Paul Lind from Idaho, is an interesting guy. His family has been heavily involved with the Western States Endurance Run since it became a foot race. His dad, Dr. Bob Lind was the medical director for many years and since 1978 started every race with a family 20 gauge shotgun until the year he passed. Paul took over those duties after that. Paul has run the race a couple times. Once at 18 years old, and then 20 years later and still earning a silver buckle. Paul was a nuclear scientist in his work life, he's a race director, and has a coaching company with son, Cody, who has a couple top 10 States finishes himself. That's how I came across him. He coaches my friend, former guest, and multiple time top 10 finisher, Emily Hawgood. Paul is a great storyteller and has plenty. Enjoy!
