Offensive Woes: Eagles' Breakdown, Buccaneers' Brilliance, and Devontae Adams' Uncertain Path
Have you ever seen an NFL team fail to generate any offensive yards? This week, we dissect the baffling performance of the Philadelphia Eagles against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. From critiquing head coach Nick Sirianni’s questionable decisions to analyzing Baker Mayfield's renaissance and the Buccaneers' strategic use of Mike Evans, we uncover how such a disastrous outcome unfolded. Fans and analysts alike are left scratching their heads over the Eagles' implosion, even with their star players sidelined.
Is it time for the Eagles to reconsider their coaching strategy? Despite their strong defensive showing against the Saints, the Eagles’ recent defeat to the Buccaneers raises serious concerns. We scrutinize the challenges of a beleaguered offensive line and the apparent disconnect between quarterback Jalen Hurts and Coach Sirianni. The episode underscores the urgent need for strategic changes if the Eagles hope to salvage their playoff dreams. With the bye week on the horizon, we speculate on potential adjustments and improvements to avoid future disappointments.
What lies ahead for Devontae Adams amidst the Raiders' chaos? We dive into the ripple effects of Antonio Pierce’s decisions and how they might influence Adams' career choices. Balancing between a lucrative contract and the desire to play for a contending team, Adams faces tough decisions. We discuss potential trade scenarios involving teams like the Rams and Ravens, and how these moves could reshape the NFL landscape. Whether it’s a return to Green Bay or a fresh start elsewhere, Adams' future remains a compelling narrative to follow. Tune in for an episode packed with drama, strategy, and the relentless pursuit of football excellence.
The Power of the Power of the Power of the Power of. Can we say what a week for. Can we say we are excited? Can we say, hey, that was a great week and everything's still shocking us. It's your boy, your, your boys. Tj, dk, dk and Tree Podcast full effect. All I'm saying is man, I'm excited. And as the week's going on, I tell you just like this I still don't know nothing. Teams we think should win ain't winning, and teams we think should be beaten get shellacked. Yeah, this is unbelievable, unbelievable.
Speaker 1:I I don't even know what to say. I don't know what to say. I don't even know where to begin. I mean, of course I can start with the home team, but no, I I'll wait for the shellacking. You know, the bills fans had enough for me, uh, sunday night. I'll wait on that. I'll wait on that. I'll tell you what. Where do you want to dive into today? You?
Speaker 2:tell me when do you want to dive into today. You know what I'm feeling some kind of way. You know what let's talk about. Let's just get my team out of the way, shall we? Oh the Eagles. Let's talk about the Eagles and Bucs for a second.
Speaker 1:Hey, did we check on? I was just about to ask about you. I was just about to ask about you, man, you beat me to the punch.
Speaker 2:We will get the.
Speaker 1:Eagles out the way right now.
Speaker 2:Yes, let's address this please. Um, the. In case you missed it uh, the buccaneers and the eagles played this past sunday and it was embarrassing. I think that's the, that's the best way to put it. Now, obviously, I am obligated to watch every game, so I was forced, I forced myself to watch the remainder of that game and it was bad. Okay, all right, it was real bad, all right. It was so bad that the Eagles offense generated zero, zero, I repeat, zero, zero offensive yards. Now, I don't know about you, I didn't even think that was humanly possible. I'm serious. I'm serious.
Speaker 1:I didn't even think that was possible. Yes For an NFL team. That is not humanly possible.
Speaker 2:Look, nfl college peewee intramural. Like seriously, I've never seen that shit before. Ever, zero yards out of an offensive team. Now, this would be different if we were talking about, say, like a Steelers, a team that's led by the defense. The offense don't have to do too much. Okay, something crazy like that. Okay, cool Whatever For an offensively led team. And granted, no, they didn't have Lane Johnson. But those are excuses. I don't want to hear that, no more.
Speaker 1:That's no longer a thing. No AJ Brown, no AJ Brown. No AJ Brown, no Devontae Smith.
Speaker 2:I get it. I don't want to hear it. You want to know why? Because this is why we paid Jalen Hertz all that money a couple years ago. Is that in the case, like last Sunday, we need you to bail us out? And in this case, literally sad thing is to me it's not going to get fixed during the bye week. Yeah, I'm going to get there. I'm going to get there. You want to know why? Because we're going right back to square one from last year, where it's the same culprit again Again.
Speaker 2:I asked every single person. I asked every single person who was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles or NFL fans alike what the fuck does Nick Sirianni do? Well, I will wait. He doesn't control the offense. He sure as hell don't control the fucking defense. He doesn't control the offense. He doesn't control. He sure as hell don't control the fucking defense. That ain't happening. So what does he do? The only time I get to see? Oh, okay, Okay, the Marcus Lawrence for the for the cow girls is placed on on injured reserve for four weeks. Oh yeah, that's breaking news. He doesn't do any. Oh yeah, that's breaking news. He doesn't do any of that. None of that. The only time I get to see Nick Sirianni on screen during the NFL telecast. Is him doing yes or no if they're going for it on fourth down? And in case you missed it, if you blinked, they went for it on fourth down again and the game is no longer playing.
Speaker 1:That's my point, which had me baffled. I'm like why is he going for it? What? Why is he going for it? Seriously, you know?
Speaker 1:I've always been a fan of take the points. You know how it is. Take the points, take the points, take the points. Why are you going for it on fourth down, especially? You're not on really your plus side of the field. And again, I just knew I said Eagles going to get their revenge for that playoff game. I said all right, that's cool, my stock is in the Eagles, Nope, and I was like when I was looking at the game I said what the hell is going on? This is Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 2:Baker Mayfield. This ain't the Baker Mayfield we know and love. I'll tell you that much. That dude's a baller. He's a baller right now. Seriously.
Speaker 1:But look at the weapons he has around him. Come on now. This is what their whole game plan was of going into that game with y'all. They said we're going to get to Mike Evans, we're going to get to Mike Evans fast. We're going to get to Mike Evans. We're going to get to Mike Evans fast. We're going to feed him the ball. We got to get this ball out because we know the Eagles are going to come for us.
Speaker 1:But to not score one yard, one yard, I mean not even one in a whole quarter, that was demoralizing for me. Just watching the game I was like oh no. And of course, you know your girl in here. You know Tish. She said hell of a bad. You know something. The one thing I can say about Tish is she is loyal. Wherever they win or lose, she's loyal. I love you, tish. I do, I appreciate it. But getting back to this, I'm like and I'm starting to listen to you now more. But getting back to this, I'm like and I'm starting to listen to you now more what the hell is going on with Nick Sirianni? Like, look, we need to change this up. This ain't working. We need to go vertical, not back, and side to side is not working. That's not working. You have to push the ball down the field. Wait, y'all still got Saquon Barkley Come after the run game the field.
Speaker 2:Wait, y'all still got Saquon Barkley.
Speaker 1:I got nothing.
Speaker 2:I got nothing.
Speaker 1:Seriously, I'm just saying there's no way, there's no way that the Bucs should have went up 21. Nothing that fast, no way, none.
Speaker 2:None, none, and I'm like no. And you know, what bothers me is that. This is why I always say this is a week to week league. It's not so much of what your resume is, but what have you done for me lately? Just last week, they held the New Orleans Saints to just 12 points, 12 points. I saw that game, we all saw that game. They held them to 12 points.
Speaker 1:Absolutely, we go from there. We're going to tell them to link up for that Q&A on Saturday. Yeah, we'll push it out. I'm going to push it out on all the socials. Okay, as a matter of fact, I ain't doing nothing Saturday. I'll be there, shit.
Speaker 2:So will I Just let me know the time I got you.
Speaker 1:Yeah, just let us know the time We'll be there.
Speaker 2:So to go from giving up 12 points and having arguably the most dominant performance I've seen of the Eagles defense in literally quite some time. You have to go back to the Super Bowl run. That we had To go from that to giving up 21 in a blink of an eye was embarrassing, seriously. By the way what makes this worse is Tampa didn't have all their offensive linemen together no and that's what pisses me off.
Speaker 2:Their offensive line was banged up and they pushed the Eagles around like a bunch of idiots all game long. It was unbelievable, it was unbelievable and was unbelievable. I literally, I literally and and damon will tell you I had to stop watching after like what close to halftime. You didn't get a half time yet. I was like I can't, I can't, I can't do this because I don't care how I am hey, what is going on in tampa?
Speaker 1:this, this, um. So my Tampa friends. Of course they're calling me. Yeah, you see what we're doing to the Eagles. We heard you picked the Eagles to win this game. You see what we're doing to the Eagles. I couldn't even defend it.
Speaker 2:There's nothing to defend because the Eagles defense didn't even defend. Like seriously, there was nothing to defend because they didn't defend themselves. Seriously, there was nothing to defend because they didn't defend themselves. I'm like yeah that was a big one.
Speaker 1:I said come on Eagles.
Speaker 2:I said look we got to get this together.
Speaker 1:We right up and down the room from each other. We got to get this together.
Speaker 2:Man, and then they got a bye week. This week, boy, something got to change. I don't know what that something is, but something has to give, because Jalen Hurts is saying, hey, me and Nick Sirianni don't really talk like that. That is not music to my ears right now.
Speaker 1:That's a problem because remember I said this last year, looking at Jalen on the sideline when things were going bad and stuff like that. I said look at at Jalen on the sideline when you know things were like going bad and stuff like that.
Speaker 1:I said look at this demeanor on the sideline. That tells you a lot, just looking at their demeanor. And when you lose a locker room, that's a problem, that's a problem. It's the same thing I've said with Harbaugh. Harbaugh's lost that locker room, he's lost it. Ravens was like look, we fed up, we are much better than this and we're going to do something about it. And I think the Eagles players have to say the same thing we are better than this and we're going to do something about it. It's just, I don't know. I don't know who to blame. I don't know who to blame. Play calling I. I don't know who to blame. I don't know who to blame, play calling I don't know who to blame for that.
Speaker 2:It's decision making. It's decision making. And it all starts up top. I'm sorry. I mean I was talking about him being gone last year, but everybody was so caught up in the fact that he won games, even though he didn't win the games, that they decided to keep him. It was like what do y'all want? Y'all want to just win games, or do y'all want to go deep into playoffs? What do you want?
Speaker 2:Because your roster screams go deep into playoffs. That's what your roster screams right now. So do you just want to win games or do you want to be deep into playoffs? What do you want? I want to go deep into playoffs. And if I want to go deep into playoffs, nick sirianni probably needs to go, because he don't do anything.
Speaker 1:He's just out there. Everybody's trying to get to new orleans. That's the whole thing. Everyone's trying to get to new orleans. That's the goal. Get to new orleans. That is the goal I'm not satisfied with. If I'm having a mediocre offensive defense mediocre, I mean meaty, and that's what it was it was just mediocre, it wasn't hitting on anything and I was like come on, man. So of course, what Baker do? He's flexing right. Hey, herb, welcome. What's up. Herb, welcome to Super Bowl Champs. You heard it here first. Hey man, you know when Herb he start talking and stuff, man, and then I'll be like not yet the next thing. You know it done came true.
Speaker 2:I'll be like, oh man, herb was right. All right, I'll keep the tabs on this Herb. I'll keep the tabs on it.
Speaker 1:I'll keep tabs on it, okay, but hey, you know something After the bye week, after the bye week for the Eagles, if nothing doesn't change, I'm going to be on that ride. That he has to go, seriously. He has to go Because, again, what's the famous words that's going around? Antonio Pierce, a business decision, seriously.
Speaker 2:A business decision Seriously. A business decision and, speaking of the Raiders, boy, oh boy, they got some business decisions to make.
Speaker 1:And I never thought I would say this.
Speaker 2:I never thought I would say this after they win a game, but that's literally what's happening right now. Hey, you're taking bets. That's happening right now. Hey, you're taking bets. Good for you. If we lose two of the next four, Nick is gone. They're not going to fight him during the season. But look, I mean seriously, something has to give. We saw this shit last year. I'm not doing this again. As an Eagles fan, I'm not doing this again. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. We have too much talent on that roster. It'll be different if we didn't get to the Super Bowl two years ago. We got there two years ago. We've been there. We know what it takes. Do it. If that means that we need to make a decision at head coach, do it. And everybody's talking about Bill Belichick. Can I throw another name out there? Mike Vrabel, how does that sound.
Speaker 1:Yep, mike Vrabel, yep.
Speaker 2:How does that sound? At least he understood how to get offense right. At least he knew that that entire facility needed to be physical or else it was not playing. Everybody out there needed to be physical. I mean seriously, Someone would have to give. I don't even need to see 2-4. If they start going down to a no, they could win the next three games.
Speaker 1:If they don't play.
Speaker 2:Well, I'm going to still look at Nick Sirianni. I don't care, because winning is not everything for us. Winning is not everything for Baltimore. Winning is not everything for Kansas City. Winning is not everything for Baltimore. Winning is not everything for Kansas City. Winning is not everything for Detroit. That's not it, no more. That's not the standard. We need to go deep in the playoffs or else we stink. That's it.
Speaker 1:You know something I agree with you. I've been talking about how Harbaugh's lost that locker room. You can tell his whole expression Harbaugh's lost that locker room. You can tell his whole expression Harbaugh's lost that locker room. So, yeah, yeah, Harbaugh will probably be out of there. Even if he goes and wins the Super Bowl, he's going to be out of there. They're going to be like hey, we need to change. Huh, why, why? Because Harbaugh. Okay, Harbaugh is one of those guys that's setting his ways. If you look back on when Ray Lewis was on that team, that was Ray's team. That was Ray's team as soon as Ray left. Now, this is my team. You understand what I'm saying. It's going to be done my way. Well, how's that worked out for him since 2012? How's it worked out for him? It hasn't worked out too much, has it?
Speaker 2:He's had a couple of AFC championship appearances. I'll tell you that.
Speaker 1:That's fine, but how many Super Bowls have we had since 2012? The whole thing is win championships, right. Winning is not everything. Right, it's win championships. It's how much hardware you have. Right, baltimore Colts left here with four of them to go to Indianapolis, but that's always ingrained in history that they won four of them, right we?
Speaker 1:only have two. With the franchise of Baltimore Ravens, only two. We can say Baltimore's great, this Baltimore's a great season team, but when we get to the playoffs we fizzle out, fizzle Okay, right, we fizzle out, okay. It's how much hardware you have. Look at your Cowboys fans always saying, always throwing in your face, we got five, we got five. And they ain't been relevant since I don't know the 90s. Thank you.
Speaker 2:The 90s. I was born, yet I was born, yet I was born, yet I was born, yet I was born, yet I was born, yet I was born yet I was born yet I was born yet I was born yet.
Speaker 1:Right, I was born yet. Okay, I was still swimming. Yeah, six and eight. This is what they talk about. But we have this, but we have this, but we have this. Everybody talks about the past. That's the past. Okay, that's right. What have you done for us lately? Steelers haven't won a Super Bowl since, I think, 08? Yep, I believe it was 08. So what have you done for us now? Don't matter what you did in the past, that's the past. What have you done for us now? Nothing, and I can even say we haven't done anything yet, even though we got up there and we bossed in that AFC championship game. But I think the tables are turning. Okay, I think the tables are turning. So in turning.
Speaker 1:Let's go to the Raiders. First, Business decisions. Business decisions. Sure, If they wouldn't have beat Cleveland. I would have had a problem, but business decisions. And now we got Devontae asking for a trade. Yeah, I went out of Vegas, which isn't good, but why do you want out of Vegas? And again, if anybody looks at Antonio Pierce, I keep telling him the guy looks like he'll take you behind the woodshed and wear you out.
Speaker 1:I think he has an expectation over there If you don't perform, you're out of here, plain and simple. You don't play, you're gone. I don't want that around here. And he's holding his guys to a standard Maybe that's a standard that Devontae was like eh, I'm hurt, but it doesn't look like you're going to be playing with me. So yeah, let me get a trade, let me get out of here. I don't know, I'm just speculating. I'm just speculating. But Antonio Pierce is like no, I'm not playing, this is a business and I'm making business decisions. But them barely beating Cleveland was a problem. I mean, cleveland looks horrible, they do. But I'm going to let you touch on your boy, watson. You know that's your boy. No, no, no, can't throw the ball 30 yards.
Speaker 2:I'm not having a discussion about you, no more, get out of here. Anyways, anyways, oh, and, by the way, if anybody wants to keep track, deshaun Watson's arm right now is stinky.
Speaker 1:You didn't think I was bringing that shit back, didn't you?
Speaker 2:Yeah, okay, that's all I got to say about Deshaun Watson. Now, as far as Devontae is concerned, I think and we talked about this before we hopped on it's tricky, because, as much as I would love to be that guy to say, yo, free Devontae Adams, he needs to go to a better situation I'm also the guy that will say hey, you wanted all this money. You know that there's teams that's desperate enough to go after you, right, and they're not contending teams. They're shitty as fuck and they're willing to go after you, right, and they're not contending teams. They're shitty as fuck and they're willing to pay for you. So, if you want the bag, if you want the bag, okay, that's fine, I'm not going to knock you. Shit's a lot better than my bank account these days. If that's what you want, then shit, go for it. But also understand what comes with it. You're going to have that money, but you're not going to be doing shit for the next five years or four years or however long your contract's going to be. It's just not going to happen.
Speaker 2:But if you want to take that little slight pay cut maybe $5 million less or whatever contract was at the time to be on a contending team, I would say, go for it. It all depends on what you want to do. What do you want your legacy to be? And if your legacy is consistent on getting the bag, then hey, go for it. Just understand you cannot have both sides. I'm sorry, and I'm telling you right now, if I'm Devontae Adams, I would love to be in Green Bay. I'm not even lying. I mean, if I'm being honest right now, if I'm Devontae Adams, boy, do I miss Green Bay? Even with them not having Aaron Rodgers, I would love to be in Green Bay right now.
Speaker 1:I would love to be in Green Bay right now.
Speaker 2:I would love to be there, because at least shoot, say what you want about how the Packers played this past Sunday. At least you know there will be some passes thrown to Devontae Adams as well.
Speaker 1:You don't have to think about that at all. I mean, look what happened when he played us he killed us, killed us, he killed us.
Speaker 2:That's what happens when you throw the ball to him, but that's the thing. We don't have competency at quarterback. What do you expect? So I mean everybody's thinking about teams that he would go for now I'm seeing chatter about Baltimore. I'm seeing chatter about Pittsburgh. I'm seeing chatter about, you know, baltimore. I'm seeing chatter about Pittsburgh. I'm seeing all this chatter.
Speaker 1:I saw Pittsburgh Jets and I think the Rams. I think they needed three outs.
Speaker 2:Now, if I can see Devontae Adams as a Ram or as a Raven, oh, I think all. I think all is forgiven. I think all is forgiven because he'll be a part of winning football, seriously, even with the Rams being 1-3. Even with the Rams being 1-3 right now, if they have Devontae Adams and Matthew Stafford, along with Cooper Cupp, coming back, boy, I'm telling you, seriously, look at this. The Ravens can trade Andrews for him.
Speaker 1:Along with Cooper Cup coming back. Boy, I'm telling you seriously, look at this.
Speaker 2:The Ravens can trade Andrews for him. The only thing I would say about that is that they already have a tight end that they're using a lot. I don't think that's changing and it shouldn't change with Andrews and Bowers at tight end. I don't think that's happening, but I don't know. I don't know that's happening, but I don't know. I don't know. Devontae, what do you really want? Do you want to be a part of a winning team or do you want money?
Speaker 1:That's it. Here's the thing. If he wants money, Baltimore's ain't going to pay. Baltimore's not known for paying receivers. That puts us out of contention, right there Now. If it's a trade, it's like that puts us out of contention, right there Now. If it's a trade, it's like okay, we'll give you this and we'll give you this pick and this pick. Maybe that'll work. Yeah, but money, Mm-mm, Mm-mm. Baltimore will get you there. They make deals Like look, we're trying to save as much cap pace as possible. They make deals. We don't just, we're trying to save as much cap pace as possible. They make deals. We don't just pay a lot of money for them. And then when they do dish out that money, they be like oh, I hope we didn't make a mistake.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:So I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 1:I don't know, what do you want? Devontae, seriously, what do you want? And that's the whole thing. What do you want? I don't know. I don't know, but I'll tell you what. It's going to be interesting to see where it goes If he goes to the Steelers.
Speaker 1:If he goes to the Steelers remember, we was just talking about this before we came on Now they have another receiver that they can rely on other than Pickens. Right, absolutely. Now you got Devontae. Now the issue is who's going to be the quarterback? Because wait a minute, tish, are you still in here? Because we got a question for you, because I've been hearing this chatter. Now they want to bench Justin Fields.
Speaker 1:So now we on Pittsburgh and credit to you know, okay, that's your first loss and that's fine, but it's not like y'all laid down for that loss that came down to two mistakes, two mistakes that ended that game for the Steelers. Two the snap right, and that bogus personal foul call Bogus. I'll be the first to say that was bogus. Personal foul call Bogus. I'll be the first to say that was bogus because he was trying to lay off the guy. He just ran it to the receiver and they called a personal foul on the guy.
Speaker 1:Other than that, how could the Steelers have played that game even more they did? Now, the only thing I saw that concerned me was that wasn't the normal defense that it normally was, because they was running through the defense before Anthony Richardson got hurt. They was running through that defense. I was like, wait a minute, and that's why I was calling you. I was like, do you see this? They're running through the defense and then y'all biggest Achilles heel comes in the game and beat y'all Joe Flacco. Joe Flacco beat the Steelers, joe Flacco, who really can't move as well as he is. But Joe Flacco came in the game and beat the Steelers. I'm like, are you serious? And don't get me wrong, the Steelers was marching back there but, like I said, that snap killed him. That snap when he wasn't ready for it, that killed him.
Speaker 2:That's right, because.
Speaker 1:I don't think if it was for that bot snap, they might have went down and tied that game up Because they had the momentum going their way. That's right. But now y'all want to bench Fields. It is, I'm just. That's just the chat. I heard that they want to bench him. But why would you want to bench him? The guy's been doing pretty good for what he has, right For what he has. He's been doing great, you know, and he's making sound decisions. It's not like he's oh, I'm being prescient, let me throw it this way he's making sound decisions. Hey, let me get out of it. Let me get out of Dodge. Let me do this. I have to give it to him. The Steelers played a great game. They. Let me do this. I have to give it to them. The Steelers played a great game. They did. They played a great game. It's just it came down to that bad snap. That's the end of the game, the bad snap.
Speaker 2:I'll just say this For anybody that wants Justin Fields to not start for the Steelers no more more. Do you know if there's a lot of quarterbacks that can combine for, uh, 367 yards on the day? Do you know a lot of quarterbacks that can do that? Hey, I'll answer it for you not many. So I mean the idea of we need to just, oh, this is not going to work. You know we need to give up.
Speaker 2:And my thing is this is the thing with any hiring or firing or benching or whatever. That's cool, that that's what you want to have the pitch for it for, but who are you having him sit down for? Russ?
Speaker 1:Russ, you know he's going to be extremely tough. Here we go Hell. No, we need him.
Speaker 2:Okay, thank you. Again, like what are we talking about right now? What are we talking about right now? The real person that we need to consider benching or not is Najee Harris. He had 13 carries for 19 yards on Sunday. What the fuck is going on? That is not an offensive line issue, by the way, because, like I just said.
Speaker 2:Justin Fields was still managing to have 367 total yards. So, najee Harris, where are you at? Where are you at? You're supposed to be one of the best running backs in the league, or at least in the second tier.
Speaker 1:I don't see it. His attempts was almost as yardage.
Speaker 2:You average 1.5 yards per carry. What is this? What is this?
Speaker 1:Seriously, that's not a winning formula.
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 1:That's not a winning formula.
Speaker 2:So I'm not looking at. Justin Fields. Today I'm looking at Najee Harris. What is this Right?
Speaker 1:Seriously and, like you said, it's not a line issue, because if it was a line issue, justin wouldn't have 300 plus yards. It's not a line issue. That's an issue like okay, flacco is wacko, but Flacco beat y'all.
Speaker 2:He was for somebody. That was wacko. He went 16, he had 16 completions. I'll tell you that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and I don't think if Flacco would have came in the game I think with Richardson still being in that game, because they was mixing it up so much, that score would have been a lot higher for the Colts. I really believe it, yeah.
Speaker 1:Three points and nothing, yeah. But like I said, what hurt y'all was the whole thing with the bad snap. Yeah, the bad snap is what hurt you and that didn't happen, not once. But it happened in another game with a bad snap, two games in the NFL with a bad snap, two games in the NFL with a bad snap, and it's just the Steelers couldn't recover from it. But, all in all, what I was more concerned about was your defense, because that wasn't the normal defense that we would see, that you can run on them. And they were running right at you, not to the side, but they was running up the middle. I was like, wait a minute. I said they're running this ball up the middle. When does that ever happen against the steelers? It doesn't. Let me tell you what else they did. They neutralized the disruptor, so I did. They neutralized t did. They neutralized TJ Watt. They neutralized him. He could not really be a disruptor Because, let's say, tj Watt was being a disruptor. Steelers would have won that game. Steelers would have won that game.
Speaker 2:You can make that argument, yeah.
Speaker 1:Yes, steelers would have won that game, plain and simple. But they neutralized him. They said he's not going to beat us, someone else is, he's not going to beat us. It's just like when Detroit would pay Chicago back in the day. What did they say? Jordan's not going to beat us, someone else is. And they punished Jordan through those games and they took TJ out the game, say he's not going to the game, he's not going to beat us, he's not going to beat us. And it showed, when you take the disrupt out, they try to make you rely on other pieces. But hey, I got to talk about our boy though. I mean, how many tackles does the PQ have? I'm just asking, I'm just asking.
Speaker 2:I'm just asking, I'm just asking, I'm just asking oh, no, no, no, you're right, everybody does have a bad day. Seven tackles for for queen, oops, you said don't do that. Yeah, he has seven tackles in the TFL, okay All right, that's cool.
Speaker 1:Here's the reason I'm asking, because if you paid that guy that money, he needs to show up Plain and simple. He needs to show up. He needs to show up. If you paid someone some money, they just need to show up. I'm just saying, thinking about those Eagles again. Oh Lord, listen, the Eagles. I guess if they get a change down there, they're going to be fine, sir Yanni.
Speaker 2:That's a big-ass F. That's a big-ass F.
Speaker 1:Hey, I got it. Everybody's striking around here these days. The ports up here just went on strike right Bowen's striking whatever. Maybe they need to strike up in Philly too. I'm just saying Get them out of here.
Speaker 2:That's not a bad idea. Everybody signed a petition we want.
Speaker 1:Sujani out yeah absolutely, we'll solve that. We will solve that. But, like I said, steelers, look, listen, y'all still on top of the division. Notice my answer. But y'all still on top of the division. But this whole thing of benching fields, this whole thing of benching fields, totally against it, totally against it. Y'all going to put that used Durango in the game? Russell Wilson, yeah, okay, he ain't going to do no better. Y'all going to put that used Durango in the game, Russell Wilson, yeah, okay, he ain't going to do no better. Y'all. Best option is to keep Fields, is to keep Fields. That's my two cent with that. Now Buffalo, any Buffalo fan in here? Any Buffalo fan in here? I'm just asking. I've been saving this one. I've been saving this one because how is one player on the Ravens bigger than any defender on the defense of Buffalo?
Speaker 1:One player, and all I'm going to say is Derrick Henry. Josh what happened when Derrick Henry ran that first play. He ran past everybody. He was bigger than the whole defense. Yeah, yeah, they say. Next-gen stats had him going at 21 miles per hour going to the end zone. He's 6'4". What 250?
Speaker 2:Running that fast. Yeah, 6'4", 240, yep.
Speaker 1:That's scary.
Speaker 2:Yeah, who's stopping?
Speaker 1:that shit. Who's stopping that shit? Who's stopping any of that? No, no, I think someone said I got to find that comment again, but this is what they said. They said one of the defenders yelled to Henry, you won't be stiff-arming me and wouldn't go tackle.
Speaker 2:They had the angle too. They had the angle too, and it wasn't enough.
Speaker 1:I don't blame them though.
Speaker 2:You ain't about to make me out, right?
Speaker 1:Business decision. They're still showing that. Dallas one when he pushed down Carson. They still showing that, absolutely, derrick Henry makes you famous. He does, he makes you famous If he's coming at you. He makes you famous, absolutely, absolutely. But if you look, derrick Henry was running through the defense again. Wait a minute. If you blink again, derrick Henry was running through the defense again. Wait a minute. Blink again. Derrick Henry ran through the defense again, ridiculous. Wait a minute. You blink again, he'll start pulling it on, that's right. Wait a minute. You blink again. Derrick Henry just scored a passing touchdown. Did you blink? Oh, hill just scored a passing touchdown. Wait, wait, wait. Did you blink again? Oh, the Ravens players are wide open all over the field. Hey, blink one more time. Oh, the defense is wearing them out. That's right, that's the Ravens that we needed.
Speaker 1:And when we came out in the second half, I started getting worried. I said when we sat there and did not make that play after the half, I was like, oh, here we go, here we go, here we go, this game. They about to turn this game around. And then the defense said no, we got this, we got this Absolutely. And they wore them out. But what hurt Buffalo the most was that trick play, that trick play, that trick play. And Kyle Van Nooy, somebody that's in his upper 30s, who they say he's past his prime, saying no, he's got it.
Speaker 2:He sure has still passed his prime, the fact that he's doing what he's doing it's impeccable.
Speaker 1:I'll say that I see you on Instagram, rudy. Yeah, it said it sounds like the folks weren't paying attention. They wasn't. He's doing what he's doing. It's impeccable. I'll say that I see you on Instagram, rudy. Yeah, it said it sounds like the folks weren't paying attention. They wasn't. They wasn't paying attention. If you look, derrick Henry had 199 yards, 209 total yards. That's right. Who's going to stop that?
Speaker 1:I'm just saying Derrick Henry ran for 151 on the Cowboys, 199 on Buffalo. Buffalo ain't no slack team. Look what they did for the first three weeks 30 and 40 points on teams. Buffalo is not a slack team. You can't say that they're the Panthers, you can't. You can't say that they're the Panthers, you can't. You can't say that at all. They're not the Panthers. This is Buffalo, who has always been an AFC contender. Right, they've gone head-to-head with Kansas City many a times. You can't say we beat up on a slack team, we didn't. And then the motor words of Nate Burleson. What did he say? Pick on someone your own size. We were the bullies and we punched the bullies in the mouth and sent them home.
Speaker 1:Sent them home Packing, packing. But who ain't worried now in the NFL about this? Because again you got Henry Lamar Hill? Oh, wait a minute. Let me say this name is coming back Keane Mitchell.
Speaker 2:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1:Yep, mm. Oh, defense off of Millette Coming back. Yeah, they're getting better. They're getting better Each game. They're improving. We got something for you. I'm done gloating. I turned it over.
Speaker 2:No, I mean it was just. Two things can be right at the same time. I mean Baltimore is very dominant. Buffalo is still a good team. I mean I don't think of Buffalo any less. I mean it's just that Baltimore is starting to hit its stride right now, and there's no ifs ands or buts about it. I'm just very incredibly proud of how Baltimore is, just being literal.
Speaker 2:I think that's the best way to say it Like they are being very literal. They're just like oh, we do have Derrick Henry, maybe we should use him, right? Okay, let's not only use him, but let's use them often. I don't think anybody's going to come after me and it's worked, it's actually really going to duplicate me, you know. So I mean, I just I think it's very impressive on what they're doing as far as their play calling is concerned, because Lamar's only thrown the ball 18 times, which I think any time that you can have that happen is easily a recipe for success, you know, but just the simple fact that he's able to get out the way for Derrick Henry to do his thing, I think that's something that I think everybody needs to give Lamar a lot more credit for, because there was so many instances in that game where you know he wanted to take off and run, but he was just like let me just sit back, let me just relax, let me just find somebody open, and if I don't find anybody, I'll just, I'll just throw it away.
Speaker 2:He's becoming a lot more smart, uh, with his, with his instincts, which is something that it was a knock on Lamar for the longest time, and he's starting to really piece that up together now and again. I mean Buffalo still a good team.
Speaker 1:I'm sorry. Yeah, great team, great team.
Speaker 2:I look at it. They just went up against a team that just punched them in the mouth and punched them often. That's it. I mean, there's only so much you can do after that, no, what can you do?
Speaker 1:I mean, look at the size of the Ravens compared to the size of Buffalo. Right, the Ravens were massive. Okay, you got 600-something pounds coming at you because you got McCurry and then Henry and that's coming at you. What are you going to do? Shit, not much, oh, not to mention. You got Likely. You got Andrews right, those are two big boys also right. Okay, when you get to the receivers, you got Bateman. You got Aguilar Zay's, your smallest person, man that's the one thing.
Speaker 2:I will say about Baltimore, if they're going to go after.
Speaker 2:Devontae they're going to have some size. I mean, that's the one thing I will say. Their receivers look kind of small. They look kind of small and in games like Sunday it's not going to mean much. But when you're going against defenses, that are going to mean much. But when you're going against defenses that are going to be just as physical off the scrimmage, that would be something I would keep an eye on. Their schemings they open their scheming, these guys open. It's almost like it don't even matter.
Speaker 1:He was wide open. Matter of fact, anybody Lamar threw it to was wide open, including Andrews, who dropped the ball.
Speaker 2:Ridiculous.
Speaker 1:Including Andrews, who dropped the ball. Oh man, here's the thing. The Ravens have found their stride and we're going up to Cincy and all the Cincy people you know, these are the ones in the war room that I go at all the time oh, we gonna load the box and we gonna make Lamar beat us.
Speaker 2:No, not smart, not smart at all.
Speaker 1:Let's see how that works out for you, sundy, let's see how that works out for you Sunday, let's see how that works out for you. And you know me and Gina and Gina McGirl, and she was like, oh my god, derrick Henry ran 200 yards on Buffalo and she said and we up next? And I said may the best team win. She said here you go. I said I wasn't even talking trash yet I wasn't even talking trash yet I wasn't even talking trash yet I wasn't even talking trash yet I wasn't even talking trash yet. Because, again, it's any given Sunday. Yes, it's any given Sunday, it is. So it is what it is. It is what it is. But Ravens Nation stood up. We didn't blow a second half lead. Well, fourth quarter lead, how about that?
Speaker 2:We didn't blow that.
Speaker 1:Defense got it together. I think Zach Orr has figured out okay, this is the way I need to play. This is the way I need to play. Everything's coming together and they're picking up steam going down the season. Remember, we got Cincy and then we got the visiting home team next.
Speaker 1:I'm telling you right now they ain't the visiting home team no more as a matter of fact, let me come down to 95 and just get to them right now, where my Washington fans at. If any of them in here Props to you all when they at at if any of them in here.
Speaker 2:Props to you all.
Speaker 1:Where they at. Oh my God, props to you all. Wow, what's his name? Jalen Daniels Jalen.
Speaker 2:Daniels.
Speaker 1:Jalen.
Speaker 2:Daniels, jalen Daniels.
Speaker 1:I want to make sure I get his name correct. You have to get props. Well, props is due, props is due. You know who this is reminding me of? Think of him from last season CJ Stroud.
Speaker 2:CJ Stroud.
Speaker 1:CJ Stroud, reminding you that from last year he's doing stuff that no one expected and they are scheming him the way he can learn it, and it's great. I and they are scheming him the way he can learn it, and it's great, I love it. I love it, you know. But you know all the Dallas fans. They don't like to hear this. Washington is on top of the division. When's the last time that happened? Hey, shit, I'm just asking, if anyone knows, put it in the comments. When's the last time Washington has been on top of the division? How many years? It's been a while, because it's either been Philly or the Cowboys, it's been one of y'all two. We ain't worried about the Giants. They ain't been away in a long time, but it's either been the Philly or the Cowboys has been on top of the division. When have you ever heard after four games Washington was on top of the division? Anybody, anybody. I'll wait. I'll wait now.
Speaker 1:Listen, I didn't expect them to go to Arizona and beat Calamari. I didn't, but they did. I didn't expect them to go to Arizona and beat Calamari I didn't, but they did. I didn't expect them to go to Cincy and beat the Bengals. I was the first one. I'm like okay, they're making me a believer, they're making me a believer and for everything they're doing. They said we're just doing this at the college level for them, we're just giving them college level plays and he's beating an NFL team with college level plays.
Speaker 2:Hey look, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Speaker 1:Seriously, Seriously I mean, and I'm not saying the teams he beat has been some slobbers. They haven't. They just got issues on defense. Yeah, they got issues on defense. They do, they got issues on defense, but I want to see what happens when they play us. Okay, that's going to be the test Because, again, you know how physical Baltimore is. We're physical, very physical, they're very physical. So I want to see when Washington plays the Ravens, and they're very physical. So I want to see when washington plays the ravens and they're coming to baltimore.
Speaker 2:So I'm looking forward to that I'm just more so impressed with how they're putting up these points. Last week it was 38. This past sund Sunday was 42.
Speaker 1:Right Again. When has Washington ever done that?
Speaker 2:It's not often okay, and I think what's very impressive out of all this and this is what drives me nuts In a span of two weeks, jaden Daniels has had a total of six incompletions. I'm going to say it again One interception, one One.
Speaker 1:I'm going to say it again.
Speaker 2:One. I'm going to say it again Two weeks, 120 minutes worth of football. An NFL quarterback who is also a rookie in a rebuilding team on a rebuilding team has only thrown six incompletions. Seriously, what is this? People don't even do this shit in Madden and that's a virtual video game. This is real life against grown men and he's just torturing them. And, by the way, I think what's even more impressive about the commanders so far, they're running the fuck out of that football.
Speaker 2:Yes, they are 216 total yards rushing. Yes, they are 216 total yards rushing. Brian Robinson has 101 yards on 21 carries. Seriously, this is like they're beating you up running the football and Jaden Daniels is, being accurate, throwing the football. Like seriously, what more could you ask? I mean, if you want to say that hey know their defense is still struggling, hell, I mean sure, but does it really matter if the offense is putting up the points they're putting up?
Speaker 1:oh my shit it doesn't mean anything doesn't mean anything.
Speaker 2:So I mean, it's like I'm just very impressed with how they are dominating the run game. Jaden Daniels is being incredibly accurate. I mean, if it wasn't for the interception, he would have had three incompletions.
Speaker 1:I mean this guy's incredible, this guy's incredible. But let me tell you what else I noticed. He's not a big guy. No, he's not a big guy at no, he's not a big guy at all. He's not really a big guy. I'm looking at him like man. If he gets nailed one good time, it might be over for him. But he's not a big guy and he's making smart, smart decisions.
Speaker 2:Yes, and are you ready for this too?
Speaker 1:Washington congratulations. Y'all got a jewel in a gem there. This too, Washington congratulations, Y'all got a jewel in a gym there.
Speaker 2:Go ahead. I just want to add this too Usually, when all these attempts are happening, or they're putting a lot of points on the board, the offensive line is a little shaky, giving up sacks especially. You expect that out of Washington. You know how many sacks they're giving up.
Speaker 1:None, not one Zero. Not one Zero.
Speaker 2:And that is what's catching me off guard. I thought the offensive line was going to be shitty, just like it was the past five years or however long it's been. They are pushing people around. They're protecting the shit out of Jaden. It's like hey, he got time to just throw any pass that he wants to, because he has the time to do it. He ain't getting rough, or shit.
Speaker 1:Hey, guess what? He got time to go to the sideline, take a selfie still, look down the field, sign an autograph, come back. All right, now I can throw it. That's how much time he has. He hasn't really been pressured.
Speaker 2:So kudos to the O-line, because they are moving up and down the field at an alarming rate and they're protecting them very well. Yes, they are. I mean it's are. It's impressive, it's impressive to see Yep.
Speaker 1:So Washington, kudos to you. Y'all got much props, Y'all 3-1 sitting on top of the division. So I know Sunday, when I have to work that game, I know they're going to be off the chain up there.
Speaker 2:It's going to be loud, it's going to be loud.
Speaker 1:They're going to be off the chain on there. It's going to be loud. It's going to be loud. They're going to be off the chain on Sunday. Off the chain, and they got three home games this month.
Speaker 2:Oh Lord.
Speaker 1:Yep, absolutely. So we're going to jump from them. Hey Detroit, hey Detroit. Hey Detroit, detroit, detroit, detroit. Hey Detroit, Detroit, detroit. What more can I say? Oh, I'm sorry, let me say a name David Montgomery.
Speaker 2:Shoot. I got a name for you Jared Goff. Okay, anytime a professional NFL quarterback goes 18 for 18 against grown men, I don't care who you're going against.
Speaker 1:This ain't Madden. This is not Madden, that's incredible.
Speaker 2:That's incredible. Like he's thrown a touchdown. He caught a touchdown. I'm like yo. What is going on?
Speaker 1:18 for 18 but when he caught that touchdown though it just looks so funny because it looked like he was running in slow motion okay because he was, and he was running at full speed it looked like he was running in slow motion. I was like, oh my God, Look at this. And the defender couldn't do anything about it. He looked like he was just running in slow motion and caught a touchdown pass.
Speaker 2:Ridiculous.
Speaker 1:Jared Goff Ridiculous. I don't know.
Speaker 2:Jared Goff. Jared Goff, you go 18 for 18. I don't have shit else to say. That's it, that's it. That's the entire game. Jared Goff, 18 for 18. That's it. That's all you need to know. That's all you need to know.
Speaker 1:And I mean to the point of putting up 42 points. 42 points Down goes another undefeated team Seattle's undefeated, no more.
Speaker 2:That's right.
Speaker 1:And they kept saying and I love how they talk about well, who is the Seahawks really played? They really haven't really played anybody. And I said I like Detroit in this matter and I picked them. I said I like Detroit in this matter and I picked them. I said there's something special going on in Detroit that no one sees coming and it's been brewing now for what? Two to three years. Two to three years, it's just a matter of time before they get over that hump. It's a matter of time.
Speaker 2:And, in fairness, the way the rest of that conference is looking. They may get over that hump this year. I'm not joking, I'm not joking. I'm not joking. They may end up getting over that hump and getting to the Super Bowl this year. It's not a hyperbole, it's not revisionist history. This is not me being biased at the moment. They could very well get to New Orleans in February.
Speaker 1:They could, they could that city would go crazy, crazy. They've never tasted it. That's right For them to get there and let's say they win it. Detroit will be on fire.
Speaker 2:Oh, my God.
Speaker 1:Detroit's going to be. They're going to close the board out there. They're going to close the board out there.
Speaker 2:That's the fastest. You know. If they end up winning it, that would be the fastest rebuild that we've ever seen. Do you remember just three years ago they were going 0-8 and wasn't winning shit and they finished the year going six of their last seven and pushing the fucking Packers out of the fucking playoffs. I remember that shit. They weren't winning games not too long ago.
Speaker 1:They'll be contenders for the next four years and that, if they don't make it, they're meatloaf.
Speaker 2:I don't know man.
Speaker 1:Listen, detroit man. Okay, the last, what five years? The NFCs belong to? What the 49ers?
Speaker 2:Absolutely.
Speaker 1:They belong to the 49ers. The last, absolutely they belong to the 49ers. The last five years have belonged to the 49ers, and the 49ers have a way of just waxing you up. Now. I did see a report today with CMC. He has, I think, tendinitis in both knees, on his Achilles or something like that, so I don't think he's going to be back for a while.
Speaker 2:Not good. Which is?
Speaker 1:bad. That's not good. They was just talking about that. So again, the NFC has belonged to the 49ers, but if anybody can take that over, it's Detroit. It is Detroit. Seriously, I think Detroit is the team to beat in the NFC right now. I don't knock you for it.
Speaker 2:I don't knock you for it, don't give me one. Unless there's another team in their division that's 4-0 and is putting up some points themselves and causing a lot of damage. Just saying I'm talking about the fucking.
Speaker 1:Vikings, minnesota, minnesota, seriously those.
Speaker 2:Vikings they're starting to prove themselves, man Seriously.
Speaker 1:They are, they are. But hey, like I said, and we both said this, when week eight gets here, that's when we're going to start to see what's shaping up to be what. Absolutely, week eight and four weeks we'll find out what's going to be shaped out. Because, again, that's when you know, okay, who's battle tested and who's pretty much just been lying around Like, okay, we're just going to wait until next season. Hey, we're here for the long haul. Because after week eight, they start saying, okay, if the playoffs start today, this will be the seeding, this will be the seeding. But I'm going to jump on the 49ers here for a second.
Speaker 2:Oh, you want to talk about that game.
Speaker 1:Oh what? Just for a quick second? Sure, because it really wasn't a game, just for a quick second. Now I will say this Did they win? Yeah, they beat them decisively. No, it's not as no bucks. But where's all this IU talk at? I'm just asking Y'all paid them all that money. I'm just asking. I'm just asking Y'all paid him all that money. I'm just asking. I'm just asking.
Speaker 1:Ty I couldn't think of it. Last time, ty was like oh, we need IU, we need this, we need that. Okay, what has IU been doing since your other pieces have been gone? Wow, other people have stepped up, yep, but y'all paid him all that money, remember? Didn't we just talk about this gone? Other people have stepped up, but y'all paid him all that money, remember, didn't we just talk about this with Devontae? Do I want the bag or do I want a legacy? Do I want a bag or do I want a legacy?
Speaker 2:In IU's case he has both. But I'm sorry man.
Speaker 1:Two receptions for 48 yards against the New England Patriots Seriously this is like I'm just asking, I'm just asking. I'm just asking how about? I'm asking for a friend? No, no, y'all paid him this money. Exactly Where's he at? Okay, y'all got the win, I'm not knocking that, y'all got the win, but where's his performance? That y'all paid this money, right? So when y'all get to the dogfight of y'all life with a team I mean a dogfight is he going to come in to play when it's going to come down to who has the ball last? Are you going to be able to depend on him? I don't know.
Speaker 2:He's not showing his ass in a blowout, so I mean I don't know. I don't know, right Right Now I'm.
Speaker 1:I don't know, I don't know, right, right Now, I'm going to fast-track past that and let's go talk to our lovely Chiefs. Man Chargers, I'm disappointed in you. Y'all started out 10-0. 10-0. 10-0. That D0. 10-0. That dreaded 10. That dreaded 10. Y'all had the Chiefs down 10-0.
Speaker 2:That dreaded 10. That 10 don't mean shit. That don't mean shit. I can't stop.
Speaker 1:You had Mahomes throw an interception. Nope, Not enough, Not enough. They get. What was it? Rice Got hurt. Gone for the season.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Proto Proto injury.
Speaker 1:Y'all had the chance to take the Chiefs to the woodshed, absolutely. And what happened? Y'all got Mahomes'd, y'all got Mahomes'd, yep, that's right. And I kept sitting there Like, okay, chargers, come on, run the ball, run the ball at them, run it down their throat. Jk or Gus couldn't do anything.
Speaker 2:That's right.
Speaker 1:Nothing. I'm like what are y'all doing, herbert? Y'all got to do something. Anything, nope, keep the pressure on them, that's right and they lost the game 17-10. They could not keep the pressure on their neck. No, the run game wasn't working. The pass game wasn't working, nothing. The Chiefs just found a way to win this can't be a surprise.
Speaker 2:This cannot be a surprise, it's not it's be a surprise.
Speaker 1:This cannot be a surprise. It's not. It's not. It's not a surprise, it's the fact that they had him. They had him. No, they didn't.
Speaker 2:No, they didn't, no, they didn't.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you're right they didn't.
Speaker 2:Anytime a team is up by 10 points and you're playing Kansas City. That is never enough. I keep telling y'all every time you think you haven't did the right stuff. Because you're up by 10 does not mean that you win the game.
Speaker 1:Hey, but this score looks familiar.
Speaker 2:What does it look like?
Speaker 1:It doesn't remind me of the AFC Championship game. It's the exact same dang on score.
Speaker 2:I mean, that's my point. You can be up 10 if you want to. It don't mean shit. It don't you forget who you're playing against. All they need is two drives where they get some points on the board and some wackiness to come into play. The next thing, you know, they're the ones that's winning the game and you're not Having a 10-point lead against Kansas City. Don't mean shit.
Speaker 1:I keep telling y'all y'all don't want to believe me. Y'all don't want to listen to me that's fine.
Speaker 2:Y'all go ahead and keep thinking y'all have a 10-point lead, that means y'all win this game. Go ahead if it's been happening for the last five years. It's been happening for the last five years, really the last two, but really the last five years. Just because you have a lead Don't mean to say it.
Speaker 1:I am tired. I am tired. Hey, we've been saying this they're New England 10.0. That's what it is. They're New England 10.0. That's what it is. They're New England 10.0. And someone needs to punch them in the mouth. That's right, someone does, and I think the way we look at now, we can. I honestly believe we're going to see each other again this season. I honestly believe we're going to see each other again this season.
Speaker 2:I honestly believe we will Okay.
Speaker 1:But we'll see. Okay, We'll see. Hey, I'll tell you who we ain't going to talk about today. We ain't talking about the Jets and the Broncos because you know, I like when Aaron Rodgers get beat. That's such a shame. I'm not even talking about the Cowboys and the Giants.
Speaker 2:No, and look, the Cowboys were begging for the Giants to score. The Giants were just incompetent enough to score a touchdown that was it?
Speaker 1:That's all that game was about. Who else I ain't talking about, because I kind of figured this was going to be a blowout Tennessee and the Dolphins. That game was hard to watch at the beginning. Okay, that's what I'm saying. That was a hard game to watch. That was a hard game to watch.
Speaker 2:You cannot watch that game, Even if you're obligated to. You can't do it.
Speaker 1:Even though the Bengals beat the Panthers? I ain't talking about that either. No, no, I'm not talking. Do it? Even though the Bengals beat the Panthers? I ain't talking about that either. No, no, I'm not talking about it, but we are recapping it. Not worth it, Not worth it at all. I will say I have to give to this one the shock for me. The shock for me was the Falcons beating the Saints. That was a shock.
Speaker 2:If you want to call it that. I think the Saints beat themselves. I mean seriously, I mean it was like yo, what is going on offensively? The defense did their job. They did what they were supposed to do.
Speaker 1:I mean they held up their end of the bargain all things considered. I mean.
Speaker 2:Kyle Pitts and I'm saying that because he's on my fantasy team had zero targets and zero catches and zero yards, so he completely removed him. B John didn't really do much I mean. I don't know, saints kind of gave that game away.
Speaker 1:Derek Carr was doing Derek Carr things. Yes, yes, we'll leave it at that. Now let me see One of your undefeated teams Bikes beat the Packers with Jordan Love back.
Speaker 2:That's right With.
Speaker 1:Jordan Love back.
Speaker 2:The final score does not tell the full story. No, it was a blowout before halftime. Yeah, it was. I mean the Packers fought back. I mean, you know I will say it got very tight late, but that game was all Minnesota from start to finish. It was ridiculous.
Speaker 1:But I'm going to give this one to you, last one.
Speaker 2:Texas and Jags.
Speaker 1:Go ahead with your boy, nico. Go ahead, I'm going to give that one to you, Nico Collins is a bad man.
Speaker 2:He's a bad man boy. Look, I'm trying not to put too much stock into it because I should be used to this by now.
Speaker 2:I should be used to the way the Texans are playing, because they did it last year, they've been doing it again this year A 3-1,. I should be used to this by now. But I mean, boy, oh boy, just when you Watching that game I'm watching Jacksonville. I'm like, okay, this is the Jacksonville Jaguars that everybody thought that they were going to see for the whole season. Okay, a lot of talent, a lot of points being put up on the board, converted third downs, all over the place. Okay, this is the Jacksonville Jaguars. It looks like it's going to get a win.
Speaker 2:Then they had a lead. Then I guess they forgot how to utilize themselves when they have the lead and they just said you know what I mean? We're gonna not score again, but it's only like what a minute some change left. Texas is not gonna go march down the field on us. We got this. And then CJ Stroud happened. And then CJ Stroud and Nico Collins happened. And next thing, you know, you look up, they're at the red zone. And when CJ Stroud threw that touchdown, it was like well, this is what separates between y'all and us and the Texans. Yes, this is it. This is it. Like that's all I needed to see. It was just like wow, really, really. I mean, it was fantastic to watch and CJ Stroud played well, it was fantastic, it was fantastic, it was fantastic. Nico Collins is fucking. He's got to be in that conversation. He's got to be in that conversation for one of the best in the league.
Speaker 1:I wouldn't say he's in the top.
Speaker 2:I wouldn't say he's top five. I'm not going to say he's, but he's creeping that top ten category. I'll tell you that. He's creeping that top ten category. I'll tell you that he's creeping that top 10 category right now. He's pretty good. He's pretty, pretty, pretty good.
Speaker 1:Okay, absolutely, absolutely Texans. Hey, they're there. They're there and we got to play them on Christmas. Have fun. That's not going to be an easy game for us, but if we keep up punching people in the mouth, running for almost 200 yards between anybody, no one's going to stop us.
Speaker 2:That's fair. No one's going to stop us.
Speaker 1:No one is going to stop us, that's right. So brown bag time.
Speaker 2:Okay, this is my favorite, yeah, my favorite Brown bag time baby who gets the brown bag of the week?
Speaker 2:Okay, brown bag number one. Y'all are going to hate me for this. One Us, we get a brown bag. You want to know why the viewing audience gets a brown bag this week? Because we had to watch Miami and Tennessee play for four hours. That within itself gives us a brown bag. I've never done this before. This is the first time ever. But the viewing audience that had to watch that game we get a brown bag. I cannot believe. I cannot believe that we were obligated to watch that game. That game was so horrendous from start to finish. It really was. It was bad football. That was game. That game was so horrendous from start to finish. It really was. It was bad football, that was horrible.
Speaker 1:That was bad football. As a matter of fact, I didn't even have the audio on that game when I had the split screen. I was just watching. I was watching the Detroit game because that was more exciting.
Speaker 2:That's what I'm saying. We deserve to get the Brown back because I mean that was hard to watch. Hard to watch, that's my first brown bag oh, that's yours.
Speaker 1:Okay, I'm going to one-up you on that one. Sure, the 67% of America that went against the Baltimore Ravens to beat the Buffalo Bills you get a brown bag. The 67%, whoever you are in that 67% you get a brown bag. The 67%, whoever you are in that 67%, you get a brown bag. Thinking that Buffalo was going to walk into Baltimore and beat us because of the first three weeks, y'all thought that y'all was a juggernaut. But the juggernaut got his helmet tooken and punched in the mouth several times and the tune y'all only scored 10 points. And they said that mouth several times. In the tune you only scored 10 points. And they said that hasn't happened in, I believe, 57 games that Buffalo has ever played, 57 games that Buffalo has not scored over 30-something points. Yeah, yeah, yeah, america, whatever 67% you get a brown bag for that.
Speaker 2:Ridiculous, ridiculous. My second brown bag.
Speaker 2:the Eagles. Y'all playing like shit right now. I'm sorry, there's no other way to put it. Nick Sirianni does not deserve to be a head coach anymore. I'm done, I'm tired of him. The Eagles as a whole is not playing well offensively. Defensively, we suck. I don't care that we're 2-2. We suck right now. We're playing with a lack of effort, a lack of urgency, and it's showing on the field and that, within itself, is enough to to just completely remove us from being in any sort of conversation for contending for a title. Seriously, the way that we're playing, we don't deserve to be in a conversation. Y'all get a brown bag. Do better figure the fuck out during this damn bye week. Whatever you need to say, whatever needs to be done, do it, because I can't see, as an Eagles fan and Eagles fans alike.
Speaker 2:we cannot see this shit again. We can't, no way. We cannot have a repeat of last year. Get it done now.
Speaker 1:Absolutely. I totally agree. I totally agree. Alright, you gave yourself a brown bag. I'm sticking with fan bases here. All the people that wants Justin Fields bench, you get a brown bag. All the people that wants Justin Fields bench, you get a brown bag. Justin Fields is doing everything in his power. He hasn't made a viable mistake that I've seen in any game that he's played. Now, the box snap. I will put that on the snapper because I don't think he was ready. I don't think he called for the pass, that's on the snapper.
Speaker 1:So you telling me you want the man benched for what? And he's playing his lights out. He's played his heart out In the tune that he's won y'all three games. He's won you three games. Don't get me wrong. Your defense was those first two games, first three games. They was on. Yeah, but the fourth game they didn't look like their self. Right, the defense, but that fan base that wants Justin Fields benched. You all get a brown bag. Okay, I'm picking on them all.
Speaker 2:That's fair. That's fair, absolutely and rightfully so. My last brown bag and I had to fight through this one. I was thinking about this all day and I think I'm going to settle on this one. The New York Jets.
Speaker 1:You beat me to it, yo, I.
Speaker 2:If you're going to lose, that's fine. If you're going to get blown out, that's fine. Hell if you lose. In the rain, I get it. Inclement weather, I get it. You lost to an NFL team that only threw 60 passing yards. That's the team that you lost to Really. And just to make things even better, no touchdowns, all field goals For a whole 60 minutes. Yeah, I mean, I've got nothing, that's it.
Speaker 1:For me has it become the field goal league. I mean, no one wants to score a touchdown these days. It's the field goal league. Everybody kick a field goal.
Speaker 2:I don't know that was bad. It's unbelievable. I never thought I don't know that was bad. That was bad, that's unbelievable. I never thought I would see that and I saw it and I can't unsee it so that within itself Jets. You get a brown bag. That cannot happen again. Absolutely.
Speaker 1:Absolutely, absolutely. Let me see. Let me see if I want to give anyone else a brown bag, yeah, why not? Why not?
Speaker 2:Sure.
Speaker 1:I'm going to piggyback down to Miami. Miami you get a brown bag, because I don't know what type of play calling y'all got going on down there. Y'all only scored 12 points. Again, that game was horrible to watch, horrible, horrible. I ain't even had the sound on. But, miami, you get a brown bag. Mike McDaniels is down there, right, mcdaniels?
Speaker 2:right, that's his name yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, yeah, whole team gets a brown bag, because that was horrible. Pitiful, pitiful, pitiful, pitiful. I hope we don't have a game like that in week five at all. We want to see some competition here. Okay, that's what I'm saying. Say that again we want to see some competition. But again we're going to sign off. You know we enjoy y'all Tish, we love you, yep, and we'll tune in to the Regal Eagle podcast. Make sure y'all can tune in for the Q&A, saturday 4 o'clock. It's going down to Regal.
Speaker 1:Eagle Podcast. It's on YouTube. Check the guys out. Guys are awesome. We've talked to them a couple times. I'm trying to get them on the show sometime. But hey, go listen to them. They got the Q&A going on. We going to be there because we love Q&As and we may bring out some brown bags on that show too, why not?
Speaker 2:Sounds like a good idea, my good sir, we'll see y'all later.
Speaker 1:We tuning out.
