Speaker 1:

This is my Viking memory year, approximately 812 AD. This memory is more of a spiritual awareness. I drift into his consciousness and am hovering over him. I am looking at him over the back of his head or just above his head, but I am ethereal and so is his mind. Although he is physically in his body, he has not completely connected with spirit. I reach my hand out into his aura to see through his eyes, to understand what is transpiring and realize I am now becoming attached to his life.

Speaker 1:

I am aware that there is a woman in a village hut. She is surrounded by women and friends. She is in labor. I ask what is happening? He says I am waiting. What are you waiting for? I am waiting for her to be born. Who? My wife?

Speaker 1:

We have signed a spiritual contract. I am to be her husband, but you are young. How old are you? I am eight years old and you are getting married. Yes, but not now.

Speaker 1:

I have been promised to my wife by our mothers we will be raised together so that we know everything about each other. We will be best friends as kids. Then it will change as young adults. It is our way, the Viking way, to be raised. It is why we respect our women so profoundly because we know them. We know how they think, how they react, how they have been raised. Know how they think, how they react, how they have been raised. We will learn how to work together as a team, solve problems and resolve conflict, create success, experience love and joy. We will become one in our hearts and minds while we are young, before we are married. I will know all her details about what makes her happy. We will arrange marriages for our children the same way. I am ready to begin this journey. I ask when will she arrive? Today, her mother is ready.

Speaker 1:

I realize that this woman in the village hut is the mother of his future wife. An array of images passes by in his mind of their future life, together written in the stars, sharing with me. Specifically, a key moment comes when he is a young man of perhaps 20 years old. He will participate in an invasion that is life-changing. I can see he has tall, handsome blue eyes, blonde hair and medium-length beard with different appendages like charms and trinkets hanging down that are attached to his face and beard. Physically, he is strong, well-muscled. I look at his hands they are large, skilled, holding a strong grip on a heavy sword. Mentally he is a young man and is following his elders for guidance. He is part of a group of Viking boats that are going to invade a bad local tribe of people. I feel myself sliding and becoming more immersed within him and find myself referring to myself as I, as if I am him. Something has happened between the Vikings and this tribe. This situation caused a negative decision to be made. The raid is an inevitable result. It is needed, it is planned. It is what the Vikings do.

Speaker 1:

I am sitting in a long Viking boat. I look around to see it is filled with men with deathly sharp swords, all armed to the teeth, as they say. The boat sits low in the water due to the weight of the warrior cargo. It is so low I can reach my hand out and touch the water Silently. Not a single word by any man on any boat is spoken.

Speaker 1:

As the boats glide through the dense fog with zero visibility, I feel it is so surreal and unworldly. I slightly hear the gentle swoosh of the water as my boat passes through on the way to the raid. The shore should be close to us, but there is no noise coming from the shoreline. I am breathing as quietly as possible. My heart is in my throat, my senses are on full alert. Suddenly, a big nudge as the boat glides onto land and the horde jumps to the shore. The silence all around is deafening. Everyone is holding their swords to their bodies. As we run through the mist looking for locals, we pass known markers that had been previously spotted days before to help us orient ourselves on shore in the fog. As we enter the village, boom. The locals jump out of their homes, weapons in hand, trying to frighten us. And the battle begins. We have superior weapons and size. It is fast and easy. The village members are all dead. We can spare no one because they will bear the grudge of hate and come back for revenge in the future.

Speaker 1:

I briefly think of the wisdom of the god, odin. I am satisfied that he is all-knowing and I walk in truth. I return home with a little opinion, but heroic memories to share. I am acutely aware that spiritual contracts were signed, with everyone affected agreeing. I am relaxed, knowing that I am doing Odin's work and have no remorse at all.

Speaker 1:

My mind is shockingly clear, but now I am growing older and aging. I am holding the hand of my beloved wife and best friend, my true treasure and blessing. We have had a good life filled with love and devotion. We were together always and we will die old together with our children present. All of the spiritual contracts have been fulfilled in this lifetime. I fade out and leave him. I fade out and leave him. As I become aware of myself again, I have to stop and think. I don't know much about Odin or the religion, but he considers himself to be very pious and follows the religion, doing Odin's work. He never thought twice about any choices he made, always feeling he was doing God's work. I find that interesting. I do recognize my wife in this Viking life as someone who I have in my current circle, but I prefer not to elaborate at this point.
