June 8, 1989. The rental car climbed to the crest of Peter’s Creek Mountain and came to a stop. It was an isolated, abandoned place; perfect for lovers in search of privacy. But this night would not end in a tryst–it would end with a murder.
She was his informant; he was her handler. Eventually their professional relationship became a sexual one. Only two people know the whole story, and one of them is dead.
This is the life and death of Susan Daniels Smith.
