Money is Not Your Problem
If you've ever said "I'm just bad with money" — this podcast is for you.
Money Is Not Your Problem is for capable, hardworking women who are tired of starting over, avoiding their numbers, and wondering why nothing seems to stick. The truth is, financial struggle rarely comes down to math. It comes down to patterns, beliefs, and the stories we carry about what we deserve or what's even possible for us.
Each episode gives you something real: a financial concept explained simply, a mindset shift worth sitting with, and a practical step you can take before the week is out.
I'm Madeleine Strasburg — Financial and Life Coach, former math teacher, and founder of Strasburg Coaching. With a Master of Education, over 20 years of teaching personal finance, and certifications from Ramsey Solutions and The Life Coach School, I've worked with women at every stage of the financial journey. I know what it looks like to be smart and responsible yet still feel completely stuck with money.
This podcast is built on one core belief: money management is a learnable skill. Not a personality trait. Not a moral score. A skill — and you can build it.
New episodes every other week. Subscribe so you don't miss one.

Ep.42💡 Reset Your Finances Without Panic —Even in a Hard Season
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Feeling crushed by rising costs and shrinking paychecks? In this episode, I walk you through the exact 3-step strategy I used during a financially tight season and how you can apply it to your own life starting today, while maintaining emotional stability.
3-Step Strategy
✨ Step 1: Pause and don’t panic.
Pausing can help us avoid rash decisions and allow the problem-solving part of the brain to engage. You can do the same — when you feel overwhelmed, stop, breathe, and look at the facts. This reminds you of what things are in your control and helps you decide the next steps.
✨ Step 2: Cut non-essentials
What are the items or services that you could cut out, for now, or try to find a more budget-friendly option to replace the one that is weighing down your budget?
✨ Step 3: Get creative with solutions.
Can't cut much? Negotiating or doing some research can help you get a better rate on items that support the life and well-being of your family. Find creative ways to stretch your resources — maybe it’s adjusting frequency, bundling services, or trading with friends. There’s often more flexibility than we first think.
🎧 By following these three steps — pause, cut, and negotiate, and being creative — you can face tight times with confidence, clarity, and action.
