Ep.18 What You Want and Who You Want to Become
Welcome to the first episode of our three-part podcast series on goal setting. In this episode, we delve into a crucial goal-setting aspect: framing it as becoming your identity rather than solely focusing on achievements.
We start by debunking the myth that we must wait until the year's beginning to set goals. Just like any other habit, goal setting can become a part of our daily lives. Once we establish the routine of setting goals, there's no need to wait for a specific date to embark on transforming our lives.
Defining who you want to become is the key to sustaining motivation during challenging times. When things get tough, knowing your desired identity acts as a powerful driving force to keep you on track toward your goals.
Next, we explore an effective exercise: creating a list of things you want, evaluating your current habits and possessions, and then redeciding what you want to keep, eliminate, or develop. This exercise helps you align your actions with your dreams and the person you aspire to be.
To support you in this journey, we provide worksheets that were used during a workshop in this episode. These worksheets serve as valuable tools to help you map out your goals and navigate your path toward personal growth.
Tune in to our next episode, where we'll delve deeper into the process of setting specific and meaningful goals. Remember, it's not just about the destination; it's about the person you become along the way. Start shaping your future today.
