Football Drama Mounting in Week 2

D.K./Tree and TJ Season 4 Episode 3

Send us a text

Football drama reaches new heights in Week 2 as quarterback injuries reshape the landscape and defensive lapses create chaos across the league.

The physical toll of the NFL season became painfully apparent this week with several quarterbacks going down. Joe Burrow's wrist injury appears far more serious than initially reported – despite talk of a "three-month recovery," simple math tells us his season is likely over. These injuries create crucial opportunities for backups to prove themselves and potentially change franchise trajectories.

Monday Night Football delivered a bruising Super Bowl rematch between the Eagles and Chiefs. Philadelphia's controversial "brotherly shove" play once again proved effective despite Kansas City's complaints about missed false starts. The debate around Jalen Hurts continues to seem increasingly irrelevant as he stacks wins against elite competition despite modest passing numbers.

The Lions unleashed an offensive masterclass against the Bears, with Amon-Ra St. Brown dominating while rookie Caleb Williams struggled mightily. Meanwhile, Dallas narrowly escaped an upset against the Giants in a game where defense seemed entirely optional – Russell Wilson threw for over 450 yards in a losing effort, raising serious questions about the Cowboys' playoff viability.

Unexpected storylines emerged elsewhere: Daniel Jones has Indianapolis at 2-0, Trevor Lawrence continues to regress in Jacksonville despite his massive contract, and Cincinnati managed to win despite losing Burrow. As Week 3 approaches, the resilience of organizations to adapt to these early challenges will shape the contender landscape moving forward.

Speaker 1:

oh, hey, after a little delay, we are here. Man, I'm excited, even though it's raining here you know it didn't dampen this day because we got some things we got to talk about on this football thing here. It's your boys here, tj, dk, dj and Tree Podcast. We here. We here to recraft this week too. Hey, I'll tell you, just like this, week two, I don't know was probably better than week one, because the drama is just mounting around in week two, just a tad, just a tad. The drama is just mounting around in week two, just a tad, just a tad. The drama is mounting. But let me say this first Anyone that got hurt in this week two, my prayers are with you.

Speaker 1:

Speedy recovery. You know, I really hated to see that. Joe Barrow went back down. Khalil Mack got hurt last night, so it was just so many people around the NFL that was just getting hurt and we just get started. So my prayers out to them, because we don't want to see our players get hurt. We want to see them playing the best, because that makes the trash talk even more fun, because the simple fact that, hey, don't we trash talk all the time hey look, my player is better than your player. So prayers go out to any nfl player that got hurt. Hey, speedy recovery. Hope you get back on the field soon because, hey, we love all the drama. We love all the drama that y'all give us, we love that the heart attacks you give us.

Speaker 1:

And speaking of heart attack, um I know exactly where I want to start today, not yet not not yet I do want to address.

Speaker 3:

I do want to address this because you brought up the injuries. I do think that we are at a state this early in the season already, which I don't know. If you remember this fondly, there was a season a couple years ago where I think it was 66 quarterbacks that played, that started a game for an NFL team. I think it was 22 or 21. I could be wrong. One of those years. Right, okay, this is week two going on week three and we have a lot of quarterbacks that are going down.

Speaker 3:

Joe Burrell, let me make this profoundly clear this whole three months thing. Let's shut this down. He's done for the year. Okay, let's do math. Profoundly clear. This whole three months thing. Let's shut this down. He's done for the year. Okay, let's do math, guys. Okay, we're in September, october, november, december. Three months, that's the season. Guys, he's out for a year. What are we doing right now? But I say that to say that this is an opportunity for some of these teams to show how good they really are, because with these guys that have backup quarterbacks stepping in like this, is an opportunity.

Speaker 3:

If you've been in the league for a little while, this is an opportunity to show that you still got some talent left in you, and for those who are rookies or in their second year or younger guys, you have an opportunity to potentially, depending on the situation, to have a legit argument for starting for the quarterback position the following season. So the opportunity is starting for the quarterback position the following season. So the opportunity is there for the taking. It sucks that it's opened up this way, but the fact that we are having this conversation going into week three is insane, unbelievable.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I would have to agree with you. I would definitely have to agree with you. I would definitely have three we can't even get to.

Speaker 3:

We can't even get through a quarter of the season. Right, we are already having this conversation.

Speaker 1:

It's insane yeah, listen, the drama, like I say, is definitely mounting and especially and we we talk about the two from monday night football, they was laying the wood on each other last night.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I didn't think that the rest was even like you know something, we need throwing no flags, just let them play. Yeah, just let them play, except that one hit. They put it on Herbert. That one hit, they put on him. They threw a flag for that one, yeah, but they laid the wood to each other. I was like, oh, oh, this is, oh, it seemed, it seemed personal.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, they're letting a lot, and that's been across the league over this past week, like they're letting a lot of things go, like a lot of a lot of hand checking if you're a corner allowing that to go by a little bit. Uh, you know, if you're a wide receiver, you're trying to position yourself and you want to get a little extra little little baby, push off. There's no, you know, I'm saying there wasn't a whole lot of we're gonna throw a flag just for the sake of throwing a flag. There wasn't a whole lot of that. No, not at all. Which?

Speaker 3:

I can appreciate, which I can't appreciate, because there's been so many games and so many times throughout our football lives where games or where games were decided because of those penalties. So I'm glad that the refs are Kansas City. I'm glad that the refs are deciding to say, oh, my bad. I'm glad that the refs are deciding to say you know what? These are grown men playing a sport. Let's let them have fun Play it out.

Speaker 1:

I appreciate that. Yes, I do too. I love it, I love it. I love all the drama. I love everything about it.

Speaker 2:

So oh my.

Speaker 1:

God, oh my God. I love everything about it. So, oh my God, oh my God. I said that I wanted to start, but you said not yet. So I'll go to the second one. Anybody here have a guy named Amarant St Brown. Let me say this again Amarant St Brown, yeah, any Detroit fans in here? How about that? Because, St Brown Any.

Speaker 3:

Detroit fans in here? How about that? Let me find my ways for this one. The Sun, god, yes, that guy. That was a bad man on Sunday.

Speaker 1:

One man beat up on a whole team. One player, One player beat up on a whole team. One player, one player beat up on a whole team. I kind of figured Detroit was going to bounce back. And then for the simple fact that Dan Campbell was facing one of his coaches, so he's going to say I'm your daddy and I'm going to teach you what to do. I love Dan Campbell. Dan Campbell will stick the knife in you and turn it and then just smile at you and keep turning it. He laid the wood to the ball. They didn't let up at all.

Speaker 2:

If you blink.

Speaker 1:

St Brown had the ball. If you blink again, he had the ball again. If you blink, st Brown had the ball. Yeah. If you blink again, he had the ball again. Yeah, if you blink, detroit scored.

Speaker 3:

I think what threw me off guard the most was we're talking as we're watching the insane game that's going on in the midst of this game. That's, that's going out of proportion and I'm like there's seven minutes left and there's 52 points. I want to. I want to make something very, very clear. Right now there is almost eight minutes left, when we were having a conversation about the game and they already had 52, which means if dan campbell really wanted to be that coach, if he really wanted to be that asshole, if he really that's number one, if you really wanted to be that guy, that guy, what you saw a couple years ago in Miami would have translated in Detroit. Again, that's how bad it was.

Speaker 1:

Let's not forget Dallas. Oh, we will get to them. Oh yeah, they beat them off TV. Okay.

Speaker 3:

It was. I was like there's eight minutes left in this game and it's 52 points on the board. What happened? Okay, I do want to say this now If you are a Bears fan, god, y'all can't catch a break.

Speaker 1:

Y'all can't catch a break At all. They can't catch a break. Y'all can't catch a break At all.

Speaker 3:

They can't catch a break at all Y'all were enduring the years of Jay Cutler. Y'all remember that. And then it went from Jay Cutler to you know what? Ah, going to have some bad quarterback play, bad quarterback play. Then y'all decided to get high up in the draft and decided to go get Mitchell Trubisky, and we see how that played out.

Speaker 3:

Then you went back into the first round again, you got Justin Fields and then y'all decided that you know what, even though he's good at the whole running thing, let's just not give him an offensive line and not really give him any weapons and see how he does. Well, we see how that experiment went out yeah, we see how that worked out.

Speaker 3:

now we have caleb who, apparently, out of the quarterbacks that were in his own draft class, with him being drafted number one overall and I'm not being it's not hyperbole when I say this might be the worst. The only contention he has right now is JJ McCarthy, who, literally, I'm giving a pass because the man just had a baby a couple days before the game started. And for those of you who are new parents or are about to be parents, y'all know that your whole life changes as soon as the baby comes out. Everything changes. Your work schedule changes, your drive to work changes, your music changes, your food changes, your taste buds become different. All that changes as soon as a baby comes into the scene. Okay, I'm going to give him a pass there, all right? Besides JJ McCarthy, who is also in his division, by the way, the worst playing quarterback in that draft class is the former number one overall pick.

Speaker 3:

Let that sink in. Arguably the worst quarterback in that draft in that draft class is the number one overall pick. Right, he can't throw it to me or you right now. Oh my God, you could be. You could be literally I. You could be in front of this camera. This is Caleb. Hey, I'm open. He's going to find a way to throw it to the other side of the world before they even get to me. That's how inaccurate he is right now. I'm not joking. What is going on in Chicago?

Speaker 1:

Well, what the hell? Hey, you know something? I thought the Giants had it bad, but Chicago seems like they have it worse.

Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

Speaker 1:

Mike, at least the Giants are fighting that second game they fought, but Chicago, oh they went down.

Speaker 3:

And what's frustrating is that, with Chicago especially and the reason why I'm emphatic about them is because heading into the season, you got Caleb, who got Ben Johnson as the head coach. So everybody's like oh, the offensive plays. We saw what he did in Detroit. We're about to bring that over to Chicago. It's going to be crazy. Caleb Williams and DeAndre Swift and DJ Moore and Colson Loveland and Cole Komet and Roma Dunze, and then they drafted Luther Burden and then we've got a solid offensive line. We paid all this money to the offensive line. The offensive line has become turnstiles. The only receiver that he throws to is Roma Dunze. No one else on the field exists. The running game is non-existent and I legitimately do not know if the Bears offense knows how to get points on the board. They're anemic to points right now.

Speaker 1:

Anemic Leslie in the house. Uh-oh, fellow Eagles in the house Got to give a shout out, oh yeah.

Speaker 3:

How you doing Leslie Go Birds. So this thing in Chicago. The reason why I'm feeling the way I'm feeling is because I remember all offseason long man gotta look out for the Bears. The Bears is like everybody's sexy pick. It was like man. I can see the Bears getting into the playoffs making some noise. They got a new head coach, offensive coordinator. Everybody wanted him and now they're about to make some noise. Nfc North, as if, and in respect to the AFC North, the toughest division in the NFL today, and this is how they're playing Now. I don't want to be overly insane. This is only week two going on. Week three. This could dramatically change come week eight. Week nine, sure, oh yeah, even though I want to let you in a little secret. It's not happening, but nevertheless, what the hell is going on.

Speaker 1:

Well, chicago ain't putting it all together? Because, like I said, dan Campbell said I'm going to spank you and teach you my child, and I'll teach you what you need to do Now. If you don't do it this way, then this is always going to happen to you, right? Dan Campbell smacked him around like he was nothing.

Speaker 3:

They didn't look like an NFL team on Sunday.

Speaker 1:

No, no, they look like a high school team. Oh my god, high school. And again, any Detroit fan that's out there, come rep your team, because this is the only week you're going to be able to rep it, because next week you got us and we talked about this. We talked about this one. If it's a repeat of what happened the last time, y'all came to Baltimore and it's on primetime football, monday night football y'all coming to baltimore and we're gonna serve you up on a silver platter, I promise you we will, because the ravens are really very angry right now. They're still angry. But detroit hats off to you. Shellacking, oh my god, oh, I ain't even used that yet. Shellacking, shellacking. Hey, is any chicago fans anywhere out there?

Speaker 1:

listening please let me um tell me how you feeling I mean there's nothing to feel.

Speaker 3:

There's nothing to feel. Okay, it's getting real cold. We're only in september. It's getting real cold in Chicago right now. Real cold.

Speaker 1:

Okay, the heartbreaking loss on week one they let they come back and went. And then the beat down they just took.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Not not looking good for them. Not, not at all no not a good look at all at all. And again, at Chicago, my my hats off to you. I thought y'all had to come play us next week, but it's Detroit we have to play.

Speaker 3:

I think we are in our schedule, but the same thing's going to happen if you are so going from one team who we thought hey you know what we knew coming in it was going to be a loss To another team that we mentioned earlier, that went into overtime and if it wasn't for someone who, if it wasn't for someone who threw the ball like this and threw an interception I'm sorry fans in Dallas yes, I share the same state as you Y'all lose that game. I want to make that profoundly clear. Profoundly clear. Russell Wilson was acting like he was back in Seattle, like he was back in the rainy Pacific Northwest.

Speaker 1:

That was crazy. That was crazy, but let me add on to that. Let me add on to that If you're coming in here and you're coming in here and you see us, please share it. That was crazy, but let me add on to that. Let me add on to that If you're coming in here and you see us, please share it, please share it, please share it. We want to engage with everybody, share this out to everybody. But let me pick on somebody On the Giants, number 75. Let me do the count. False start, number 75. Oh, bro Bro, false start, number 75. Let me let me do the count. False start, number 75. Oh, bro bro, all start number 75. False start, number 75. False start, number 75. False start. What coach ain't kicking himself to see that their person is starting early? Man that killed the drive. Now they was up and down the field because those defenses wasn't even. They was non-existent. It's like they was playing scrimmage with each other. The Giants I can't believe she showed up the Giants.

Speaker 3:

Hey the Giants, I expect for no defense to be played. Right, I think we all can agree on that. No one expects for them to play I mean, they have nice people on defense, don't get me wrong but we don't expect for them to be the 85 Bears here, okay.

Speaker 1:

There's still the Giants.

Speaker 3:

No, it was the Cowboys who literally just said you know what and I haven't brought this out in a minute, this is iconic. They said you know what? Forget how our name usually sounds, you can just call us for the week the Alice cowboys, because we don't play a lick of defense. We don't know what that is. We don't know what that letter is in the alphabet. If you were to ask any dallas player right now, they would say that there's 25 letters in the alphabet. Why are you saying 25? Because there's 26. You want to know what's missing? D.

Speaker 2:

That's how.

Speaker 1:

Oh, my goodness, you know something. It must not have been meant for my man to say because he got stuck. That's what happened when the Wi-Fi didn't say you know something? You're in Dallas, we, we're gonna cut this off. This is all jerry jones fault that my boy gun got stuck right here. This is all jerry jones fault, but I'm just reiterating what he was saying with the dallas cowboys. I'm gonna put him down here for a second till I can get him back in here Again.

Speaker 1:

Dallas, there was no defense whatsoever, even by the Giants. There was no defense, and all I'm saying is this they was going up and down the field for the tune that Russell Wilson threw for 460-something yards on the defense. That should be unheard of, unheard of, unheard of. But all the false starts that we was talking about, and it was just crazy. Lex is welcome, tish. You know we're going to get to your Steelers, right? Yeah, I'm definitely going to get back to y'all. Let me see. I think he just may be back. There we go. We got him back. Hey, I was just re-reiterating on. There was no defense on either side of the ball, but you can go ahead and finish it up.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, ok, I want y'all to understand that, to put in a perspective of how the lack of defense was being played in Dallas on Sunday was being played in Dallas on Sunday. If you were to poll every single Dallas defender hell, you could even do the whole team if you really feel like it and ask them how many letters are in the alphabet. They would all collectively tell you it's 25. Now you me, I know it's 26, but you're probably wondering why it's not 26 to them? Because the letter D doesn't exist. For them it doesn't exist. That's how bad of a defensive performance it was. I mean, my God, I saw Russell Wilson do this and score touchdowns. I saw Russell Wilson sit up there and get nice and comfortable in the pocket. Huh, huh, huh, huh. Here you go, here you go, here you go here.

Speaker 1:

He had Pete Carroll in his ear.

Speaker 3:

I won't even face the direction. Here you go, here, there you go, have it, there you go, just all over the place. He had 450 yards 450.

Speaker 1:

On a so-called defense, how's?

Speaker 2:

Michael.

Speaker 1:

Possum working Not having. I'm just asking Because where was the pressure?

Speaker 3:

Oh, you know, man, it's almost like they needed to stop the run. The run was so important and it was so important they didn't just their whole secondary just realized. You know what. It's so important. We don't need to cover, we don't need to cover, we don't need to he, he can catch that ball, I ain't worried about it yeah, nah, we ain't anywhere.

Speaker 3:

The touchdown that wilson threw the neighbors in double coverage. You might as well thought that it wasn't any coverage. He threw it and you see digs and you see the safety and you would have thought that they were nowhere near him. That's how open it felt like he was right. I was like where is the energy at? Where is the? Where is the sense of urgency? I mean, y'all are. Look, I understand a win is a win. You're going to, you're going to go into locker room one-on-one, even though you you skated away with a field goal. I want you to understand, out of every team that won this week, that by far might be the most discouraging. I'm not joking. I'm not joking. Nothing about that would be like. If I'm a fan, there's nothing about that. That would be like. You know what? We can make our way into the playoffs this year after that performance. Yeah, yeah, the way we just beat up on the Giants like that, we bounce back.

Speaker 1:

No, absolutely not. No, no, not at all. I want to see what happens week eight, when Green Bay comes. Yeah, that's what I want to see. Yeah, when green bay comes. Let's see, green bay has seemed to have dallas number, even when aaron rogers was there I mean jordan loves number two yeah, yeah so

Speaker 1:

playoffs in dallas right, right, super bowl. They're going to super bowl. I'm just asking. I'm just asking that performance, like I asking that performance, like I say, on both sides neither one of them had no kind of defense. Nobody wanted to stop anybody. Everybody said oh, we just let you walk up and down the field, we'll just see who does what. Oh, my God, but Dallas, good win. Got to give it to them. They didn't win. Y'all won by a foot. Y'all won by a foot. I'm not giving that, I'm just giving. You ain't going to give it to them, I'm not giving them that shit at all.

Speaker 3:

Oh, that's two Sorry.

Speaker 1:

I'm not giving them that shit at all. Okay, that's three. That's three.

Speaker 3:

I don't know I'm not giving them that. I'm just not. I'm just not going to do that. You don't get to take away from that game that they still won. I feel like that's more of a loss than anything. If I'm a Giants fan and I saw that game, I would be like you know what. All right, I still don't like that Russ is in there, but okay, if that's what we're able to put up on a defense, that's bad. We got a chance.

Speaker 1:

But Russ did his thing. I have to give it to him. Russ did his thing. Pj, you in here? I think I saw you come in. Yeah, but Russ did his thing. Man, I'm not mad at either one of them. Hey, it went into overtime to decide the winner. It almost ended in a tie. Hey, Dallas, y'all got that one. That's all on y'all. That's all on y'all. That's all on y'all. But you know, I got to go pick with my family. Now I got to pick with my family. Is there any Kansas city chiefs fans in here? I'm just asking. I'm asking for me and some friends. Is there any Kansas city chiefs fans? I had to call and check on my family up there. I said, hey, yes, he Tish love. This is part of the segment when we talk about the chiefs.

Speaker 3:

Oh man.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to go ahead, Wait. You said they acted a fool.

Speaker 3:

I'm going to channel in my inner Tish voice right now. Okay, go ahead. Tish, you may like this interpretation, you may not, I don't care. Okay, your Steelers may not, I don't care. Okay, your Steelers lost bad, I don't care. Okay, take it easy.

Speaker 1:

The fans were fighting each other.

Speaker 3:

Oh Lord, I'm going to do such a bad job. Kelsey don't got no hands. What we talking about? What we talking about? Let's talk about it. Kelsey don't got no hands, let's talk about it. What we talking about? What we talking about? Hey, let's talk about it. What are we talking about? Let's talk about it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, let's talk about it. What are we talking about? What are we talking about? Let's talk about it. Yeah, let's talk about it. Patricia and Trevina, what are we talking about? What are we talking about? Oh my God.

Speaker 3:

Okay, now that I heard myself do that out loud, I don't think it was that bad. So just in case no one else does it, I'm going to do it for myself. That was impeccable. That was impeccable. I got you, I got you, I got you.

Speaker 1:

The town don't want to talk about it. Oh my God, talk about those birds, go birds.

Speaker 2:

Go birds.

Speaker 1:

Oh I love it, boy, they're in here Boy the Eagles, they're all coming in here big time. Bring it in, bring it in, oh my God bring it in oh my god hey, listen, I love when I get a chance to down Kansas City. Let's go with this one. Let's alright, let's go with this one. If you look, my homies was running for his goddamn life and that was with a four man rush, a four man rush.

Speaker 3:

I hear you, but let me make this very, very clear Mahomes, that is still a bad man. Y'all can keep playing this game if y'all want to. I saw him on Sunday without Worthy, without Hollywood Brown, almost, because he was acting like he could move, and Travis Kelsey that looked like he was going back in 2019 all over again. He looked phenomenal, not gonna lie, I think he had like 70 yards rushing, like our defense. Right now it as a Philly fan, I'm trying, trying to be facetious when I say this. They are starting to turn into illusion doors. Olé, olé, olé. That thing suck. Just let them through. And then I'm like yo, what is going on? But outside of my homes, what do you want to talk about? But outside of my homes, what do you want to talk about?

Speaker 1:

Let's talk about it. Listen, don't get me wrong. He had a couple great plays, especially when he threw that bomb, and I was like, oh man, here we go, here we go again, here we go, here we go.

Speaker 1:

But I want to hear all the Chiefs fans that's going to be complaining because of the simple fact that when they slowed everything down and, with the tush, push the Brevely shove, they got so many names for this. It's ridiculous. They're going to say that the refs favored y'all because they didn't call the false starts on the uh, brevily shove. And I'm like this okay, if you remotely want to come on here and start complaining about that. All the stuff y'all done, got away with for over the years leading to all these super bowls, all the calls that they looked the wrong way, all the past interference that they look the wrong way, all the pass interference that they look the wrong way, and y'all want to complain about this and y'all feel as though that y'all was robbed because they didn't call these calls. Get out of here.

Speaker 1:

I don't want to hear it, and I've been hearing that from some of them, chiefs fans oh, you know we do this. I don't even hear from them right now. I don't hear from none of them. I haven't heard from any Chiefs fans, not even my family at all, and I keep on telling them hey, come see me, come see me. I said win, lose or draw, I'm going to be here, come see me, but they 0-2. And they may squeak up with it when, I think, they play the Giants next. But I see your face, so I don't want to hear any of this complaining about you Didn't get calls called your way, because that's the first thing they want to say is we didn't get calls called our way. No, y'all got the wood talking. Yeah, that's all. Yeah, I got beat by the better team. You ready for this?

Speaker 3:

You ready for this? Go, I'm about I'm about second time to this and there is a rant incoming. But first, before I do that, in response to that, here we go. Okay, now that I got that out the way, I want to address a couple things. Number one this whole conversation about the tush-push bruvly shove. I'm calling it a bruvly shove. Stop calling it a tush-push. It's very weird, don't do that, okay, number one. Number two I find it funny that people pick the weirdest times to be outraged by some of the smallest things in football. Some of the smallest things in football.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, very small.

Speaker 3:

That. Play that one. Play that, by the way. If we're able to do it, you can too. You're just not successful at it. You get mad Because it works for us, and you'll get mad and it don't work for you.

Speaker 3:

That it don't work for you. Then you get mad that the ref which, by the way, a play, that's already a scrum by default. You're mad that the ref which, by the way, a play, that's already a scrum by default. You're mad that the refs, who can only be so close unless you want them to get hit by a bunch of helmets and shoulder pads, can't see offensive linemen jumping off sides, having false starts, can't see that? Okay, all right, but you want to know what's so funny about those fans that you speak of, mr Davis? Come on, those are the same fans that had to watch their team in Brazil across the whole other hemisphere, across the whole another hemisphere, where, on last week's show, I literally said they should have kept their tackle in brazil and had the team come back to the states, because this was all he was doing last week five times in a row.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, sounds like somebody from the Giants, but go ahead so excuse the fuck out of me, that's five.

Speaker 3:

That's five. Okay, excuse the fuck out of me If I am not surprised that you have the nerve to say that y'all lost that game because of they were having a false start. Oh, right right this is this is the anybody that tries to add this conversation start.

Speaker 2:

It was a false start. A false start. They know better than that. The refs knew that we were at home.

Speaker 1:

They should have caught it against us. Hold on, let me go back to this one For glam mob Crybaby Mahomes and Mr Taylor Swift yeah, Exactly, exactly.

Speaker 2:

So again, y'all thought, because y'all were in Arrowhead, that the refs were going to look at y'all and feel bad because they had a false start. Y'all do know that your tackle has a false start, every single play, every single play, every single play. But don't, nobody say nothing. We done got used to it by now. It happens all the time.

Speaker 1:

But our test push. He has to be protected.

Speaker 2:

Our test push Our brotherly shove. It has to go away. It has to be protected. Our brotherly self it has to go away. It has to be banned. It was a false start.

Speaker 1:

What Is he? A comedian? Because he's funny. How does he do that? You have got to be kidding me.

Speaker 3:

You've got to be kidding me.

Speaker 2:

I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear it.

Speaker 3:

I don't want to hear it and, by the way, I add to that rant we have this conversation all the time about Jalen Hurts, because that's what I saw all weekend long.

Speaker 1:

Wait, wait, wait, wait. I got you. I got you on this, I got you on this, I got you on this one, I got you I got you.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I'm all ears. We've said this before. Jalen Hurts is a top 10 quarterback, now top five quarterback. We have both said that on this show repeatedly. But yet he gets questioned all the time. He put that team on his back. He has won these games, even up in Kansas City, even last week he has done amazing things. Jalen Hurts is no more questioning where he is on the tier. He is up there in the top five as far as quarterbacks. Anyone want to debate us on that? Come on on here. We can have you call in or video in. We are ready for the smoke. Thank you, gotcha.

Speaker 3:

Thank you thank you, thank you, thank you because I'm about sick of this. I'm about sick of this 101 yards, oh my god, a quarterback to 101 yards, hey, hey. To channel my inner Jalen Hurts right now, this is what Chris Jones said to him as he was getting ready to do a kneel down to end the game. Chris Jones is like oh my God, you didn't even have 100 yards. You want to know what Jalen said?

Speaker 1:

But we won the game.

Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Don't give him that version. I'm giving him the real version. Go for it. We won the fucking game, hey man.

Speaker 1:

Hey man, what you got to gotta say. Chris, how you feeling? And that's nine. Oh, we're at nine.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, we're not oh well well, not, not, not before getting to 40. I ain't bad, I ain't bad, yeah, okay. Nevertheless, this whole, this whole thing about how we view quarterbacks, how we interpret quarterbacks this is not rocket science. Do you do what it takes for your team to win, or do you put yourself in a position where you cost your team a chance to win? That's it, your quarterback. Do that, yes or no?

Speaker 1:

No, plain and simple, they don. He give you the opportunity to win and he did.

Speaker 3:

That's it.

Speaker 1:

We are tired of debating this and let's go back to the super bowl. Let's go back to the super bowl. If that didn't prove to you that he was in the elite status and not mediocre, then something is wrong with your eyes. Something is wrong with your eyes, y'all ain't watching the same game.

Speaker 3:

Y'all ain't watching the same game. I just wanted to put that out there, because that's all I've seen. All I seem to see is now, all of a sudden, we're bringing back the conversation of the touch push being banned, the Bradley Shub being banned, all this other stuff, and it's so cute, it's cute. It's cute. It's cute because I don't recall us saying you know what juwan taylor? We should ban him because he keeps having false starts every single play. You don't hear anybody saying that. It happens all the time.

Speaker 1:

We done got used to it by now just saying no, I'll tell you who we didn't see during the kansas city game. Kansas City game. Who's that? Taylor Swift, oh.

Speaker 3:

Uh-oh, was she in her Backstreet Boys.

Speaker 2:

Bye-bye.

Speaker 1:

Bye-bye. Yeah, not one pan, not one. And then Kelsey being upset because he dropped the ball. That's on you, bro.

Speaker 3:

the interception don't get upset the play in slow motion and you see how many times he had a chance to actually catch the ball.

Speaker 1:

I'm like bro what is that that? Hey, hey, hey, hey. Who is he? Fumble Ruski, fumble Ruski, fumble Ruski, no, fumble Ruski.

Speaker 3:

Butterfingers Keep it in my hands.

Speaker 1:

I think the best part about it is when Mahomes was giving this press conference and how sad he just looked. Oh man.

Speaker 3:

Poor baby.

Speaker 1:

Oh my God, Wait a minute. I got to go back to this combat. Cry baby Mahomes.

Speaker 3:

Oh man, just such a poor baby, we all should feel bad. Just man, just cry the violin away, cry the violin.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely, because, again, if anybody, any Kansas City fan, want to debate this, we got time today. We got time. We can bring you in on video or you can call in. We got options. Kansas City didn't have none.

Speaker 3:

I don't think it's worth them doing that right now, because they're going to get a break, because they got the Giants this week.

Speaker 1:

But wait, if the Giants beat them, that's going to be something to talk about. Just sit there in a hushed mood.

Speaker 3:

If they start this season 0-3, I'm letting y'all know right now it's not happening. But if they start this season 0-3, I'm letting y'all know right now it's not happening. But if they start this season 0-3, uh.

Speaker 1:

Uh, he being swift away. He's fallen off since he got in this particular relationship hey.

Speaker 3:

Glam, Mama, hear me the way he was playing on Sunday. I can't say that he was turning back the clock on us. It was bad and Travis on Sunday was getting real. He was getting real disrespectful with it. There were certain routes that he was running. I was like I haven't seen you do that route since 2018. I don't say you want to do that against us. Like why us, why I gotta?

Speaker 2:

be, honest.

Speaker 3:

You know what I mean they got their three p?

Speaker 1:

yeah, nope, they got it. Three P, yeah, nope, yeah, nope, yeah.

Speaker 3:

They got it All right man, hey look, I, it's not going to happen Cause it's the giants. If this was maybe I don't know, this was like a mid team Like. If this was like uh, Detroit, no, they are not mid, no.

Speaker 1:

If this was.

Speaker 3:

If this was the Steelers, if they had the Steelers this week and they lost to the Steelers, we would be like, alright, something ain't right. Because if their defense shows up which they very well can be it can get really ugly and, as we saw, Anything can happen.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and Glam Mom, yeah, you're right, they did lose three in a row Super Bowl and the first two games. That's right. But, man, I don't know if I believe in grandpa aaron, you don't have to believe, I'm just saying.

Speaker 3:

I'm just saying if you were to replace the giants and the word just put a regular nfl team in place of the giants and they had to play them week three, I think we would have a different discussion about?

Speaker 1:

no, I'll tell you. I'll tell you one even better, and I'm sorry that he got hurt the Bengals, they always have their number the Bengals they always have their number, always. They don't compete where they don't compare. Alright, what you mean we?

Speaker 3:

got y'all messed up. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Tish, you got us messed up because we're about to get to y'all messed up. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, tish, you got us messed up because we're about to get to y'all. Would you like to explain to me why mr jackson, smith and jigba and man people are getting creative with how to say his name wrong has 227 yards in four quarters.

Speaker 1:

Four quarters One-yard defense.

Speaker 3:

Without a touchdown. Can you explain that to me? Because, let me know, because the defense that y'all spent so much money on, by the way, the most expensive defense in the league Okay, that defense got lit up like a Christmas tree on Sunday. Expensive defense in the league Okay, that defense got lit up like a Christmas tree. On Sunday, sam Donald was turning into, I don't know. Joe Montana, tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes had a child. I don't know how three people could have a baby, but that's what happened on Sunday. That's how bad your defense got shredded.

Speaker 1:

What the hell was that for a team that flew from the west coast to the east coast and that's very, very rare that a west coast team comes to the east coast and beats the east coast team. That's very rare. Wow, unbelievable. Yeah, look we number three. Wow, unbelievable, yeah, look we number three. Defense in the league Number three in defense. They number three, no.

Speaker 3:

No, after last week, I just passed on me. No, no, ma'am. No, sir, no way, sorry, no way.

Speaker 1:

No, no, yeah, y'all did mess up, yeah, but I'm going to give credit, the credit to you. That's mike mcdonald. Yeah, that's mike mcdonald, and he had those boys ready. He had him ready because, remember, when he was defensive coordinator with the ravens, who do we play twice? The steelers, the steelers, that's right.

Speaker 2:

So he knows, he knows what to.

Speaker 1:

He knows a thing or two, so he knew how to get ready for him. So I had to give Mike McDonald credit.

Speaker 3:

I mean that right there and then I'm watching that game. I'm like the Steelers running game doesn't exist. The offensive line, which I was never high register on, was even worse. Somehow on Sunday I was joking about who was it, what team was I talking about earlier being a bunch of turnstiles on their offensive line. That offensive line in Pittsburgh, let's talk about it, let's talk about it, listen, listen.

Speaker 1:

You know I've been an advocate of how much I don't like Aaron Rodgers. I do not like Aaron Rodgers at all At all, and if anything happens with him, I laugh, because the simple fact that he is like, oh you know, he feels as though he's the Messiah. I'm here to save you. And then the one little bad thing that happened. Look what happened. Right, interception, interception.

Speaker 3:

Blaming people already.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, oh, it was his fault.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, what type of team leader is that it's giving New York Jets all over again, y'all. I'm warning you now, tish, I'm warning you now. This is giving New York Jets from last year all over again. Right, it really is. He's already blaming people.

Speaker 1:

Yep, he sure is. And I wouldn't be surprised and Steelers fans, if you're listening I won't be surprised if Tomlin gets up out of there because of Rodgers, that's not happening. That's not happening. You never know. Every place Aaron Rodgers has had what has happened, head coach has been fired. Every place Aaron Rodgers has been. It's not happening. I'm just saying.

Speaker 3:

I'm just saying, I'll tell you this, I'll tell you this If Mike Tomlin is fired because of that man, I promise you um, the front office is a joke, genuinely it's a joke, kind of like the bangles, kind of like bangles, yeah no, that shouldn't even be a conversation. I don't care how bad the season goes by the way, that should never. That shouldn't even be a conversation. I don't care how bad the season goes by the way, that should never be a conversation no, it shouldn't, it shouldn't, but it's Uncle Earn.

Speaker 1:

I mean sorry, grandpa Earn, that's what he does. He complains about everything. Nothing goes his way, he complains not Tomlin.

Speaker 3:

Tomlin will bench his ass. He did. He did it last week, he did it on Sunday.

Speaker 1:

Mason.

Speaker 1:

Rudolph come on yep, oh, we're at 10, damn it 11 so again the thing with him he's selfish and that doesn't work in that pittsburgh culture. Being selfish, do they have some egos up there? Yeah, they do, but that selfishness, they don't do that up there, right, right, they don't do that up there. And as much as you know I love the robbery between us, I can say that they don't do that up there. No, no. So he better get together or something's going to happen. I'll just let you know right now. But Mason Rudolph ain't the answer either.

Speaker 3:

No, and that's this. The way this past Sunday went is a prime example why. When the draft came around and the Steelers pick came, this was before they even signed Aaron Rodgers we all knew we all was under the impression. Take Shador.

Speaker 1:

And that's what I thought was going to happen.

Speaker 3:

And here we are, and now we got Aaron Rodgers, who has already shown you just off of one loss that hey, hello, this may get really weird. Really fast, really fast. They're better than Wilson Tish, all right. Than Wilson Tish, all right. No.

Speaker 1:

All right, we're not watching. You know something? I'm not even entertaining that comment, I'm not. Did you see Wilson's stats? I'm just asking Did you see Russell Wilson's stats versus Mason Rudolph's stats? I'm just asking Did you see their stats? It was nowhere close, nowhere close.

Speaker 3:

Why do I feel like we need to talk about this team again? They're 2-0. They beat Denver and their team is led by, out of all people on this sky, green earth, daniel freaking Jones, or, as people have already named him, indiana Jones, which has got to be the most stupidest nickname you can give to a journeyman quarterback in my life. They're 2-0, and he's playing like he's a top 15 quarterback right now. I'm not joking. The guys like him in Indy. I don't know if you saw the clip where, when they made a game-winning field goal, how the team pretty much hugged him like they were celebrating, I don't know, like it was the 4th of July or something Christmas. I have no idea how I should feel about this team, but I got to say this. It's only two weeks. I got to give credit with. Credit is due. I've been talking so much shit about Daniel Jones, so much, and rightfully so. Rightfully so.

Speaker 1:

I mean, come on, we followed him from New York, right? Yes, and then everything else.

Speaker 3:

Man, oh man, and here he is in Indy and they're rallying behind him and he's playing well too. I I might be tripping. I don't think he's thrown an interception yet nope shell welcome I don't think he's thrown an interception yet now. I don't know if you want to credit don't think he's thrown an interception yet now. I don't know if you want to credit shane steichen, their head coach, who's clearly their offensive play caller, I I don't know.

Speaker 1:

But what I do know is is that whatever kind of football they're playing, it's methodical, it's effective, it works and they win but that's what happens when you get someone around you that matches your skillset, say, hey, we see what you can do, let's put these pieces around you, let's put this system in play. And, bam point in case, dan Campbell, what he did with Jared golf system he has around him works for Jared. Right, it works for him. It works for him. It works for him. They got a good system around them.

Speaker 3:

I'm genuinely lost. I'm not joking. I'm not joking. I'm watching the Colts right now. I thought they would be 0-2. They're not 0-2. The Texans are 0-2, though I don't know what's going on. I don't know what's going on. I don't know what's going on. It's bizarre world almost right now, not gonna lie to you. It's it's insane quarterbacks dropping like flies.

Speaker 1:

It's, it's weird unless you're a raiders fan, you know, and you think gino's the answer first play of the game, you throw a pick. But I digress, I digress, I digress, hey, uh, because if anybody watched eva, one of those money night football games, the hits that they were laying on them games, I was surprised there wasn't a whole bunch of laundry on the field. Oh, my goodness, I I love the hit. Yeah, oh yeah, let them guys play. I mean, y'all already, y'all already, like, if they look at somebody wrong it's a taunting penalty. There you go. So let them guys play. Right, just hold my hands up. Oh yeah, ejection, what I'm ejected.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'll say this real fast because we really shouldn't give this game a whole lot of shine, but we're going to do it anyway. That Sunday night game. I think we understand the difference between great quarterback play and then what isn't great quarterback play. Because if you are a Vikings fan and you saw what JD McCarthy did on Sunday night, now again I'm giving him a pass. He's a new parent, new dad, kid is here. I can only imagine whatever happened between Thursday, when they had the birth of the baby, to Sunday night. It was all in flux. I'm giving him a pass but, oh my God, it felt like every time he snapped the ball it was going to be a turnover. He finished the game with four total turnovers what the hell.

Speaker 1:

What the hell Sounded like Jared from last year. Huh, he won the game with five turnovers.

Speaker 3:

So I, if you are a Vikings fan, I would not. I don't feel good. I don't feel good right now, I really don't. And if you are a Falcons fan, today I don't know if I like or hate the way that Pennix played. Their offense is very weird because it's like they involved B John Robinson. Then they're like you know, let's get kyle pitts involved. Ah, let's just throw a lot of drake, london, even though he's like only six, six foot one it is. It's very weird of an offense the way they're constructing it right now.

Speaker 3:

Now, I don't know if that's something that I need to keep a close eye on for the rest of the season. I have no idea. But right, that was weird, that was weird. B John looked like the one of the best running backs in the league and then it was just like you know what, let's have Pennix start throwing the ball. The run was working. Just let him run the ball. What are we doing? So I don't know if you're a Vulcan fan, great, you got to win Awesome Sunday night. Everybody got to see it, cool. But that offense that way there, no, I would not be pleased right now. Not at all.

Speaker 1:

But hey, trust me, they are, they are, we won. Yes, they're happy, we won, we won. Yes, they're happy, we won, we won.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, we're not even going to go over the Bills who?

Speaker 1:

thrashed the Jets, we ain't going over that. I'm not even going over the Ravens, I'm not even going over that.

Speaker 3:

That was nothing. The only reason why we covered the Lions was because I don't think we would see an ass-beating so soon in the season. But we got it anyway.

Speaker 1:

So, duh, if any Detroit fan watched that game, that may be listening. Did they cut that off? Did they cut the game off?

Speaker 2:

That's a good question. I love when people get beat off TV. That's a good question.

Speaker 1:

I love when people get beat off TV.

Speaker 3:

That's a good question. I love when people get beat off.

Speaker 1:

TV.

Speaker 3:

Oh my God, Because what in the hell was that? Let me see, I'm thinking off the top of my head here. 49ers with Mac Jones, they won a game, so they're 2-0. That's cool? Yeah, absolutely. But it was the Saints, so who cares? I am going to go to the Bengals Go for it.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to pick on the Jaguars here, please, but let me pick on the Bengals first. Okay, okay, they 2-0, right, oh, I'll be 2-0 this next. How many years have we talked about on this show, about them investing in a line to protect Joe Barrow? How many years have we talked about this?

Speaker 3:

We've talked about this, so many times.

Speaker 1:

How many years have Joe Barrow did a full season? I think it was only the Super Bowl year that they went to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3:

Only the Super Bowl, year 21,. Yeah, only the Super Bowl year.

Speaker 1:

Other than that, he's been hurt, hurt, hurt because the Bengals front office don't believe in paying people to protect people. And if I was Joe I wouldn't have took that contract. I'd be like get me out of Cincinnati, get me out of Cincinnati. And the reason I want you to get me out of Cincinnati is because I done been hurt every year up here, except one when we went to the Super Bowl. So now the man's hurt and we just talked about this earlier Three months. That's the season, mm-hmm. So now the man's hurt and we just talked about this earlier Three months. That's the season. That's the season. January, you're going to the playoffs Right, that's the season. Now Jake Browning is their quarterback who miraculously took them down the field to win the game. That's right, that did happen To win the game. You's right, that did happen To win the game. You have to give it to them, right, that's right. Jaguars Defense.

Speaker 3:

Oh my God, bro, what was that?

Speaker 1:

What? Y'all had them. Y'all had them on the ropes. Y'all got one of their best players out of the game. He's gone, yeah, and you can't stop him. Hmm, not to mention that y'all want to throw the ball to them like they own your team.

Speaker 3:

Oh my.

Speaker 1:

God bro.

Speaker 3:

And there was a clip of Trevor Lawrence. Liam Cullen, the head coach of the Jaguars, was trying to say something of Trevor Lawrence. Liam Cullen, the head coach of the Jaguars, was trying to say something to Trevor Lawrence and you just see Trevor Lawrence just kind of wave him off. I want to make something very, very clear, Because I'm about sick and tired of this. Trevor Lawrence. You got paid $200 million that you didn't deserve and you didn't earn. You've, in fairness, haven't had the greatest amount of head coaches to work with.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 3:

Okay, I like Doug Peterson. He didn't work for you some way somehow, even though he worked for us, but that's neither here nor there. You had Urban Meyer to start off your tenure. We all know how bad that was. You have an offensive coordinator in Liam Cohen who literally made Baker Mayfield, helped him make Baker Mayfield look like he was in contention for MVP last year, Yep. But yet you, you, you, you. Injury prone, interception, prone, fumbling prone blonde hair waving, incomplete, inaccurate. You want to wave somebody off. Can't be my quarterback because I would bench the hell out of you. Bench you on the spot, I don't care how much money I paid you.

Speaker 3:

I don't care how much money you think you have in the bank, you're sitting down. Because how dare you? Who are you? Who are you? Who are you to wave me off? And then you proceed to throw the pick to end us the game too. Oh, sit down.

Speaker 1:

Sit down, had them, had them. Sit down had them. And let's go back to the Bengals here for a second. Sure, if it wasn't for the kicker last week in the Browns game, they would have lost that game yeah. Wasn't for the kicker Bengals would have lost that game. But y'all won and they're parading now. They're parading. Oh, oh, we won, oh, we two, and oh, now they ain't gonna last they ain't gonna last at all. No, so enjoy the two and oh ride that y'all had, because it's about to go downhill real fast.

Speaker 3:

And I shared this with you yesterday. I'm going to say it here. I do want to address Joe Burrow and him being injury prone. I saw a stat today that said that he's only played 61 games or 71 games, I think in his NFL career he has been sacked 202 times.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy.

Speaker 3:

That's crazy. I'm going to let y'all do the math on that. That's a lot.

Speaker 1:

Okay, not a lot, that's that's okay, it does.

Speaker 3:

Okay, that's how often he's been sacked. Now, with that being said, I do want to and I hate to do this because he is injured at the end of the day, so I don't want to be emphatic about this. However, we all know Joe Burrow is not Josh Allen, lamar Jackson, jalen Hurts, kyler Murray. He's not a guy that's going to scramble out the pocket. That's just not his thing. So one of the things that we know Joe Burrow for is that he's going to stay in the pocket for a second longer to deliver that pass, and he's going to take the hit.

Speaker 3:

The problem is, if I know that you have a bad offensive line, if you know that you have a bad offensive line, if you know that you have a bad offensive line, don't you think, in your right state of mind, that you might want to I don't know get rid of the ball sooner? A lot of the times that he is getting banged up he is taking a step longer, a second longer, a lot longer than he needs to to get rid of the football. And next thing you know we look down he's on the ground. So it's like I don't want to hamper on it because at the end of the day he's hurt. We hope for a speedy recovery, but some of this is on him too. We all know the offensive line isn't good. We all know the offensive line isn't good. You know the offensive line isn't good. So why don't you just make everything quick, get out your hands, because you know that at any given second someone's going to fuck you up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, 12.

Speaker 3:

You just know it. You know what's coming. So again, not saying it's his fault I'm noticing a trend not just this year, by the way, but over the past few seasons with Joe Burrow where some of the stuff is like man, he just needs to get rid of the ball sooner. Get rid of the ball sooner. I know he wants the deep shot. I know he does. He's one of the best in the league at having a deep ball. I get it. But sometimes you just got to get it out, just get out your hands because you don't have the line to do it.

Speaker 3:

You don't have the line to do it. You don't have the line to do it, not right now, and, given the franchise that you play for, you never will.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, just saying so. I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. I know we always share our opinion, but hey, we're going to open the show up to you all. We're going to open the show up to you all. We're going to open the show up to you all. Anybody want to call in there? It is Just type that in, type that little code right there. It will ring over here to me. I will answer.

Speaker 1:

You can come on, you can say your opinion about your team. Oh, look who it is. Hello, hello, where have you been? Hey, hey, where have you been? Hey, last time Angela was on the show she said who's Lil Daddy? Well, lil Daddy, right there. Oh, is that my nickname? Yeah, lil Daddy, all right, yeah, so again, because again the show is interactive, we want to hear from you, we want to hear your opinions on your teams. You know, like I said, we talk about our teams, we talk about everybody else. Hey, we want to hear from you also. So, hey, you can either use this one or I can send out a video link and you can come on screen yourself. You know, again, very interactive. I'm going gonna wait a couple minutes because, again, we love to hear from you hey, hey, here you go. Tj. Hey, honey bun. What was this for me? Is that for me, little daddy, okay?

Speaker 3:

angela, I'm pretty sure that you are a very intelligent woman. I've never met you, I've never spoke to you before. I'm pretty sure you're a very intelligent woman. I think it would be a human death sentence for me to entertain such comments, such comments. So for my sake, for the sake of keeping this lovely face on this program in your hearts, to stay number one, I refuse respectfully, because I still need to stay afloat. I still need to stay above six feet under All the women that is watching this show. Y'all know exactly what the hell I'm talking about. I don't even need to say it without saying it. Okay, so I just wanted to put that out there so that way everybody's under the same understanding there. I want to remain above six feet under the ground.

Speaker 1:

I want to keep that way, everybody's under the same understanding there I want to remain above six feet under the ground.

Speaker 3:

I want to keep that way. Lynn's laughing at that one. Okay, all my women out there.

Speaker 3:

I know this is not the, I know Tree's not on the show, but all the women that are watching this show, y'all know better than me that I personally cannot allow that to transpire. Not on my conscience, maybe on somebody else, maybe on Davis over here, maybe on his conscience, but for me, me personally, first of all. Too young, I still got a lot of life to live, not yet Okay. Okay, I'm just putting that out there, oh my god I want to make that clear.

Speaker 1:

It's all love it, just it is. It's all jokes. It's all jokes, boy thank you.

Speaker 3:

Thank you for being the woman to set the record straight. I didn't even have to make a separate video about it, thank you. We need more women on this planet. Like you See, this is what the show is ultimately about. We talk about interaction. We talk about the people that come through the most. Out of all the comments that were made tonight, this was the one that has saved my ass. Thank you, 13. 13. I greatly appreciate it, angela. You know what If you're a fan of the NFL team?

Speaker 1:

Angela is a faithful supporter of the show. Thank you, I got much love Angela.

Speaker 3:

Angela, you are awesome. I appreciate you. We need more women like you. Thank you, Because I promise you this show is going to end with more questions and answers even though I have more answers for the NFL part and then here comes this stuff and I'm just screwed. I don't know what to call. You know what I mean. No one wants to call. I'm glad we are all adults and we were able to handle this professionally and as calmly as we possibly could be, Because this was about to be an emergency fire drill in a second On me On me, Because of course it's on me. It can't be nobody else, it has to be me.

Speaker 1:

I guess no one wants to call us today. Oh my God. Yeah, after that they damn sure don't want to.

Speaker 3:

They're like what?

Speaker 1:

No, oh, my goodness.

Speaker 3:

No, not doing that, not doing that to myself.

Speaker 2:

I don't blame you?

Speaker 3:

I don't blame you at all, oh my God.

Speaker 1:

You know I got you. You're a solid dude and, as an NFL, I always root for your best uniform. That's right.

Speaker 3:

You know what? That alone, you just Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1:

Oh my goodness. But Angela, welcome back to the show.

Speaker 3:

This is what this show is all about, man. Thank you, I needed that. I needed you. I needed that. That was great. I feel better. Now I feel at peace. My team's 2-0. We beat the Chiefs two times.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, hey, no Chiefs two times. Yeah, no Chiefs fans in here. How about anybody from the state of Missouri? How about that?

Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no no, how about Kansas City?

Speaker 1:

Kansas, I'm just saying.

Speaker 3:

This is how I'm feeling right now. Jesus Christ.

Speaker 1:

Oh my God.

Speaker 3:

so now everybody's probably waiting for me to join the podcast when Tree's on there, because now I just walked myself into a wall you just walked yourself into it, I did.

Speaker 1:

We about to start back up soon, okay, uh, oh look, I'm letting you out Everybody's like what we about to start back up soon. Okay, Uh-oh, Go birds. Look, I'm letting you out. Go birds, Look at Tish laughing.

Speaker 3:

Oh my God, Y'all have no idea, man. It is not easy having to be in moments like this. So when people like Angela come into the fray and set the record straight, without me having to do a separate video, having to be all professional about it, look, I want to take a second to apologize to all of my fans and all of my supporters.

Speaker 1:

Wait a minute, I got you. I got you, hold on you got me. What you got. Dear fans, I would take this time to just want to apologize to everyone that I have commented. Said this, and you know I don't have anything else on my page, but I'm just sorry. See you later. Didn't mean to offend you Didn't mean to offend you, then on that note.

Speaker 3:

I'm about to offend somebody, let me offend you.

Speaker 1:

And on that note, and on that, note I'm about to offend somebody, Chicago, because you get the brown bag first of all. Oh bro, Forget the shellac of a lifetime.

Speaker 2:

Man.

Speaker 1:

Everybody up there in Illinois. Y'all get brown bags for Chicago bands.

Speaker 3:

That's a brown bag. Okay, damn, you know what? I don't think. We usually do this for people that win For the Alice Cowboys. I knew it. Y'all get the biggest brown bag of all time. There's 26 letters in the alphabet, but if you were to ask any Dallas defender on Sunday how many there were, they would tell you 25. That's how much they refused to play defense on Sunday, oh my Lord, overtime and almost ending in a tie, if it wasn't for the kick. Yeah, no, no, not at all. Ground back. We don't even need to go there on that one.

Speaker 1:

No, absolutely not, Absolutely not. Let me see, hmm, who else I want to pick on today. Who else I want to pick on. Who else I want to pick on today. Who else I want to pick on. Who else I want to pick on. Let me look through these scores. Let me look through these scores. I feel like it's low-hanging fruit.

Speaker 3:

What's that oh?

Speaker 1:

Go. Oh, I give it to you. You ready, go, she's here.

Speaker 3:

She's here for it. I hope so. Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers offense Y'all getting brown bag. Because let me tell y'all something, y'all offensive line Tish what we talking about. What we talking about, look. That offensive line Ole Ole hey opens the line Ole Ole hey. You know what? Hey, I feel like being a butler today. You are more than welcome to come through. Please, please, please. The quarterback's right here.

Speaker 1:

Here's a platter and a towel for you here.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, I have it on this arm. You can just enter it in this way, like that was the entire offensive line, that was the entire Auburn's line.

Speaker 1:

No, we're not going to leave you all alone, because one guy can't have 200-something yards on you. But then again, jamar Tate did that to us last year, didn't?

Speaker 3:

he Twice yeah, jesus Christ, it wasn't our liar. Yeah, yeah, he did that to us.

Speaker 1:

Jesus Christ, it was an outlier yeah, yeah oh my god, but that was last season, so those stones are behind us.

Speaker 1:

Oh my god oh, my goodness, do you have one? Nah, nah, nah, that's who I was going to pick on Uncle Aaron, grandpa Aaron. I was going to pick on Uncle Aaron, grandpa Aaron, I was going after him. You know, I have to go after him. I have to go after him. I saw she popped in BJ, you in here. I'm going to pick on Big Russ here for a second too, throwing a blind pass. Throwing a blind pass for interception somebody's there somewhere I can't see.

Speaker 3:

Uh, I think it's malik neighbors. I think he's down there somewhere. Just here we go, go blue, go blue. I can't.

Speaker 1:

I can't one more. You do got one more. I said I wasn't going to pick with him, but I'm going to pick with him.

Speaker 2:

Cleveland Browns you're going to pick with him, yeah, yeah and it's not because you all lost.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's not the reason.

Speaker 2:

That was going to happen anyway.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's not because you lost, it's because y'all had Joe Flacco, a 41-year-old quarterback, when y'all had a young man on that sideline that y'all should have put in that game when you knew that game was pretty much over. Then try to give yourself a chance to get in, because, remember, they have tape on Flacco, they don't have tape on Shador, sure, don't Cleveland. You don't get a brown bag for the loss, you get a brown bag for not weighing your options better. So, absolutely, I'm giving Cleveland a brown bag for not weighing your options better. So, absolutely, I'm giving Cleveland a brown bag for that. That's good.

Speaker 3:

That's good. I don't hate it. Don't hate it at all.

Speaker 1:

When you knew that game was out of reach, it was like, hey, flacco, sit down, go in the game, let's see what we got. Give ourselves the best options to see going forward what we can do. Yeah, exactly, going forward what we can do. But hey, cleveland's not going to listen to me.

Speaker 3:

No, of course not no.

Speaker 1:
