Jethro Casie (00:01.772)
Welcome back to another episode of Case by Casey Kingdom Secrets of Success. We're on day two of 31 Days of Wisdom, and I hope you're ready to receive from the Lord so if everybody could bow their head in prayer. Father God, we thank you, Lord, for this day. This is the day that the Lord has made. Father God, we pray, Lord, and thank you for unity. Father God, we pray for unity in the body of Christ, Lord Jesus. Unity with your spirit that we may.
Listen to the words of wisdom, Lord Jesus, that we may receive from this book of Proverbs, from chapter two, Lord Jesus, that this word that we are reading, that we are meditating on that is entering into our hearts is the inspired word of God. So Father God, we say thank you. Lord, we worship you for being the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the God of Gods. Father God, we ask for forgiveness for any sins that we have committed, Lord, for any way that we have gone against wisdom. And Lord, I ask that you just open up your people's spiritual eyes, spiritual ears.
and give them their own understanding and revelation of your word in Jesus' name. Amen, amen, amen. So if you're new to this series, we're doing 31 days of wisdom, breaking down each chapter of Proverbs for the month of August. Cause I believe that the Lord is pouring out wisdom in this season and it's on to us to, as Proverbs says, incline our ear onto wisdom. So chapter two starts off, I'm going to be reading the KJV. You can follow in whatever version you want.
But says in verse one, my son, if thou will receive my words and hide my commandments with you so that thou incline thy ear onto wisdom and apply thine heart onto understanding. Yea, if thou cries after knowledge and lift this up thy voice for understanding, if thou seek us her as silver and searches for her as for hid treasures, then shall thou understand the fear of the Lord.
Jethro Casie (01:59.046)
and find knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous. He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment and preserve it the way of his saints. Then shall thou understand righteousness and judgment and equity, yea, every good path. When wisdom entereth into thine heart and knowledge is pleased onto thy soul,
discretion shall preserve the understanding shall keep thee to deliver the deliver thee from the way of the evil man from the man that speaketh forward things who leaves the paths of righteousness to walk in the ways of darkness who rejoices to do evil and the light and the forwardness of the wicked whose ways are crooked and they forward in their paths to deliver thee from the strange woman even from the stranger
which flattereth with her words, which forsaketh the guide of her youth and forgetteth the covenant of her God. For her house inclineth unto death and her paths unto the dead. None that go unto her return again. Neither take they hold of the paths of the life, that thou mayest walk in the way of good men and keep the paths of the righteous. For the upright shall dwell in the land and the perfect shall remain in it.
but the wicked shall be cut off from the earth and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. Lord Jesus, I pray that this will enter into our hearts in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. So verse one says, my son, if thou will receive my words and hide my commandments with thee, my understanding of this that I'm sharing with you all is we can receive a word or reject the word.
And we also have the ability to hide commandments within ourselves. And I was just like, Whoa, Lord, this is crazy because everybody in life has this set of beliefs and beliefs that we hold are like commandments because you can't operate outside of what you believe yourself to be. And that's why even with faith, like outside of your faith, you can't operate outside of the level of faith that you have, meaning also that you
Jethro Casie (04:20.854)
are limiting what God can do in your own life. Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you are limiting what God can do in your own life by your level of faith and belief. And it says, if thou receive my words and hide my commandments with thee. So there's the commandments that you have in yourself from past experiences, past knowledge from school, from people you've hung out with, from your parents. But the commandments that we're supposed to hide in our heart is the commandments of the Lord. And if you're not aware of the commandments,
The main important two ones that you need to know that Jesus talks about is love the Lord with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul, and to love others as, or to love your neighbor as you love yourself. So those are the commandments that we need to hide in our heart. There's probably others around that, but that's what the law is summed up into, as Jesus says. So.
The Bible says that there are also, there's the commands of man, there's the commands of God. And then there's also this code of wisdom that the word talks about. And verse two, it says, that that one climbed that year onto wisdom and implying that heart to understand me. So when I read the word, I'm looking at it, not just from what the word is like saying directly, but also like, this is a spiritual book. This book was inspired by the Holy Spirit.
So it's like, what is the spiritual significance onto this? So I don't think it's just talking about like your physical ear, but also like your spiritual ear, because wisdom is also a spirit. So if it's speaking to you, it's going to speak in a spiritual way, not in solely like a physical way. Same way with the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit talks to us one through his word, through other people, and then also through that small still voice that we all have. when it says, so your ear here,
Your ears hear, but wisdom is something that you need to apply to your heart to understand. And heart, I'm not sure I didn't actually check this, but heart is usually like your mind, your will, your emotions. So.
Jethro Casie (06:29.026)
So when we incline our ear onto wisdom, means that we listen closely. The NLT version says, tune your ears to wisdom. And meaning that wisdom may have its own frequency. And the reason why I say that, and some people are like, frequency, this sounds like so new agey. Yeah, just scientifically, everything has a frequency. You have your own frequency. Like everything is vibrating. Like everything, we know that we're in a motion of ocean. Yeah, like God is the living God.
so yeah, I believe from, this understanding of the word in the LT says tune your ears to wisdom. it's like, what is the frequency that wisdom is operating on? And are you doing what was, I'm not perfect, but are you doing what wisdom is there in the book of problems is telling you to like tune into that frequency. And the question is now how do we, tune our ears onto wisdom? Well, talks about listening closely so that we may tune our ears onto wisdom, meaning
that we are supposed to not only direct our hearts to understand by seeking and striving for eagerly, but also concentrating on understanding itself. And when we see understanding like in Daniel, talks about Daniel was like a skilled man. And that's the reason why he rose up so high. so understanding can be a skill, an insight.
or the object of knowledge or even a teacher who is giving you understanding. So the process that the Lord revealed to me is that, and this might be talking about also about verse three, because it yay, if thou cryest after knowledge and liftest up thy voice for understanding, the process is, so we first receive a word, then we store that commandment into our heart.
And then after that commandment is heart. So I'll break it down like this. So you receive a piece of information because the word is information. Like you came to Jesus because you had a certain information or maybe revelation is a good word or inspiration, some piece of information. And you store that information into your heart and that becomes a belief, a commandment. Then that commandment so that we may incline our ears. So we use that commandment in our heart to incline our ears, to tune into the frequency of wisdom.
Jethro Casie (08:50.786)
And then we apply ourselves, so we apply that information that we had to gain understanding, which ends up to being us being skilled in life. And it says in verse three that we also need to cry out for knowledge and boldly ask for understanding.
When it talks about, it talks about, believe, I'm not sure exactly what book in the New Testament, but talks about you ask not because you have not. And like, if you don't know something, ask the Lord for wisdom, but do it in faith and do all things in faith. Cause if you were to doubt, you won't get it. So it's like that piece of boldness and even going back to the commandments, like the commandment that you need to have is that God is faithful. God will do what he says he is going to do. So something I thought was interesting is that it says,
In verse four, if thou seekest her as silver and searches for her as for hid treasures, then shall thou understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. So I was interested in like, is wisdom something that we seek, but she's still hidden? Like we're always seeking after her, but she's in a hidden place, which I thought was interesting. And as you seek her, then you understand how to have the reverence for God and for his knowledge.
And word understanding there is also discernment. So we call out for the spirit of discernment, for the spirit of understanding. And the word of God says, seek after wisdom as you would also monetary gain as well, because then you'll truly have an understanding of what the fear of the Lord is. And Proverbs later talks about like specifically, what is the fear of the Lord? You know, the fear of the God, fear of the Lord is reverence. But what exactly does that mean? And we'll touch upon that in a later chapter.
Jethro Casie (10:44.92)
For the Lord give it, this was a deep revelation, verse six, for the Lord give it the wisdom and out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. So what the Lord gave me was this. So for the Lord gives the spirit of wisdom and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. From his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. So when the Bible talks about Moses being spoke to face to face, mouth to mouth,
meant that he was giving Moses knowledge and understanding. And I was always curious, like, Lord, how did Moses write Genesis? He wasn't there. But when you're speaking to the Lord mouth to mouth, face to face, that's where you tap into the knowledge and understanding of God. And that's how you can enter into places that you've never been because Moses wasn't, isn't God. He can't be past, present and future, right? But
we have a relationship with God, He will give us the knowledge of the past, of the present, and the future. That's how even people prophesy. If you look at the Old Testament, on all the prophets there, they would prophesy about things in the future as well. And it's like, how do they have this knowledge? It's because they were at a level of speaking mouth to mouth with the Lord. So it says in verse seven,
up sound wisdom for the righteous. He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. So the Lord is in the business of hiding, hoarding, reserving wisdom for those who are in right standing with the Lord and or who do what is right. Meaning like might be, and this is what I thought might be righteousness in heart because we know like, for example, David did a lot of things that were considered unrighteous, but he was always considered a man after God's heart. So was...
heart posture thing as well. But what I wanted to point out here is that I believe that there's, and this is just my belief, not saying this is like scripture or anything or thus saith the Lord, but it's one, there's a part where he laid up sound wisdom for the righteous and we are righteous in Christ. So just being a believer in Christ Jesus, you have a portion of wisdom laid up for you. But then the other portion is to your obedience because
Jethro Casie (13:04.898)
the more you do what the Lord is asking you to do, the more you're growing in grace, the more right, and I would say more right standing than you are with somebody else, but you're doing things that the righteous person would do it. Like it's very hard for, for example, we all have an inheritance in Christ Jesus and to just to bring it into the physical. Like if you're a parent and you have multiple children, they're all going to have the same access to you, the same wisdom to you.
The same access to your wisdom is a better way to put it. But the son, the daughter, the child who is not only receiving like what you're just speaking to them, but also coming to you and you see that they're doing their like studious with what they're giving you. They're being good stewards of what they're giving or what you've given them is you're going to pour out more and more wisdom because you see that they're catching and understanding and obedient onto the word that you've given them. And I believe that's the same way with God, because I believe our parents.
reflection of who the Lord is. We're kind of running out of time here, so I'm going to go a bit faster and just speak from my notes. Not going to really go first by verse. But some other things that stood out to me were in verse eight, God preserves your way and he guards the path of justice as well. So we're not supposed to be fearful or troubled because God is in the business of preserving his saints, which are us.
Verse 9, God wants us to understand what is right and just in every circumstance so we may know every good path in our lives. what was highlighted here, I believe in verse, might be skipping ahead. We'll just keep going. Verse.
Jethro Casie (14:58.542)
So it says in verse 10, once what I wrote down is once you understand righteousness and justice, wisdom enters your heart and your heart here is your thoughts or inner man and knowledge will begin to please your soul, your mind, your will, your emotions. So what am I saying? When wisdom enters into your heart, the fear of the Lord is here. Wisdom, you have the beliefs, you have the information that entered into your heart, right? Now you fear God.
Now knowledge will be pleasant to your soul because there's a place where knowledge can be unpleasant to your soul where it can actually grieve your mind, your will and your emotions. Discretion shall preserve thee and understanding shall keep thee. So discretion here is also like foresight. So being able to believe foresight is like being able to like see into the future, like not exactly like see into the future, but something along those lines that it will protect you. It will watch over you and will preserve you.
and understanding will guard you. So I believe that you there that it's talking about is your soul. So discretion shall preserve you understand you talking about your soul, your inner man, your heart, your mind, your will and emotions. That's the point because at the end of the day, we're in a battle for our souls, right? Like that's what the devil's after. He's not after necessarily just your body. He can't touch your spirit that belongs to God, but your soul is something that he tries to influence.
And then from verse 12, it's very interesting because from like 12, I believe like all the way down to 19, if you go to Psalms 1, 1, and I'm probably, I don't have it directly from memory, but it's like, is the man that walketh not in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the sea of the scornful, nor standeth in the way of something. But it talks about basically avoiding sinners and not being like them. And from 12 to 19, or to 20, it's
pretty much talking about the exact same thing. And what I've realized is that wisdom is not solely meant to be for your success in the kingdom, but also to save you from evil men and that men there is man and woman. Because there are those who are like true and it took me a long time to come to this understanding. But I'm still not like super conscious of it or think about it too much because I feel blessed.
Jethro Casie (17:26.924)
that there are truly like wicked people out there who like will do things to tear you down. Like we're praying against you, praying evil prayers, fasting and praying for your downfall. And it sounds crazy making sacrifices so you can fall. Like, you know what I mean? So you have to have this understanding that there truly are wicked people there and they've abandoned completely. Like these aren't, I don't want to say wicked. It's not like they're dealing, like they're struggling with sin. It's like they've
forsaken God, like I don't God, I don't care about you. I don't need you. I don't want you. I have nothing to do with you. Right. Like the belief the Bible talks about the spirit of rebellion or the seed of those people are really like witchcraft or something is like the same as the spirit of rebellion anyway, but they carry that spirit and they've abandoned being righteous altogether. So wisdom is also there to save you. It talks about I believe in verse 17 or 16 to save you.
from the Amora women, meaning that those who don't have wisdom won't be saved from this woman specifically. Also meaning that many men have fallen out of their purpose because of her. And I was also curious, I wonder if this Amora woman has any ties to Babylon. I was doing a bit of research, I don't think it necessarily does, because it talks about the the the whore of Babylon and then on all that and revelation.
So my conclusion is no, I don't think so, but it was a cool thought. And this war woman, if access to enough men turns from, would be something that necessarily like started into the heart of a man. And it then becomes to manifest as to where it begins to be a place where it opposes the whole kingdom, meaning the whole, also the whole church as his bride, because
If this woman is coming after men who don't have wisdom and you're taking a part of like this woman's fruit, you're eating from her. Like the, the proverb talks about like enjoying the breast of the wife of your youth. And my whole point of this like connection was what if like the more we go pursuing after this immoral woman. like, imagine, and this is completely like, I'm just thinking here is.
Jethro Casie (19:54.178)
how Adam had his Eve. What if there's also like a, the Satan has whatever, the woman of Babylon and that woman can only grow obviously as man gives her and her more power and power. It's like she feast on the blood of the saints, but I believe that the devil doesn't have any like power or authority over man unless we give it to him. So yeah, that was the study of Proverbs 20, or Proverbs 2.
So yeah, I hope this blessed you guys. I'm gonna try and get more structured as we go along and give you guys my thoughts more clearly, but I hope this blessed you. I just wanna say thank you, Jesus, for your life. And I really do hope you receive some wisdom and insight. In Jesus' name, amen.
