What Happens When A Tired Nation Finally Says Enough]

Tired of being told to wait while life gets harder? Damon lays out a clear, unfiltered look at how voters in Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, and even Mississippi turned frustration into action—and why that momentum matters when paychecks stall and flights get cut. We connect the dots between surprising election swings, the human cost of a government shutdown, and the simple baseline citizens expect: pass a budget, keep essential services running, and remember who you work for.

You’ll hear why these state results are more than headlines. They’re proof that communities can defy the narrative and set a new course when leaders play games with benefits, food assistance, and basic stability. Damon tackles the ripple effects—families juggling bills, workers asked to show up without pay, and holiday air travel squeezed by staffing cuts that slow airports to a crawl. If you’ve ever watched long lines snake through terminals or felt the pressure of rising insurance and groceries, this conversation speaks directly to you.

We also revisit the pandemic as a stress test of priorities. While other countries moved quickly to shield households, American support arrived late and light, forcing people to absorb shock after shock. The takeaway is not partisan—it’s practical: stability is cheaper than chaos, and it starts with leaders who deliver on time. Most of all, the episode is a call to keep the pressure on between elections, demand transparent budgets, and use your vote to reward competence and compassion. If you’re ready to turn fatigue into force, hit play, subscribe, and share this with someone who needs a reminder that power still lives with the people. Then tell us: what should be fixed first?

SPEAKER_00:

All right, good evening. Good evening. How's everyone doing today? Hope your day's going good. Hope everybody's doing fine. It's your boy Damon. I'm here with the DK entry podcast. Ooh man. As I have spoken like on many of my podcasts when I just come and just yeah, try to share knowledge, no, try to put out things is that I've said this. There's power in the people. Power in the people. And you all stood up on these elections around um different states. Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, all Virginia made a statement. I mean a statement. So with them elections down there, I said, hey, listen, if you don't like what's going on, you go out and you make a change. You go out if you don't like the current state of affairs, this was happening. You go out and make a change. Your voice does matter, and it mattered in all those different states. And you know, the shocking one that everybody seems to be talking about on the news is the New York one. You know, this guy winning that up in New York. So my thing with this again, it's power to the people. Your voice does matter. Again, if you don't like what's going on out here, you go make a change, you go stand up to it, you make a statement, and you all did. And I was just like, Wow, yeah, I guess you're tired of what's going on, and if you're tired of what's going on, you make a change for it. And there was another one that I saw that popped up. They saying that down in Mississippi, the Republicans had a super majority down there, it is now Democrats that hold that. And they said that hasn't been done in 13 years. Now, again, Mississippi is like one of our poorest um states in this nation. And again, they didn't like what was going on, so they stood up to it. And hey, listen, I applaud all of you because you stood up to it, so you get an applause. Because again, like I said, when your voice matters, it matters, and you stand up to it, and y'all did stand up to it. It showed in these elections, and it showed when someone gets on TV and they talk about oh, uh, we need to do this, this, this, this, and this. It just shows again. If you don't like what's going on, go make a change. Your voice does matter, your opinion does matter. You know, this government shutdown has affected so many people. It doesn't just affect the workers, but it affects their families, it affects everybody down the line because now they have to don't depend on other family or friends or someone to help them. But yet, you got people up here that thinks that, oh, I'm gonna just let them suffer. And that's truly, truly sad. That's truly sad. And then you're gonna try to hold um benefits, food benefits from people. So will you want your people to starve? I I'm not understanding this, and I say this it's it's all the way around, just not one side, it's all the way around, it's all the way around. This is just not a one-sided thing, it's everybody that's involved. I've said this with your lawmakers plenty of times before. Y'all got one job to do, one job, one job, have a government budget every year, one job. That's it. But no, everybody's selfish, y'all still getting paid, right? Y'all get to go home to your families and eat. But you got your people. The people you're supposed to be working for the people, and you got your people out here suffering. Your people out here don't know where their next meal is gonna come from. How they gonna put gas in their car? How they gonna feed their family? How they gonna feed their self? But you expect them to go to work though. You expect them, hey, you sit there, you do what I say, and that's just the end of it. And what makes that fair? It's not fair at all. It's not fair to the people, and it's not fair to people's families. Like I said, y'all were upset and y'all went out and made a change. And I was just like, wow, I said it before. When we stand together, no one else has a chance, and you got to stand together for it. Now, one of the big issues they're talking about for Friday, they're cutting down air traffic. So, you know what that means? We got holidays coming up, and you cutting down air traffic like 10% in 40 different airports. Oh, that's gonna be a mess. So you're telling me now I don't have no income, I don't have a job right now, I don't have any income. Now I can't even go see my family. Make it make sense. Who's that benefiting? Because last time we had a big, big government shutdown and it started affecting air traffic, they opened their government back up. But see, now it's getting to the point like, where do you care about your people? The people that you serve, where do you care about them? Because this is what this is all about. So you telling me, and this is for all these lawmakers, you telling me that you will really allow your people to suffer? You really allow your people to go through heartaches and pains, maybe lose their houses, lose their cars, you know, starve, people have children. Oh, not to mention, you know, if they don't do something about this um stuff with insurances, your health insurance is gonna go through the roof. And that's gonna affect everybody. Again, as much taxes as we pay in this country, there should be no way we should be going through this at all. At all. And I I touch back to the pandemic. I've said this before plenty of times about the pandemic. I said, listen, I said, with the pandemic, we shouldn't have had to be sitting around waiting for you to give us twelve hundred dollars. Y'all should have fitted the bill until that thing was over. No ifs, no aims, no buts. It shouldn't have been a problem, but it was. Y'all argued, fight, and bitched over giving the American people twelve hundred dollars. Unbelievable. Unacceptable. For again, for as much taxes as we pay in this country, we should not have had to go through that. But other countries help their people out. Say, nah, we got this. But again, we supposed to be the greatest nation in the world. We sure ain't acting like it. But some people are upset and they're making their voices heard. I've always said, if you don't like what's going on, go make a change. And they made some changes, and we'll see next year. They don't like what's going on, they probably gonna make some more changes, and that's good for you all because you're letting your voice be heard. No matter the circumstances, don't let them silence you. Get out there. If you look at what's going on, they're trying to take certain things away. Now, normally, I don't talk about politics, I don't, but this I wanted to touch on because the simple fact that I've said this if we all stand together, we can make plenty of changes around here, and you all have been standing together, and I loved each and every last bit of it that you stood up to it because you don't like what's going on. So, again, you keep fighting, let your voice be heard. Don't let nobody silence you because if they do, that's what they want. They want to silence you, they don't want you to get momentum, they don't want your steam, they don't want your opinion. But again, they work for you, you don't work for them. Whoever you voted for is supposed to work for you. Now, again, that's my little two cents. It is, but with this air traffic stuff that's about to happen, anyone is traveling. I my my prayers go out for you because it could be a long time. Your flight could get delayed, canceled, you know, they're shutting down different airports and terminals. You if you've been looking online, you've been seeing these long lines in different airports, and it's not getting any better. But like I said, if you don't like what's going on, go make a change. And hey, and them four states y'all did. Well, five from what I was reading. Y'all made a statement, especially Virginia. Y'all made a statement. So I'm gonna sign off. I appreciate each and every last one of you that may listen to this, comment on it, send me what you feeling also. But I'm signing off, and we'll see each other soon.
