Tyler Gleckler

Today I’m honored to be speaking with Avi Loeb. Avi is the former chair of the astronomy department at Harvard University, and is the current director of the Institute for Theory and Computation at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the founding director of the Harvard University Black Hole Initiative, and the head of the Galileo Project. Beyond his academic work, Avi has also become a major figure in the world of science communication, having written several books including his most recent best seller “Extraterrestrial: The First Sign of Intelligent Life Beyond Earth” and has a new book scheduled for publication later in 2023 titled “Interstellar”. On top of all this, Avi has appeared on many of the biggest media outlets, and writes regularly on his blog, covering a range of topics and ideas that are at the heart of his work.
