Case 035: The Costa Concordia Disaster

Cabin 13

January 13, 2012. The Costa Concordia departed Civitavecchia with 4,229 people on board. Traveling on this luxury cruise ship was more than a vacation, it was an experience.

But just before 9:45pm that night, the Costa Concordia struck a reef off the coast of Giglio Island.

With an electrical blackout, compartments flooding, and passengers in a panic, everyone wanted to know: where the hell was the captain?
