This episode of Veteran Et Cetera examines the US Marine Corps' 18 month study conducted by the University of Pittsburgh in 2020. The media has been presenting the study with myths that have caused political division in the military with fears of a "wokeism" in the military. There was a 2015 study sponsored by the US Dep of Defense but riddled with many scholars claiming that it was biased. The study was never signed off by Military top leadership. It was not dated, etc. The 2020 study has more reputable scholars tied to an evidence-based , peer-reviewed research study to understand the challenges and the present state of gender integration for US Marine Boot Camp.
