Venkat Venkatraman
Professor Venkat Venkatraman is the David J. McGrath Professor at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, with appointments in both information systems and strategy and innovation. He has previously taught at MIT Sloan and London Business School and is considered one of the foremost authorities on how companies develop winning strategies in a digital and AI age.
He is co-author, with Vijay Govindarajan, of Fusion Strategy: How Real-Time Data and AI Will Power the Industrial Future (Harvard Business Review Press, 2024) and author of The Digital Matrix. His next book, Agentic Intelligence: Strategy at the Speed of Data, publishes on 15 September 2026 and explores how humans and machines work together to create intelligence. His research and consulting work bridges legacy industrials and digital giants, with engagements that have included John Deere, GE, BP and Microsoft, and his writing appears regularly in Harvard Business Review.
