Speaker 1:

Welcome back to God's Loving Sacrifice Memorization Podcast. We are on our first unit of praise this week. Remember, it only takes a few minutes a day and you can memorize these scriptures. It can be done in traffic, while shaving, at sunup, before you go to bed. And if you go to my website, wwwgodslovingsacrificecom, and go to Memorization Scripture tab, each week you will find a printable sheet with the scripture on it for that week here. Read it, write it and speak it. This unit is going to be on praise and our first one is 1 Peter, 1, 3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his abundant mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

I was reading some information on this one and I kind of like this little blurp that I found. It said if you were a sentence, what mark of punctuation would follow you? Is your life a question mark because you're without answers? Is it a comma because you're in transition? Is it a period because everything's at a standstill, or a dash because you're in a continual rush? This verse puts an exclamation point to our lives. It's a verse of praise. It's a verse of worship, sent around God and the Father of our Lord Jesus. It's a verse of joy he's given us new birth into a living hope. It's a verse of victory based on the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Speaker 1:

Memor. Memorize it. It's important. Now let's go back up here to hear it, read it, write it, speak it. Because I heard something the other day that I thought was really interesting and I say this with every one of my memorization podcasts hear it, read it, write it, speak it. Memorization podcast. Hear it, read it, write it, speak it. And they were talking about those specific things, but they said the most important one of them is to write it, not type it, not copy and paste it, but to write it. Putting your hand on the pen and writing the words really help them come to your memory. So when you hear me say hear it, read it, write it and speak it, literally write it. Okay, let's look at that scripture one more time. First Peter, 1, 3, blessed, write it and speak it.
