Show Notes

Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary. It has been said that reading is the gateway skill that makes all other learning possible. However, we shouldn’t ignore the possible impacts on our eye health when reading. Parents must always look after their kids as they use electronic devices, educating them about proper sleep hygiene and providing them with nutritious foods that will prevent them from experiencing dreadful eye symptoms as they develop .

In this episode, Juliette and Karl will share their exhilarating experience at AfroPunk Brooklyn, wherein a community of people who reject societal norms come together to celebrate Blackness and embrace their true selves, no matter what anyone else thinks.

With their second Nuri Letter, they dive into the intriguing topic of children's eye health, discussing the effects of reading in the dark and the impact of modern technology on young eyes. They explore a listener's story about reading under the covers using a toy light and explore the potential consequences on vision development. Learn what we can do to prevent children and ourselves from experiencing horrible eye problems and cultivate eye health awareness within their young minds.
