What messages do you find yourself speaking over and over? Where did it come from? For a lot of us, messages were engrained from our childhood. Our inner child. Today, as we get close to closing out 2022 and begin a new chapter in 2023, I wanted to share 6 things we can say to our Inner Child to find the healing we need.
This episode in part was a reflection after hearing of Stephen "tWitch" Boss' death. I share a bit of my personal story and I pray that it will give you permission to also find healing that you need. If you or anyone you know are struggling with suicide, please call or text 988. Help is there for you.
Thank you for being with us this year. I can't wait to see what God has in store for us in 2023. Happy New Year!

Have you ever said to yourself, "this is NOT how I pictured this going." While I feel we make the manger story look cute for this holiday season, it is a story where all Mary and Joseph were thinking is: this is NOT how I thought this would be. Yet, despite HOW it all happened, God reminded them that they were on the right track. That God was still with them. And that now the world will know of this Messiah.
What is your manger story? I'm sure there are one million different ways the story could have gone, but my prayer is that regardless of how your story looks that you will know without a shadow of a doubt that this season is where our 'Emmanuel' was born. The 'God WITH us' stepped down from heaven so that He can be with you now. God whispers to you today, it is all going to be okay.

Have you been there?? Maybe you are "there" right now? I totally get it. I've been there and recently, as I journey through some disappointments in this season of life I have had to ask myself, who am I truly disappointed with? You see...God is always God. He has always been there and has always come through. The disappointment is primarily that it just did not go according "to plan". I recently posted to my social media this phrase that came to mind: NOTHING went as planned...yet God was present and answered our prayers.
On today's episode we share a special prayer from the book "My Heart Ever His:Prayers for Women" by Barbara Rainey and it is titled "Disappointed with God?" Take a listen and allow this prayer to uncover and heal parts of your heart that need healing. Healing is a process and I know this prayer will feed your soul.

I had a Tio Rafael, this cute Cuban uncle, whom I grew up loving very much. And every Thanksgiving we had this tradition of reading Psalm 100. I share that tradition in reading it with you this week. May God bless you and be with you as you enjoy this Thanksgiving Holiday.

Today we are looking at Haggai 1:5-6 and seeing how this text can apply to our lives today. What in your life needs "careful thought" and how can we rebuild the temple and return to worshipping our God?

For a lot of people, you may think of music or worship songs as being something that is only done on a stage in front of people. For those of you who lead worship and who are musicians, you can probably say that music and worship has shaped your life significantly. It has for me. On this week's episode we are talking with singer-songwriter and guitarist Kyla Simone. She is incredibly talented and has a passion for inspiring her listeners to fearlessly pursue their purpose. Grab your coffee and pull up a chair, you don't want to miss this episode!

This week's episode is soooooo good! If anyone knows me and my story - I have had to truly look at the definition of health for me and my life. For so long, I defined being healthy as being "skinny" and restricting my foods. When I would hear the word 'health' I would equate it with punishment. Well, I have asked two amazing people, a power couple - Jamil and Vanessa Hairston, who are experts to join me on my podcast this week as we talk about what health truly means. Jamil is a certified personal trainer, nutrition, coaching and body building. Vanessa is a pastor and health enthusist. Through their guidance and training I have been able to view health through a different lens - what it means in terms of having energy to play with my son Wally, how often my body gets sick and how I feel overall mentally. And there are 5 Things you can do TODAY to start making a positive change in your health. Join us on this conversation.

I want to share some things I have learned about life and God through Motherhood. Can I be honest? Motherhood is NOT at all what I expected. I dreamed of my tummy growing, I dreamed of the baby shower, I dreamed of the nursery…but EVERYTHING else that came after….NO CLUE!!

I feel like someone needs to hear these words: DON’T FREAK OUT ABOUT WHAT HASN’T HAPPENED YET. We spend so much energy and emotion with comparison, day dreaming, distraction and not enough time to actually be present and focusing on what God is calling us to do. Why do we always allow our emotions to dictate what we do? because we don’t practice listening to God’s voice. So many of us are not living IN our dream/full potential/our calling because we are too busy living IN FEAR. I hope this podcast inspires you to live a PRESENT life.
