Showing Promise
Showing Promise is a general-discussion podcast "hosted" by me, Matt. I had the idea of making a podcast back in 2021, and in true perfectionist fashion, I kind of actually sort of started working on it in 2022. If you know me, you know I talk a lot, so this felt like a logical outlet for all those words.
Episodes often drift toward music (because I love it), but really, anything goes. I just enjoy talking to people. So, while there’s no set theme or schedule—to heck with the algorithm—you can expect frequent banter, colorful commentary, and the occasional crass detour. Sometimes it's me and friends, sometimes it's just me rambling like a caffeinated philosopher. I post episodes when they’re done. That’s it.
This podcast is made purely for the fun of it. If you're into conversational chaos with heart, give it a listen. Thanks for being here!

The Coming Out Episode with Stuart Stock-Tucker
In the debut episode of the Showing Promise podcast, I'm hanging with my best bromo, Stuart Stock-Tucker. Stuart and I have a storied history, abundant with great moments and memories, but none perhaps more monumental than the night of his coming out. It has now been just over a decade since then, and we are taking a look back on life in and out of the closet. In this episode, Stuart shares his personal experience as a member of the LGBTQA+ community, dealing with fear and pressure, coming out to friends and family, the influence of our beloved music scene, and simply surviving in a world that is hell-bent on hatred. So come keep the PMA with us, and let's get in to it.
Thank you to Stuart for doing this with me, and for being a huge motivator throughout this project (and for making the sick intro and outro). I am beyond grateful and fortunate for our friendship. xXx.
