Scripture Memorization: Discovering Unmatched Peace in John 14:27 / 407
Welcome back to God's Loving Sacrifice Memorization Podcast. We're on the seventh unit of Assurance this week. Remember, it only takes a few minutes a day to memorize scripture, hear it, read it, write it and speak it. I'm going to change things up a little bit. I've been trying to read all of the scriptures in each section. I'm going to change it up and just read the prior week's scripture with this week's scriptures. That's not giving you so many scriptures in one podcast. This week it is John 14, 27.
Speaker 1:Peace I leave you, my peace I give you. Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. This verse was something that God said with the disciples when he was in the upper room. He was trying to prepare them for his death, resurrection and departure from earth from earth. I guess, when they heard what Jesus said I'm sure that I leave you was what stood out most to them, because it says he was leaving, but you have to remember that it says peace I leave with you. That was the part of himself that he left behind. So this week, since John 14, 27, hind. So this week's is John 14, 27. Peace I leave you, my peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Last week's scripture was John 14, 6. Jesus said to him I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father.
