Welcome to another edition of the Motorcycle Mayhem Radio Podcast, hosted by Johnny Rizto, where we talk about everything motorcycle, from tips on safe riding to apparel and accessories, to where the next events are, and everything in between. So, let's mount up and ride. Hey Johnny, where are we going this time?
SPEAKER_02What's up, everybody? What's going on out there? What's up, Iris Pat? Hey, Johnny, what's going on? How are you doing? I'm doing good. We have a full studio tonight. We have a full studio tonight, we do. So who's that lovely lady? You got sitting next to you over there.
SPEAKER_04This lovely young lady is uh uh Diana Ortiz, president of the Big Apple Motorcycle School.
SPEAKER_02Big Apple. How are you doing, Diane? Good. Yeah? Good. So what do you got going on? Well, we started classes last week. Excellent. Thank God. So I know you guys had a problem. Was that two years ago? No, last year. That was last year.
SPEAKER_13Last year.
SPEAKER_04Was it last year? I thought it was like two years ago.
SPEAKER_13No, last year we couldn't start until the end of May because of things in Albany, you know, things happened.
SPEAKER_02So everything's good now. Everything's good this year. All right. So tell us about your school, where you're located, and how do you get part of it?
SPEAKER_13Okay, well, I'm proud to say I founded it. You found it 20 years ago. Wow. Yeah, I'm old. You're not that. 20 years ago? So we've taught thousands of people to learn to ride and improve their skills.
Big Apple School Returns To Classes
SPEAKER_02You have to have some great stories. I mean, you have to have like some beginners, like you know, where go ahead, Pat. Pat's got one.
SPEAKER_04I'm just no, I'm just one of her stories. Because this is where I would have way to get my license for from Big Apple Motorcycles.
SPEAKER_02Okay, all right. Yeah, we let them in. You let him in? Yeah. After we shut out into the middle of summerized highway by accident. Is that what happened? With your feet down, like well, that's awesome that you got the school. And we're gonna get back to you in a second with that. I want to introduce, we got Backer is in the house. What's up, guys? What's going on? How are you doing over there?
SPEAKER_15All good. Good, good.
SPEAKER_02You gotta talk into the mic. That's why we have microphones. Well, you broke the mic, you see. He broke it.
SPEAKER_15That's why we don't really bring it up. Let's hold it here.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so you're gonna have to hold it. Now fix that on commercial. You gotta talk into the blue light, okay? Talk into the blue light. Alright, so what do you guys got going on? Let her talk. Because she's gonna break nothing.
Meet BACA And The Crew
SPEAKER_03Uh Hope's actually our event coordinator. So wait, let's go with name first. We got it's Hope. So Upriser. Upriser.
SPEAKER_02All right, we got Mayhem on Mayhem, and you are your hope. So you give hope to the Mayhem.
SPEAKER_03She uh she does an amazing job. She keeps us busy all year and gonna tell you about a few things we have going on.
SPEAKER_02So let's hear it. What do you got going on?
SPEAKER_14Yeah, so the best thing that we have going on is our Into Empower fundraiser, which is gonna be in two weeks.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_14That's being hosted by Wild Child Tattoo or American and what they are gonna be doing is offering a selection of flash tattoos and then donating a portion back to the chapter.
SPEAKER_02Oh, nice. You know, you know what's scary and sad that how fat I am, how I know wild child tattoo? Of course, it's next to the pit stop. Right? Well, I'm always going. Right? You're eating, you're looking at wild child tattoo, and you're like, ah, you know. So that's my story. So so tell us about your event you got going on.
SPEAKER_14So I mean, come down Saturday, April 25th, or Sunday, April 26th. Um, we're gonna be down there from 12 to 5. Okay. They're gonna be doing the flash tattoos all weekend from open to close.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's all right. So they're doing the tattoos from their location.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_02All right, that sounds like an awesome thing. Now, do they do they are they doing specials or just so they have special deals?
SPEAKER_14Yep.
SPEAKER_02That's awesome. Yeah, are they still allowed to do tattoos like on the road? I don't even know if they do that anymore.
SPEAKER_14I'm not sure. I don't think that they can really take their studio kind of on the road legally, but if we're gonna be there, we're kind of taking over for the weekend. Okay. If anybody wants to get a tattoo, come on down.
SPEAKER_02Excellent. All right. So we got some people out there saying hello. What's up there, John? What's up there, Tara? And Pitbull. With the 99% radio network, is out there also. They walk there from Texas. These great, great bunch of guys. So uh so it sounds like a great event. So what do you get? We have bands playing, and uh what's happening?
SPEAKER_14We're not gonna have a band playing. I mean, we don't have too much room over there. It is a tattoo studio, but on Sunday we are gonna have some popcorn and cotton candy.
SPEAKER_02Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
SPEAKER_04Hold on a second. You mentioned food. He has to stop and cotton candy, and cookies.
SPEAKER_02And cookies. Now, just everyone out there knows, okay, that I'm innocent to all of this. All right, I came in my studio today, innocent. I got a bottle of seltzer with me. All right, first Diane brings in the whole big thing of brownies, and then these guys gotta bring in cupcakes. Now, I promised I wouldn't eat nah. We gotta go to the commercial. So I'm innocent to this. I didn't ask for anything. They brought everything in.
SPEAKER_04So it's gonna be Yeah, but you're not gonna say no, are you?
SPEAKER_02Oh no, of course I'm not gonna say no. I am a fat guy. I'm gonna eat it. So anyway, I'm sorry. You mentioned popcorn and you got my attention in Con Candy's the best, by the way. Yeah. I don't care how old you are, that's the shit right there. So, all right, so guys, guys, I'm sorry for interrupting you.
unknownNo, you're good, but you know, if you're a fan of Pitstop, they're gonna be offering specials too.
SPEAKER_02Oh, are they really?
unknownThey are.
SPEAKER_02So they're part of it. The Pitstop is part of it?
unknownMm-hmm. Yep.
SPEAKER_02Excellent. So what is what is offered to you? So you you have the whole sumrise highway to put the bikes out, right?
SPEAKER_14Yeah, people can park on this on the highway, absolutely. There's a little bit of parking on the side street as well, and then right in front.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so what time does this event start? I have the flyer up.
SPEAKER_14I'm pretty sure the studio is open from 12 to 9, I think. But we're gonna be there from 12 to 5 on both days.
SPEAKER_02Excellent. Now tell talk to me about Backu itself a little bit. You know, some people out there don't really know what Bacchus stands for, and what is it that you guys actually do? And it's fantastic what you do, by the way.
SPEAKER_15So, what uh give you I'll give you the mission statement uh the uh the proper terminology. So we empower children to not be afraid of the world in which they live. Right. What does that mean? What it means is we take in kids, we work with local uh agencies, right? Enforcement, um uh court systems, um they uh refer kids to us that have had some sort of abuse, whether it's physical, emotional, sexual, um and uh we take them in. They become part of our family.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_15We um you know, we have a little special celebration, right? Um the kids get to pick their own road name, they get to pick their uh patches for their cut, and uh the whole chapter rides out to them and uh they become part of the family.
SPEAKER_02So you know you pretty much any kid that's scared of their of somebody or are being abused by a parent or a family member or anybody, and they gotta go to court, something you guys go with them to court and you guys protect them the whole way.
SPEAKER_15We will escort a child to court. Um we will stand guard at a house if there's an imminent threat.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_15Stand guard at the house 24-7 and be there. Um we assigned two patch members that are on call for that child or children 24-7.
SPEAKER_02Wow. Is any is there ever a time where you guys had a huge force on anybody?
How BACA Protects Kids
SPEAKER_15Use force, no. I think most of the times when we had a you know stand guard um and we've had the perks come around they think best of it.
SPEAKER_02Well, I think just the appearance alone. See a bunch of big bikers standing there, they're gonna think twice about anything, right?
SPEAKER_15Yeah, it's a bunch of guys that are much older than scary. She's very pretty though, I mean, yeah. That's why we don't remember. That's why she promotes the events. Yeah, but this phase is a good one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. It's in mayhem. So let me ask you a question. So you guys are all over the country. Are you all over the world? Or we are international. International.
SPEAKER_15We're in 19 countries, we're in 46 states.
SPEAKER_02That's incredible, man. So how does one become one of you guys?
SPEAKER_15Uh she comes down to her meetings. We have our meetings um every second Sunday of the month. Um and you come down to a couple of meetings, we get to know you. We we get to know what you're about, what your story is. Uh after the third meeting, we send you out to get fingerprinted.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. You have to get background checked, obviously.
SPEAKER_15We all get federally fingerprinted.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_15And then you pass that background check, you become a supporter, and you go to about a year of training with a patch member who's a sponsor.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_15And after that year of training, you get voted in for a patch.
SPEAKER_02Wow. So how long has Baker been on alpha?
SPEAKER_031995.
Ads Break And Quick Announcements
SPEAKER_02Now, has there ever been a ch a time, interesting question, where there was a child that you guys protected that grew up and became one of you. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. That happens all the time. Wow. That's awesome. Fantastic. That's great, really. Wow. Oh my god. So, all right, so stay right there, guys. We're gonna go to commercial real quick because we gotta pay some bills here. We got Darlene from Rock and Vaca in the house over there. She's waiting in the green room down there. She's got some exciting stuff going on with Rock and Vaca. So we're gonna get to her in a minute. Hi, Darlene.
SPEAKER_11Hi. Can you hear me?
SPEAKER_02We hear you. You sound fantastic.
SPEAKER_11Oh, I'm loving this. That's a wonderful organization, and I hope to learn more about it.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely, you will. But say right there, guys, we'll be right back right after this. Maybe not. Okay, right after this. Okay, you know what? I'm getting so sick of this system, you have no idea. I just downloaded these videos and I'll get it. So, Pat, talk about something real quick.
SPEAKER_04Well, what I'm gonna talk about uh talk about is uh coming up this Sunday is usually the unofficial beginning of the season for Long Island where we have the riders of fire blessing of the bikes. Oh, okay. Um usually, like I said, uh if the weather is nice, fingers crossed, it looks good. You usually you'll have like about 200, 250 bikes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's a big one. Oh, that's yeah, well, we'll get back to that from after commercial. So stay right there, guys. We'll be right back. We will be right back.

SPEAKER_04I believe he is, yeah. Son of a bitch, man.
SPEAKER_02No, he's sending me pictures of I don't want to see these. I want to be there. So what's up to my girl Dawn DeMille is out there. What's up, Dawn? Oh, you didn't move. So she's out there watching. And uh we got Rising Sun Customs. Let's say hello to them. They're actually donating a motorcycle to Rockin' the Road for a Cure when we do the uh big run that we do in October, the motorcycle run for breast cancer. We'll have a motorcycle that we're gonna be, a custom-built motorcycle from Rising Sun Customs. So check it out, you know. It's gonna be awesome. Uh nice bike, nice custom motorcycle. We're gonna have a huge event that's gonna be October 4th this year. So don't miss it. It's gonna be fantastic.
unknownThat's a great event.
Rocka Vaca Online Store Launch
SPEAKER_02That's that is a great event. Last year, man, all I remember is you know, you got there, I got there about six o'clock in the morning, and there's nobody there, you know. And then you're getting things together, you know, you're just busy, and you look up, you see a motorcycle, two motorcycles, five motorcycles, and then somebody taps you on the shoulder, like, hey, there's like 1400 motorcycles here. I'm like, What are you talking about? All you see is bikes going all the way. All the way. That was a great feeling, man. And uh awful great cause. There's no taking any shortcuts with this organization. She's right on on top of everything. And the money goes to Great Cause. So this year it's gonna be October 4th.
SPEAKER_13Where?
SPEAKER_02At Massapigua at the uh American Legion's post 66? 66 at 10, no, post 106. 66 at 66 Veterans Boulevard in Massa Pigua. So we'll get more on that when we get closer. So back to you guys, because you guys got a big event coming up. And um what what time does your event actually start? I'm gonna it's an interesting question because Pat knows why. What time 12 to 5? Ah, you see? 12 to 5. That's beautiful.
SPEAKER_04Oh, crimey around.
SPEAKER_02I don't know why. Like I love the Mozart community, but why is it kicked end up at nine? Why? How about 12? Okay. And cotton candy, sorry. That yeah, that's what that's all this. That's Pastor Ski. I'm gonna have a word with him. See, we had a conversation about this earlier. Yeah, we we Pastor Ski has his Easter sunrise ride. I'm gonna have the motorcycle mayhem Easter sunset ride. Okay? Which is gonna be a lot easier on you know, getting out of bed. And Mike, our classes don't start till 12. Okay. See, I love you. You'll be happy. See, you bought me brownies and your classes start late. Can't go wrong with that. All right, that's awesome. I got my girlfriend watching. She can't hear about these brownies and these cupcakes, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_04I mean, yeah, I'm sure she's not paying attention.
SPEAKER_02I can't believe Pat ate all of them. Oh my god. We got Gary Michaels out there. Gary Michaels is uh the only comedian, biker hypnotist that's out there. The guy is fantastic. You ever see him anywhere at an event? Go check him out. Check out his Facebook page, Gary Michaels. He's hysterical, man. He's funny as shit. And he does great magic tricks, and he does a lot of hypnosis. And he'll he'll make you eat a chicken or be a chicken, whatever it is.
SPEAKER_04Right? He convinced Johnny he was skinny.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. And I still feel it, you know. He made a guy, I think he lost his penis once. And the guy was running around the stage looking for his penis. It was it was hysterical, I'm telling you. Right now, Gary's on the cruise right now. He's on the Rock MSC uh Islander cruise, right? Yeah. Islander Fest Festival.
SPEAKER_04Something like that. Yeah, something like that.
SPEAKER_02Islander Fest cruise. He's out there with Jasmine Cain. You ever see Jasmine Cain?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_02You ever hear of her?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_02Man, he has a bike here, huh? Well, you gotta. You guys go to any you go to bike events? Daytona, and Jasmine, see her name? Gotta go see her, man. Awesome, awesome stuff. So like Don't out here writing a bunch of stuff here. Oh no, you're cheating again. Oh, no, Don, I'm not. I didn't even I didn't ask for any of this stuff. It just came and what's up, Jody? Jody the guy is watching.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02I thought this guy was a girl the whole time, Jody. Right? And I found out he was a guy. So I call him Jody the guy. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04And Putbull's out there saying how how uh Gary uh hypnotized two of her pinup girls.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. Awesome. Well, you gotta go see him. So let's get back to you guys, and then we'll get the rock of vodka. Um, you know, uh uh Louie Beck and Ellen's cannot make it tonight.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02He has some stuff going on. And Bob Johnson can make it tonight, also. Our hearts go out to Bob's family. He's got some stuff going on over there. So back to you guys. Um, the event. What else is going on at this event? We got cotton candy. And what kind of cookies are we talking? We're talking like, you know, chocolate chip.
unknownChocolate chip.
SPEAKER_02Ask it for a friend.
unknownYeah, chocolate chip.
SPEAKER_14Gotta get close to the mic. We got chocolate chip.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_14Um, probably some like MM cookies. I don't know, besides that, those are cotton candy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah? Wow. That's amazing. So is there a ride involved with this? Or just no. So there's no ride, so it's just an event you're having from 12 to 5, a wild child tattoo, they're having a deal on tattoos, and the pit stops having some deals also. Okay.
SPEAKER_14We'll have support merchandise out there. You'll be able to come meet us, learn a little bit more about what we do. Right.
SPEAKER_02Can you join up with you guys that day?
SPEAKER_03Or we have you have to show up to a meeting. Right. So you know, if you want to do go through that process of becoming a supporter, the best thing would be to come to a meeting. Okay. Uh but we do have a ride in August. We do uh it's actually our second annual polka run there. Oh, yeah. Uh which was a great time last year. Yeah, I'm sure. Excellent. Okay. So that will be doing again.
SPEAKER_02Excellent. And and you guys always set up at the Rock and the Road for Cuba uh event. We've been there. You guys set up at a lot of places, right? You're always at Harley, right? So Nassau County.
SPEAKER_03Right. Uh Wild Child uh all day, and then we'll have a table set up at the Top Bay Beach car show.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, the car shows usually that car show interferes with rocking the road. Right. So not this year.
SPEAKER_03Well they have it twice. Oh, they do have it twice.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I got you. It might, yeah. That always always lands. We always gotta change our route because of that.
SPEAKER_04So I was gonna say John Solano makes uh is inadvertently making a good point to help you. He's you know, remember if you put the word diet in front of the city.
Court Escorts And Success Stories
SPEAKER_02Oh, yes, John, you know what? Sideshow? Absolutely correct. So they bought diet cupcakes. So now it's okay to eat it. Diet cookie, diet cotton candy. Diane brought diet brownies. There you go. Here I go. Non-alcoholic vodka, right here. There you go. We got it, we got it. So you brought the diet cup the brownies, yeah. Absolutely. Now, Diane, I gotta ask you, did you put any kind of weed in there, brownies?
SPEAKER_13No, unfortunately not.
SPEAKER_02No, no weed, huh?
SPEAKER_13No, I just want to mention, too, you know, those of you thinking of going to these events and there's so many runs and wonderful events. And I have to say, I'm so proud to be part of a motorcycle community that supports all of these wonderful causes. It's such a wonderful thing, but you want to ride legal. You want to know what you're doing. Yes. You don't want to join these big uh you know, bike events, and you know, you don't want to be the one that doesn't know how to ride good enough to be able to be part of these big rides. Right, exactly. So come take a class. Absolutely. Big Apple Motorcycle Schools, everybody. Now, is there a website? Yes, there is BigApple Motorcycleschool.com. And for those of you who don't know if you want to ride, we're having a ride free day on Monday, Memorial Day, May 25th. Okay. Uh right at the park, Hecksha State Park. No registration, just show up. Wear long pants, long sleeves, over the ankle boots. We provide the helmet, the gloves, the motorcycle, one on one training. We'll get you on a bike. You'll see if you like riding. Hopefully, you'll get your feet up, and it's all free. Oh, there you go. Beautiful, man.
SPEAKER_02That's an awesome, an awesome thing. And you're learning and Pat, you teach over there now, right?
SPEAKER_04No, I do not.
SPEAKER_02No, you don't teach God. He helps. How do you help, Pat?
SPEAKER_04Um, well, one thing you gotta do is you got you gotta sit there and place the cones because you gotta learn how to rub maneuver properly. Right. Because the most important thing is like because anybody can go 60 miles per hour. Right. That doesn't take a skill. The skill is a lot of your slow speeds, learning from stop to start, being able to make the make the turns proper so you're not dumping the bike.
SPEAKER_02Right, right, right.
SPEAKER_04You know, um they also they also teach you. It's like the best, you know, the thing we've all dealt with is when you s when somebody stops short in front of you. You gotta be able to be prepared and have that education to know what to do when that happens.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you bet yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_04You know, and and and that's basically gonna learn how to change lanes.
SPEAKER_02So so if you had any advice for a new rider, Diane, what would you have to say to them?
SPEAKER_13I'd say take some training, even if you already have your license, you know, get out there and practice before the season starts. Get out there, take your bike, do a little friction zone, you know, in first gear, in your driveway, go around the block, refresh your skills. You know, make sure your bike's in good shape, that you're mentally into the riding, right? You know, that that you feel good, and you're riding legal. Nothing's worse than being out there and worried about that police car coming up next to you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, absolutely correct on that. You know what I mean? And knowing you're legal is the best part, also.
SPEAKER_04There's that peace of mind that you can't put a price on.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely, man. So, you know what, it's it's fantastic what you do because the the younger riders are the ones that have to learn.
SPEAKER_13But the older riders, too.
SPEAKER_02They do, but the older riders know the old tricks if it's not good.
SPEAKER_13Right?
SPEAKER_02Am I right?
SPEAKER_13Well, here's the thing. Well, here's the thing.
SPEAKER_02I would probably fail my last my test right now. I'll tell you.
SPEAKER_04Well, here's the thing. You could be doing something for 20 years, doesn't mean you've been doing it right. This is true. I mean, there is, I can tell you now from from experience from experience now, since I've been through the school, it's like they teach you right away. The best thing is getting somebody as a blank slate, because when you've got someone who's been riding for a while, they're gonna sit there and basically go, well, I've never done this. Well, doesn't mean there may be a reason why you haven't done this. Yeah. This is how you learn the right way. Exactly. And that's the most important thing, is just having yourself educated.
SPEAKER_02You're right. And what's funny about that is I've been driving a truck for 40 years. I've better if I took a road test, but now I'd fail.
SPEAKER_13All of us, half the island. Yeah, yeah. Have you seen them riding out there in their car?
SPEAKER_02I know I'm not doing anything I should be doing when I'm driving my truck, that's for sure. And talking about food, and John's out there, Sideshow, and Tara and Pitbull. Talk about food. So I'm in Texas, me and Dawn are in Texas, and we get invited onto their show. They do a show out down by Dallas. So forget about the cupcakes. They have fucking barbecue ribs, pulled pork, mac and cheese. They had a whole spread. Now, it isn't in there, it's in front of me. All right. Okay, so now we're doing a show, and I got all this food in front of me, ribs. Whatever I want is right there. So now how hard it was to be like, yeah, man, I know you're talking about what's that sound uh that I'm hearing on the microphone. It was fantastic.
SPEAKER_04So but they were diet ribs over there.
SPEAKER_02That's right. They were diet ribs, so they were good. Perfect for me, you know. So let's say hi to Darlene, real quick, and uh see what she's got going on in the rock and vaca world. What's up, Darlene?
SPEAKER_11Hey guys. Um, so much is happening, Johnny. So we got our brand new website. I don't know if you could pop it up there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I will put it up for you right now. Hold on. Thank you. What I'll do is I'll I'll do this, Darlene. I'll put you here like that, and then I'll do this. How'd that look? All right.
SPEAKER_11Ah, yes.
SPEAKER_02There it is.
SPEAKER_11There's our brand new website. And if you go up to the right hand corner, there is a button that says shop now. So everyone nationwide that has been waiting to get Raka Vaca, and we have not been able to uh service your area. You can now go online and get out one of our Raka Vaca collections, either the original bottle, the Tunnel to Towers bottle, which$5 every bottle goes to Tunnel to Towers. This is our amazing um Daytona 500 champion series. We have the amazing D Snyder, and that's the store right there. You click it, you buy it, and it gets shipped to you. We're so excited about our new website.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's beautiful. That is beautiful. These bottles are absolutely fantastic, and now I see you got the D Snyder in a clear bottle, too, as well.
SPEAKER_11Yes, everything is now clear, so we have to redo all the commercials you have. Oh, Joe Hod will be clear.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's all good.
SPEAKER_11If you go down to the bottom there, that rock vaca box.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I'm trying. My mouse is not cooperating with me.
SPEAKER_11Of course. That's a three-pack drive up. So we have one Ernie Urban, one Jeff Fodine, and one Sterling Marlin in that pack. So that's probably gonna sell in the stores anywhere between, depending upon the liquor store, uh, anywhere from$99 to 199 to$110. Again, it'll depend upon the state. But we are gonna start to have the drivers out. Our first event with the guys is at Watkins Glen on uh May the 9th. If anybody from the area, come on up. If you're in Elmira and the Cascals, take a ride up. Uh got a bunch of liquor stores where the guys are gonna be.
SPEAKER_02Oh, nice. That's a that's a collector's item, too. These bottles are collectors items. I got them over here, I don't know if you can see them. But they're collectors items and they're be they're beautiful. And the vodka is you guys drink vodka? Uh huh. You know, they're all like, hey, where's ours?
SPEAKER_11Uh I'll stop by and see them. I live uh not far, so I'll stop by and uh bring a couple bottles to you guys together.
SPEAKER_02Can they bring some vodka to your event? Is that okay? Can they hey what happens after you stop by is uh out of my hands.
SPEAKER_11Uh you gotta uh drink responsibly always for after the event. Um bring some um on that date. And uh I had another announcement, which I think you know, Johnny, but I got my first great congratulations on Fry on Friday. So excited. He was a big boy, nine pounds. Wow, yeah, great grandma.
SPEAKER_02Great grandma.
SPEAKER_11You're too young to be a great grandma. What is this? I I know, I know. My granddaughter's young, but very smart and uh intuitive.
SPEAKER_02That's awesome. Well, congratulations. That's fantastic, darling.
SPEAKER_11Thank you.
SPEAKER_02And then and congratulations with Rock and Vaca looking so great. And this is one company that's really gonna take off. You know, they got so much potential with everything they have, their bottles. They don't no one, I've never met anybody who tasted it and was like, uh, everyone's like, where do I buy it? You know, and they got their ready-to-drink cans that are just they'll floor you. Just picture this. One of these ready-to-drink cans? Ice called Pat. You can't picture this because No, I'm not allowed. You're a quitter. So on the beach at Daytona, right? Over a glass of ice. Oh my god. This is amazing. So everything they have is great. So you gotta check out Rock and Vaca. Go on their website and uh check out everything they have. And you gotta map with all the little bottles. Wherever you see the little bottles is where they sell. So it's awesome. So again, congratulations, Darlene.
SPEAKER_11Thank you. Good night, guys. Good night, all right.
SPEAKER_02Darlene from Rock and Vaca. Definitely gonna try it. Good stuff, yes, Pat.
SPEAKER_04No, here's just a little funny odd tangent. Because you were talking about how I'm a quitter. Yeah. Uh, my first day in rehab, just because I've got this kind of sense of humor. I walked in with a t-shirt that said rehab is for quitters. There you go. There you go. They did not appreciate that at all. No.
SPEAKER_02You know, I shouldn't be drinking, man. You know how you guys uh celebrate Greek Easter by any chance? I did, yes. I had yesterday I had a great day at my girlfriend's family's house. We had a blast. They actually had a whole lamb.
unknownWe did goat.
SPEAKER_02You did a goat?
unknownMy neighbor.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I hear I got a video of mine. Where is he? Here he is. Look at this. Okay. Again, forget it. All right. Let me see. Yep, no, it ain't gonna work. But I'll get it. I'll get it back. But yeah, no, the whole this thing was uh a fantastic uh meal. I mean, they they cook, man. I mean we we had everything that you want. Hold on, I'm gonna look for this video. I'm gonna throw it up here. Oh, what do I do with it now? There you are. All right, get ready for this, guys. You're gonna love this. You're gonna be jealous. I tell you. There it is. Boom. You can't see it. Look at this thing. Look at that thing. They stuffed it with garlic, rosemary, pepper, salt, they every kind of all this stuff. Cool. Beautiful stuff, man. Beautiful stuff. So I want to thank uh Dawn's family for having me there. We had a good time. So, you know, I always celebrate Easter my whole life, and now it's like her family celebrate Greek Easter. So it's like two weeks in a row. You get that chocolate bunny. You know what I mean? You get the chocolate bunny. The diet chocolate bunny. The diet chocolate bunny.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_02And forget it.
SPEAKER_04And Greek Easter is the Diet Chocolate Lamb. That's right. Or the Diet Chocolate goat.
SPEAKER_02Well, no, what you gotta do is you get the Diet Chocolate Bunny. Then you get the Diet Peanut Butter. And then you dip it. And you have a Diet Reese's. Right? Am I right? That's right, yeah. Is that the most incredible thing ever?
unknownIt is.
SPEAKER_02No. So is there anything else you'd like to add to your event that's going on?
SPEAKER_03That's pretty much it. Come on down to get a tattoo in the pocket.
SPEAKER_02Yeah? You know, again, we're just I want to get my granddaughter on my own. Maybe I'll come down to that.
unknownTrying to bring awareness to who we are and what we do.
SPEAKER_02Right. It's fantastic what you guys do, man.
SPEAKER_03I don't realize you know that we're around. Uh, you know, real quick, we had a couple of success stories the last year and a half. Uh we went up to Connecticut uh for an impact statement that a victim gave. Uh her perpetrator got 79 years.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_03Uh we had another one recently in Long Island. And the one thing I have to say is, you know, we put a call out to our members. Uh you know, one we went to in Connecticut, there were about eight or nine of us that went. Right. Uh people from Niagara Falls, Massachusetts. You know, it's it's one bucket. Yeah. We all you know support the mission. And then we had a child out in Riverhead. Uh same thing. Uh our clerk got sentenced to over 75 years. Yeah. And you know, he's in jail now. So, you know, those those those are the ones for us.
SPEAKER_02Give a money to somebody after uh they go to jail and they get out and no, no, no, you know what?
SPEAKER_03Again, you you're dealing with cowards.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, no, come on, you're abusing a child. Really?
SPEAKER_03You know, you if you they're victims, right? They're not gonna come up to us.
SPEAKER_02No. That's not that sucks, man. But no, thank God for you guys, no, honestly. You know, thank God for guys like you and girls like you to protect the children, man, because they need it. Otherwise they wouldn't know where to turn. They wouldn't know, they'd be too afraid to t to say anything sometimes.
SPEAKER_14You know what I mean? Right. And it stays in silence and it stays hidden in the shadows, right? Unless these kids are the case is getting reported and somebody's reaching out for help.
SPEAKER_02Right. And they can actually get through this and have a normal life. Some of some of these kids who didn't have it can be messed up for the rest of their lives. You know what I mean? So what you guys do is just so important and so strong to the community. And it's fantastic, man.
unknownThank you.
Rider Training And Staying Legal
SPEAKER_02Awesome job, guys. So um, let's go back to Diane over there with the with the pot cupcakes.
SPEAKER_13No, no, no. The diet. I tell you, sometimes we're at Hecksha State Park, we're over there in Field Seven. It's beautiful. That's where we do the training. You're overlooking the Great South Bay, you see the Fire Island Lighthouse. Yeah. As it gets later in the day, people start coming, and the smell of the things they're smoking kind of wipes all over. All over the place. Yeah, all over the parking lot. Nice. Very interesting. But we have a great time over there helping people learn to ride and improve their skills. It's so much fun. And it and it's great to bring people into the motorcycle community. We try and let them know too, not just about the training part of it, but the whole community part of it. Sure. Like this group, like Long Island Abate, and many of them. Sure, it's such a big part of the motorcycle community, which is really is, and a lot of people are looking for that. They're not just looking to ride, they're looking for a community.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_13And it's so important, you know, that that they they get what they're looking for. So we try and give them more than just you know the minimum education. Right. We try and educate them in other ways as well. And by having this open house kind of free ride day, you know, we're hoping to get uh, you know, at least 50 people. We got 84 people last year to this one-day event. It starts at 10, ends at 2, and uh they just show up and just the the faces of the people who realize oh, this is fun. You know, this is fun. Oh, absolutely. They want to do it, they want to learn more about it. Sure. So it's a great way to welcome people into the motorcycle community.
SPEAKER_02And what a great combination when you guys and along on the bait, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04Well, again, the safety and the learning safety, awareness, and the big thing is awareness, awareness, awareness.
SPEAKER_02So absolutely, but unfortunately, the people that need the awareness are the ones that aren't riding, are the ones in the cars. Well, you gotta start teaching them young, you know, like punch buggy, but with motorcycles.
SPEAKER_04Well, that's what we're doing, what we're doing with a bait. I mean, Chris and Josephine and several other people now are going into the classrooms, they're going into the schools. Right. Well, we have a program now that's uh believe subsidized by New York State. And when the when the kid is uh doing driver's ed, they're now being taught how to look for motorcycles. So they're being taught at a very young age how to look. Because I mean, you'll you know, like I said, well we we're uh Hecksha State Parkers. You could literally through the course, you could stand you could stand across, hold up a pen, and the motorcycle disappears. Right. I mean Absolutely So the thing is you gotta teach, you know, you're teaching these kids how to ride and how to look. And you guys do the parking lot practice, right? Yes, we have the parking lot practice right. So I believe that's almost like every Saturday, uh last Saturday you know of the month.
SPEAKER_02Right, but again, Saturday, 7 a.m. I know what I'm saying. I want to kill Chris for that. So like, hey, you're gonna go to Parking Law Put this tomorrow? No. All right.
SPEAKER_04I can't really make much excuses because it's literally right around the corner from me. Right. Because I live right in Hodesville, so it's literally still.
SPEAKER_02I gotta put my pants on. That's that just sucks on the weekends. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04Well, I will sit there and say when the last time they had it, it's like I look, I I got up a little early, I stepped outside. It was the first number was a three. I didn't care what the second number was. Yeah. It's 30 something. I'm going back to bed. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Chris, I love you. I love everyone who does it.
SPEAKER_02But Chris, he was supposed to call into that. I don't know what happened to him. But hey, he does what he does, right?
SPEAKER_04It's amazing. It's amazing what he does. A lot of people don't see what he does.
SPEAKER_02Do you know what's great? Because you got Chris, you got Josephine, you got you, you know, along on the beat. You don't need me. So that's the best part. You know what I'm saying? I do this. All right. When I first started doing a motorcycle show, I'm thinking, do a motorcycle show. Like, like you ever go to 99 and watch them, they're drinking beers on there having fun. So I'm like, I'll be drinking beers. Look, I'm drinking fucking water. All right. And I don't see them getting up at 7 o'clock in the morning, you know, like, what the fuck? You know what I mean? You gotta do this. I gotta do it. I mean, all right. I mean, I definitely will promote it, but I'll definitely be younger on 12 o'clock. That's awesome, you know. Yeah, but yeah.
SPEAKER_04And a lot of events on the long on do start, you know, the sign-ups start at nine. A lot of them. You know, it's so it's like and I know, and I know like Josephine will call. Like, I get told that I don't I don't get to volunteer anymore. I'm voluntoled. Right, right. You know, so yeah, that's it. You're in. Yeah, so it's kind of like, okay, so Pat, you you're not you're free this Saturday, right? It's like, oh no. It's like, well, well, I am now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you have no choice. By the way, it isn't like, hey Pat, are you free? No, hey Pat, you're gonna be at this event on Saturday.
SPEAKER_04Pretty much, yeah. Yeah, but it's fun. I mean, I can't. But I will say, I mean, it's a lot of fun, and like I said, you're interacting with the community.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I will say this, Pat. I'll get up and go to the bathroom, I'll look in the mirror and say, fuck Pat, man. Have a good day. I'm sorry. I am going back to bed, you know, especially in these cold months. Yeah, yeah, it was a rough winter. It was a rough winter. Brutal winter. When you got still riding the winter too, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we mean we've had kids that, you know, we'll do a level one January and February. I think two years ago, we had so many winter uh level ones that we were in 20 degree weather, snow. Uh you know, it's important for the kids to see the bikes, so you know, we do what we have to.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely, man. They have to see the bikes. They gotta learn what it is all about, also, and plus the bikes help when the guy who's abusing them, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04So oh, by the way, uh Sideshow. I mean, uh Pitbull said I start texting sideshow at 5 a.m. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02So dude, I I love side, I love Pitbull, you know. I'd have to kill him. Sorry. I mean, you know me and Don't still want to get out of bed on the weekends, especially when it's like a bad weekend, like snowing down. No, man.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, but those 95 degree degree days are coming. Yeah, and then I want to put the AC on. It's nice. It's nice at 7:30. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I know this. No, a perfect riding day is like the 70s, man. It's like get out there and you when you first start going, you feel it hit you, and you're like, yeah, that's beautiful, you know. And then you go for breakfast and you eat. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I will sit there and say a couple of um when I would do uh the Saturday and Sunday mornings when I was uh working with Big Apple, uh Lesia, the best part was you when you're riding at like 6 a.m., it's like there's nobody on the road. Yeah, just perfect. Like, that is good. That is good. But it only sucks when you get in there and you just gotta sit there. You gotta watch for the deer. Because the deer are up and there you see them all over the place. And it's not like one or two, you're talking about like six.
SPEAKER_02The potholes. The potholes and the a-holes. When I went to Michigan, I rode the motorcycle around Lake Michigan one time, and I have never seen so many, like it was like a movie. Like 30 deer, you know what I mean? And then these wild turkeys. So I come to a stop sign, I'm on the bike, and I look at the turkey and he looks at me, right? I look at him, he looks at me. So I go to go, he goes to go. So I stop. And I see him. He actually melted. Go ahead, motherfucker. I saw I saw him say, I swear. So I go again, he goes again. So I stop. I'm like, well, go. You want to cross? He was fucking with me. And I'm not kidding. This wild thing, he was he was about three feet tall, biggest truck you ever see. I'm like, dude, dude, I know how to handle the barbecue. And I just so you know.
SPEAKER_04I was just thinking, you should pull out a thing of gravy, that'll scare him off.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. And then they got the deer. The deer was like a party going on. Like, hey, hey, no, no, drop the funny and shitting. And then I got my buddy who lives in Michigan, so he knows how to ride Michigan. I'm shitting my pants. Like, whoa, what's that? How was that?
SPEAKER_04He oh my god, I didn't have a man. Johnny thinks it's a horror movie. The deer's gonna come at him with the uh bucks.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, right. I thought even banjos is a deer playing it. Like, he's like, come here, you look but you look but good in them jeans. That motorcycle looks not on you. Look at my horns.
SPEAKER_03They're getting better. I mean, they're gonna have to do something soon now. They usually do.
SPEAKER_02Uh I gotta say that um Jody the guy said Bach's mics aren't on. But Jody, their mics are on. They're just choosing not to talking to him. That's the problem I'm having here. No.
SPEAKER_04I can see the blue dot. The blue dot is on.
SPEAKER_02If I can see the blue dot, yeah. That means you're talking to the wrong side. Okay? How's that? You're on the wrong side. There you go, you go.
unknownThe blue dot's right there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So now I'm gonna have to put like Google Translate on this later. What do you call it? All the uh the words come up. Close captioning later.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, there you go.
SPEAKER_02Um oh man. So the 99's watching. Everybody for the 99's watching the show tonight.
SPEAKER_04Which we say thank you.
SPEAKER_02We love that, man. And uh me and John want to start something, some kind of show. The two of us, two idiots, maybe awesome. We're gonna call it like talking bullshit in the Johns or something. I don't know. We'll figure it out.
SPEAKER_04But uh How many different shows do you have anyway? When do you have the time for all this?
SPEAKER_02You know, I do a two-hour rock show with with Bella with Dawn, and we're on Rock Rage Radio, which is all over the country, and and then we do the same two-hour rock show, basically, but I change all the bumpers. And that's played in the UK and Germany and Australia.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he doesn't allow me on that show.
SPEAKER_02No, no, your music sucks. There's nothing wrong with my music. Now listen, you hear like that girl that you heard we had on the show tonight, yeah. What the fuck? It's a love song. That ain't no goddamn love song. What the fuck is that? I'll tell you, you know? But no, so we do that show. Plus, we do we, me and you, do the FM show.
SPEAKER_04Yes, we do the FM show.
SPEAKER_02Uh on on at the one that's at the airport that we do here now.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_02And then we got uh the OBBM, we just did that one.
SPEAKER_04Yes, we did.
SPEAKER_02And then we got this show, and then we have all the shows that we put on uh the podcast, which all these shows do on the podcast.
SPEAKER_04No. Johnny's like a plague, he shuts everywhere.
SPEAKER_02We know it doesn't matter what I'm doing. My girlfriend keeps me busy 24-7.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, well, there you go.
SPEAKER_02We're rocking and rolling. It's constantly, you know, making a flyer or something, you know.
SPEAKER_04You started planning for that already, didn't you?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We have one coming up, actually. Um, May 3rd.
SPEAKER_04May 3rd. Boogie for the boobies.
SPEAKER_02Boogie for the boobies. I don't know if you guys ever went to the one last year. Uh this one here, me find a flyer for this. Boogie for the boobies. Boom. It's gonna be a great day, man. It's gonna be at Whiskey Rocks in West Babylon, TC's place.
SPEAKER_04You're looking forward to that. That's a good place.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they got some great bands. They got uh paper dolls, red hot, all female Motley Crue band, which is awesome.
Real-World Riding Hazards And Stories
SPEAKER_04I've seen that they are amazing.
SPEAKER_02Sister of a Down.
unknownIs that a ride, or it's just uh
SPEAKER_02No right. It's just uh it's uh it's a woman's day. That's what they're doing. Yeah it's women who rock. And all the female bands are playing. Dawn's band's playing Mistress of Evil. Yep. Uh Jet Black is a uh uh Joan Jet trivia um trivia uh tribute band. Right? Um who else is playing there? I can't see that other one. Uh it's too small. But anyway, but they have a lot of great stuff going on, a lot of raffles going on. There'll be food, great day of uh music. So come on down to Whiskey Rocks at the West Babylon. No, fuck that. No. We we got we're doing the bike. We're doing the bike at Rockin' for Rockin' the Road, the actual run that we're doing in October. Wouldn't that be awesome?
SPEAKER_04What's that?
SPEAKER_02If we got the 99% radio network here to do it, to do it.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I would love to have them here.
SPEAKER_02To have these guys come here and do that run with us, we'd set up some booths and do some radio and both shows mixed together. Yes, of course. That would be great if the 99 got on an airplane. Like Motors like a man got on an airplane, went there.
SPEAKER_04And I'm like, Oh, to be fair, no, you got on the plane. I didn't get on the plane.
SPEAKER_02No, that's true. No, actually, to be fair, we went to go visit Dawn Sun, but we ended up in Dallas.
SPEAKER_04You just happened to be there, yeah.
SPEAKER_02We just happened to be there, and you know. But no, they mentioned ribs, you know? They said ribs, I said, we're going. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04So we drove Dawn Sun was such a side side attraction.
SPEAKER_02We drove four hours to get there. Paper dolls, that's the name of the other band. Um, no, what's the one in purple? Not paper dolls, don't say the other one. Oh, jealous dogs. Jealous Dogs. That's the other band. I don't know what they play, but it's gonna be good. All female. But we went to um to where they do their show out in Dallas, and it was a cool town called Grapevine. Have you heard it? Like here, I heard it through the Grapevine. Coolest little fucking town. And then they took us to this bar, which we just like an awesome, like all-time biker bar, you know, with the upstairs that went around the top and all that shit, like a Weston. That was a great experience. But I Glenn Larson, uh Glenn Larson, you gotta buy tickets. Glenn Larson's their lawyer that that represents their show. He does a great job. The Wolf Pack. I always wanted to do that, but I couldn't do it on this show.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But um, no, you guys, that'd be great, man, if you guys came out for that. But let's go do another commercial and then finish this up over here. So don't go no way, everybody. We're gonna be right back right after this message.

SPEAKER_04Thanks for the heads up, Johnny. Yeah, I have it down. I'm watching it like, oh, by fourth. Whoa. Anyway, we're having a conversation. You know, the all of a sudden, motorcycle mayhem. Good morning. Good morning.
SPEAKER_02It's diet vodka. That's right. That's okay. We ate brownies. So we're helping Johnny is how we're doing. There's something with the brownies. I just don't get though, you know. But um, yeah, I'll give you a quick um It's funny. What is there to get? A quick peek of yesterday, really quick. Yeah, the aftermath. Look at this. There it is. Greek Easter. I love Greek Easter now. Awesome. What we needed there was cotton candy.
SPEAKER_13I love Greek Easter.
SPEAKER_02Yeah?
SPEAKER_13Yeah. When my kids were little, I could get candy at half price or 90% off, like it is today at CVS. For Greek Easter, because it's always after Passover. There you go.
SPEAKER_02Sweet.
SPEAKER_13That's right.
SPEAKER_02There you go. Alright, so let's come back. That was Angelo preparing after it was cooked, he was cutting it up. And uh good good stuff. Manja. What the hell is that? That John is a uh a lamb. Alright? It was a lamb, but if there was any, like if I'm Italian, if I was having Greek Easter, we'd have broken leg a lamb. You know what I'm saying? No. All good. But it was a great show, guys. You guys want to finish man to tell you us about your event one more time there? Let us know the date and what's gonna happen and about the cotton candy. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_14Wild Child Tattoo in Merrick on Saturday, April 25th, and Sunday, April 26th from 12 to 5. We'll be there. They'll be offering a whole bunch of different flash tattoo options and then donating a portion back to the chapter. So come on by. We'll have popcorn, cookies, cotton candy. Pit stop is right next door, and they're offering some deals, plus tattoos and motorcycles. So not really anything you can do much better than that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, of course not.
SPEAKER_15And a whole bunch of us are gonna get tattoos that day. Are you?
SPEAKER_02You got backup tattoos?
Second Ads Break
SPEAKER_15Are we gonna get we we just pick out a tattoo and then we all get magic tattoos? Do you really? It's become a tradition now. That's cool.
SPEAKER_02That's excellent. And you get on different parts of your body, or everyone got the same in the arms? Everybody has different things.
SPEAKER_13You have something picked out yet, or I think I think one of these logos.
SPEAKER_02There you go.
SPEAKER_15No, but if you um, you know, you want to come by, you want to learn about what we do, right? You know, you want to just come by, say hello and whatnot, get a tattoo, buy some merch. Um, or if you need help, right? We'll be there.
SPEAKER_14And then on Sunday, if you have little ones, bring the kids down. We're gonna be doing tattoos for kids. So we'll do the glitter test.
