Showing Promise is a general-discussion podcast hosted by Matthew Cementina. I had the idea back in 2021 to create a podcast, and in 2022 kind of actually sort of started working on it. If you know me, you know I talk quite a lot. So it seemed like a logical project. It’s often on music, and I like the idea of going that direction, but I also just enjoy talking to people. So it’s nothing too specific at the moment. Frequently colorful. Sometimes crass. I don’t have a release schedule. I post them as I complete them. To heck with the algorithm. I do it for fun. When We Were Young Fest & Ranking Paramore Albums
It's been just over a month since my weekend in Las Vegas at the first ever When We Were Young Festival, and I'm still not sure I've fully recovered. In this episode, I'm sharing my full experience at the festival, as well as my thoughts on the event overall. And to close this one out, I thought it would be fun to talk about one of the festival's headliners, Paramore. They have been a bright spot in the scene for nearly two decades, and are still one of the best to hit the stage.
