what the time was in all reality.

Speaker 1:

What it was 54 seconds. Oh, I'm sorry, we were all by 20 seconds. You know we were all by 20 seconds when we miss 20 seconds at.

Speaker 2:

We were so caught up in how good the game was we would have never thought that it was a thing. I mean Wow. So almost a minute, almost a minute, almost a minute, and that was still less than 1% of the other Super Bowl broadcast. By the way, in case those want to talk about you know, oh, she overtook the game. And stop it. Nonsense, get over here, social, stop it, stop it, stop it.

Speaker 1:

Hey, Elsie said we had too much time. We had too much time lying. We was counting.

Speaker 2:

We kind of did, we kind of did, but we kind of didn't.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah right, yeah, right.

Speaker 2:

You know, but come on, man, stop. This is what I want to say. Right, stop with the Taylor Swift hate man, Like for real, like, like, like, let it go, let it go, man, let it go. She ain't do nothing at all, she ain't say the wrong thing. She's a minor in her business. You know handling her career, you know doing her thing.

Speaker 1:

Yes, man, you cannot explain that to my family in Kansas City. Okay, you can't explain that to them at all, not at all.

Speaker 2:

They want her gone okay, it's fine, it's fine. I bet she's invited to the cookout now, now that they won Super Bowl.

Speaker 1:

I bet she invited to the cookout. Look at the comment. Look at the comment. She's always in the description Stop it, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Look.

Speaker 2:

Tree. Stop it, man. She ain't do nothing to y'all. Nothing to y'all, man, Nothing to y'all. Look, man, y'all have had a fantastic record when she's in appearance. What is wrong with that? You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

Like what is wrong with me? Wait a minute, dee. Yeah, they in here, which would be acting like they happy.

Speaker 2:

They know that they scurvy just as much as everybody else is. Now I'm blaming them.

Speaker 1:

Wait a minute. Tree said I want the black girl back. No, you don't, you don't, you don't, you don't.

Speaker 2:

You don't, you don't, you don't, you don't, you don't, you don't, no, you don't, no, you don't. If you know what you need to know about that young lady. You would know that Travis Kelsey is good on this side of things. I'm sorry.

Speaker 1:

Not Becky with the good hair.

Speaker 2:

Yes, Becky with the good hair and we were messing around and making love song about it while we're at it, stop giving her our props man. Look man, I just need to slander this. Stop Like like, like she didn't do nothing to nobody, Then none of nobody. All year she dates one guy and all of a sudden she's the number one America's most hated, most wanted. Why Stop it?

Speaker 1:

Stop, stop, stop it Listen, listen, listen.

Speaker 2:

Listen, listen, come on man, come on man.

Speaker 1:

Hey, listen, taylor, let's see, let's see Kelsey gets dumped this offseason. Yeah, it's probably going to be a breakup song Immediately. Tj, we not hating on Taylor. Y'all been hating on Taylor all season. They'll be back cracking. Y'all been hating on Taylor all season long she don't need to be there.

Speaker 2:

She's a distraction.

Speaker 1:

Oh, oh, wait, wait, wait. We all these shows were recorded. We can go back and pull up some receipts. Yes, we can. We can pull up some receipts.

Speaker 2:

I'm all for it by the way Right.

Speaker 1:

And she's writing an album about him right now.

Speaker 2:

As she should. I understand.

Speaker 1:

I understand You've been hating on the Chiefs all season long. We haven't been hating on the Chiefs. No one's hated on the Chiefs.

Speaker 2:

We really doing this, what I?

Speaker 1:

hate on is the Pittsburgh Steelers Are we really hating on the Chiefs. I don't hate on the.

Speaker 2:

Chiefs, we really doing it.

Speaker 1:

We didn't hate. We didn't hate on the Chiefs. We called these games all season long the way they were. If they were up, they were up. If they were down, they were down. We was like we can't believe you, I lost to this team. We called it like we saw it, plain and simple, and no one's hated on anyone. Like I said up in Pittsburgh, I hate them.

Speaker 2:

I mean come on, man, come on, Come on. I mean can't, these are the things I have. Kansas City. I said at the beginning on the top of the show. I'll say it again what's most discouraging about them winning the Super Bowl is because of how many lows that they had to go through this year, because there were lows.

Speaker 2:

Let's not sit here and act like they had one of the best years in the Mahomes era. They did not. They did not Okay, they were losing some games, losing to a Denver Broncos team. They were losing to a Las Vegas Raiders team at home. Thank you, come on, man. And you know what, even in those games, we didn't sit up there and do it. We didn't sit up there and beat them up. We were just like, hey, you know what, man, they probably missed the enemy. They probably missed by Re-Kill. They probably missed Like it was small. You know what. You know what we're going to set aside.

Speaker 1:

Stop, stop, but they weren't important games. Every game you play in the NFL is important, every game you play.

Speaker 2:

They weren't important. You know what man?

Speaker 1:

They won the game. That's what matters. Okay, hey, miss Nikki, we got you and that's what we're on here for. They won the game. That was one of the greatest games. The coaching on both sides was outstanding. There was nothing really else any team could do to change the outcome of what could have happened. The better team won and we said that the whole show so far was Kansas City Chiefs. The better team won. It is what it is.

Speaker 2:

You know what. Come on, man. And you know what, kelsey, you know what. You know what. You know what, kelsey, I have a bone to pick with you Because, before this game started, you want to know what the hate I got was that. You know because of my analysis that I've been making throughout the entire playoffs in regards to Kansas City, that just automatically meant that I was going to pick the 49ers when, literally, if you watch the Super Bowl picks that I made for the game and Davis, you can let me know, you can let the audience know if I'm off on this I picked Kansas City to win this game. So, yes, you did. To still get the flag.

Speaker 2:

That I am getting right now about how we were talking trash about the Kansas City Chiefs and all this other nonsense is completely, completely insane. It is. We have got to do better than that. Man. We got to, we got to. My thing is to this day, I still haven't said anything bad about Kansas City. I'm pretty sure if I talk to any Kansas City player right now and I were to say you know what, give me an overlay on what you think the season was in a nutshell, everything that I said on this very podcast would align straight up week to week, because they know within themselves hey look, man, we just, we missing it here, we missing it there, we missing it there. Oh, we got the job done, but we squeak by. Come on, man, let's not do that, let's not do that, let's not do that you also I told you my family's charming and this is my family.

Speaker 1:

Any any Johnson you see on here, that's my family. We also went with good sportsmanship Again, as we called this the whole time on here, there was nothing Eva coach could have did.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

That would have gave them more of an edge in that game. That game was played down to a T and almost to perfection. Yep, there was nothing. There was nothing that there was. There was nothing, nothing anyone could have did that would have changed the outcome of that game. And again, other than when we talked about sharing the hand out, running the ball in the third quarter probably was a downfall, probably was a downfall. So, other than that, even overcoming that, they still went into overtime, right, still went into overtime, right, even overcoming that. So no one really is throwing shade at anyone. We over here giving props, yep, props, and I get props still to the 49ers Yep, upended there. They play one hell of a game to the final whistle. They may have lost, but they play one hell of a game. So well, what shade, what? What shade have we been thrown? I'm just trying to understand. What shade have we been thrown?

Speaker 2:

What shade Like I said.

Speaker 1:

It's just like, just like the whole stratosphere sitting out here. You know what? Like I said, the NFL is really all the game. Was this all the game? Was that? How'd you say it was rigged? It wasn't rigged and, like you said, and we both said it, the refs pretty much called that thing down the middle. Yep, the best game teams.

Speaker 1:

Five penalties on each side for each team. Yeah, it wasn't like One team had 20 penalties and the other one had two. It was called pretty much down the middle. Like I said, we complain about some calls they didn't call.

Speaker 2:

It's still 50-50 with the ones that we're complaining about. It's still 50-50 with the ones we complain about.

Speaker 1:

So let me say the Ravens is nothing to play with. They had a wonderful season, hands down. Yes, we did. We had a great season. And when it comes back to that AFC championship game and I don't know if you caught that show this is what we said about that show. Whatever, the Ravens didn't play their game. You got the number one rush office in the league and you didn't run the ball. That's a problem. You just completely threw everything out of your playbook and what we talked about that. Yeah, ravens did have a great season and, like I said, we didn't play our game. So if we play like trash, we deserve to be in the trash, and that's what he was in the trash.

Speaker 1:

So, like I said, there was that that was a great game. That was a great, great, great game there's. I'm giving props to both teams because they played their damn hearts out they played the damn hearts out. And you know, oh, I told you my family jumping in here. I just saw my cousin cat coming here. I'm pretty sure she's probably gonna come in soon.

Speaker 1:

They all come in here. They were waiting for this. They all come in here and, like I said, I Like I said gay props because that was a great Game. Absolutely no ifs. No as no buts. No one's throwing no shade, no one's throwing anything. They probably in ICU right now. That's what they probably is. Can I sit them a taxi? Didn't respond.

Speaker 2:

Leave Dave alone.

Speaker 1:

They was probably in the ICU, probably needs my heart medicine. Man, I'm gonna sit on a telegram up there knocks with Tennessee. See, if you're okay, listen, listen, listen. All I can say is Congratulations to the current state chiefs. They won no ifs, no ands, no. But guess what? We all friends again until August. We all friends again to August, even my AFC North people with. All friends again until August, until we can stop, you know, talking all this trash. So it's my bus, you know, hey, they're on the top of the mountain right now is what it is, and so someone de-throwns them. It's not me. Really can say that's it again, again, again. So I have a question. They think Taylor Swift paid for us to win the Super Bowl with the yard thing. Go ahead, tj, you can answer that good.

Speaker 2:

No, they didn't know. There was no transaction going on behind the scenes. Y'all I mean Literally the penalties were were on. Both teams were even split. Each team had six penalties throughout the entire game. Okay, and Again, we've been saying it since the beginning of the show you can't ask for a better game plan than what the 49ers or the chiefs did last night. You just can't wait.

Speaker 1:

I might have to answer this question. Go ahead, keep going. I'm gonna answer this. I told my family coming for me I gotta answer this question. No such thing as trash when it comes to the chiefs. You know I've been up there before, right? That's the only thing I'm gonna say. Right, there I'm saying right, you know I've been there, right.

Speaker 2:

Let's not let's.

Speaker 1:

I will.

Speaker 2:

I will. I will talk about this because I did see this today and it does not look good. Um, I saw that, um, kyle Shanahan didn't know the overtime rules. Now, right, okay, um, when we were watching the game live last night, they David Jones locker over here had to educate me on what exactly Was going on throughout overtime. Right, I actually needed that, that intellectual educational moment, because I had no idea, you know what, what was going on? Because it wasn't your traditional Overtime rule where I feel, go wins. It wasn't the. The overtime rule was where the first team that scores a touchdown wins the game. No, it was a totally different, a totally different Overtime set of rules, and so for me to ask those questions Was very necessary. I'm not in the game, I haven't played.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I don't know, I I don't have to, I don't have the overtime details to a tee. I still don't. Okay, and that's for me. That's watching the game. I will say this, mr Shanahan sir, for you not to know at all, for your players not to know at all, it's very concerning to me.

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm. Wait, man, I got a Instagram on a Instagram comment, so, oh, I also pick in my feelings, auto picked in your feelings. I'm period. Yeah, that's coming from Instagram. Haha, even on Instagram saying that she was in her feelings about it. What were you in your feelings about event? Come on, I'll tell you what. I'm gonna type something here, instagram. Come on, come on over the YouTube. I'm gonna send this to you.

Speaker 2:

I'm interested. I Was in my feelings that none of my and that way you can.

Speaker 1:

You can join the comment.

Speaker 2:

None of my bets hit man I'm still hurt. Man, I'm still hurt.

Speaker 1:

No, wait a minute Now this is. My cousin said that was fake news on the penalties and they were also some missed calls. Travis Kelsey had our first down. I guess you've been first down. It was clearly showed on TV. Okay, as we said, we were calling what happened. We were definitely calling them what happened on Some calls that were called and some calls that wasn't called. We said that but the referees Let a lot of stuff go doing that game. But there was certain calls that I was jumping up and down saying that's holding, that's passing interference, that's this, that's that. And when y'all send me one, I wear one. Travis Kelsey had the first down that had been called. We would never had to go into overtime. That wasn't the first down. I know what she talking about now. That wasn't the first time. Okay, remember when Kelsey was short on that first down and we clearly saw it was short? Yeah, that was a short. That wasn't the first down. Yeah, I'm gonna disagree with you on that one. That was the first down.

Speaker 2:

Okay, sorry y'all, so that's not the play I thought you were going for. I thought that you were gonna have another conversation about another 5050 play where, before we even got to overtime, where Mahomes and Mahomes through with the Kelsey at the goal line and there was Some contact going along with Fred Warner and Kelsey. I thought we were gonna have that conversation and yet again, I'll answer it with the same way that I've answered it from the very beginning. Even with the place that weren't called, it still was 5050 either way.

Speaker 1:

I do, I know my best. I don't have one here. If I had one, I wear it. So if I don't have it, I can't wear it.

Speaker 2:

Come on man, come on man. How to rough get more screen time than the game itself, this time of the man.

Speaker 1:

Hey, man, but I had to get props to the rest because they was jumping in between those players. Man, yeah, I Wouldn't be jumping between no 350 pound guy with some pads and a helmet on trying to break up a fight. No, let them do that, them fight. I don't know, I'll just keep throwing flags. Oh yeah, everybody ejected.

Speaker 2:

No game, right? Yeah, um, but I mean, that's, that's the best rough game that you could ever ask for throughout the entire season. It's not even close. I'm sorry, oh, I hate to be the bearer bad news, but I mean, from start to finish, they let the guys play. There was some, there was some contact on some plays, there were some, you know, you know some some holding, some non-holding, you know right, but they, but the ref, let them play when they needed to let them play. And Then when there were some obvious penalties, it was obvious and they had to call it, they had to call it, and again, it was still even splits. They, both teams, had six penalties each. Come on, man, stop it, stop it.

Speaker 1:

It was. No team could have done anything Better to give them self an edge. That was a back and forth game. That was a back and forth game, back and forth. What more can you ask for? It wasn't a blowout, it wasn't I. Anybody see the what the viewings were for it. Anybody say the view. Anybody see the viewing for it.

Speaker 2:

Yet no, it hasn't come out.

Speaker 1:

That's what I want to see.

Speaker 2:

It's coming though. It's coming though.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, that's what I want to see. The viewing of the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2:

It's probably coming tomorrow. Oh yeah, that's probably Wednesday actually, but yeah, it's coming but like I said, congratulations to the can see chief. Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

No ifs, no ands, no buts. But we got to my man usher. Yeah y'all they listed. What did y'all think? What would y'all think about usher? Best part for me and TJ just was like in amazement with this was Roll the skate. I say he's a skater, hey, I'm a skater, that's my thing. That's ready coming out on roller skate. This Nikki says thank you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I was a roller skate. What did y'all think about performance? Cuz I was like wow. I was getting it now. I was listening to deal hugely day and he was. I. Did you hear any audio issue issues with this? When he was singing? I don't recall him any audio issues no he was talking about that. There was some audio issues. I.

Speaker 2:

Got to watch it back now, no.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he was saying something about some audio issues, but I don't recall any audio issues.

Speaker 2:

No.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, that's south showed out. Oh, there were audio issues.

Speaker 2:

I I don't recall there'd be any type of audio issues but you know what, you know what we probably couldn't tell because we were, we were at, we were, we had the biggest TV screen, so we had the audio. But the audio in comparison to the atmosphere that was around us, you probably couldn't even tell if you wanted to write right. We can't tell you that. That's why I got.

Speaker 1:

I gotta look back at it again, but so apparently in the comments they're saying it was audio issues or something like that but interesting. I'll definitely go back and look at it. But yeah, they were saying something about the audience. But but from what I'm saying is this usher put on a damn performance. I was like hell yeah but I so I kept telling TJ's. I said I hope he come out on the skates. Oh yeah, he's like hey bro it's gates.

Speaker 1:

I was like, yes, he's a skater. And then some of the people that performed up there on stage for him, I knew a couple of them because they're skaters, yeah. So I was from the West Coast and some was from the East Coast. I knew who they were.

Speaker 2:

Wow so.

Speaker 1:

I was like nice and say a really modern brief Okay.

Speaker 2:

Jam.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, like I said, usher through on a performance.

Speaker 2:

I was just like yes, my humble opinion.

Speaker 1:

It wasn't his best performance and Alicia Keys voice was struggling.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I was gonna get there cuz. Okay, come on. Come on, miss, miss keys, man. Um, I Love her to death, man, she's still one of the finest people on the planet, um, but there were a couple moments when she was singing where I was like, yep, she's showing her age, man, she is showing her age, uh-huh, um, but you know, not too much on Alicia Keys is what it is, is what it is. I know everybody wants to talk about the infamous Usher getting behind her and the whole hugging shebang. Slash. I don't even know what you want to call it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I heard some people talking about that.

Speaker 2:

Can I? Can I just say this man, okay, say I get it right, it's usher, right? Oh, oh, that was. I wouldn't let my wife, you know, be all up on on a man like that, okay, okay, let's stop the nonsense for a second, please. Can we be real adults here? Okay, when we have all these, when we have, when we watch, when we go to these concerts and we watch them perform, do you know how many times you see a background dancer be all over the performer? Do we say anything then? Do we right? I don't think right. So so I mean a the fact that the fact that we're gonna step there and say, oh, I wouldn't let my Stop, stop it, it's a performance, just like my cousin say it's a show, they're entertainers.

Speaker 1:

That's what they did do to entertain you, the viewing public, their professionals. So all that was it's a show. Guess what?

Speaker 2:

I mean, I don't understand the difference like, like what, what was the? What was it going to change if it was a background dancer that was all over, a rihanna last year, or Beyonce or Like name insert whoever performer here If there was a background dancer that was that was doing more than what Oscar did last night? We were we gonna have an honest conversation about that? Probably not, so what difference does it make? Get over yourselves, let's, let's, let's be adults about it now. Come on, y'all, come on.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was an entertainment. Yes, and I don't think anyone in that stadium that saw that show, mine anything that happened and never did the entertainers. No, no, it's a show. People, people saying it don't have anyone to do with them, like that. They were the whole, they were missing. They were missing. Yeah, my other hair.

Speaker 1:

Come on, man Come on Well, like I said. But, like I said, I just Enjoyed the game, the half-time show and even after math, even the aftermath. You know, like I said, being up at the casino and just meeting the people and the interviews we do. I got a couple more I have to upload for the interviews.

Speaker 1:

Yeah but there were every fan of every team that was there. No matter who they rep, they were there and they was ran their team proudly, as you should. No matter if you in the dance or not, you rep your team always. Gina, I see you welcome. So, hey, gina, if you hear me, I saw your comment about the 49 is trash. I saw that. But, gina, that was a great, great, great, great game it was a great game.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so, like I said, we can all be friends again till August. But I gotta go back to my cousin because she said she referred to my comment outside. Been the case, she said what about Baltimore? I totally agree with you. I totally agree with you.

Speaker 2:

That's fair. That's fair. You ain't telling a lie about that. Let me ask this for y'all, for.

Speaker 1:

Alicia Keys husband already addressed this and say he would Say we don't do negativity over here. Gave and gave his wife and usher props. They said these are the great performers. I love the way they handle it to the media. Yeah, yeah, all that too yeah bam, bam, which I got, hey, which I got, to see down negative world. I'm just asking what y'all, what y'all have to say now. Come on, yeah, I don't have to say anything. I mean, what do you have to say? Not a word.

Speaker 2:

Like a word Come on, man, I I expect this from you. Know, those in my peer group Come on y'all. Come on y'all. Y'all are y'all got wives, kids, some of y'all grandkids. Stop it, stop it. Enjoy the show. It was a great. It was a great half-time show you can make the argument that it was top five ever.

Speaker 2:

You can have that conversation. That's how great it was. You know it. You just. It's just the, the fact that that people are having the Tivor Moli spot, that of the entire thing is just. It's Mickey, come on. Yeah, stop it Okay.

Speaker 1:

I got a question, I got a question. I got a question for all my viewers. Sure, in your lifetime in your lifetime because I know some people may not have been around for certain Super Bowls Sure, what was the greatest Super Bowl half-time performance that you think was the best For me, for me? For me, I think Michael Jackson. I Think Michael Jackson was one of the great. That's that, that's at the top for me, seeing his Super Bowl half-time. Hey D said the same thing. Michael Jackson, okay, my cousin says Prince. So, like I said for my Mike, that was awesome and you can look it up on YouTube. It's half-time performing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know what I don't? I don't want to Say what mines is, because, honestly, there were quite a few Super Bowls where there probably was a great half-time show, but I was just so, so caught up in being a kid and being nowhere near the game or near the TV during that time To watch it all unfold, but Um oh. Here we go. Hey, mj, again okay.

Speaker 1:

I don't think.

Speaker 2:

I don't think I was. I don't think I was Able to properly see the screen. If I was able to for MJ, it could be wrong.

Speaker 1:

I don't think I'm not yet this is.

Speaker 2:

Anybody remember that?

Speaker 1:

oh.

Speaker 2:

I don't even think I was alive.

Speaker 1:

yet I don't think I was talking about yeah. That's why I said in your lifetime, okay, in your lifetime, okay, like I said for me, it was Michael Jackson. But wait man, I forgot about this, it even rain while he was singing purple rain at that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that was. Oh man, that was good. I'm gonna put up there. I remember Prince. Prince was good, prince was really good. Um Geez, I don't know man. I don't know man, I swear I could be wrong, but I think like the past three to four half-time shows have been a little bit lackluster in my personal opinion. They may have been great names there, but in terms of the performance itself it's been kind of like, yeah, like I've seen concerts be better than this, stuff like that. That's why I, that's why I have us during such a high regard, because I, in recent memory for me, I Don't think I, I don't think I've seen anything like it, like since I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I gotta Respond to this one, jenny Jackson was good. He was so good, she can never come back. Let's, I Agree with you, but that that's a hard, hard decision. Yeah, but there was also culture you behind her show as well. Yes, it was, and 2004. So, like I said, janet was so good, she can never come back 2004 was MJ.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I Was three anyways, I Don't think I knew what. What MJ was? Well, in totality, or her. How about 50%? I want 25%. I was three. Get over it y'all. Yeah, I don't think I saw that one. I'll go back and watch them, oh yeah you can watch it on YouTube.

Speaker 1:

Okay, he put on a hell of a show and a. Yeah, I mean them two were the greatest performers of that time Prince and Michael Jackson, yeah two. I can't put one over the other because their styles may have been different, but they hit you in any way. They hit you in ways. Okay, when Purple Rain was made the movie Yep, when them songs hit you in ways that it was like, oh my God, this is oh my God. They just hit you know the performance of Lifetime when Doves cry. You know what I'm saying? Purple Rain, you know all them songs, man, they just hit you and I'm like, damn boy, prince, just smack you around and call you Sally.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was like, but then you got MJ, you got MJ right. He hit you too. And then he was like, hey, oh, okay, you bad Okay, but I guess what I'm going to see? Billie Jean right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

The way you make me feel Dirty. Diana Rilla, you got to hit you in different ways they got a list.

Speaker 2:

I'm not even gonna lie. They do have a list, both of them.

Speaker 1:

Wait a minute. Ms Nick said, justin just pulled out her big. Oh, never mind. Oh yeah, good part Behind the whole nipple thing in 2004 was Janet Jackson, tj agreed, so Michael Jackson is just an entertainer period yeah.

Speaker 1:

The Dove cry video was slapping. Yes, I'm telling you, I'm telling you, they were two right there. You put them high. You can't. I put them high, man. Yeah, I put them high. They are truly missed. They are truly missed, man. Yeah, their music, their music just hits you. You know what I'm saying? Oh, my goodness, and Prince was the only man that can wear heels, show up and show out, period. But wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I got one better than that, and this wasn't the Super Bowl halftime show. But I forgot what show Prince did and he had 100 people on stage with him. I don't know if anyone remembers this, and I think they know where I'm going with this.

Speaker 2:

But he had those butt out jeans and he turned around.

Speaker 1:

Oh my God, prince. I was like are you serious, are you waving a white flag? Prince just did shit. It was like did he just do that? Oh my God, you waving a white flag on that one.

Speaker 2:

I'm waving it long. And proud dog, I can't I can't.

Speaker 1:

Oh my Yup, it's still classy. No one knew in the audience knew he was wearing them jeans until he turned around Period. When he turned around I was like are you serious? Are you serious? The people in the crowd was like oh my God.

Speaker 2:

Oh my word.

Speaker 1:

So in the immortal days of living color, they made fun of everything, and they made fun of that too.

Speaker 2:

Oh my God, I totally forgot about that. I totally forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder. The reminder I didn't know I needed. Thanks for the visual. I'm just getting a lot of credence right now. But let me make something very, very clear, y'all, in case y'all think that I'm just some young guy that doesn't know anything, I've listened to both of these guys' music. By the way, let's establish that right now, I've listened to it. Some of them songs are in my playlist that I listen to on an everyday basis, so I don't want y'all pulling that card on me. Oh, are you too young to know about? Stop it, stop it, stop it. I know some of y'all were thinking about going that way, but that's just what it was. I just never saw the halftime show because I was probably too young to see it. Okay, so I just want to cover my tracks here so that way nobody would get hit with the wrong message. Okay, yeah, yeah, I feel better now.

Speaker 2:

I feel better now.

Speaker 1:

You feel better now.

Speaker 2:

I feel a lot better now, man, you know that's coming.

Speaker 1:

My family, my family, my family up in Kansas City, y'all going to the parade. Kelsey you driving up there for the parade? I'm just asking, Good luck.

Speaker 2:

I'm just asking.

Speaker 1:

Who's going to the parade. Good luck, man. I know the whole state of Missouri ain't going to be working. Oh, no, oh the whole state's not going to be working. They're going to shut everything down. Everybody's going to send in on Kansas City. Where's the parade going to start?

Speaker 2:

Where's it going to end? That's why I wanted to, if we're going to see my homes and Kelsey on a championship podium going 7 am.

Speaker 1:

will be there, lord Hammersley, 7 am.

Speaker 2:

Is when it starts 7 am. Is when it starts or what time y'all be there. That's what I wanted to know.

Speaker 1:

I think that's what time it's going to be there. Try to get a good spot. You might want to get there full one in the morning, right, I mean hey. Wow, schools are even closed.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you got to, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I'm sorry Because I don't think anybody went to school anyway.

Speaker 2:

What I have? To go into school after knowing that the home team that you're a part of just want to get out of here.

Speaker 1:

Okay, it's going to end that you. You just station, okay.

Speaker 2:

All right oh it starts.

Speaker 1:

It starts at 7. Okay.

Speaker 2:

It starts at 7.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, let's see Early morning. You would have to get there early and leave your car at home. Period.

Speaker 2:

Pretty much man. Good luck man Listen listen, listen.

Speaker 1:

Whoever goes to this parade, please send me pictures. Whoever goes to the parade, please send me pictures.

Speaker 1:

I want to see all the festivities yeah, videos, pictures, because I want to post them up here on the on the sites. The show everybody, hey, hey, look, hey, they're having a good time up there, can't see? Please take pictures and videos, send them to me please. I want to upload them. If anybody live streams it, please send me a text or something and let me know and I'll share it Everybody else can see. And it's supposed to be 60 degrees up there. They got great weather.

Speaker 2:

Can we get that?

Speaker 1:

great, great weather.

Speaker 2:

Can we get that please?

Speaker 1:

Oh, they're about to break the internet with those pictures. That's fine. Anyone that goes. Please send me pictures. I'm going to be posting them out on all the social media stuff. Please send me pictures or send me videos. They paint in the town red. Okay, hey, they deserve it. They deserve it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I'm not going this year to be too packed. It'll be. It's going to be too hot. I'll be watching from home this year. Okay, all right, that's cool, that's cool, that's cool, I get it. I get it. Let's see on Wednesday morning. Okay, like I said, send me pictures please, and I'm going to be working. But y'all send me pictures. I'm going to post them out on social media sites. I'm posting because I'm going to share y'all. Joy again. Y'all, that was a great performance. Yeah, y'all earned that one. Y'all earned that one. We said. We said you're right, y'all got all the right, all the bragging right. You said what you said. So, like I said, I'm going to post them out. I'm going to share. I missed it the last two years. Are you going this year? Are you going?

Speaker 1:

to drive back up, there Are you going to go? Yeah, I'm just saying are you going to go?

Speaker 2:

I'm just saying hey.

Speaker 1:

I'm taking a picture right now they're right, I should hey listen, I will go.

Speaker 2:

I'm just saying if it was me, I would go yeah. Just for the experience man Just for the experience Like that was insane.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because here's the thing, here's the thing Going to a championship parade man. When I went that one in Baltimore in 2012, I don't think anybody in the state of Merlin went to work at all. Rodie, welcome, I see you. So I don't think anyone went to work at all At all.

Speaker 2:

Wow.

Speaker 1:

And it was just crazy. And people was trying to scale the walls at the stadium to get in there, just to see them come into the stadium. It was crazy. It was crazy. So those championship arrays, they awesome.

Speaker 1:

They awesome. Yeah, but see me, I would definitely. I would definitely go to the ending point instead of going to the beginning point. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, or being somewhere on the route, I will go to the ending point because that's when they say the speeches and all that. I prefer to be there to listen to all that, right.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

So you definitely need to experience the least one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, congratulations. See, hey, listen, we ain't sports, sports. We in here, we tell you congratulations, we tell you all that, again, we could not ask for a better game than that. And, like I said, it's just like Kansas City earned that championship last night. They earned, they worked for that championship. It's just like when Tom Brady had went to Tampa Bay, that was the only championship he earned, because in New England he stood up. Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, my bad. There you go.

Speaker 2:

There you go, man. I'm just so glad I'm on the NFC side. Man, I could only imagine being on the AFC year and a year out. It couldn't be me. But I said it earlier on. Now say it again, man, the reason why I'm reacting the minute I am is because this is so discouraging for the rest of the league. Doug, we thought this year was going to be the year we tried. I swear to God, we tried everything.

Speaker 1:

We tried everything, we put every amount of press on them we could hey, this next year. We're going to do the opposite. That's what we're going to do, actually. We're going to do the opposite. We're going to do the opposite. We're going to do the opposite. We're going to do the opposite. Like I said, we all friend. We're all friends again until August. What's August? Get his own and pop it.

Speaker 2:

We literally tried everything to make sure that they did not find themselves in the AFC championship game, just for them to find themselves in winning the Super Bowl. Right, I mean, I mean it's just, and I say discouraging for the rest of the league, the rest of the NFL, is because my homes doesn't have a great wide receiving core. No, the offensive line is not the greatest. The defense was a bunch of kids outside of Chris Jones. If there was ever an opportunity to get them, it was this year, it was last year, back to back. Really, I mean it's just, and I say discouraging for the rest of the league. Really it's discouraging man. It's discouraging man because I'm going to take some right now. I know y'all, I know y'all like to think that you know, when Kansas City wins the Super Bowl, that they're not going to do anything in the offseason. Oh, trust me, if there's some opportunities to add to that, to that roster, they definitely are going to do it.

Speaker 2:

I mean I just it's really discouraging, it's really discouraging.

Speaker 1:

We just have to look at the salary cap, see what they got. Are they going to lose people? Because, remember, there's going to be a lot of shifting going on around the league and certain things we talked about with certain teams, and I'm going to jump on Pittsburgh here for a second, my favorite team. I love to hate they talking about trying to get Ryan Tannehill.

Speaker 2:

You know what else I would do. Why would you do something like that?

Speaker 1:

You could probably go after Justin Field.

Speaker 2:

You know what I've heard too.

Speaker 1:

I'm honoring my bet.

Speaker 2:

Ain't nobody skip over your comment.

Speaker 1:

Game on screen.

Speaker 2:

You know what I've heard too they're looking at trying to try to see if they can get a deal for Russell Wilson. Can I let y'all in on Wilson Bray?

Speaker 1:

I don't think Russell Wilson can handle the AFC North.

Speaker 2:

He's not good enough to handle any division right now. Did we just forget about what happened last year and the year before? Come on Pittsburgh. Look, it's not rocket science, it's not, I swear. Literally all y'all need to do is either go out to the fields see what the market looks like. If you're not able to get fields with a solid deal, get somebody in the draft. There's like six to seven quarterbacks to choose from on a rocket.

Speaker 1:

Don't do him like what Don't do him like that. We speaking facts.

Speaker 2:

Come on man.

Speaker 1:

We speaking facts Okay. First team couldn't even beat the third string, miami Dolphin.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, come on, man, stop it, stop it. We just saying by the way you trade for us to Wilson, You're taking on the contract that Denver is not even paying him yet.

Speaker 1:

Right, right Right.

Speaker 2:

Stop it, stop it. That's gonna be the end of conversation. That should be the end of Russell Wilson conversation right there, because Denver is not even paying him the contract that he got. Right now, seattle still paying.

Speaker 1:

You see everybody's trying to get on me about this bet. Again, I don't have one. Come on, as soon as I get one, I will wear it. I don't have a problem with it. If I wore a brown bag over my head because I lost a bet, what makes you think I'm not gonna wear jersey? Come on, I wore a brown bag. Anybody can go back to week 18 of the episode of this show and I had a brown bag over my head for the whole episode.

Speaker 2:

It was a brown bag.

Speaker 1:

I honor my bets no ifs, no ads, no buts. I honor my bets because don't think the podcast is stopping because football season is over, Because that little top is we're gonna be jumping into Mmm-hmm, oh my goodness. So again, it's it's, it's crazy. I will honor my bets. I don't black down from no bet. Any bet I've took on this show. I've honored any bet, no matter what, and outrageous and outlandish it's been, I've honored my bet. So where's it? Where's it? There's there's excuse. There's no excuse. I've honored all my bet. Well, what day can I tune in? Hey, as long as you got the notifications when I come live, you'll see it, you'll see it as long as you got notifications.

Speaker 1:

you will see it Because, trust me, I give you a 30 second countdown before I come on.

Speaker 2:

So I give you 30 seconds.

Speaker 1:

I honor all my bet, all my bet. So Wow. So it is what it is. It is what it is, but, like I said, great game. It was a great game it was. It wasn't a blowout and it had people stressed out, so it's crazy.

Speaker 2:

It is.

Speaker 1:

But, like I said, but usher toward the house down and then you got back to business. Yep, yep, wow, yeah, really, I got to put on cheese dirty. Listen, I honor my bet. I order one and put one on for you, all the cheese people, all the cheese people and my family up in Kansas City. So I just got to. I got to get some of my other ones. I got some crab cakes up there. I got to buy some liquor. You know I like to say honor all my bet.

Speaker 1:

So it's all good. It's all good. Wow, oh my God, he's here. I know it's all good. Hey, listen, I take the heat. I take the heat. Always Bring it on when. If I ever back down from any smoke, I have it. I don't back down from any smoke, just like some of my fair. Wherever people is in here, you know they come in when a team win, but they don't come in when a team lose.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

We needed to work FedEx early, yeah. So here's my thing, and here's my thing, my final take, my final take, and I'm going to leave it at this. Sure, congratulations again to the Kansas City Chiefs. But the San Francisco 49ers, you ain't got nothing to be ashamed of because again, you made to dance and y'all played your damn hearts out, hearts out, hearts. Y'all played your hearts out. Y'all left everything on the field. Nothing to be ashamed of. Did y'all want to ring? Yes, this didn't happen this year. I guess what? Just a few extra pieces Could be right back there next year, and they actually got them on odds of getting back there again.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

So y'all just getting back there again. So again, just because football season over doesn't mean we over, because we ain't, because we got a lot more stuff to talk about, especially things we see as news stories, stuff like that, because I want to jump on some other things and you know, I'm going to say this, I'm going to say this, I'm going to say this Sure, I want to talk about first date on another episode. How about the first date? Thank God, thank God. Yes, we're going to talk about the first date because it's a thing and it's funny to me because I always hear the whole cliche who should pay? Man or the woman, right?

Speaker 1:

Or wait, wait wait, give one even better. Let's do this. Oh, the man's at the table for someone's birthday and I should pay for everybody at the table. What, oh man? Yeah, you know what I'm jumping? Yeah, yeah, oh, yes. Yeah, we're going to jump on that on another show.

Speaker 2:

Oh, my God, oh yes.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we're going to jump on that on another show. Wait wait, roder. You said no, oh no, I want to hear people's opinions on this because, trust me, I want to hear people's opinions on this. You said that was a hot mess. Yeah, I want to hear people's opinions on this. I'm looking forward to that one.

Speaker 2:

I'm looking forward to that one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because here's the thing. Here's the thing. Here's the thing With this whole new. You have the old school people and then you have the new school people. So people's logic of thinking these days are completely different from what somebody thought back in my day. So what you might think is extreme, oh, you'd be like wait, what happened, what you did, what you wouldn't have thought about that back then. So it's just a good conversation.

Speaker 2:

It is.

Speaker 1:

Oh, as in, the dude shouldn't pay to have wait a minute, that dude shouldn't not have to pay for everybody. I'm just saying.

Speaker 2:

We'll get into it. We'll get into it. Yeah, we'll get into it.

Speaker 1:

We will get into it, we will get into it. Wow, all right, I got to get your final thought. Get your final thought, right, oh?

Speaker 2:

sure man, one hell of a game. You can make the argument that this is probably one of the best Super Bowls that we've seen of all time. You can make the argument that the Kansas City Chiefs have been a part of not one but two straight Super Bowls. That can be in that conversation and you could put a lot of credence to Patrick Mahomes, andy Reed, what they continue to do year in and year out.

Speaker 2:

San Francisco 49ers, man, you came up just short, but it doesn't take away just how well that y'all did from beginning to end, man. And you know, I know everybody wants to slander Perti for whatever reason, but I'll highlight again that you couldn't ask for a better game from him. You got a clean game from him. You know the defense played out of it, out of its mind, all things considered, and you just lost to the better team. And that's okay. It happens, you know.

Speaker 2:

So I just I hate to keep sounding like a broken record, but it's just discouraging that Kansas City still found a way to win the Super Bowl, even though they had all these different things that they had to go through this year. And when I mean discouraging, I'm talking about the rest of the league, not, you know, not talking about Kansas City in particular but they were able to do what they did without having a known number one wide receiver, without you know, with drops going on all over the field, with miscues on offense, you know, with injuries at certain parts of the season, all these different things that could have hindered them from getting there. And they still are, your rain hink, defending Super Bowl champions. I'm not going to do your full, paul Heyman, right now, but you get the idea. Oh, I thought you were.

Speaker 2:

I was going to. I thought about it, I thought about it. I'm not going to, I'm not going to. Okay, okay, okay, okay. They are still your raining defending two time NFL Super Bowl champions of the world. Your Kansas City Chiefs repeat again as Super Bowl champs, man, and it's discouraging.

Speaker 2:

And we tried, we tried everything. We tried getting them more pressed. We tried watching all the worlds happen before our very eyes. We tried it all, we tried it all. You know all the different social media outlets. We tried everything. All what's going on with the Chiefs? What's going on here? What's going on? What's going on? What's going on? Oh, we know what's going on in their hosting a trophy and not going to have a parade on Wednesday to show what was going on this whole time.

Speaker 2:

So you know what, man, it is what it is. We're in the Mahomes era, you know. I don't know what the conversation was. You know, when Mahomes lost to Brady in Super Bowl a couple of years ago. I don't know if there was some secret stuff back in Space Jam that was handed over from Brady to Mahomes. I don't know what the transaction was. But, man, hey, it is what it is. There ain't much that we can do about it until we get to next season and see what's been made, different changes that's been made in free agency and in the draft and things of that nature. But congrats, casey, you did it again and, lastly, go.

Speaker 1:

Chiefs.

Speaker 2:

There you go, there you go For y'all. Oh oh yeah, you're still describing my Chiefs. Get out of here, stop it, stop it and no one did.

Speaker 1:

No one did the whole show.

Speaker 1:

We just said that was a great game. We enjoyed the game. It was one to just be. Oh, if you missed any play, you missed the game. Yeah, you missed the game. If you missed any play, you missed the game. And that game was great and we enjoyed it and we hope that we get great games like that next season too. So we will see. But, as always, thank y'all for tuning in and we'll be back. We will be back with another show Again.

Speaker 1:

Anyone that goes to that parade, please send pictures and videos, please. I will post for y'all. I definitely want to see. I definitely want to see the crowd Definitely want to see the experience. So you know me being in my lifetime actually going to a parade. I know the experience, but I want to share your experience also. So right until then we're signing off. It was a great, great football season. Love you to love you to Great, great football season. You know we'll be back. Like I said, we're going to be covering other things. We're going to be talking about things. Like I said, if I see some squirrelly stuff, I'm going to come over here and talk about it.

Speaker 2:

We see squirrelly stuff.

Speaker 1:

All the time we see squirrelly stuff, but again you're reigning defending undisputed NFL champions. I can't see. And on that note I'm going to sign off. On that note I signed off on a high note. Okay, see y'all later.
