Showing Promise is a general-discussion podcast hosted by Matthew Cementina. I had the idea back in 2021 to create a podcast, and in 2022 kind of actually sort of started working on it. If you know me, you know I talk quite a lot. So it seemed like a logical project. It’s often on music, and I like the idea of going that direction, but I also just enjoy talking to people. So it’s nothing too specific at the moment. Frequently colorful. Sometimes crass. I don’t have a release schedule. I post them as I complete them. To heck with the algorithm. I do it for fun. When We Were Young Festival 2023 & New Beatles Song!
Mom, this was never a phase! I'm back from fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada after attending the second annual When We Were Young Festival. WWWYF is the ultimate emo celebration, bringing together sensitive millennials from all over the world to sing our favorite songs and relive our teen-angst glory days. But how did the second year compare to the first? I'm here to tell you all about it, in what might be my most grand soliloquy yet. After that, I share my thoughts on the new Beatles song "Now And Then." Yes, those Beatles. THE BEATLES. In true Fab Four fashion, the group has once again utilized the latest in audio technology to deliver us new music in the year 2023.
