Reject the Victim: Breaking the Blame Game, Embracing Accountability, and Fostering Honest Connections
Thank you for watching. Oh man, oh man, oh man, how are y'all doing this evening? I figured I'd come on here because you know, when I have things that's on my mind, I come talk about it. It's your boy, damon. I'm here with the DK and Tree podcast and, like I said, when I have things on my mind, they ain't come to family. Let's talk about this one.
D.K.:So let's talk about playing the victim, playing the victim, and we know, and I'm pretty sure we know a whole bunch of people that plays the damn victim all the time, whether it be in relationships, whether it be your own family, whether it be just anything. In general, somebody wants to play the victim because they don't want to never admit that they're wrong. They're always right, and you have situations out here, like I said relationships, family they just play the victim. I'm never wrong. But yet you want to go around and you want to run and you want to tell your side of the story and think that your side of the story is gospel. You always want to hype yourself up and make yourself bigger than what you are and then you want to play on people's sympathy and then you just want to say, oh, it's their fault. I wasn't wrong. They did this to me and this and that. How about put a goddamn carrot in your mouth and shut the fuck up? How about that? That's the whole point of this. You want to sit here and always want to tell your side of the story, but you don't want nobody else to tell your side of the story. So I love it when people play victims and you got receipts on them. I mean receipts and I mean you can like oh, that's what they said. Oh well, let me show you this. Oh, let me show you that. Let me just oh, let me show you that, let me just listen.
D.K.:Like I said, you know, when you can check somebody that's playing the victim, it's always, always great. And, like I said, even in relationships like, if your partner Right and you know, you know how your partners are They'll play the victim. Sometimes, like you got some people like, oh, instead of apologizing, they'll play the victim and make. You got some people who's like, oh, instead of apologizing, they'll play the victim and make it seem like it's your fault. No, this ain't my fault, it's your fault. So, when you're going to take accountability for your actions, when you're going to take responsibility for your actions instead of playing the victim all the time. And that's just what they do and deal with it.
D.K.:But, like I said, when you plan this victim so much and you sitting here talking about people behind their back, right, and then somebody say, well, wait a minute, that's not what happened, but hey, I got receipts to show what happened, you might want to shut the fuck up Seriously, because if you don't, it could cause some serious, serious problems. But again, like I said, you got people out here play the victim all the time. They just want people on their side, they want sympathy, they want to feel oh, I did nothing wrong, I'm just oh, you know, you hurt my feelings. Oh, this and that, shut the hell up and be a damn man or a woman. Seriously, man up, woman up, stop being a victim all the time, because again, you're involving people in unnecessary fucking drama, and that's what being victims are. They just blame everybody. And then they want to loop everybody in, guess what.
D.K.:That doesn't bother anyone, because if you're playing the victim, hey, I'm like this and me personally, I'm like this. I ain't got to say a word. Hey, that's what you want to say, say it. I've been through this, I've been through it. I've been through someone playing a victim on me. So guess what? Over that and you know what I did I kept quiet. Let me tell you why, because the truth doesn't need an explanation. Only thing I got to say, like I said, I wanted to come on here. All you people out here, stop playing a goddamn victim man or woman up, take responsibility for your damn actions and not somebody else's. But you see, they're not going to do that because they're still going to play the victim anyway. But anyway, fam, like I said, I just wanted to come on here and talk about that for a quick, quick, quick second. You victims out there, fuck you all. Y'all have a good night.
