You’re listening to Remarkable Receptions – a podcast about popular and critical responses to African American novels and more.

 Well, here we are.

This episode marks our 100th episode. That’s right. 100 episodes on novels, films, authors, comic books, recurring major topics, literary data work, representations of slavery, and hey, one of my favorite subjects: the rising significance of voice actors. You name it, we’ve tried to cover it.

Big shout out to our 26 script writers. And much love to you, our audience, some of whom listened to all our episodes. We thank you, we thank you, we thank you, 100 times.

Rather than spend this whole episode basking in the glow of what we’ve produced, we want to look forward to the next 100 episodes.

We plan to bring you much more concerning African American literature and literary studies. We’ll talk about the production and reception of novels by Black writers beyond the United States. We’ll focus on short stories, too, not just novels.

Of course, we intend to continue producing episodes about comic books, films, streaming services, audiobooks, paintings, and various other creative modes in relation to the reception of Black artistic productions. We’ll also highlight adaptations of Black books to television.

Finally, you can expect to encounter episodes that reflect on what podcasting as a medium means for responding to the works of novelists and other creators.

For the last 100 episodes and the next 100, you’re listening to Remarkable Receptions – a podcast about popular and critical responses to authors, short stories, graphic novels, television shows, photographers, literary scholars, and more.
