In this episode we learn about a new ministry coming to LifeChange Church and what true restoration looks like.
Hey, thank you for joining us this time on the Leading Life Change podcast. Today we're excited to have a conversation and give an introduction to restore and talk about true restoration next time. And I'm excited to be here today with some friends, good friends, Chris and Michaela Pearson, who God brought here. And uh I'm when I think about how God brought you to this church and put you in this family, I think about the vision somebody had probably 20, 22 years ago now over our church, that our church would be a hospital, a regional trauma center, and um minister to people who are hurting. And um I know we connected originally through a ride-along. Uh Chris works with the Sioux Falls Police Department, and uh he began to just share about this ministry, his life, his story. And uh man, it was fascinating. And then I got to talk to Michaela and hear a little about her story and and so grateful you guys are here today uh to talk about Restore, because I feel like it's gonna be very significant in the life of our church and specifically people that walk through the doors that need some of the ministry that you guys have received. Chris, can you just tell us a little bit about the ministry? Yeah, well, thanks for having us. Um, this has been kind of in the works for a long time. We're really excited to get it started going here. Um I guess to tell you about the ministry, I really probably have to tell you about what it did for me first. Sure. To explain kind of what it is. Uh for me, my freedom started. Well, my story started when I was six years old. At the time um I was I had right around the same time I accepted Christ, I was actually molested. And uh, you know, I at that time I didn't really know. Um, I didn't understand what happened to me. I didn't understand that I was a victim, but I did carry a lot of shame from that. Yeah. Right. And it as I grew and as I matured into a man, that underlying issue was there. Sure. And it it really shaped my character, my personality, uh, in some really negative ways. Uh I I would say I had an insatiable desire to please people. I was uh ultra competitive. If I did something, I had to be the best at it. And I was pretty rough with my family, uh, friends, and you know, people around me because of that. Um I had pretty bad anger issues too. There was a lot of um like things working in the under the surface that I had never confronted and never healed from. Um and you know, the just the sound of a someone's voice, like a like a gay man's voice, would instantly set me off, right? My blood would be boiling, um, uncontrollable anger. And I didn't really know anything about demonic oppression. Uh it never been taught in the churches I grew up in. I was in church twice a week, and it was never brought up. So I I heard about Restore from this girl that I went on a mission trip with in 2017, and she told me about her experience, and I said, well, you know, that's um maybe that's something I should do. And I brought it up with my pastor, I was really close with the lead pastor of the church at the time, and he highly recommended restore. He said it's one of the coolest things the church does, and still I didn't really know anything about it. Um, but I signed up for a session and I waited my time. Um, I waited, I think it was like a four to six month waiting period because there was just that many people requesting sessions. Um finally got in the seat, and the the leader, you know, they they asked the Lord, like, what do you want to work on with Chris today? And immediately the memory of that trauma was brought to the forefront of my mind. Wow. And I stood up. I tried to walk out of the room. Um they got in front of me and said, No, no, I think you should stay. I think you know you really need to work on this. And I said, I I've never talked about this with anybody. I had not told a single person, not my parents, not a single person. And that was something I I thought I would just take to the grave with me, you know. Um, but somehow they convinced me to sit down and continue the session, and over the course of the next three hours, uh, they led me through the process of um unpacking that wound. Wow. Right. Healing by forgiveness. And my eyes were opened to like the spiritual realm that had always been kind of like a veiled to me. Yeah. Um I will say my communication with Jesus that night was unlike anything I could even imagine on the earth. Uh, he communicates to me through visions almost like he's there in the room with me. And you know, through that course of three hours, I was able to forgive my abuser. I was able to um hear the truth directly from Jesus about me, right? Because I I believed a lie about myself, that it was my fault, um, that I was dirty, that I was unworthy, and I didn't know who I was. I was believing the other voices. And you know, Jesus told me, like, you know, you are my child, and he restored my identity in him. Wow. Right. And I was finally able to set aside all of that hurt and that anger and the bitterness that I was holding for 20 years, set it aside, and at that time, once that demonic hold had been broken, we were able to cast out the demons that were attached to it. Wow. Uh, after that, I had this incredible feeling of like a weight had been lifted off of me. Um, I remember driving home, getting on the phone with my wife, and it was just the most incredible experience. I she had never heard about what had happened to me either. So I kind of had to explain that first. And then so now it's just part of my story, you know. Where before it was something in the closet, now I can bring it to the light, and it's been redeemed, and you know, it can be used for healing now. Yeah. So yeah, I uh, you know, that was my first experience with Restore, and my eyes were open to the possibility of freedom in Christ. And you know, then I told McKenna, well, you gotta do this. That's awesome. And she had her own experience. That's awesome. I want to hear that story as well. Because I've heard a little bit, but not quite as much. But what I've noticed is, and and it is completely encapsulates your story, is the enemy will often capitalize on wounds that we have as children. It could be that kind of wound, uh molestation, you know, something like that. It could be things we've heard, it could be parents walking out on us, divorce, I mean, there's so many different ways, but the enemy shows up in that wound. And through that wound, he creates bondage. And um, if if it's not identified like it was in you, then you continue to walk with that. And you can try to bury it, you can try to put it in the cellar, but it's still there and it's still working against you. And I'm so grateful that you were able to experience Jesus in the midst of that process. And we talk about restore, it's all about Jesus coming into your story, coming into your past, coming into your pain to set you free. The only one that can set you free, the truth will set you free. And I love hearing um how God used that. Yes. So, Michaela, what about your story? And I know you're you're a big advocate and and you've spoken to a lot of people about um just the power of restore and and because you're because you're it's your story as well. Yeah. Why don't you share a little bit about that? Yeah. Um, I've actually had three sessions. Um the most memorable one for me was actually the last one. So not the one that he was talking about, but um the last one um involved um how I was hearing Jesus and um what I believed that he would say to me. Um I had um changed like the course of my life based off of what I thought God had said to me. Um and it was called out in that session that that was an ultimatum and he was threatening you, and it wasn't actually Jesus, but a demon disguised as Jesus, what we call Bart Jesus. Um and when we were able to deal with that and confront that and um get rid of him essentially, I was able to see Jesus of Nazareth for probably the first time I've ever, um, and like the most clearly I've ever seen him. Um I remember going to church for the first time after that session and being in worship and just going, Oh my, I knew you were good. I knew that there had to be something else, like I knew that that you were good. Um and so it just it changed the entire way that I even see him or talk to him and um just uh you know. Yeah. So for you it was a revelation of God's goodness. Yeah. You actually saw an accurate Jesus. Yeah, exactly. Or sometimes people see a distorted Jesus. Oh, for sure. Based on it on things they've experienced, and then again the enemy would capitalize and try to make his voice. We talked Sunday about how he doesn't come with a pitchfork and a red mask and a red suit, he comes as an angel of light. Yes, and master of his guide. Yes, and so many times deceives people, but you found freedom in the accuracy of who Jesus is, and uh it it changed your life, changed how you come to church, changed how you see everything. Exactly. And uh that's beautiful, and that's what God wants to do in people. You know, again, whether it's um a major infraction that happened in them, a wound, a big wound, gaping wound in their soul, um, or it's just, you know, there's been some disorientation in their life about Christianity and Jesus. I mean, this is such an opportunity for people to experience him in a real way. Yeah, Chris, I like how you shared that, you know, just a little bit of your story talking about that as you matured, you started to recognize certain things about your behavior, characteristics. And I think so often this as we grow up, as we mature, we start to we start to see those things, but we don't always know what the root of it is. Yes. And and so, you know, the importance of you know, being reminded of our identity, I love that you said that, that Jesus restored your identity in him. And uh I I think that it's important for us to realize that sometimes we don't even know what those wounds are. Um, we might not be able to like put put a finger on it, but when we give Jesus the opportunity to come in, when we when we, you know, invite the Lord into the moment and into the room with us, and we we have our hearts open to receive what he wants to reveal to us and to receive the healing that he wants to do in us. I think it's amazing, you know, just what we'll find out. Amen. Amen. Well, I know you shared a little bit with me on our ride-along. We had a lot of time to talk, and you talked a little bit about what restore is, what it looks like. Yep. You may have people that are thinking, man, I'm already bought in. I feel like this could help me, or I'd like to be involved in something like this, and we'll talk about that later. But um, if somebody came up to you and said, What is restore? What does it look like? Can you kind of give them an idea of that? Yeah, so restore is a it's like a model of prayer. I guess a way you come to the Lord, it involves a team and and a client. Now the team is made up of several roles. You have a team leader who usually does all the talking, and they're usually the one kind of navigating through the the course of the session, um, deciding which pathways we need to go down, and and it's all spirit-led. Yes. Right? But the leader is the one kind of being the mouthpiece there. Sure. Um in the background, you have other people that are there to help that one client, right? You have some something we call discerners there, and there's intercessors there. And there can be multiple of each. Um the biggest session I've been in is eight people working on one client. And you know, we just give the time that it takes to do the session. Usually an introduction with some worship music, we pray your blessing over the team, over the the session itself, and um we kind of just jump right into it. People we ask the Lord to reveal what they want or what he wants that client to work on in that session, and then um work through the process of the forgiveness and then renouncing the demonic pressure that's attached to it. Right. And the team members play like a critical role in that they're hearing from the Lord. Um sometimes it's a word, sometimes there's big red flags that come up, and the those team members are all helping the leader, directing the leader on like, hey, this is what we need to work on right now, right? I I feel like there's a lot of fear in the situation, and like there's different demons that can be identified by the team. So it really is a team effort to bring that one client into freedom. And you know, it it does take some time, it's not like a one-and-done show um at the altar, like I said, some prayers. It's this is I would, you know, you you mentioned a hospital earlier, right? There's like uh an ER visit where you gotta go and get a quick little patch up because you burned yourself or you cut yourself. Um, sometimes there's like group sessions where like, hey, we're gonna do group um physical therapy together and stuff like that. Well, this sort of ministry, I would liken it more like a surgery. Sure. Right? It's a deep inner healing mission, and we're going in to cut out the rot, everything that's been you know, festering maybe for years, and we're working on healing a wound and then restoring it back to you know what God intended. Absolutely. So when somebody signs up and we'll talk about that, but they it's one session to start with. You start with one. Sometimes people, like Michaela said, she had three, I've had two. It's not it's that's not even a one and done. There's you know, lots of healing that needs to happen. Sometimes it doesn't happen in a three-hour session. You might need follow-up, four, five, six, whatever it takes, right? But the team is there and committed and willing to walk through that with a person to bring them to that healing. Then you got people that have been healed that are ministering to people who are healing, and that's a beauty, beautiful thing. Yes, because it's not like you're looking at somebody and receiving ministry from somebody that doesn't identify with what you've walked through. But a lot of these team members have gone through it because they've had things in their life and their heart that they need healed of, need freedom of, and then they're able, it almost gives them like an authority, you know, a spiritual authority to minister to others because they can identify with them. And it's uh I think that's that's important. I think too, the approach um absolutely sounds um, you know, effective being in a room with multiple believers that are praying and have a common, a common goal in mind, you know, um, to see this person experience healing and restoration. And um, and so I I I like I'm intrigued by the by the approach of uh you know what you said, having you've got dedicated people who are intercessors, dedicated people who are trying to discern what God's doing in the room and um and in this person. And I think that you know, taking that approach definitely can open open your eyes more in the moment. And I've had the pleasure of being in multiple different roles now. Um back in 2020, Mikael and I started serving as team members, and so we had four years of um about every month we would serve on a session, and you know, I found myself sometimes in the discerner role, sometimes in an intercessor role, and then more recently um developing the skills to be a leader in sessions. And through each one, like you, your eyes are opened every time to the power of the Lord and like the goodness that he has for his children. That's awesome. That's awesome. In fact, I know people are listening right now that are thinking, man, I need that. You know, um, some people go through their entire life and um even though they love the Lord, right? They have a heart for God, they show up, um, they go through all the mechanical things that a Christian would go through, but um, if they've if that's not been dealt with, um, they're still carrying the undergirding of pain and and uh sorrow and and even the enemy can use that to get into our emotions, right? And uh really affect us. Even like you said, some of those things, I mean, your emotions were affected, your soul. The mind, will, and you know, the mind, will, and emotions of of your life were were being affected. And um, you know, it it kept you from things. And now you're able, you and Michaela both are able to experience things that you couldn't have experienced with those wounds there. And um, man, if there's people listening, I pray that it awakens their heart and their hunger for freedom. Because uh sometimes the enemy will lie to them and say, Well, this is you just gotta deal with it. You know, this is your lot in life, you've walked through this, and this is just the way it is. And God never says that. You know, in fact, I love the scripture. I I was reading this before we came on, is in Joel 2.25, God will restore with the locusts of Eden, right? He's a restoring God. This is speaking about recovery, healing, restoration of things in your life that have been lost or destroyed. And there may be people listening thinking, you know, my life will never be the same again because I went through abuse, or because this happened to me, or because my dad walked out of me, or or whatever it is, and and God wants to interrupt them, uh, the lies that they're hearing with the truth that says God says, No, I can restore, I can put back. And uh man, I just love hearing your stories. And um, let me just ask you this because I think mo maybe both of you can speak to this, but um so you received, but then you became team members and uh just like we're setting up here, um but I would ask you what are some of the changes that you've seen in people who've gone through Restore, whether it's a session or multiple sessions, but they're they're kind of getting to that place where they've come through Restore. What are some of the changes you've seen? Well, just personally, what changed in me? I would say the most noticeable noticeable thing was the competitive, like overly competitive drive that I had was instantly gone. Wow, like the performance. Yeah, I didn't have the desire or that insatiable desire to please people anymore. And that has stayed to this day. Like I no longer I consider like pre and post restore session, Chris. Wow. And there's like my it's like my personality shifted. Wow. If I can't say speak to that too, you're less angry. Way less angry. A lot less angry. He's to say, look, maybe I need anger management classes. Um and after the restore session, I mean you still get angrier person. Um, but it is it's not it's not anything like it was. It's it's more of a upset than angry, situationally upset. But I don't feel like I'm out of. Control and it's not me pulling the strings anymore, right? Like it there was something in me before that was broken and it would surface when you know I would be triggered by something. Yeah. And it was laying under the surface the whole time. It was uncontrollable rage, and I I really feared I would hurt somebody. Wow. So there's been a complete transformation. For me. Yeah. Yeah. And you've seen that in others. I guess I can't really speak to everyone else's sessions, right? When they come in for a session, I may never see them again. Sure. Um too, um restore is such a gentle process that and such a confidential process. I love that. Um like you can go into a session and just hear people like completely open up to you and then see them in church the next week and not know what their session was about. We call it a holy amnesia. It's it's like God's way of keeping everything confidential. Wow. I love that you just said that. That's such an important thing for people to hear. Because some people may be lumbero vulnerable with this, and this is something I've not told anybody, kind of like you. And you're thinking, man, I don't know if I want to do this because of that. That you said there's strict confidence with the team. There is. I make um sign things too. Yep. I love that. Yep. And then sometimes people will come back to me and they'll be like, Hey, you were in my last session. Do you remember when we did this? And I was like, No, no, really, don't. I mean, you look familiar, but that's it. Wow. Because you said the holy amnesia kind of sets in. Lord allows you to forget because he's the one working on them anyway. That's good. I think there's a lot of blessing in that too, because you don't want to carry other people's burdens, right? That was meant for Jesus when he placed it upon him. It truly is just upon him now. Yeah, the team doesn't carry that back. Right. They're just instruments. Yep. Exactly. Yep. Yeah, that's awesome. That's awesome. Um, so maybe if there's people listening, um, I think a great question for you guys maybe to weigh in on or you know, we can talk about is what does true restoration look like? And why do you believe it's possible for anyone? Because there's some I know already that are thinking to themselves as they're hearing this, my situation is different. You know, I have all this baggage, I have all this pain and wounds. And man, even this week, I've talked to people that I'm like, oh man, you've walked through it. Try to listen and be compassionate. But I know in addition to that, the enemy would say, you're you're not Chris, you're not Michaela, you're you know, you're not this person, your your situation is different, and almost makes you feel like that um you're the only one that's went to this degree of pain or wound or sorrow or whatever. And um why would you say the process is possible for anyone and and what would uh what would that look like for them? I'll let Michaela speak first on that one. Um I like to quote like the psalmist that says that um not sure forget the benefits of the Lord that who forgives all of your sins and heals all of your diseases, um, including your wounds. And if he can forgive everything, then he can heal everything. And I've seen him do it. Amen. It's not just for um it's not for small things, it's for the deep things too. Amen. It's for the deep things. That's powerful. That's powerful. I would say as long as they have the desire to come and truly hear from the Lord and to actually work on the thing that he wants to work on, right? Then true healing can come about. There's been some sessions where I would say I would categorize them as unsuccessful simply because the client wasn't willing to work on it. It's all about surrender. Sure. You have to surrender that situation, the whatever you brought into that room, you have to be able to hand it over, talk about it, and heal from it. There's some people that, and like me, I almost stood and walked out entirely. But if I had, let's say, lied and said, Oh, he he's thinking of he wants me to work on this instead, I wouldn't have seen the healing that I got that night. Yeah. So it takes a vulnerability and it takes a willingness to work on the real issue in order to see the freedom that you know we're hoping for. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. I think partnering, you know, partnering a ministry like restore with a church, you know, is is so important. Like because we've got, you know, we've got the church that's really walking through a lot of the like consistent discipleship process and like um developing that the Holy Spirit's doing in a person and who they are as a believer. And then you give them the opportunity to go and you know have these sessions where they can really start to identify things, but but they've got uh they've got a basis, a foundation of faith in the Lord. And you know, they're starting to get some understanding of how God works and that He is capable, you know, of uh of healing and He is capable of redemption. And and so then they step into an opportunity like that, and and and I think that it it creates a moment where they can be true about what you know, they can be true and honest and open and face those things that the Holy Spirit's highlighting that that God wants to heal. That's awesome. Yes. I um I man, I'm sitting here thinking to myself, so many people that could use this, right? Um people that are walking the spiritual walk and yet triggered by things, or they haven't got over that divorce, or they haven't got through that you know situation they've they've walked through. And and um again, there may they may be in a life change group, they may be studying the Bible, and and it it's not minimizing any of that. It's just realizing as you guys talked about, it's a spirit-led ministry, people are being spirit-led. When you introduce a session, you're saying, Holy Spirit, reveal things today. And he's one that guides us into all truth. And um there's some things that um people are holding on to or people are gripping, you know, that uh that they've not let go of yet, or it's just something that they've tried to bury. And they think if I throw enough dirt on it, it'll go away. And we know that that ache never goes away and that pain never goes away, that sorrow. It can if they surrender to Jesus. And um, and I know that's exactly what the process is. There's not uh, you know, I think it's important to demystify it. It's not strange, it's not weird, it's just you're getting together with people that love you, that care for you in the spirit, that um are inviting you into a process that they've been through, where they've experienced freedom, and and they're calling on God to reveal to that person what they need to let go of, what they need to work on, what they need healed of. And then we invite that same Holy Spirit that's identified it into the process of healing. And man, if we believe God can heal anything, like you said, um, then there's no limit to what you've walked through and what you can experience. And um, man, I'm I'm excited because, and I know we have, you know, I think of our church, we have celebrate freedom that meets on Sunday morning, and it's it's an amazing ministry that happens on Sunday morning where they give them breakfast and and um and love on these people that have come out of incarceration, or maybe they've come out of addiction and still walking through addiction, and I love that. We have navigating freedom that meets on Wednesday nights, and it's very um they walk through um um like this uh this curriculum that's that's helpful and it's really been a blessing to people. And um, and then obviously restore, and I think, man, God is equipping us. If I'm thinking about building a Super Bowl team, I begin to think about these different ministries that are gonna help us um develop not only just followers of Jesus, um, but healed followers of Jesus that that are living their lives differently because we believe in the radical transformation of the gospel and what God can do. And so I I can't, man, I can't be encouraged enough to think about the vision that predated me that God gave a lady in our church that I've been marinating for since I've been here over over 15 years now, and to see that God's actually beginning to put people in seats that are gonna help us, um, leadership roles to help us become that that regional trauma center. I mean, as good as the things God has done, I just I know it's just the tip of the iceberg because there's a lot of hurting people in our community. And I know you see that. I mean, I go on ride-alongs and I shared with our church before that I can't tell you how many ride-alongs I've been on, been in on that I get in my car down at the law enforcement center driving home, and I just weep because of the things I've seen and things I've experienced that you guys see every day. And uh realizing the need for the gospel, the only thing that's gonna change people's hearts is the gospel, is the Holy Spirit going in and doing surgery on people's hearts and lives. So I love that. I love that. Um anything else that's just in your heart that maybe you'd like to say about uh about restore that maybe you want people to know? Um, because I know we're gonna start promoting it and we're gonna make it even more clear to our church. But if there's things like, hey, I want people to know this, if I lead them to the podcast to listen to this, or people pastors are listening and maybe they're thinking, well, hey, I'd like to know about restore, um, what would you want them to know? I would say by and large, we want to know it's not like what they see like on TV, right? It's not yes, the important thing about teaching teaching about restore is teaching what it's not. Yes, and it's not violent, it's not crazy, it's not um abnormal, really. We don't see a lot of manifestations, we don't um we don't get hurt in sessions, and it's not like we're bringing holy water and uh sure and a rosary into a room right and screaming at somebody. No, it's um it's a very gentle process. She said it once before. Very gentle. Um there's one saying we use all the time is with gentle authority, and and that was in the kid's heart. That is um from the beginning of our training. That's been what a common theme is hey, this is this is like a normal thing, is people healing, right? It's not yeah, it doesn't have to be a spectacle. Jesus is a gentleman, he does not need to re-traumatize you to heal you. That is so good. That is so good. Well, even sometimes I think cultural uh charismatic churches can sometimes get into here's what I envision it to be. And it's almost like we we we make it that that has nothing to do with the Lord, right? Yeah, um, because when I see, and I and I've talked about this with our people before, is when you see the Lord dealing with any demonic thing in scripture, it's never this like major struggle or circus. No, it is a simple, to your point, gentle authority, deal with it and and and bring healing. And um, and I love that you're saying that because some people may when they first hear about like the demonic strongholds and stuff, they automatically may go, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute. I've been traumatized, or I've seen this, or I've been, I've been the center of a spectacle at times. And and I I love that we're saying, hey, no, that's not what it is. It's uh it's a process that's healthy, it it and and and the healthy environments bring healing, right? Yeah when we invite the Holy Spirit in. And I I love I love that you said that because that's important for people to know. Absolutely. I know that we're gonna start promoting uh restore at our church, but how would uh how what would be the best way for people to get more information about it or to get in touch if they're interested in getting involved or or having a session? What would that look like? So through the church app, there's the uh I think there's a whole entire group in there now, restore group. Um you can find us on there. I think there's gonna be a QR code coming out here pretty quick uh whenever we get our um initial video, yeah, video launched, and um everybody can see it kind of for the first time. Hopefully the QR code's ready to go. It should bring you to the link. Either it's I don't want to sign up for a session because I need this, or yeah, I think this is something I really would be interested in working in. Um we are looking for team members right now. There is a um there's a training process, right? It's not gonna be like day one, get in here and we're gonna throw you in the mix. Sure. Um there's again there's an online portion first online training you got to complete. And then it's slowly bringing into sessions, let you um kind of find your role on the team and and really listen for God to like elevate those gifts in your spiritual gifts, and you start practicing using those. And um eventually, you know, you get to the point where you're really comfortable like sharing what the Lord has given you in a session, and it can be vital to uh you know the healing that needs to take place that night. And you might have that one nugget that you know the Lord gave you that turned out to be the entire thing that wow tipped the apple cart that night. So yeah, um, yeah, I think whether it's you want to serve or you want a session, we're gonna be around, we're around every Sunday. And um it's either face to face, you can I think there's an email address on there that you can reach out to. So you know, there's a well, there's a way. Reach out, we'll be happy to speak with you about either one of those. Yep. And when we get the video out in QR code, I think that Sunday we plan on putting a table in the four-year. Yep. For people if they have any questions, if you know they they want to ask more, you know, about being involved. But I would say that I know this is gonna probably drop the end of June. We talked about maybe doing this a little earlier versus the other one, but um uh when this drops, um, you know, my heart would be that um people begin to pray about like if if if God's called me to be a vessel to help others, maybe I've already walked through healing. And um, man, I'd love to be part of that. I'd love to be kind of a medic in in the hospital. I'd love to be a life giver in the hospital. Um, obviously it's an opportunity. We're talking about it right now in our series, but an opportunity to demonstrate the spiritual gifts. Like, you know, the Bible says that he distributes as he wills, and you may be in that session and you're a spirit-filled believer, you love the Lord, and you're trying to help somebody, and and the Lord may, to your point, drop a nugget. Could be a word of wisdom, word of knowledge, could be, hey, I'm supposed to pray for healing for this or whatever, and and uh, and man, just an opportunity for God to use you supernaturally. And uh, and that's what we believe. We believe in that. We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, and I know that the spearhead of that ministry is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has to go those places and reveal and help discover and and ultimately bring healing and uh uses people around us, uses the body of Christ. And I love how the body of Christ is like our physical body, like our body heals itself. Uh, the body of Christ can help bring healing to that person in the body of Christ. And uh it's awesome. So um, so two tracks there. I want to be involved in helping. I want to be a prayer warrior, and I know we have a lot of them, and I'm I'm believing God's gonna continue to raise up leaders, a team. And uh, when you're thinking of team, do you have any idea of how many people you're thinking about? Um goal. Like I know it's not right now, but you're talking like long term down the road. I think uh it's not it's not unrealistic to expect to have two sessions going simultaneously in the church every single week, maybe at if we get to the point two different days a week. Yep, you know, so we're running maybe four a week. Each one's gonna require anywhere from four, maybe six team members. So there's a need for a lot of help. I wouldn't really want to put a limit on it either because I don't want to burn out uh team members either. I would like to give them a rotation so they don't have to come every week. Sure. You're honoring people that way. Yep. Um the other thing is you're from my understanding, you're doing it kind of off of service times. So you talked about a Sunday night and maybe a different plan during the week, sometime trying to work with people's schedules. Um just the way like our life is right now, Sunday nights are work for perfect. Um the church already has the rear the room reserved and everything on Sundays. So um, you know, if you can make it on a Sunday night, you know, we'd be happy to sharing in. Absolutely. And then the other part would be, hey, I need this. And I I do believe when this starts getting out, and then the word gets out of, hey, I went through this, I think it's I think it's gonna be, I think it's gonna be like a wildfire, you know, and people are gonna want to be part of that and get help that way. And um, so there'll be a place I you know, I know I know we're information inundated in our world, but we'll make sure that you know that people know how to get on those one of two tracks. Yeah, I need help, I want to be part of it. So absolutely. Well, as we start to wrap up here, Chris, would you be willing um just to pray for those that are listening? Um, maybe those that are God's even speaking to them now that this is something that they need to either be involved in or um or partake in. Yeah, absolutely. Uh dear Lord, thank you for a new beginnings. Thank you for the opportunity to serve in this capacity, and I ask that you go before us and prepare the way every step of the way. Yes. There's lots of people out there that need healing, lots of people that are willing to uh raise their hand and say, I want to be a part of this ministry and this team. And Lord, I just pray that wherever the listeners are today, whether it's in their car or in their house, or you know, they're laying in their bed looking at their phone, Lord, uh, I just come meet with them where they are and give them a word of encouragement. And um, you know, if this is for them, Lord, I I pray that they begin to feel that right now and be willing to accept that. I pray for the future of the ministry over over the entire church, Lord. We want this to be something um that you lead, yes, that uh that you can use to better your kingdom, and that many, many people can come to true restoration in Christ because of this ministry. Uh we ask that as we go, uh we make wise decisions along the way, and uh we keep this to be a beacon of light in our community. Yes. In your name, amen. Amen. Thanks, guys. Well, thank you for joining us this time on the Leading Life Change podcast. We'll catch you in the next one.
