Mike Kim, Veteran Et Cetera host, is pleased to have Joe Bello, on this episode, to discuss how he has mastered veteran advocacy from a local to a federal level. He has been honored by many in the vet community and in 2019 was inducted into the NYS Veterans' Hall of Fame.
Joe Bello is a true New Yorker. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1984-1995, with duty aboard the USS South Carolina, USS Nimitz and USS Mahlon S. Tisdale. He is a Persian Gulf War Veteran.
For decades, He has been active in our community ever since, serving and giving voice to vets of all generations. He studied at NYU with the great political media analyst Dr. Neil Postman. Joe is currently the Citywide Veterans Director for the NY City Council, and a member of the NYC Veterans Advisory Board. His wife Vicki Bello is also a veteran and a veteran advocate. They are a dynamic duo for the veteran community.
