D.K./Tree and TJ Season 3 Episode 22
D.K.:

The Power of the Power, of the Power of the All right, good evening. Good evening, I ain't been on here in a minute. Oh, my goodness Boy, I miss you. Oh, I tell you I miss you when I'm not on here. But hey, I had to come on here. You know when things are on my mind. I had to come on here. You know when things are on my mind. I had to come on. I had to chat about this. Your boy, damon I'm here with the DK and Tree podcast Took me a little minute for this one because this one kind of touched home for me Dealing with American Airlines Flight 5342.

D.K.:

You know, being a part of the aviation family, you know, like I said, this one hit hard for me just a little bit because that could have been anyone that could have been on that plane. That could have been any one of us, especially dealing in the aviation field. That could be any one of us out there, of us out there. But unfortunately we lost 67 people 67, and broke my heart to even see that. And what I don't like, what I'm seeing, what's going around, is the whole pointing fingers and blaming. This is not the time to be pointing fingers or blaming anybody. This is the time that this is a tragedy. These families have lost loved ones. Husbands have lost wives, wives have lost husbands, children have lost their parents. This is the time that we all need to stick together. This is the time that we need to be there for one another, dealing with a tragedy. This is a tragedy that has happened in our country and we don't need to be blaming anyone for anything. How about let's comfort these families? Let's sit here and be their strength, because right now they probably have lost everything, especially children. They've lost everything because their forever person was on that plane. Even with the military helicopter, I believe they said one of the pilots had a one-year-old child and a wife gone. Any instance, this is not the time to be pointing fingers at anybody. This is the time that we need to heal and stick together. Let the investigations be their investigations. But again, this one hit me kind of hard because again I am in the aviation field and I can never understand how someone's feel right now. They've lost their loved ones to a tragedy. Everybody sees what's going on. Everybody sees and saw the video. Everyone has said this. You know, everybody knows what happens, so we don't need to elaborate on that knows what happens, so we don't need to elaborate on that.

D.K.:

What I'm saying is this this is not the time for someone to be bashing somebody, someone to be blaming someone, someone to be saying, hey, this is your fault, oh, this wouldn't have ever happened. This, this, this, no, stop, stop, stop. No one needs to hear that these people have lost their loved ones. We need to be supporting them, sticking behind them, saying everything to them to try to have them cope, to deal with the pain that they're going through, and that's what we don't have right now is support Someone trying to help them deal with their pain.

D.K.:

In other words, we got somebody pointing fingers, and that's really ridiculous. It's a total crock of bullshit. If your loved one was on that plane, would you be trying to point fingers? No, you'd be trying to get to the bottom of why did this happen? And let's make this not happen again. That's what we should be focused on right now, not focused on oh, it's your fault, oh, it's not. No, it's no one's fault. This is a tragedy. Yes, it is, it is. This is a tragedy, but this point is it is. This is a tragedy, but this point and finger stuff that has to go, has to go.

D.K.:

And then, as I'm coming on here tonight, I hear that there was another incident up in Philly, another plane that crashed and set some fires, houses on fire. Again, this is sad, unfortunate, and we don't need anybody ridiculing anyone. We need to find out what is going on to make this whole situation better for everyone else. Remember, we got people to get on planes all the time, all the time. So you know their anxiety is going to beat through the roof right now. Beat through the roof. It's like they're going to be nervous. Even a little bit of turbulence they're going to be worried.

D.K.:

This is not the time to have everybody fearing something. This is the time we have to stay strong, stick together and say, hey, we're going to get through this together. Yes, these people lost their lives and it's really really sad, really really sad, and my heart goes out to every member's family that was affected by the crash. My heart goes out to you, but this is the time that we got to stay strong for each other, stay strong for them, Stay strong so we can be strong and united as one, not blame someone, not blame someone.

D.K.:

And, like I said, we're developing story up in Philly right now, you know, with that plane crash and I've been seeing some videos about that and just horrific. We need to get to the bottom of what's going on Because, like I said, that's going to send people's anxiety through the roof, especially the people that fly, especially the people that fly. Is this a scary situation? Yes, it is Very scary, but this is not the time to be trying to point some fingers. This is the time that we need to stick together. This is the time that we need to send our prayers to all those families that lost their lives and hopefully in the Philly incident that no one lost their lives, hopefully. But my hearts and prayers go out to Philly also, having to deal with that, just like the incident here in DC. They have to deal with that. We need to stick together.

D.K.:

Again this one hit me a little harder because I'm in that industry and for the simple fact that no one survived, no one's loved ones coming home anymore. It's a sad, sad situation, because it could have been any one of us, any one of us, any one of us. Again, my hearts and my prayers go out to all these families. We need to stick together. We have to do a better job. We don't need to be bickering and pointing fingers Of whose fault it is. This is a tragedy that we need to figure out not to happen again. I'm going to sign off on that note Again, if you tuned in, thank you for listening. Again, my heart goes out to these families, anyone that's lost anyone in that tragedy. My hearts and prayers go out to you. I'm going to sign off and please, again, we need to stick together. Stop pointing these fingers.
