Robert John Burke is a renowned American actor who played Marine Corps legend General James "Mad Dog" Mattis in the memorable HBO series Generation Kill. Robert Burke is actively with the veteran advocacy organization VETHACK.
Besides being in Generation Kill, Robert Burke has distinguished himself in the other acting roles: RoboCop 3 (1993), Tombstone (1993), and Thinner (1996). During the 2000s Burke became well known for his portrayal of Mickey Gavin on Rescue Me (2004-11), Bart Bass in Gossip Girl (2007–12), Ed Tucker in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit (2002–20), and a number of other film and television roles including Netflix Intrusion (2021).
Robert is an active New York State Firefighter and has been a lifelong martial arts practitioner with a Black belt in Shoring Ryu Okinawan Karate. He is an avid reader and defies being a one dimensional person. Join us on this episode to explore the expansive life of Robert Burke.
