It's not really there behind me, but it's there, trust me. So basically, um, you know, I I left Port St. Lucie yesterday morning at 8:30 in the morning, and I just did uh straight the dates of the straight home. 21-hour drive. I stopped for gas, coffee, piss. Gas, coffee, piss.

So basically, I got home at 5:30 this morning, and now I'm so wired because of all the coffee I've been drinking, right? So I'm fucking wired and shit. And uh I lay down and I can't fall asleep. I'm so tired, but I can't fall asleep. I finally start dozing off, right? My ass must be chapped. There you go. So I was so tired, I lay down, and um I finally started dozing off about 6:30 just to wake up at 7:30. So I wake up at 7:30 and I'm laying there until about 8:15. I got up, I took a shower, I went to work. I ended up uh, what's up, Bobby Sopa's out there?

I had three big heroes, I had pepperoni, I had all kinds of goodies for the ride home. And she even bought me La Vaza. I had the vaza.

But anyway, um, so that was it. So I want to do a shout out to the Tropical Manor. Also, I gotta say, you know, I know we talk about the Tropical Manor all year. I just want to get all this out of the way before we play the show that me and Louie did because I won't be able to talk anymore. So um basically the Tropical Manor, they they gave us uh two rooms. And that place is beautiful. Right on the beach, man, and the beach looked great this year. Uh, they got a great swimming pool, beautiful swimming pool, shaped like a bell. Um, you know, we did a live show from the pool area, me and Louie. Yeah, I say it wasn't live, it was uh pre-recorded. Uh right with the beach behind us and right in front of the pool.

And uh she made me this bracelet, which is awesome. It's a rosary bead. It's on the screen. And she made me another one that uh Louie's gotta get to me. But uh, awesome stuff, man. What's up? I had a great ride last week. Yeah. I took Bellow on the loop. You go to Daytona or Almond Beach, the Almond Beach loop, it's really cool, man. You got a lot of sightseeing over there, million-dollar houses, and it's really cool shit, man. Any monkeys on there? I didn't see any monkeys. I only buy Louis' house where the monkeys are. Yeah. So uh let me see. Yeah. Give me a second here. I'm looking for something. Ba-buh buh. Um, I gotta also give a shout-out to uh Milwaukee Leather, man. Milwaukee Leather. Wow. They were set up everywhere on Bike Week. I mean, they were set up on Main Street, they had a huge setup with their clothing. And hot leathers, too. That's what I gotta get my adventures.

I gotta tell you, actually, I heard it was warm out down there. And um we left uh last week it was like three degrees. And the worst part about it is you know, you gotta shovel the snow or snow snow blow it or whatever, because if you don't do it right away, it freezes. And then the next day you get ice to deal with, and then it snowed like four days in a row. So if you didn't get that first one, that all turns into ice underneath.

So we don't gotta be uh walking around in the rain. So anyway, bike is in rain, still get along.

I rode as much as I could, and in fact, one year, my first marriage, she took me to the cleaners, and I didn't have a car. So and I was working out of Port Newark, New Jersey. And I rode my bike, and I don't care what kind of weather it was, every day to get back to work and back to Queens.

But I figured maybe because of the weather here, it's a lot funner here in Florida for you. That's the thing I'm saying about New York and Florida. To do the ocean parkway. How many times are you gonna do that? You know what I mean?

It it gets the traffic just going out to the Hampton. Yeah, that's horrible. Single lane both ways in the summertime. Who the hell wants to burn up your motorcycle?

Well, that's what I was saying. At least in Florida, man, you know, you you live on McCallum, you come to Daytona, you can go to Miami, you can go to Key West, you can go to Clearwater, you got so much in Florida, the Florida office, you got great weather pretty much all year round. You know, you have that little time period where it might get cold here for two days, right?

Well, I moved here in 21. Uh May 1st.

Right when I got down here. Oh, that's gotta be a bad way to start it. Actually, I got down here and uh I moved here in May, May 1st, 21.

Met up with a buddy of mine in August. We went and rode the Azillo Trail down in Crystal River.

He got COVID. And uh I brought him to the hospital and he coughed on me. I got COVID. I almost died of it, and he never left the hospital in pastor.

That was the fourth time I had COVID. Wow. That's scary. COVID was a scary thing in 2020. Uh I was under lockdown. I was living in Pennsylvania at the time.

And COVID hit really hard. Uh obviously, all the things that were going on with COVID back then. But COVID didn't really start lighting up on people until almost 22.

Really? Yeah. I got it twice, but both times only had a stuffed nose. That was it.

First time I had it, the CDC hotline had you call in and you had to answer five questions. But I'm like, what are isn't this America? We could just go to a hospital. Well, you couldn't go to a hospital until you answer these five questions. Really? I got four out of five. They told me to stay in place.

So I had COVID for a month and a half.

I stayed in place, taking, you know, stupid over-the-counter stuff, and ended up with damage in my uh my lungs and my kidneys. Wow, that's horrible. Are you having more of the like after effects or I have breathing issues and kidney problems now due to COVID?

Geez, you know, it's amazing how that that came in and it's gone now. It's still here. I know somebody just got it like like two weeks ago.

It's never gonna go away because it was a genetic made uh virus.

It was. I believe that. 100%. Oh yeah. Guaranteed. They were trying to get rid of us. They're trying to get rid of us. Can you imagine?

A common flu mutates and then it starts to break down. Wow. This genetic stuff just keeps on going and it's a different strain. Right, right. So, but it's never gonna go away.

Yeah, well, you know what? At least we're healthy now. But you know what? Something else is gonna come wipe us out. You see. Yeah. You see. We'll see what happens. That's why we gotta enjoy every minute we can. And right now I am because I am in with you in Daytona. Where it's nice and warm.

You gotta love them. So uh so what do you think about this particular bike week? I think I think it's like a lot more busier than um.

It is busier out of the gate, and I'm surprised because of the the temperatures where people were leaving from up north. Right. I was I was surprised to see right away. Usually the first five days, it's it's not as busy, and then it's just bad. The weekend comes. Yeah, you know, like we'll come Wednesday to the following weekend, it's packed. But it's pretty busy this year.

Yeah, I tell I tell you, I went down to the um when I went to go meet you with Saints and Centers the other night, yeah. I hit the iron horse and the traffic started there. You know, and you know, like wow, man, if you get sitting traffic all the way from you know the iron horse to the dealer, that's a lot of traffic.

I came off a 40 to meet you over at Saints and Centers from my house, right? And it's a straight shot from my house, straight out 40 through the forest into Ormin. Right. Then I jump on 95 for five miles, right? And I'm at the Orman exit right where Saints and Centers is in the Harley dealer.

Yeah.

I sat there for half an hour on the right.

But you know, you know what? They kind of do things kind of stupid because if you're coming from the other way, they make you turn around and come back in, right?

Well, when you leave, you can't make a left out of there. They make you go that the other way, and then they make you turn around and come back.

It's like Well, here here's a trick. Yeah. Okay, only because this is what I do every year, because I park in the same spot. If you're gonna come into Saints and Centers and you're gonna come into the Harley deal into destination, which is now not destination. No, no. So come into destination, right where the love truck stop is. Yeah. Once you make that right turn, pull into that first right. That gas station has become a parking lot next to the restaurant. Yeah, I park right there. I don't go all the way to the back no more.

I know what I do, and I what I did last this year is that parking lot was actually full, you're talking about. They had a sign full.

Yeah, not really. If you pull in there, they'll find room.

Yeah, and then the next one where you got to pay 10 bucks, that was full. So what I normally do now, I don't even go to a parking lot, I go right into the event. Like I'm going to get work done on my bike.

The burger, I'm not kidding, but this big. Wow. I said, I'm not eating this. Are you kidding me? So Dawn ate one of the patties and I ate the other one. That was crazy, man.

Uh was me and my son and Larry Joe were gonna go to the garlic. And we got in the car, we all went together that one night. Remember, it was a cold night, you know, and so we decided to just open the car and let's just go. And we get to we get to the to the garlic, and there was like a three-hour wait. So Larry's like, I'm not waiting here. Yeah, I was like, uh, neither am I, we're starving. So we start driving back and we're looking. I see this place called Blackbeard. So I'm like, ooh, this looks interesting. Let's let's check this out. So the three of us go in there, we sit down, and uh the waitress comes over, she goes, Should I put three uh prime ribs to the side for you guys? Like, why? She goes, Oh, you don't know. No, we're famous for our prime rib.

And there's a different area where there might be four or five bars together, but there's no real Main Street there. It's like a mall they have where they have all these restaurants, like the cool restaurants, you know, like um you find like Dick's resort, like that, you know what I mean? And um you have the bicycle up and down there. But Panama City is a real cool one. I enjoy it a lot, man. Panama City. You got the blue sand, the blue water with the sand, and you got the pelicans and well, being that we're talking about bars, and we're in Daytona.

You walk through the breezeway here, get some artwork at the sailfish, and we'll take you through uh doing a little construction on a room here, don't mind that. All the rooms have different names on them, like uh we got the pink hibiscus, the red hibiscus. I think Johnny had the room sweet pea, I'm almost sure. And I believe that was Johnny's room at one time, maybe last year. Sweet pea sand dollar. You got the sand crab, you get the sand dunes, on the other side, you got the apartments. I was upstairs there, and that that apartment up there that's called the Ebb Tide. The other apartments are on the other side of the place here, and uh accommodations obviously are much larger. But it's a smoking bar, it's like a cigar type of cluesy kind of thing.

Oh wow. But what we've done here is float gel on top of each air cell. So it gives it a completely unique feel, unlike a normal gel cushion. A big thing, like a big uh check mark against the gel cushions is they get hot, right? Well, we're using wheelchair gel, it doesn't get hot to the touch, and it's so the there's air channels in here in the cover. You won't see it on camera, but you can see right through that cover almost. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It flows air so much that as soon as you start moving, it's gonna cool. But when it sits in the sun, you put your hand on it, it's not you're not gonna burn yourself. Wow. This cushion, this is that near free cover I was talking about. The beauty here is this thing stretches. So that stretch when you're going down the highway, you know you hit cracks, and New York doesn't have rough roads at all. No, so those cracks never happen.
