Blushing Phoenix
Blushing Phoenix is a podcast about learning to trust yourself.
Think about the moments where you edit yourself to stay safe. You hold back. Play small. Don’t set a boundary. Say less. Leave. Hide. Cancel.
Why?
What’s the consequence of being seen?
Of being you?
These voice memos and conversations challenge you to notice where you’re abandoning yourself - and choose differently.
Not later. In the moment.
Change the story by changing the behavior.
Notice. Interrupt. Choose. Change.
Blushing (or whatever you fear) is the invitation.
Phoenix is choosing the discomfort that comes with being fully you.

52: When Sorry Isn't Enough

When my daughter was little, she watched a cartoon called Wonder Pets. In the Christmas episode, Ming-Ming breaks Tuck’s snow globe and says she’s sorry — but Tuck’s response stuck with me: “Sorry won’t fix it.”
That line hit deeper than I expected. Because while I believe in heartfelt apologies, sometimes sorry just doesn’t fix it. Words can soothe, but they can’t always repair what’s been broken.
In this episode, I’m unpacking what real accountability looks like, why “sorry” isn’t always enough, and how we can accept apologies without pretending things are fine. Sometimes the healing isn’t in the words — it’s in the actions that follow.
