Welcome to Fantasy Football with the Dork in the Do. Welcome.
SPEAKER_03All right. Welcome to Fantasy Football with the Dork and the Doo. Where can they find us out there in the inner tubes?
SPEAKER_01Um, let's see. Apple Podcasts, YouTube, of course, um, Amazon, iHeartStitcher, Google, and Spotify.
SPEAKER_03You nailed it. Thanks, Dork. All right. Uh we're gonna kick this off. Uh uh you kick it off, uh, Dork, because you got looks like a little more extensive research than me. And uh we're gonna cover quarterbacks and tight ends.
SPEAKER_01We're gonna give you top ten and sleepers and maybe just weigh in on some others.
SPEAKER_03Sure.
SPEAKER_01Or thoughts. Yeah. Um, first, before I get going, the most important the best advice I can give you on fantasy, follow the camp news and adjust your rankings and thoughts accordingly. Definitely. And without bias. Because camps are starting soon, and you know, you gotta be on it. Part of uh part of winning is is uh listening. Find there's sources all over the internet.
SPEAKER_03Um NFL Network.
SPEAKER_01NFL Network has a rundown every day of each team, so dial it in. Okay, uh quarterbacks first. Uh the number one should be obvious to everyone. It's Josh Allen. That's who I got. I mean, he the past six years in uh non-PPR scoring and probably PPR. I didn't look at that, but he's been either first or second. Uh yeah in quarterback fantasy.
SPEAKER_03I heard some stat that in most formats he's been top three the last three years.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03In the last three years, he's had 15, 12, and 14 rushing touchdowns.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, exactly. And he's not, he there's nothing about his numbers that are fading. The only thing that might concern me a little is the past two years, his uh attempts in yardage is down some, but he's still by far, with his running, the best uh fantasy QB.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01And if that if the if the passing goes up with Brady as uh the coach, uh so much the better for him.
SPEAKER_03And he's uh uh got DJ Moore now. Yeah, he's got some. He's probably got a couple years left in him, I'm thinking, Dore.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, oh yeah. DJ Moore is still uh on the right side of 30, I believe. So um, yeah, he's uh he's a good he's a good get.
SPEAKER_03Um this will be the best quarterback he's played with.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And uh, oh, and I read that Keon Coleman is ready to roll again. Haven't we heard that for three years now? Uh he's off my draft board. Um yeah, okay, but Josh Allen is the number one guy. I agree. Um yeah, there's just no question. So after that, I I just have what, and I'm gonna put them in order, but the next eight guys, I kind of have bunched together. Sure. As and they're basically described as players, if they stay healthy all year, and with some of them it's a bigger if than others, you can expect 4,000 plus yards and 30 plus touchdowns. And a few rushing. And a few rushing. Some of them a few rushing, some of them maybe not, but those ones are, you know, they'll be passing enough that that um you won't worry about that. Uh number two, I have Joe Burrow. I do too. Okay, oh, we're agreeing, dude.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, uh the only uh issue, of course, is him staying healthy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03The last time he played a full season, he was ripping it up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, he was. He's uh he's got the weapons. Uh they're gonna be in some shootouts with that defense. And um, yeah, I just, you know, given all the other quarterbacks, I would take him second. I agree. Number three sounds like a reach. It's uh Jared Goff. Okay.
SPEAKER_03I'm he's I don't have him in my top ten, but he probably should be.
SPEAKER_01He's a safe, steady guy. He every each of the past six years, he's thrown for 45 at least, or one year he was just under, but 4,500 yards ever since that Detroit offense really kicked in. He's uh gonna be 32 this year, which isn't an age I'm gonna worry about him just yet. Sure. Declining. Uh he's durable, plays every game.
SPEAKER_03I think he threw 31 touchdowns last year.
SPEAKER_01Over 30 touchdowns every year, 32 and a half is his average over four years. And there are three quarterbacks who have been top 10 in fantasy each of the last four years. That's Josh Allen, of course, uh Jalen Hurts, and Jared Goff is the other. I hear you. So if you like stability, if you want to feel safe with your quarterback, target Jared Goff.
SPEAKER_03And you can get him cheap if you decide to wait on QB because he'll give you enough production to keep you close to the people above him. Yes, yes.
SPEAKER_01And um, in in uh the draft leagues where you bid on players, he he's a hell of a bargain to me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the auction drafts.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I've got number three, uh, my boy Matt Stafford.
SPEAKER_01Matt Stafford, okay.
SPEAKER_03He only threw for 46 touchdowns last year.
SPEAKER_01You know what the thing with him is, and I got I got him seventh, but he's sort of, like I said, he's in a group where they're all kind of together. Right. But I had to put him in some sort of order.
SPEAKER_03I've seen rankings where uh clowns had him down around 11.
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_03He's and what the fuck?
SPEAKER_01There's no freaking way. Didn't he lead lead all quarterbacks in yards and touchdowns last year, or at least was near the top? Yeah. And he shows no sign of slowing down. He's with uh an offensive guru. Yep. Um they got they have good weapons.
SPEAKER_03Their defense is gonna be shut and down.
SPEAKER_01Is gonna give him field position. Yep. And turnovers. And turnovers. I mean, this, yeah, that's a no-brainer. I have him seventh, but um I I have no problem with him being third. And I looked one thing I looked at, he's missed only three games in the past three years, something like that. Uh-huh. And some of those may have been the last game where they set him out for the playoffs. Yeah. I'm not sure on that one, but he has not missed a lot of time. Now, downside, he's 37 or 38. And he has back problems. He has he has those back problems, but you couldn't tell the past three years.
SPEAKER_03Dude almost throws for 5,000 and 46 TDs. Yeah. Uh the reason I think he's uh uh being ranked so low after the last year is everyone expects regression.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh and let's say he regresses and only throws 41.
SPEAKER_0141 touchdowns and 4,500 yards. Yeah. That's still pretty damn good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it is.
SPEAKER_01He ain't gonna run any in for you, but no, but that you know, you gotta make your trade-off somewhere.
SPEAKER_03I'll leave I'll lead off with my number four, Dor. Let's hear it. Uh I got where is he? I got my boy Trevor Lawrence last year. 29 TDs, nine uh passing, nine rushing, and he's in the second year of the system.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I I I I like him. I have him at number nine. He he's in that group. Um, you know, we keep saying it's now or never for him, but he really he blossomed pretty well under Cone last year. Yeah, he did. And um, you know, I I expect more improvement. He's more familiar with the team.
SPEAKER_03Yep, and those nine rushing touchdowns.
SPEAKER_01Nine rushing touchdowns, that might be a fluke, but it might be a feature of the way Cone runs things.
SPEAKER_03I think he was third or fourth in our league scoring.
SPEAKER_01I believe it. I have him ninth. I I I I agree. I have no problem with him at fourth. My fourth is Drake May.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I got him number six.
SPEAKER_01Okay, he uh he really busted out last year. MVP candidate. Yep. Um I do expect some regression because the schedule is going to be tougher. He had a real tough Super Bowl. Yeah. Um, but um their offensive line looked like a sin. Yeah, this is a third-year guy who's just he I I think he should at least match what he did or come close to it, which was something like 4,300 and 30 TDs.
SPEAKER_0331 TDs passing, four rushing.
SPEAKER_01Okay. And the rushing could pick up because he uh he is a young guy who runs and yeah. So he's my number four.
SPEAKER_03And he gets it uh AJ Brown.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he gets he does have an upgrade on the receiving core. Big time. And they drafted an offensive lineman first round, and they should the offensive line should improve. Yeah. Uh we'll see if that's gonna be a thing, but it should.
SPEAKER_03Their number one receiver last year, I think, was Mac Hollins.
SPEAKER_01Matt's yeah, yeah. Getting a number one like AJ Brown was is a big deal. Definitely. That's for you, Drake. Uh number five, I have Dak Prescott. I've got him five as well.
SPEAKER_03He he's another guy who he saved what was left of my team last year.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he um he's just solid. Again, he's like golf, but a little more injury prone. That's why he's a little behind. But you can put him down for 4,500 yards and 30 plus TDs if he's healthy.
SPEAKER_03He had 30 passing last year, two rushing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and he isn't much of a runner, but um, yeah.
SPEAKER_03But uh, best case scenario, he might run three or four in.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he might. And um he might rap it. He's just solid, you know. As long as he stays healthy, there's no worries. I agree. And he's got weapons. Who's your six?
SPEAKER_03Six uh was Drake May.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. Mine is uh Caleb Williams. I got him eight. Um in his uh if you prorate his last six games, including the two playoff games, uh, over 17 games, 4,600 yards, 32 TDs. Yep.
SPEAKER_03So he's in the second year of the system.
SPEAKER_01Second year of Ben Johnson's system. Uh he really gotta tighten up the accuracy. You think? You know, it's like if he could just make a layup, as they say, well, the easy passes. He's gotta get up around 60% completion rate. He does. And um what was it last year? 54%. Uh 58%, I want to say.
SPEAKER_03Okay, he should be up to 62.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But um but I like him. He's wildly talented. He's playing for one of the best offensive minds in in the uh league. I worry about their schedule. I worry about their schedule. I worry about uh I I just worry about a lot. You know, we were we were you know talking about Dan Quinn in Washington last year after their big year, and now we you know we have the Bears who almost beat the Rams in the playoffs. And uh did the Panthers. So did the Panthers, yeah. And um there could you it's it's a big unknown, but he we know he's talented. We all saw what he could do in crunch time, so I have him as my number six.
SPEAKER_03Plenty of weapons.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. Who's your number six?
SPEAKER_03Uh I told you it was Drake May.
SPEAKER_01Oh, Drake May. How about uh seven?
SPEAKER_03Uh I got Jalen Hurts. He had 25 TDs, uh passing, eight rushing. Uh he'll finish top eight.
SPEAKER_01He probably will, but I am worried about him, so I have him actually tied for 10th. Okay. I I am just concerned about the fact he wasn't running as much.
SPEAKER_03Me too.
SPEAKER_01Uh but he had eight rushing touchdowns. He did. He did. That's no better than that. No. And he's still just 40. You know, you're right. Um, okay. Uh my seven is Matthew Stafford, who's your seven. Oh, Hertz. Never mind. Yep. Uh my eight is Brock Purdy.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Uh I've got Brock Purdy's a sleeper. Okay. He didn't quite make my top ten. Okay. Um my number eight is uh, like I said, Caleb.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Um Brock Purdy, if he plays, stays healthy the whole year. He is gonna, you know, again, he should pass for 4,000 yards.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And uh 28 touchdowns. 28 TDs. And with him and all of San Francisco, the injuries have been an issue.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and uh, but uh he does he will run as well. He might get you five rushes.
SPEAKER_01He's a scrambler, yeah. He uh he's a he's a good guy to have. Um okay, and you're you had number nine?
SPEAKER_03Number nine. Bo Nicks. Okay. 25 touchdowns, uh passing, five rushing, and he gets uh Jalen Waddle.
SPEAKER_01He gets Jalen Waddle. He another year with the uh with the snipe and um the gut yeah.
SPEAKER_03I'm I'm a little worried about the ankle, but they say that he's gonna be okay.
SPEAKER_01So yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um but you're anytime you break your ankle, it's uh and you're you're kind of a running quarterback, it's gonna hurt.
SPEAKER_01The first year back from the injury is always the toughest. Um he seems like the worker who's gonna be ready.
SPEAKER_03So Gutter Snipe wouldn't let him do otherwise.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't uh I wouldn't put him in my top ten, though.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I guess.
SPEAKER_01He just didn't make the cut. I do like him, but I can see it.
SPEAKER_03Well, I'm I'm projecting 30 touchdowns, passing, and six rushing.
SPEAKER_01Okay. That's solid. Solid. My number nine is our guy Trevor. And um number 10, I have a tie. I mentioned Hertz, and the other one is Lamar Jackson. Okay. I'm just really worried about both of them rushed a lot less last year. And it's more a statement that I'm gonna let someone else draft one of these guys. Me too. Um, that that's my feeling about both of them.
SPEAKER_03I I said I wasn't gonna draft Lamar last year and didn't. Yeah. Of course I had the misfortune of drafting Joe Burrow. Yeah. Uh my number 10 is Justin Herbert. Okay. It's the Mike McDaniel factor.
SPEAKER_01Okay, that could be. I mean, I've I've kind of settled in as uh Herbert is what he is. Um 3,500 to 4,000 yards, 25 TDs, and not much rushing. Sure. So probably an injury that they whisper about that's you know slowing them down more.
SPEAKER_03The cat the cat is injury proof.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh and and it seems like every injury he gets it's a new body part.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03I mean, it was his hand at the end of the year last year. Yep. I uh the dude was inactive for the last two games, I think.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh, but I think uh this is the year that uh uh Herbert bust through and and is considered a a top ten guy.
SPEAKER_01Okay. It wouldn't surprise me with McDaniel there. Yeah. And um I do like their their pass catchers.
SPEAKER_03I mean look what he did for Tua. We'll see uh if when Tua had like his best season, we'll see if it was him or McDaniel.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh with Atlanta this year.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay, uh how about some sleepers, Gord?
SPEAKER_01Okay, I um so there's a quarterback.
SPEAKER_02Oh God, here we go again, Dorgalurg who played sparingly each of the past two years.
SPEAKER_01Okay, combined 89 attempts, but he completed over 78% of his passes and posted a higher QBR than any other quarterback in the league. Malik Willis? Malik Willis. Now he's on Miami, a team that tore it down and is rebuilding. Yeah, they're they're gonna be playing with a lot of scrubs. And I am not gonna be drafting the dude. Right.
SPEAKER_03Because we not even is your number two for upside.
SPEAKER_01It depends who I get as my number one. Gotcha. You know, so if it's Jared Goff, I might I might roll the dice on him. But um, I mean he has been spectacular when he played the past two years. And if he's your number two, even you could maybe spot start him. Yeah, and and if if he sucks the first week, I'll just shut him and pick up someone else. Yeah. You know? Um, but that's that's my first one.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Uh my first one is uh my boy Baker the touchdown maker.
SPEAKER_01Okay, he wasn't much of a touchdown maker last year. He was hurt.
SPEAKER_03He was hurt. His shoulder was trash.
SPEAKER_01And you know, when he's healthy, he's solid.
SPEAKER_03He went out there and played hurt. Yeah. And that's why his numbers uh were terrible. No, I get it. They should have just set the sun bitch down.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. I I I get it. Um, you know, he's yeah, no, he's uh let's say about 3132 now.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and he's uh uh the year before he had an awesome year. He finished uh he was like third in our league scoring.
SPEAKER_01He was he had his best year. I wish I would have grabbed him. Damn it, damn it. Um yeah, I I I can't argue with him as a sleeper. I didn't put him down. Okay. Because I'm just wondering, I mean, Tampa Bay seem it seems like they might be circling the drain. I mean, bulls kind of exploded on the team last year. Yeah, he did. And that's never good for Morale.
SPEAKER_03And it was uncharacteristic because the guy's uh soft spoken.
SPEAKER_01The guy has been a good coach. Yeah, he is. I mean, he He should be a defensive coordinator. Yeah, he survived again, but he survived. He he was in the New York. That should give uh Titans fans hope. You know, that um for for Salah that okay, New York means nothing with the Jets. Yeah, it's a dumpster fire. Yeah. Um, but uh yeah, he's done a good job with Tampa, and uh, you know, we'll see where it goes. I just they have a circle in the drain look about him.
SPEAKER_03I I can't argue with that. But is my number two with uh and if he uh if he stays healthy and takes off?
SPEAKER_01I can't argue that the upside isn't there. That's why he's a sleeper. Okay. Um any others?
SPEAKER_03Uh I had Brock Purdy's a sleeper.
SPEAKER_01Brock Purdy, you mentioned that.
SPEAKER_03I got Jackson Dart.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I I get that. He had he had nine rushing touchdowns.
SPEAKER_03Nine rushing touchdowns, and he didn't play the whole season. Right. That dude could uh be like a Jalen Hurts and put up 13 or something. 13. Or uh Josh Allen. Uh and he's got a better coach.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh uh, he's got weapons. And so Jackson Dart's worth the dart road, Dork.
SPEAKER_01Yes. I decided I like Shuck the best of the second year guys. I got him. I like them all, but um on some level. But if I had to pick one as my number two, it would be Shuck.
SPEAKER_03Uh-oh. Let's continue, Dor. Something happened.
SPEAKER_01Something happened. I didn't hit anything. Okay. You didn't nudge it with your elbow? No. Okay. Um, okay.
SPEAKER_03So I got Shuck if first polar year in uh Kellen Moore's system.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yes, exactly. I I I have a lot of faith in Kellen Moore. So do I. Um, so I have Deshaun Watson down. I can't go there. I get it, but he's in a contract year, and let's see what happens.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I guess he's worth a dart, bro.
SPEAKER_01Especially in deep leagues. So let me ask you about get your thoughts on some some guys. Justin Fields, if he's a starter in KC at the beginning of the year, like the first uh few weeks before Mahomes back. Do you think I mean we know Mahomes is gonna take over, if not week one, very soon after that. Sure. But do you think do you think he could his ru between his running and being with Andy Reid, um you think he can uh um what am I trying to say? Uh I don't know perform in fantasy. I mean he's had he's he has a top ten year in his past, I believe. Yeah, I I just can't see that. Okay. Okay. I thought it was a good uh legit question to ask. Okay. Um and I'm not on board with that, Dorc. How about Mahomes? How do you feel about him?
SPEAKER_03I almost put him on as a sleeper. Okay. Uh because uh let's say he does start uh week one and uh uh Rasheed Rice uh says somehow gets his act together and uh uh Xavier Worthy is a year older. Well he separated his shoulder in week one running into Travis Kelsey, and and and the word is he was never the same the rest of the year.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03So he's he he'll be healthy. Yeah you still got uh old Ben Kelsey over the middle. Yeah so uh and we we know what the cat's capable of, best case scenario.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh yeah. I think he's the only guy if he's out there. I'd grab him as my second, but I don't think he will be. I hear you. And now how three more guys. Okay. All guys who have been top ten at least once in the last four years. Jaden Daniels, Jordan Love, and CJ Stroud. I think I know how you feel about Stroud, but go ahead. I hate him. Okay. All of them.
SPEAKER_03Uh well what uh who was it besides uh Jaden Daniels, Jordan Love, and CJ Stroud. I don't like any of those dudes. They're not gonna be on any of my teams. And I only have one team, Dorothy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I have I have doubts about all of them. Yeah, yeah. I agree. Yeah, they're just too uh uh uh risky. Yeah, they they like peaked their first year, and Daniels with he was injured. He's only in his third year. He's the one I'd take out of all of them.
SPEAKER_03We talked about it. He's as skinny as I am.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh uh, and he's gonna get busted up.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03First two years he got hurt.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03And and now we're going into year three.
SPEAKER_01Well, didn't he get hurt some in college too?
SPEAKER_03I think so. Yeah. So I worry about uh about the fact that he might be injury prone.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Okay, want to jump to any more QB thoughts?
SPEAKER_03Um, not really. Uh I think uh it's pretty deep this year. Uh so i if you're in a 12-team league, you're gonna get a decent starting quarterback. And as long as he stays healthy. And we're in an 8-team league, which means we're gonna have good backups too. So it's a it's just a deep year. Uh uh, of course, I I guess you say that every year, but we got all these young kids coming in and they're uh making their mark, like a Drake May and possibly a Bo Nicks and Shock and Any thoughts on uh Mendoza or any other rookies?
SPEAKER_01Won't touch a rookie QB. Obviously, Simpson you're not gonna touch. Um the only other one who might start is Carson Beck at Arizona, and I don't want any part of Arizona, no one does.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Brissett's got a contract dispute with those dudes, and I can't blame him. I think he's set to make 2.5 megan this year or something. When the cats be making 12, 14.
SPEAKER_01Hell yeah, let him roll.
SPEAKER_03Get him into camp.
SPEAKER_01Um and they're but what do you say?
SPEAKER_03It's a dysfunctional organization, Dor.
SPEAKER_01How about in Mendoza? I just don't see him starting right away. I think eventually he will be, but and then we'll go from there. Okay. So that's how I feel. Should we move on to tight ends?
SPEAKER_03Yes. I think we might have lost uh video, uh Dor.
SPEAKER_01Oh, really? It's the camera's off, it looks like. I don't see a light on it.
SPEAKER_03So I'm gonna reopen that. But if anything, we're gonna stay on Buzzsprout.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03And so we'll have audio uh of the pod, but uh we might have lost video. Okay. And if we did, I'm gonna restart it here. So let's just continue on, Dorster. Tight ends, who's your number one? Trey McBride. I I got him number two. Uh I'm putting Brock Bowers ahead of him if he can stay healthy and come back from his injury. I like Kirk Cousins will hit that dude all day.
SPEAKER_01I like how McBride I got McBride as my first because if you ask me who's the most likely tight end to go 100 receptions, 1,200 yards, 10 TDs. Yep, it's McBride.
SPEAKER_03I'm with you. He had 11 TDs last year. Yeah. But remember the two years previous that he had a two of three or two each year, I think. Four, yeah. And so people were down on him going, yeah, he puts up yards, but don't get in the end zone.
SPEAKER_01Well, Brissett found him. Yes, he did. Um, so he, I think he's I you know I wanted to put Colston Loveland at the top. My that uh he's my number three. But this is business, dude.
SPEAKER_03Uh I'm hearing you.
SPEAKER_00This is business, and this man has taken it very, very personal. It's not personal, Sonny. It's strictly business.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we're gonna start the video again, Dork. I don't know what we're gonna do with it, but uh, there you go. We are working out the the kinks. Yeah. My computer's on its last legs, people. Alright, so uh yeah, I've uh I've got Bowers, McBride, and then I got your boy Colston. Okay, I You know in the last four games he had 10 plus targets.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Yes, I do. Um I got Colston number two and Bowers number three, and I I I you could throw those guys in a hat. Throw them in a hat. I'll take any one of them. Sure.
SPEAKER_03Um either have McI'd have Colston, uh, to be honest with you, uh, just because of the injury concerns with Bowers.
SPEAKER_01And the offense.
SPEAKER_03And the offense. But Kirk Cousins, he's gonna score some points.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and um Loveland did have an injury last uh summer. That's why he had the slow start. Uh-huh. So in training campus. Yeah, and he had one at Michigan his senior year, too. I'm not sure it was the same one. Okay. Um, okay, who's your number four? Uh Tyler Warren. Yeah, me too. Um, he he great rookie year. He he's gonna be a force. He ran for a touchdown last year. Yeah, he's thrown from in college.
SPEAKER_03You're hoping uh Daniel Jones uh comes back from that Achilles uh uh at least 80%.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And uh Warren, I mean, with all his skills, he could become like Taysom Hill on steroids. Yeah, he could. It'd be fun to watch. Yeah, he ran one in last year, right? Yes. And he passed for one in college, I believe. He's passed.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, so uh they could get uh inventive with him.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I have a feeling we're gonna agree on number five, Tucker Kraft. Got him. Yeah. Um, again, he was killing it last year before the injury, and there are injury concerns.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he had uh he tore his ACL in November.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So he should be fine. He should be fine. He's you know, as long as he's healthy.
SPEAKER_03And it sounds like he's gonna get a contract extension before the season starts. That makes them happy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so they believe in him. Yep. Who's your number six? Uh Harold Fannon Jr. Me too. Okay. His numbers are not that far off of uh Lovelin's and Warren's as a rookie. Yeah, he was fifth in targets for tight ends. Yeah, exactly. And target for tight ends and wide receivers, targets are money. If you're getting the targets, that's the guy you want. Definitely. I mean, TDs come and go, but yeah, they have a better chance to pile them up if they get targets. That was awesome, Dor. Who's your number seven now? Uh maybe we can disagree. George Kittle. He's my number seven, too. Wow. He's just a side, even with missing a few games a year, he's good for seven, eight touchdowns. He gets a lot of catches. Yep. He might get you a couple of hundred-yard games. Exactly. He he's he's just a good player. He's gonna, now that the Niners seem to have a good set of receivers, he's gonna be he's gonna be open more in the middle. Um, yeah, I think he's uh I think I think he's gonna have a good year.
SPEAKER_03Uh he's coming off an Achilles, but hell, if you're gonna, if you can hike the Dolomites and shit after a uh Achilles Kittle can come back.
SPEAKER_01Kittle can come back and play football again. That's what I'm talking about. Uh number eight is uh my guy, Kyle Pitts. Got him. Really? He had career highs last year. He did. Um now I'm worried it was a contract push, but I mean the dude's still just 25, I think.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um and maybe they finally figured out how to use him. Maybe.
SPEAKER_03But I think Atlanta's a dysfunctional organization as well.
SPEAKER_01They are, yeah.
SPEAKER_03So that's a little scary.
SPEAKER_01Okay, um at 9 and 10, I have Laporta and Kincaid.
SPEAKER_03I thought about Laporta, but uh I'm scared of his back.
SPEAKER_01Boy, he has just declined.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, uh well, back injuries, uh uh, especially for tight ends, is tough. They're not good. Because you get squeezed. Uh I got two old guys at 9 and 10, Dork. I got Mark Andrews and Dallas Goddard.
SPEAKER_01Dallas Goddard had 11 TDs last year. I don't know if it's gonna be a new thing or a fluky thing. I have him as one of my sleepers because of that.
SPEAKER_03Well, you know, every year, uh for the last two or three years, I keep thinking, oh, Goddard's he's gonna go off the cliff and shit. And he finishes with 10 or 11 touchdowns.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And I look like a fool. Well, my thought on Laporte and Kincaid is both were recent high draftees. They've had their ups and downs, but the potential for bust out is there. Sure.
SPEAKER_03So and I went with Mark Andrews because now likely's gone. And he's an old guy that just keeps chugging.
SPEAKER_01Right, right. And Lamar loves them. It's not like he got great receivers there. So yeah.
SPEAKER_03You got Zay Flowers.
SPEAKER_01I got um, so I got some in my sleepers or other guys I draft. I got some old guys, some young guys, some in between. I have Goddard. I have Jake Ferguson from Dallas just because he's a target monster, although the touchdowns go up and down. Right. And he can get lost with pickens and lamb there. Sure. Um, Juwan Johnson is a guy who just seems to keep getting better.
SPEAKER_03I've had him on my team the last couple of years, and uh uh it uh but uh and he'll have some uh uh good games for you and then he'll disappear.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And you know, the thing with me is I want to get one of the top six tight ends. I'd prefer one of the top three in McBride, Loveland, and Bowers.
SPEAKER_03I'm probably not getting any of those guys because I almost always wait on tight ends.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I'd be happy with Warren, Kraft, and Fannon. If aside from that, it's gonna be a crapshoot. I know. Now last year I waited and ended up with Warren and Kraft, and then I scooped up Loveland after Kraft got injured, and it worked out well for me, but you can't always you don't always hit hit like that.
SPEAKER_03Especially off the waiver wire.
SPEAKER_01It's like winning the lottery, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it is. Uh well, I've got uh Isaiah Likley with the Giants.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03He's reuniting with his old coach, who, and and they gave him dough.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I've been waiting for him to break out for a while, but Jackson Dart may love the guy. I think this might be his breakout year. Yeah. And Harbaugh's been good with getting tight ends the ball, that's for sure. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um just Greg Roman, but same thing.
SPEAKER_01Oh, Roman's the coordinator.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah. Those are uh he loves uh Harbaugh loves that dude. Okay.
SPEAKER_01And I think he's too conservative, but well, conservative offenses are good for tight ends, I believe. Yeah, they are. Uh, I got Chig Aconquo. Got him. Washington. Daniels playing on Washington two years ago, Daniels made real good use of Zach Ertz. Yeah, he did. And uh Chig is younger, faster, more athletic. Um, he's uh he he could have a bust out. I agree. Getting out of Tennessee might be good for him. I wouldn't draft him as anything more than a second tight end, but you know.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I don't know. Uh uh, you know me. Or Tennessee Titans.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's your boys. But uh you're not gonna let it cloud your good sense.
SPEAKER_03I'm just wondering that if uh Cam Ward makes a second year leap, he'll be just as good as Jaden Daniels is here.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And so I don't know that it's an upgrade for Cheg, but uh he's in a good spot. Uh uh, they don't have a lot of weapons.
SPEAKER_01It depends how healthy Daniels is.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I think. Sounds like he's gonna be 100% uh star of the season, but how long is that gonna last?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Who else you got? Uh I got my boy, Brendan Strange, Jacksonville. Yeah, I like him. I like him. I think he could get you eight touchdowns, best case scenario.
SPEAKER_01He's young enough to make the leap. And what I always remember about, I believe he's a guy who was sharing time with Tyler Warren. And if you're good enough to keep Tyler Warren on the bench half the time in college at Penn State. I heard that. Yeah, you're pretty good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you are. Penn State turns out some tight ends.
SPEAKER_01They do. Um okay, I got, I also wrote down AJ Barner with Seattle.
SPEAKER_00Got him. Orlando Gadsden. Orlando, it is, okay. Orlando Gadsden.
SPEAKER_01Gads Gadsden. Yeah. Wait, that uh that DSD, you know, I you know, I I struggle with Kieran and Kyron. Tell me about it. Yeah, I'm not gonna get this.
SPEAKER_03You don't watch a lot of football, you don't hear the announcers pronouncing their name and shit. Basically, they're young guys.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. They're young guys who might bust out.
SPEAKER_03I hear, yeah. Yeah. Uh AJ uh Barner really came on at the end of the year.
SPEAKER_01Came on at the end of the year, yeah. Gave him another option. Yeah. I'm a little worried if um well no, you know what? They had Shaheed last year to replace Horton. Yeah, they did. They're gonna be fine. Yeah. Barner will be fine. Horton will be back. Horton will be back. JSN. Cup's gonna be back. Yeah, obviously he's washed.
SPEAKER_03Cup's a little washed, but I I wasn't I wasn't happy when they brought in Cup, but you know, he's from uh Eastern Washington.
SPEAKER_01He went, did he go to Eastern? Yeah. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, in Ellensburg.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03Uh that's all I got for sleepers. That's all I got too.
SPEAKER_01Um and um again, it's uh the thing I I like to do is say, I want one of these guys, and you know, try and set up the draft so I target them. Me too. Uh obviously that's what everyone does, but my cutoff for the tight ends is the top six. McBride, Loveland, Bowers, Warren, Kraft, and Fannin.
SPEAKER_03Uh-huh. Well, mine are the top three, and then after that, I'll just wait and see what's left on the board after everybody's uh burning their top a few tight ends and stuff.
SPEAKER_01Get a Goddard and a Chigakon quo and roll the dice with the next. Why not, man?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Uh, and because unless uh a tight end has a huge year, there's not a hell of a lot of fantasy points between the top and and and number eight. Right.
SPEAKER_01Right. And even even a guy, you know, a guy like McBride, he caught a hell of a lot of balls two years ago. Yeah, if you scored PR, you love the dude. For two touchdowns. Yeah, you know, so if you're in a standard league, it's like okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And you had to keep uh send him out there.
SPEAKER_01Right. He sold the tight ends, the tight end uh landscape can can go dry all of a sudden on you.
SPEAKER_03So but like in our league scoring, if you have the number one tight end and I have the number eight, you might outscore me by 40 points at that position. Right. But in theory, I'll make it up somewhere else. Yes. So are we gonna have another pod next week, Dor? Next week. Uh you don't have anything going? You can be in time?
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So next week, what should we do? Running backs?
SPEAKER_01Let's do running backs next week. We'll try and do, we'll try and go deep with maybe 25 or 30 of them. I'm ready to go real deep on that. And um that's the premier position, the Bell Cow position.
SPEAKER_03Then we'll do wide receivers uh the next week.
SPEAKER_01Wide receivers the next week. Maybe we'll do defenses, maybe we'll do a mock draft the next week. Who knows? I like it. I've never seen any need to do kickers, just take the one on the highest scoring team.
SPEAKER_03Maybe we'll break out our laptop and uh we'll do football calculator and do a mock live.
SPEAKER_01I love it. I love it. Didn't we do that last year? Yeah, so next week running backs, the week after wide receivers, the week after that, we'll do a mock draft live, and then we'll blitz through that and then give our look at the teams and give our thoughts. That's how we did. I like it. Good. Gives me a time to waste time at work. On a fantasy football calculator.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you don't want to get bored. No. Okay, well, thanks again for watching fantasy football with a dork and the dude. We will see you next week.
SPEAKER_01Next Tuesday. Um, and again, follow training camp news. Very important. Look at the injuries, look at you know, who's good who's been good, who's been bad, who's up, who's down. Yeah. You know, just take an hour, follow it every evening. And um you might spot a rookie. You just might spot that they love this one rookie, yeah, running back, and you know, you'll have the edge that way. Okay, thanks for tuning in, and we will catch you next week.
