Holy spirit

Dez: [00:00:00]

Hey, everybody. Hey, everyone. Welcome back to Walk the Talk with Dozen Carlos. Hope everybody is having a great week whenever you are listening to this. We are here, it is I believe November 2nd, we're recording this and it feels a lot like Christmas is tomorrow because it's so cold right now. The temperature dropped like crazy.

So I'm here wearing a sweater and

Carlos: it's interesting to sleep under the warm

Dez: blankets. Oh, it was. It was amazing. But it was like 80 degrees a week ago. So welcome to Connecticut, I guess. Right. So as always we're gonna start with something funny. And if anybody knows me, they know I like corny dad jokes. So you might hear some corny dad jokes from me and you're just gonna have to deal with me.

So this one says, who was the most business savvy woman in the Bible? [00:01:00] Pharaoh's daughter who went down to the bank of the Nile and pulled out a little profit.

That's funny, I like it, I love silly

Carlos: jokes like that. And now a little bit of wisdom, a quote from the book of Proverbs chapter 3 verses 11 and 12. One of my favorite couple verses. And it says, my son do not despise the chastening of the Lord. nor detest his correction. For whom the Lord loves, He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights.

Correction does not feel good. So true. Well, it's happening, but it does us good.

Dez: Good wisdom. There's always so much wisdom in Proverbs. Mm hmm. I think it's Pastor Sarah that says a proverb a day keeps the devil away. That's good. I love her. She loves her Proverbs. All right. [00:02:00] So this week we are talking about something that is vital to us. every believer out there. We're talking about the Holy Spirit.

Yes.

Carlos: Today is our 50th episode. And 50 is the number of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came on the 50th day, the day of Pentecost. So we figured we'd make this episode about Him. Very

Dez: good. So when we were talking about this topic and what we were gonna... Actually chat about and stuff. There's a whole lot.

So we'll try to get it all in. If not, we'll do another episode if we need to. But the Holy Spirit is so much, so many things to us. When we were talking about this, I got to thinking about my own life and my own walk. And when I As far back as I can remember, that Holy Spirit was with me and was [00:03:00] helping me.

And I realized, I was telling Carlos that, I feel like I feel like Holy Spirit was with me even before I realized it. I can recall times as a child when I just felt that helping, you know, the comfort. So many things that Holy Spirit brings you, but I didn't realize at the time. And when I got older and really, really, really got filled with the Spirit, I guess if you want to call it that way, and really knew who Holy Spirit was.

It was then that I, I realized, well, I feel like I, you've been with me forever, you know, and Holy Spirit has so many different functions. And I want to read here, I want to say it's, it's John 14, 16 through 17 in the Passion. And there was a couple of footnotes that I also wanted to read that when you and I were reading, it [00:04:00] was very, very, um, Very timely and very, very interesting.

Yeah. So it says, and I will ask the Father, this is Jesus speaking, and I will ask the Father and he will give you another Savior, the Holy Spirit of truth, who will be to you a friend just like me, and he will never leave you. The world won't receive him because they can't see him or know him, but you know him intimately because he remains with you and will live inside you.

So the first footnote, It says here, the Greek word allos means another of the same kind. So when he's saying he will give you another, another of the same kind, as Jesus is the Savior from the guilt of sin, the Holy Spirit is the Savior who saves us from the power of sin by living through us in fullness.

That is so powerful. Isn't it? Oh, I love it. I was like, I love

Carlos: these footnotes. You know, when I think about that, I think about how many True believers struggle for so long, for years, with certain things [00:05:00] and don't realize that it is Holy Spirit who can help us with those things. That's right. As we humble ourselves, God's Spirit comes in His fullness and helps us in those areas.

Dez: That is the truth. He really does. Like those moments like, I'm sure you've had them, we've all had them where you're just like, it's such a struggle at the moment and you learn to lean on Holy Spirit and He helps you in ways you can't even like, you can't even put it into words. So this is the second part, the second footnote, which comes after the word Savior.

And I love this. And this is also the Passion Translation if I didn't say that. So the footnotes in the Passion Translation are, if you ever are reading it, read the footnotes because they're so, it brings such depth. to the Greek. So it says the Greek word used here is parakletos, a technical word that could be translated defense attorney.

It means one called to stand next to you as a [00:06:00] helper. Various translations have rendered this counselor, comforter, advocate. Encourager, intercessor, or helper. However, none of these words alone are adequate and fall short in explaining the full meaning. This translation has chosen the word Savior, for it depicts the role of the Holy Spirit to protect, defend, and save us from our self and our enemies, and keep us whole and healed.

He is the one who guides and defends, comforts and consoles. Keep in mind that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. our savior. Yeah. The Aramaic word is perta, which is taken from two root words, Prague to end, finish or to save. And lita, which means the curse. What a beautiful word. Picture. The Holy Spirit comes to end the work of the curse of sin in our lives.

Wow. Save us from its every effect. Parata means a redeemer who ends the curse. Wow. [00:07:00] So powerful. Man, I was reading this and I'm just like, Oh my Lord, it just so describes Holy Spirit so perfectly. And, and it, it just resonates in you because when you know Holy Spirit for yourself, it's like talking about a good friend and somebody describes certain things about them and things that only you know.

And you're like, yes, that's who he is. And that's, it describes it so perfectly. So that was what I wanted to start with for a scripture. And like the footnotes were saying there, there's so many things that Holy Spirit. Can be to us. I know for myself. You and I have talked about this. Holy Spirit has been a counselor, a friend, literally a trainer, a teacher, a comforter.

So many things. So, so many things. It brings you conviction. Yeah. That's one I have here in my notes here. How many times have you either gone to a place [00:08:00] or you're thinking about doing something and you feel that, I always say it's like that check in your spirit that something's like, nope. Yeah. And you might not even always understand why a lot of times you don't, but if you learn to listen to that, the voice of Holy Spirit will become louder.

I remember when I first started really learning about hearing. His voice. I didn't understand and I would ask people. Well, how do you how do you know it's his voice? How do you know it's God's voice? How do you know? It's not just yourself and I Personally can say when I first would listen to It's not listening with your ears.

It's a listening within you, with all of you. Like if you're here and you need to make a decision, it's like, okay, is this right for me? Is this what I should be doing? And, and be willing to hear and be willing to hear not just what you want to hear, but be willing to [00:09:00] hear even if it is contrary to what you are looking to hear.

And the more that you listen to those small little promptings, the more that you're going to, You hear them more often, and you learn to recognize that voice in your life. Hmm. Right? Yeah. And do you want to jump in with something or?

Carlos: No, I remember, um, I remember when I first received the Holy Spirit, when I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, that I spoke in tongues without end.

Like I remember the, that whole night. When I went home, I can hear my spirit speaking in tongues the whole night. And I had an experience where he showed me Things that needed to be dealt with. He showed me things that were inside me that needed to be dealt with. And from that moment on being [00:10:00] began a long process of him delivering me from those things.

Yes, but it was so powerful. I can Literally, I can feel his presence. It was like fire. I felt like a fire in my chest. It was amazing, but um, I will never forget that.

Dez: That's amazing. My experience when I first spoke in tongues was, it's funny, I wanted that for years. But I think because I dealt with so much fear in my life, for whatever the reason, it hindered me.

But I remember the There was, it was actually a friend of ours, uh, evangelist who came to the church at the time, and made a calling for people who wanted to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues.

Carlos: That was the same guy

Dez: that, uh. It was? That's so funny. Oscar. Yes. So, it was funny because I remember I was like, you know what, I'm gonna go up.

And every time they would have a calling for that or [00:11:00] something, I would go up. And even when I was in my own quiet time with God, I was always asking Him for that. And it was funny because it was something about the way that he helped me to to zone into the Holy Spirit that I, I have the Holy Spirit, but it was, I needed to tune in and listen.

Yeah. And I remember I was sitting there, it was like a time of worship, and that's always been my, my vein is worship. So it was during a time of worship and all of a sudden when he starts saying, if you listen, you'll hear the tongues, you'll hear the Holy Spirit within you. And I was like. Get out of here.

I'm like what like I wish I would have known that forever And he said he

Carlos: said just speak what you hear.

Dez: Yes He says even if it sounds just like a couple syllables or it sounds like gibberish Just just speak what you what you hear and it's a faith thing. I learned at that moment It is such a faith thing because I I spoke what [00:12:00] I I knew I was hearing within me, and as soon as I started speaking, it like erupted.

And I started just speaking in tongues. And I was, and it's changed. It's developed. Because just like any language, when you first are learning a language, it might sound choppy and kind of funny, but the more that you exercise and the more that you speak that language, it becomes, Yeah, you mature in it.

Yes. So it's changed obviously over the years, but that was my experience when that first happened and it was amazing. And what's funny is because I used to deal with so much fear and I know this has happened to other people where I started to and I almost like backed away after for a little bit. Cause I was like, Oh gosh, I sound stupid.

I sound so weird, but I had to get over like getting, like dealing with what people think. It was like, I don't care anymore. And that also helped me to break out of that too. Because you can't, you can't be thinking about what other people think of you [00:13:00] during those times. Like your heavenly language is so important.

Yes. And that the thing is the Holy Spirit uses that, like, what is that verse? I don't want to get it wrong, where the Holy Spirit. Speaks through you when you don't know what to say through groanings and utterings that we can't understand. Right, right. And, um, That's exactly it. When you're speaking in your heavenly language and you're praying in the spirit, praying in the will of God.

Yes, and you don't, you might not understand it. Sometimes you might because there have been times I know for myself I've been praying in the spirit, and I know exactly what I'm praying, but that doesn't always happen. And, and that's okay. It's a faith thing. We're praying what the Spirit of God wants us to pray at that moment.

And there's a lot of reasons for that.

Carlos: Yeah. Tongues edify your spirit, man. Yep. There's a lot of times when I'm personally going through some really hard times, and I don't even know what to pray. Like you just said, I don't know what to pray. [00:14:00] In the natural, but I begin to pray in my heavenly language, and all of a sudden, I get revelation, I get strength.

And from, from there, I, I'm able to go forward and I'm able to handle whatever it is I'm going through. But there is such a high value in that gift in itself, in speaking in tongues. Yes. I think, for the most part, the church has lost. We've lost, um, the revelation of that. We've lost that gifting. We tended to minimize it and not, and we put it down.

And that's something, and I know it's the work of the enemy, but that's something that, and I don't want to get too deep into this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, but, um, we underestimate. The power in speaking in our heavenly language.

Dez: That's true. That is very true. So another thing I wanted to talk about was, [00:15:00] and you mentioned it, you touched on it when you were talking about how in that moment, how Holy Spirit showed you things within you that needed to be dealt with or healed.

Yeah. That's something I, one of the things I have here is Holy Spirit helps you in the area of transformation. Yeah. So Holy Spirit works within us to transform our character. Yes. And the ultimate goal is having God's character. God's desire is to make us more like him so that when people look at us, when we walk around, when we go to the grocery store and we smile or we greet somebody or we do something, God just resonates like all through us.

Like every part of our being is like, wow, people notice something different about you. And I've had that happen to me so many different times. Or I just help somebody with something and they're just like thrown back like Oh my gosh, because people don't do that, unfortunately. The world we live in, a lot of people are not [00:16:00] looking to help others and looking to see what they can do to help someone.

Most people are out for themselves. So when you are walking in that place with Holy Spirit, it's the society we've become. It's sadly, yes. But when you're walking with Holy Spirit. on a regular basis. And, and we're supposed to walk, like I said, on a daily basis, on a constant basis. When you hear about dwelling with God, it's dwelling in his spirit.

It's constant having that constant communion and walking with him that you're opening yourself completely, your thoughts, your emotions, the things that you do. He's involved in every part of your life. And when you live that way, you're going to change because Holy Spirit will pinpoint things, pinpoint thoughts, if you give Holy Spirit that access to your life.

And that's why it's so important to, like for myself, I can say on [00:17:00] a regular basis, I'm constantly, I'll say it out of my mouth. I'll, I'll be like, I surrender all of it. I surrender everything. You have full access to my mind, to my thoughts, to every part of me, because I know that Holy Spirit sees things that I don't.

And like you said, that's been my story too, is when I gave Holy Spirit that access to my life and my heart, Holy Spirit started to unpack all of the baggage that I had in my life. And it's still happening. It's a war, it's a. Work until the day we go to be with Jesus.

Carlos: Yeah, this is a life journey, a life work.

Dez: Yeah, the sad thing is not everybody experiences that because a lot of people have a hard time letting him into that place because of they're afraid, because they have been hurt, because they have trust issues, so many different things. Yeah. But if there's one thing I can encourage anybody who's watching or listening to us is let Holy [00:18:00] Spirit into those deep.

places of your heart. Because trust me, it feels very awkward at first, but it is so worth it. And it's something that will change your life forever. And all of those things that you're struggling with, that you're dealing with, that you just don't know what to do with, Holy Spirit will walk you through it.

I can't even tell you how. It's a supernatural thing. The Holy Spirit will take you by the hand and will coach you, will prompt you, will tap you on the shoulder, or if you really let him smack you in the back of your head. That's been happened to me so many times and I've learned to listen to his voice.

I just

Carlos: want to say one thing because this is, this is something that I used to do that and still sometimes do without realizing it's kind of like a default thing. When you focus too much on what's wrong with you. It's difficult for the Holy Spirit to work in you. [00:19:00] Our focus should not be on us. Our focus should be on Christ.

Yes. And there's been so many times when the Lord has interrupted my thinking and said, focus on me. Yes. Don't focus on your issue, your problems, what's going on around you. Focus on me. And it was when I did that, that Holy Spirit was able to come in and help me and guide me out of that situation or out of those issues or whatever.

Put your focus on the Lord because He is your source. He is your strength. And then the Holy Spirit can come and help you. But that was something that I always used to do and not even realizing it. That was hindering me. That was hindering my growth, my healing, my deliverance in so many ways.

Dez: I think I even remember that [00:20:00] point.

Yeah, it's so true. There's been such a turnaround in that area for you. And another thing, and this is funny because we've always said that we, and I heard Joyce Meyer say this once and I'm like, yes, but we've always said that we never went to like Bible school. We never did any of those things because we just wasn't, it wasn't in the cards for us, but we went through the school of the Holy Spirit.

And I can say that with full confidence. And what's funny is I remember we used to have a lot of dreams, remember where we would be in school and. We understood, yes, we understood that it was, we were in school. We were in the Holy Spirit school, in God's school. He was teaching us all through

Carlos: life. We went to H.

S. University.

Dez: Hey! No, but we really did and it's something because I look back and I'm like, wow, because some of the things that we have learned, the things that he has taught us over the years [00:21:00] is not something that any man could have ever taught us. So when I look at that, I'm like, you know what, I'm grateful because there were times where honestly I did want to go to like a university or, you know, Bible school or something, but I'm like, wow.

It's been such a great journey and experience, and I wouldn't trade that for nothing. Because some of the things, the wisdom that he's given us, because we've yielded to his teaching and to his, his guidance, we would have never gotten. Right. You know, Holy Spirit is the greatest teacher. If you are, it's like we were saying, you have to listen.

You have to listen to him. You have to be focused and you have to have that listening ear to whatever it is that Holy Spirit wants to teach you. And if you have that, trust me, it's going to go beyond anything you can even imagine. And you're going to look back one day and say, wow, I'm so glad I did that because the [00:22:00] Holy Spirit taught me.

Yeah. Right? Yeah. And that's been such an amazing journey for us. I feel we, I tell that to my kids all the time. I'm like, you guys, anything that you need help with in your life, if you're looking for like the direction you need to go for this or that, listen and tune in because it will happen. It might not be right when you want it because that's not how God works.

It's not like genie in a bottle, boom, here's my answer. You, it's a lifelong thing. It's like you're walking every day and you'll, you'll get the, the little hints or a dream or you'll just know sometimes it's just that knowing within you, right? Yeah. Yep. Yep. And comfort, comfort and counsel. When you are going through some of the hardest moments of your life, There is no one that can comfort you like, like Holy Spirit.

Hmm. Yeah. Whether it's grief from losing a loved one or somebody you [00:23:00] care about, whether it's going through a divorce, whether it's just going through really hard times or dealing with issues within you or dealing with addictions, there's so many things that life brings you. Yeah. But I know I can say for myself, through some of the hardest times in our life, In my life, personally, even when I was younger, I realized that Holy Spirit was the one that was there when I felt like I had nobody.

It was always Holy Spirit. And... I tell that to everybody who's dealing with things. It's like, yes, it's sometimes it's nice to have that shoulder to cry on a person to talk to, but there's no one that can be there for you. Like Holy Spirit. Absolutely. No one. And counsel. Boy, when we want to talk about counsel, our marriage would not be where it was if it was not for the counsel of the Holy Spirit.

Absolutely. The Holy Spirit has been our counselor [00:24:00] literally in so many moments and so many times when Things were about to just fall apart and there seemed to be no hope and we just didn't know how to deal with these issues in our marriage and in our life. And people didn't even know what to do with us.

It was like, okay, Lord, we need your help. And there came Holy Spirit to walk us through every single time.

Carlos: He was definitely our strength too. Cause there were so many moments where we wanted to give up and he would come and strengthen us. Give

Dez: us, give you that boost. That's so true. Yep. Do you have anything else?

Carlos: Let's see. I just want to share a couple of things here. Holy Spirit is here to help God's people throughout their journey on earth. He's a person. He is a person. We got to get that. He's not a power. He's not, he's not an it. He's a person. He's the third person of the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, God the [00:25:00] Holy Spirit.

He certainly has power and manifests himself in a powerful way, but he's a person with feelings. He could be hurt. He could be grieved and quite easily and we Unfortunately, we do that more than we realize. He's easy to hurt.

Dez: Yes.

Carlos: Easy, easy to hurt. Thank God that he is forgiving. But, um, we often grieve him and wonder why we don't, we suddenly don't feel his presence.

Yes. That's so good. We can have a relationship with him. Again, he's a person with emotions, feelings. He speaks to us. Yes. Yes. He's not a figment of our imagination. He's not something we just conjure up in our thoughts. He's a very real person. He points us to truth. He convicts the world of sin. Yes. When the Holy [00:26:00] Spirit is inside you, you don't even realize it.

Sometimes the reason people feel uncomfortable around you is because the Holy Spirit is convicting them of sin. That's so true. And you're like, what's wrong with them? And it isn't you. It's the Holy Spirit. That's so true. It is His presence inside you.

Dez: Oh, that's happened

Carlos: to me so many times. He reveals mysteries to God's people.

Mmm. The Holy Spirit is a spirit of revelation. Yes. As believers in Christ, we're able to live a supernatural life because we have the Holy Spirit. And it is impossible to walk in the Spirit without the Holy Spirit. Heh, yes. As a matter of fact, we could not be authentic believers. If we did not have him on the inside, for the power to walk like Jesus comes from Holy Spirit.

Yes. We should never, as believers, act independently [00:27:00] from the Holy Spirit. Guilty.

Dez: We all have been. Guilty. We have all been.

Carlos: Only He can empower us to live this life in holiness and with power. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you. This is the Bible. And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.

Acts chapter 1 verse 8. Even Jesus needed the Holy Spirit while on earth. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove, and a voice came from heaven and said, You are my beloved son. With you I am well pleased Luke chapter 3 verse 22. Yeah, so Jesus needed the Holy Spirit Jesus being the Christ the Messiah the Son of God.

Yeah, he needed him. How much more do we need [00:28:00] him? That's right. The Holy Spirit doesn't work doesn't speak on his own. Excuse me but when the truth giving spirit comes he will unveil the reality of Of every truth within you, He won't speak on His own, but only what He hears from the Father, and He will reveal prophetically to you what is to come.

John 16. That's so good. 13. And like you said, Holy Spirit helps us to pray when we don't know what to pray. Yes. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. Romans 8 26. And to this I add, do not despise praying in tongues.

Mm hmm. Let me reiterate that. Yes. [00:29:00] Don't despise it, especially as a new believer.

Dez: Yeah. I wanted to just add something that, uh, when we were talking about this, that I think about from time to time when I think about the Holy Spirit and I think about the Word of God. And I remember when I was younger and I realized this, that in so many accounts in the Old Testament, there were moments where the Holy Spirit came upon someone to do something.

Mm hmm. Right? But it wasn't until after Jesus left the earth and said he was going to leave with us a comforter, when he was going to leave the Holy Spirit with us after he left, was when everyone had the ability, everyone who gave their life to Christ, who, who asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit, was able to have Holy Spirit with us.

at all times. And that is something that we [00:30:00] cannot take for granted. As people of God, as children of God, if you are a Christian, if you're a believer, if you are a child of God, you have that ability. And it's something so priceless and so powerful that You don't want to take Holy Spirit and, and use Holy Spirit and like put him on the shelf when you're, when you're not needing him.

Like a genie in the bottle, like I always said before. That's first of all, like Carlos said, Holy Spirit is a person. Holy Spirit has feelings and the more that you allow access to your life to Holy Spirit, you're going to know him deeper. You're going to want to spend more time. You're going to want to.

Just commune throughout your day, let him talk to you and you talk to him because that's how it becomes. It becomes like a conversation with a person, but it's the spirit of God. And that's [00:31:00] something that we have to be so careful that we're not taking for granted, that we're not abusing. That is so true.

We have to, we have to be so careful with Holy Spirit. We have to have such a reverence and a respect and a love. When you love God, you love his spirit. And you can't separate it. It's not like, Oh, well, you know, um, because Holy Spirit, you know, sometimes makes me feel uncomfortable because, you know, if I do certain things, I feel a certain, well, you know what, you have to start listening to that.

If you want to grow in your walk with God, listen to everything that Holy Spirit tells you. Yes. And it might be hard and it might be painful. And

Carlos: it might be what you're

Dez: not used to. Exactly. But it's what you need. That's the thing we have to remember. God knows what we need. It's not about what we want in this life.

It's about what, what we need and God knows what we need better than anyone. So he's going to use his spirit to guide us onto that [00:32:00] path. Yeah. And that will include like you were talking about, babe, is the looking at the stuff inside you. Yeah. I feel like that it can be one of the hardest parts of this walk.

Carlos: I like the verse that says where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Yes. When Holy Spirit abides in you, He works to set you free in every way. Yep. But let me tell you something, freedom will cost you. Yes. And often, oftentimes what it will cost you is your comfort. Yep. And the things that you're used to, the pet sins, the things you don't want to give up.

Yes. But let me tell you that it is worth giving those things up for him. Yeah. Because at the end of it, you'll find freedom. That's it. And there's nothing like it.

Dez: That is the truth. Yeah, and it's not necessarily sin I want to throw in there. Sometimes it could be just ugly things within you. Yeah. I've had that.

We've both, [00:33:00] we've all dealt with that. If you've let Holy Spirit in, in any capacity, you're going to find that Holy Spirit will point out things that you, you might not like within you and it might be hard to admit it. You might have pride. Yeah. That's, that's a hard one. But pride is sin. It is. Well, it is.

It is. I'm sorry. Forgive me. That's just, that just popped in my head. But yeah, we all, because we're human, can struggle with that. But when you're open to Holy Spirit, not only will Holy Spirit help you to get free of that, but it will be on a regular basis because I can say for myself, there have been times when.

I've been dealing in a place or just something happening and a thought will pop into my mind, a prideful thought, but I have given Holy Spirit so much access to my life that even when I have a thought, I have told him, you have complete access to me. Tap me on the shoulder, smack me in my head if you need to, to get my attention.

Cause I don't want to have any of that. I don't want to be prideful. I don't want to have [00:34:00] anything that is contrary to God. And every time that happens, just like clockwork, that little tap and I'm like, Oh Lord, I'm so sorry. God, forgive me. I do not want, I, I renounce pride in Jesus name. I don't want to deal with that.

And that's just an example. There's so many things. It could be, it could be so, so many things. It could be selfishness. There could be so many things, ugly things that are flesh. carries that are not godly. And he wants to help us to work out and to deal with and to pull out.

Carlos: Yeah, I think about all the areas where Holy Spirit has set us free, all the areas where we've been delivered from throughout the years.

They would not have been possible without Holy Spirit. That's true. So, so true. None of the things we got delivered from or healed from. Mm-Hmm. would've been possible.

Dez: That is the truth. I'm so grateful for that. Mm-Hmm. . Well, we are past time [00:35:00] apologize, but this has been some meaty good stuff and I think we got in everything that we had in our notes and we wanted to share with you guys.

But I just wanna say this, if you don't have. The Holy Spirit, if you don't have speaking in tongues, or you just know that you need the Spirit of God in your life, first of all, if you're not saved, the first step is accepting Jesus as your Savior. And that is as simple as making a prayer, opening your heart and Saying God forgive me for my sins.

Thank you that you sent your son Jesus to die on the cross. I received Jesus as my Savior into my heart and I ask you that to forgive me of my sins and to help me to live this life and that's that it's that simple and after you've prayed that and you have given your life to God and You've given your life to Jesus.

All you have to do is ask him for his spirit And just open your mouth and say, God, give me your Holy Spirit. I want your Spirit within me to reign and [00:36:00] rule in my life. And trust me, Holy Spirit will. You might not feel it. Sometimes you do, but it's a faith thing. And when you, every moment in your life that you're going through something or that you just need help or just need guidance or whatever, and it's not always that.

You will learn to even just have casual conversation. I wake up in the morning and I'm like, good morning. Thank you for this day. Thank you for life. Thank you for being so great to me. Thank you for loving me. I mean, it's, you have your own personal walk, your own personal relationship. And just remember, like we said, is don't take Holy Spirit for granted.

Holy Spirit is the greatest gift that we have. Yes. And he is amazing. So. I just wanted to encourage people with that.

Carlos: I just want to read one final scripture. And this is Romans 15 verse 13. And it says, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and [00:37:00] peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, You may abound in hope.

I love it.
