Jethro Casie (00:00.366)
to another episode of Case by Casey Kingdom Secrets to Success. Today we're gonna be talking about what is the gospel of Jesus and the inspiration for this solo episode is actually through a conversation I was having with some brothers in Christ and one of them asked me like, is the gospel and how I had answered was yeah, the gospel is and obviously like as a Christian, you should know what the gospel is in the end and this one I'm doing this episode.

I answered the gospel is that we can be saved through faith by grace in Jesus Christ and enter into the kingdom of God, which is some of the gospel. But what I've realized and the revelation that he gave me, I think is very important. Why I want to share with you guys is that we should be able. The Bible teaches that Jesus won't come back until or, yeah, the Jesus won't come back until the gospel.

has been preached to all the people on there. It's all ends of the earth, right? And I think, especially now in this day and age, the enemy has...

changed our understanding of what the original gospel was. And this is what I mean by it, because originally I thought the gospel was just that we're saved by Jesus and it's the gospel of preaching Jesus like, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. But the truth is, once we go into scripture, is that it's not just that. That's a part of it, but that's not even the main message that Jesus himself preached. So what is the gospel?

that Jesus preached. Just to start, Mark chapter 1 verses 14 to 15, this is what Jesus announced. The time has come. The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news. And Jesus's message that he had while he was on earth was one message and his gospel that he was preaching that the apostles also went on to preach was the gospel that the kingdom of God is at hand. And his message was

Jethro Casie (02:10.862)
on how you can get to the kingdom of God and a time for repentance to turn back to the Lord. And that's always been the message of God and just not the kingdom part and the access part. And what I mean by that is when you go through the Bible and you look through all the prophets, especially like in the first kings, second kings, even Isaiah, you just look at the prophets, Elijah, and you begin to see that they're

The purpose of the prophetic and prophets is always to lead people back to Christ Jesus. Repent, change your ways, leave these false gods, stop worshipping this cow when Moses came down. Like how are you guys taking your eyes off the Lord? And the Bible talks about keeping our minds, our thoughts, our heart on things of above, meaning eternal things, things that are not going to be here today and gone tomorrow, like the latest new car or fashion.

to avoid keeping our things or our mind on things of this world and Have that and Jesus was really preaching having a kingdom mindset because the Bible also talks about having Or having or partaking in the same mind that was in Christ Jesus to have inside of us mean that we have access to how Jesus thought and Has his mindset his mind his will and his emotions so the gospel of Jesus is one thing and

One thing only, it's the kingdom of God. And Jesus also called people, and it wasn't just come to the kingdom of God and keep living the way you are. There's multiple stories in the Bible where we see Jesus do a healing or do some sort of miracle. And what he says right after is, repent and sin no more. So the true gospel isn't just a gospel of accept Jesus into your life and you continue to remain the same.

But the true gospel is accept Jesus into your life, repent, turn away from sin, and repentance is just a changing of your mind. And the true way that we repent, it's not to say that you won't fall into sin, but it's a different mindset. The Bible talks about, and I believe this is Paul in either, I don't want to butcher it, maybe Colossians. But Paul talks about that we are now dead to sin. And it's not for us to keep, or maybe it's Romans, but not to keep living in sin.

Jethro Casie (04:37.41)
to abuse the grace of God, because now we're under, we're no longer under the law of Moses, we're under the law of grace, or the dispensation of grace, or the time of grace, right? And it's not to, Jesus wasn't preaching, hey, you can enter into the kingdom of God through me because of the grace, because God so loved the world that I set, that he set me, but that God so loved the world that he wants you to turn away from sin. And it's always been this, right?

turn away from the idols, as I just mentioned, turn away from fornication, turn away from co mingling in terms of being unequally yoked with the neighboring nations and mixing their beliefs. And that's what King Solomon felt. But the grace is not for us to abuse, but the grace is so that we enter into the kingdom. But if you try to abuse the grace, which is possible, but I would say if you try to use the grace, but never turn away.

then you can lose the entrance, which is Jesus. Because you'll see that you truly never listen to the second part of the gospel that he had, which is repentance. So now we know that the kingdom of God is near and the time has come. It's now, it's now, it's now. And that's the message that we're supposed to be preaching. Now we know the second part is just also to repent, turn away from sin and believe in the good news.

And it's also that Jesus put an emphasis that people must recognize their need for salvation because before this, and if you look at other religions as well, there's no there's an idea of the eternal, the eternal after what happens next. Right. But there's no path to salvation. And if that if there is a path that's dependent upon your good deeds. Well, the gospel of Jesus is.

One, the kingdom of God is at hand and you have a way to get into the kingdom. You have a way to get into heaven. Two, it's that you must repent from your sins and turn away from the life that you used to live and become a new creation and a new lifestyle with within so you can enter into the kingdom. Actually, let me take that back. It's not so you to enter into the kingdom, but to show that you are part of the kingdom because you can't say that. For example, you can't say that you want to be

Jethro Casie (07:03.692)
or that I am rich. That's a different revelation that the Lord gave to me, but I'll give it to you guys as well. And then we'll get back to the what is the gospel of Jesus, but I'm a huge on affirmations and they transformed my life. And the revelation that God gave me was that when you say I am, you're also calling upon the name of Lord because he, when he went to Moses, he said to tell the people, I am what I am. So I am is the name of God. So when you say I am in shape.

I am healthy. What the world will give to you, not the world in the of like the world of people, but the world, the universe, how God has set things up is that the world will now have to, because God puts his name above every, I believe above everything or even above his word. I'm not sure if that's exactly true, but God esteems his name very highly. So when you say I am wealthy or I am healthy,

Now you're gonna have opportunities to where you see like a nice cake and you've been fasting. And now you're tempted to break your fast, just an example. You're tempted to break your fast, but you have to prove that I am, because you're calling upon the name of God, you have to prove that right to truly be that. So I am wealthy. It's like now you're gonna have opportunities to express yourself. God's gonna give you these ideas, but now it's up to you to have these ideas to make your wealth.

or to create your wealth. So going back to the kingdom of God, it's that we also have to understand the need for salvation and the need for the forgiveness of our sins. Because if we just believe in Jesus, but believe that we don't need salvation, that loses the whole purpose of Him dying on the cross. And the message is also that God did not give His Son for condemnation, but for salvation.

And also the message of the kingdom of gospel is a promise about abundant life and eternal life beyond this one. Jesus said in John 10, 10, I've come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. And this is what the Holy Spirit brings inside of us. This is why when we receive the Holy Spirit and even when even before that, when you're baptized, you're baptized into the death of Jesus Christ and you come out as a new creation, you come out with a new life and with the power.

Jethro Casie (09:28.682)
And then now the Holy Spirit comes upon you and now you can walk in the power of God to now bear the fruit of the spirit to now have these things that are eternal. And this can be characterized as things such as love, joy, peace and a purpose and ultimately a life with the eternal God in the hereafter. And then I think the last part about or the two last points about what is the gospel of Jesus?

is that it's also a call to follow Jesus. Not to say Jesus preached about following Him, but Jesus also says,

I believe it's Matthew 16, 24 to 25. Jesus calls people to take up their cross and following him, meaning a life of discipleship and commitment to God, a life of dying to the flesh and walking in the spirit so that we may not sin as Paul taught us. And then the last part of the gospel of Jesus is for us to also go make followers and disciples of all nations and baptizing them in the name of Jesus.

and teaching them how to live a spiritual life or in my case, how to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. So I just wanted to do a quick teaching on what is the gospel.
