You can text freedmen’s network here !

Why are California's leaders failing their citizens in the face of relentless wildfires? Join us as we unravel the complexities of cultural identity and government responsibility. On this episode of Freedman's Affairs Radio, we explore the rich culture of Freedmen and foundational Black Americans, highlighting the powerful shared values that shape collective identities. Amidst this discussion, we address the dire situation in California, where wildfires have wreaked havoc, leaving destruction and heartbreak in their wake. We share poignant stories from those directly affected, putting a human face on the devastation and underscoring a community's resilience.

Criticism takes center stage as we call into question the actions of Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom. Is there a concerning lack of prioritization and accountability in their response to the wildfires? We dissect their controversial decisions, including the allocation of funds and the apparent neglect in firefighting efforts. The withdrawal of insurance companies due to regulatory issues adds another layer of complexity to the crisis. This conversation urges a reevaluation of leadership and resources to prevent these catastrophic events from becoming a tragic pattern.

The episode further explores broader societal issues, from systemic racism to the intricacies of cultural pride. Through discussions on public figures like Fat Joe and Candace Owens, we navigate the complexities of race and identity in America. The importance of acknowledging historical roots while advocating for change is emphasized, as we strive for unity amidst adversity. With critiques and revelations, this episode offers not just an analysis but a call to action for stronger community support and effective leadership.

Speaker 1:

less love because it's our people that we think. And now they say we play your hating because we hate the black on black and the fact we can't stand when we act like that. Peace, and welcome back to Freedman's Affairs Radio, the Freedman's Network. I'm your host, vaughn Black, here and off the gate. Thank you for tapping back in with us as we continue in our quest for solutions and answers to our concerns and problems. Right Today, january 14th, 2020, 2025.

Speaker 1:

The day's math is knowledge, culture and we know culture. We know knowledge to be awareness, right, and culture. Well, we look at culture a lot of times in one dimension, but culture can be multi-dimensional. And now this culture borns power, and we're gonna get into that. How it borns power. We're gonna, before we close out today, we're gonna show and prove how it borns power.

Speaker 1:

All right, but back to the culture. It, uh, the culture consists of values, beliefs, systems of language and communication practices that are shared in common, that can be used to define a collective, such as cuisine, music, dance, customs, etc. And this is true of our culture. We have many subcultures of our culture. I'm talking about the Freedmen, foundational Black Americans. We have subcultures within our culture and we're going to talk about that. But the first thing I want to get into is the horrible situation out there in California. Let me just turn the music down and we can get into it. I want to talk about what's happening out there and fair use before we get started. Fair use this is a report by ABC News and we want to. We want to get into that. Here we go.

Speaker 2:

The reality here, the staggering damage, the worst wildfires Los Angeles has ever seen. We have just learned tonight. More than 9000 homes and structures have now burned to the ground. And tonight news of another fire now breaking out the Kennett Fire. Mandatory evacuations have been ordered in the West Hills area. Tonight two of the other fires still growing, still 0% contained Firefighters racing to put them out before powerful Santa Ana winds pick up again later this evening. 180,000 people already forced from their homes, 200,000 more ready to go.

Speaker 2:

Here in Pacific Palisades tonight we were with families as they returned. For the first time today they had not been back. I was with one father, their home gone. His two boys and wife are okay, but they've lost everything. As you can see right here behind me tonight this evening, our station here in Los Angeles, kabc and their helicopter above us here in Pacific Palisades, flying over late today, actually widening out to show on camera what it looks like here.

Speaker 2:

A war zone, mile after mile of scorched earth Across Los Angeles. More than 45 square miles have now burned. That's the size of 800 football fields or about the size of the city of San Francisco. At least seven lives now lost. We've just learned tonight two of those lives lost here in Pacific Palisades, that number expected to rise across the region. The damage is up to $57 billion. Overnight, here, a new fire in Hollywood the Sunset Fire erupting in the hills just north of Hollywood Boulevard quadrupling in just minutes. Gridlock on narrow streets of Hollywood as people race to get away, firefighters knocking the fire down. And today the Eaton Fire still destroying homes in Pasadena and reaching the foot of Mount Wilson and its critical communication infrastructure right at the top.

Speaker 2:

New images tonight of the chaotic evacuation in the early hours of the Palisades fire. People stuck in traffic abandoning cars, a man helping his elderly father-in-law right through the smoke there and driving on the Pacific Coast Highway through Malibu as the fire burned every structure along the way. Here in Pacific Palisades, as I mentioned, we were with families late today as they returned to their homes. They had not been back yet. They did not know what they would find. We have also learned tonight of some well-known names who've lost their homes to, billy Crystal and his wife among them, what they're now saying tonight. So many families here have lost everything, but they remain grateful they still have their loved ones. The sun blow in the sky over Los Angeles, reflecting a new reality for this city, shining through the heavy smoke as some of the most destructive wildfires in the history of Los Angeles rage on tonight. The devastation for miles. At one point, six major fires burning at once, firefighters racing to contain them, the first and largest fire, the Palisades Fire, and the horror that is now left behind. You could hear the crackling of the flames, the gusting winds, the fire devouring homes, garages, businesses collapsing to the ground. Tonight, a first look here, a staggering scope of devastation. Home after home, street after street burned to the ground. There is nothing left. In so many of these neighborhoods Across the Los Angeles area. At least five lives lost, nearly 180,000 under evacuation orders, more than 200,000 still without power tonight and more than 45 square miles burned.

Speaker 2:

Today we saw firsthand what is left and the sounds of the fire alarms ringing out.

Speaker 2:

Everywhere you go you can hear sort of the alarms still going off long after the fires here, and it's not just the neighborhoods where you see home after home this used to be the grocery store right here completely hollowed out. And then over my shoulder here, if you look right up, you can see nothing left but the tattered American flag there, covered in soot and torn, but still hanging. In this neighborhood we are told about the first home that caught fire and how it then spread, one neighbor alerting the others. This was the house here on the corner that began to burn, and then they alerted everyone down the street to get out of their homes because they knew it was just a matter of time before the flames jumped from house to house, which is exactly what it did, not only on this block, but on every block. You can see the one off in the distance, the next block here. You can see the fire ripped through here as well. As far as the eye can see, really not a home left standing. The damage here is difficult to put into words.

Speaker 2:

The cars here in the streets incinerated, what's left of the burned out charred metal frame here, just sitting on the street here, and if you look across the street there's still some embers burning here. But you can see right in this yard here, the washer and dryer sitting. That's just about all you can make out. And we met families returning to their homes for the first time. This husband and father of two, al Alessandro Vigilante, had not been home yet. Have you seen your house yet? The father had raced to school to pick up his boys under evacuation orders, his wife staying behind to grab their most important documents. I'm sorry he sees for the first time what is left.

Speaker 5:

That's the entrance and this was the living room the suburb TV.

Speaker 2:

He tells me this used to be one of the boys' rooms.

Speaker 5:

My wife, was here and she just collected what she could and then left. What was she able to save? The documents, mainly the documents. And then she took a couple of stupid things, like my son's perfume, because he has a wee, wee ton of the toilet. His cologne yeah, just something emotionally related, but nothing, yeah, nothing.

Speaker 2:

But nothing else, no Taking what they they could and grateful to have their lives. Aidan Kahn returning to his home in the Pacific Palisades, making his way up Sunset Boulevard.

Speaker 3:

This is my bedroom right here.

Speaker 2:

His apartment completely destroyed.

Speaker 9:

Here's our patio. Here's the front entrance.

Speaker 1:

The elevator's still there, but with the wind there is still so much. Okay, family, you get the idea we're gonna turn that down, we're gonna go back into more of it, but I just wanted to say a few things to you. You know this this is the worst that they've seen in fire in American history thus far. To my knowledge, it's been 10 or 11 people casualties that have been reported. There may be more, I'm not sure. I'm trying to stay close to the story.

Speaker 1:

However, this is incompetence. This is incompetence by elected official leaders and they're going to scapegoat each other because you know it comes with the state, the city, this, the, that, the, that, the this. Excuse me, but you know this is. This is definitely falls on the political leaders there, and these are dnc people gavin newsom, the governor, and, and karen bass, who is the mayor of los angeles. Um, I'm not sure if it's, uh, if she's, she's over the, she's not over the county, I believe she's over the city, but either way, either way, let's see.

Speaker 1:

Can we find something from? I saw something that I thought was good from Dana and I want to see if I can get that in here. Hold on, let me. Just let me see if I can find it and we can probably get that in here. Hold on, let me just let me see if I can find it and we can probably get. Get her in here, get her a little piece, cause she had. She definitely did some things and spoke on this stuff. I hope I can. Oh, here it is. Yes, here it is. Let's hear from Dana. Come on.

Speaker 5:

No, I didn't want this one, it's this one.

Speaker 3:

Mayor, LA County is in a panic state. It began two days ago with the Palisades fire. My crew and I arrived shortly after it started and for several hours we watched as hundreds of homes in a neighborhood burned to the ground. We did not see a single fire engine. We watched as Good Samaritans guided traffic. There was fear and there was a lot of confusion. You were out of the country at the time. Shortly after the fire started, a press release was put out warning of this fire behavior. My question to you is what explains this lack of preparation and rapid response?

Speaker 10:

Let me just say, first and foremost, my number one focus, and I think the focus of all of us here with one voice, is that we have to protect lives, we have to save lives and we have to save homes. Rest assured that when that is done, when we are safe, when lives are saved and homes have been saved, we will absolutely do an evaluation to look at what worked, what didn't work and to correct or to hold accountable anybody department, individual, et cetera. But my focus right now is on the lives and on the homes.

Speaker 3:

Do you think your leadership was effective while responding to this disaster?

Speaker 10:

I just said what I believe is the most important thing for us to do right now, and that is going to continue to be my focus. Thank you, thank you. Let's go to the middle with the laptop Before we go on.

Speaker 6:

I want to introduce, because this is an important announcement we made the US Forest Service Fire Chief Garcia has an announcement regarding a decision being made on the National Forest. Thank you, supervisor, and I'll be brief. I just wanted to share that in the overnight hours last night, the US Forest Service, in an effort to reduce calls for service and reduce potential risk for wildfire, we've made a decision, until further notice, that the Angeles National Forest is closed and so we'll get some additional information out, press release that kind of information on the details of that closure, but it's similar to the types of orders that the county and the city have instituted regarding curfews and access and that type of thing. So the Angeles National Forest will be closed until further notice, likely until we get through this current fire weather event.

Speaker 10:

Thank you for that. We'll go in the middle Name and media outlet please.

Speaker 7:

Hi Thomas Fuller from the New York Times For Chief Luna, I just wanted to follow up on what you said about you weren't satisfied with the information that you were getting on fatalities. It's been widely reported that there were five deaths, at least five deaths. Do you believe that death toll is not accurate and do you think it's less than that?

Speaker 1:

All right, that death toll is not accurate and do you think it's less than that? All right, um, they went into to this thing here with the these commercials. But, yeah, you get it. It's a. It's something I want to. I want to play here that this, this woman, this karen bass woman, the mayor, right, she was away in ghana for some event that was happening over there. Now she was informed that these fires were coming. She was informed days before it happened. She was informed, yes, she chose to go to Ghana to travel, get on a plane, travel to Ghana for some type of event. But here you heard her in this press conference talking about their priority is to save lives and homes. Well, why did you go to Ghana if that was the case? See you, it's something about this tells me that some of this, this event, is purposeful. There was a purpose behind this. Now they in California have wildfires every year. Every year, they have a season for wildfires because the climate there and the dry weather is never rains there. However, you've been warned They've been warned to to clear out the brush. President Trump, back in 2019, asked them to clear out they. He he advised them that that they should clear out the brush in the forest because of these fires. This thing is a typical thing there.

Speaker 1:

Let me go back a little bit and show you the arrogance of this Karen Bass woman. Now they were when she got off the plane back from Ghana. They were trying to get get answers from her. The press is depressed and look how she responds Hold on, let's see, can we get to this? Hold on a second. Let's. Let's hear some more from Dana. Hold on.

Speaker 5:

The real reason why this wildfire got so devastating. Let's see Anymore. No, let me go out of this one and go here. So now we have the mayor, karen bass. Right, she's not doing a good job and I'm gonna get to, I'm gonna play her full of press conference, with just her speaking. But she is full-fledged dei herself, de. She champions DEI, meaning that she is more concerned about diversifying positions, whether you're qualified or not, allocating money to people or organizations or policies. That has nothing to do with making sure that the city is run properly. She allocated millions of dollars to DEI programs. She cut the fire department budget by millions of dollars to put that money towards DEI. And now, during a press conference, this news reporter was asking her some great questions, some vital, informative questions, and she didn't answer.

Speaker 4:

Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning? Do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars? Madam Mayor, have you nothing to say today? Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today, elon Musk says that you're utterly incompetent. Are you considering your position, madam Mayor? Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who are dealing with this disaster? No apology for them. Do you think you should have been visiting?

Speaker 1:

Now family. This reporter is talking. He got the mic there. He's talking to her. She's standing right in front of him. She's there and she's looking as though there is no one there, like he's not even talking. She's not even talking.

Speaker 1:

She's not even paying him no mind, and she was waiting for clearance to get out of the door. So, you know, they had to wait there for a few seconds or whatever, and this reporter was asking other questions. Mayor, do you have anything to say to the citizens who are suffering now? You mean to tell me you couldn't even respond, as in a human sense, to say, well, I just got back, I'm going to huddle with my team and we're going to find out what exactly has happened and we're going to have some comments ready, but right now, I don't want to make any comments. Right now, we, we can't, we, I don't want to make any comments right now.

Speaker 1:

But, um, you know, as, as the mayor of the city, I'm, I'm, I'm very saddened about by the events of people losing their homes. You couldn't even say that. This is the arrogance, this is that dnc stuff. This did this and she is a is a foundation. Well, she's, I don't know, I think she's foundational. But see, this is why, this is why Don't sell us, don't bother us with that.

Speaker 1:

I'm talking to the DNC. Do not come at us with any more of this black this and this black that, and a black woman, this and black man that we got to stick together as black people. This woman here, people, let me tell you something billy crystal actors, rich people have lost their homes, middle class people, working people. There's over 11 000 homes that have been destroyed because of this, this incident, right, and people of all walks of life are suffering behind this. So I will call to action. Here at Freedmen's Affairs Radio Freedmen's Network, we're asking you who listen to us if there's any, be careful for scammers and everything like that but if there are reputable organizations or agencies that are asking for the help of the country to donate whether it's food, money or whatever please do this for these people, because no one deserves this. This thing is terrible. I mean, you're hearing audio, I'm hearing audio and looking at the video, it looks apocalyptic. At this point, it's something like I've never seen.

Speaker 1:

So, whatever faith you have, you know, send your prayers and keep these people in your thoughts and hearts and help. It doesn't matter if they're foundational, if they're white, if they're Asian or whatever. This is a time for people to show humanness. Unlike this woman, karen Bass did the reporter's talking to her. You know, mayor, do you have anything to say to the community? She acted like he wasn't even there. Let's go. Let's go back to it, come on.

Speaker 4:

Ghana, while this was unfolding back home.

Speaker 5:

That's what I wanted to bring up, and I'm going to actually do a video on a lot of Americans, not just Black getting their citizenship in Ghana. She was in Ghana last week week. The country Ghana, on a continent of Africa. For what? And your city is burning up that you were not prepared for? My cigano was lit. I'm pretty sure it was lit.

Speaker 4:

I'm gonna do a really good video on that madam mayor, let me ask you just again have you anything to say to the citizens today as you return? No, no, no, no. Madam Mayor, just a few words for the citizens today as you return to deal with the catastrophe.

Speaker 8:

David, as you say, she wasn't very keen to answer any of your questions there, and fire chiefs are also admitting that they just don't have enough personnel to take out the fires.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, they're fighting all sorts of challenges. They're talking about a water shortage, there are reports of fire hydrant failures. They've been unable to use firefighting aircraft for much of the day due to the smoke that is billowing ominously from the hills where the wildfires are raging. And I suppose, despite that political storm, this is, of course, at its heart, a human story, because we've now 80,000 people evacuated. Tens of thousands of others are on standby to be evacuated. Two lives have been lost in the Eton fire, which is what's causing the consequence behind us, the city's iconic landscape almost shrouded completely by the smoke. And they're really just taking it one step at a time, hoping at some stage the wind's going to change direction or to die down and that they're going to be able to get this fire under control.

Speaker 5:

Wow, that's crazy, that is crazy. So she held a press conference.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we heard that part and I don't want to replay that and I want to go into um. This guy, michael, michael francesi, let's see what he had to say. He was because he lives out there in california. He's hot and let me say to you this. Let me also say this to you family. This hits home for me. I have immediate family right there in California. Now I spoke to Dolores the other night and she said her and her kids were fine, that is my family.

Speaker 1:

And she said the fires, they're not in direct danger as yet, but she said she had everything packed and ready to go. She had everything packed and ready to go and you know, in case something comes over the radio or they make announcements and she says she's ready to go and they would head to Arizona to her children's father's place or whatever the case might be. But I spoke to her because I was concerned. That is my direct family and they're out there. So Junior, dolores, octavia and the rest of you guys stay safe. I love you all and just please stay safe. But let us hear from Michael Francesi on this. Hold on.

Speaker 12:

And I guess it's got me more upset this morning, culminating with what's gone on out here with these fires. This was a total breakdown in leadership and that's what we're seeing in this country. Forget for a minute, republican Democrat. Our government is corrupt. It's absolutely corrupt at the highest level. There are cover-ups with Epstein going on. There is just absolute waste of our taxpayer money being sent for irresponsible things with DEI and soft-on-crime policies and all this stuff. It's absolutely corrupt.

Speaker 12:

What's going on in this country from the top on down and I guess I'm taking it personal now because of these fires, because I'm so close to it, because I know people whose homes have been burnt down, who've been totally displaced, because we have a government here that's not prepared to deal with the number one responsibility that they have in office and that's to protect their citizens in every way, shape or form. And they're not doing it. Biden didn't do it. Our federal government didn't do it. Okay, they've ransacked us in our communities at the southern border. You got to be honest. You have to be honest about it. Doesn't matter. If he was a Republican, I'd be saying the same darn thing. This is not a question of me picking on the Democrats, it just happens to be their policies, and we have to admit to that. What they've done to us at the southern border is criminal. It's criminal. They've allowed criminals and terrorists to come into this country and wreak havoc. It's happening.

Speaker 1:

All right, family, I'm going to jump forward a little bit because he's going into stuff that I really don't want to talk about up here, about the border and all that stuff. I'm going to focus on the fires and then we're going to get to some other stuff. Hold on, let me see Can I jump in the forward a little bit.

Speaker 12:

He's been a fraud and a liar and now a treasonous person throughout his whole presidency. He's a bad guy and he's trying to destroy America with the help of his progressive party. And now look what we have in California Again 11 people are dead already, over five, I think. 11,000 properties burned to the ground. Why is this so horrible? Because our governor, newsom, was warned of this. We have fires every year and stop the climate change BS. This is not climate change. We have fires every single year. It's been going on since California is in existence. It's nothing new. It's the number one thing that we should be prepared for here, our state officials.

Speaker 12:

He was warned back in 2000, 2018, 2019. He was warned to clear the brush. It's dangerous. It shouldn't be like that. Trump warned him. A lot of people warned him. Insurance companies warned him. He didn't listen. Instead, what does he do? He takes a hundred million dollars off the firefighters budget. He cuts a hundred million dollars statewide off of our firefighters, and we have fires every year. What else does he do to to pander to his progressive party? He diverts the water system to go down into la. He diverts it to go into the pacific ocean. Why? To protect some fish. And what's the result of that? There was no water coming out of the fire hydrants. And some people said oh, michael, you don't understand. All the reservoirs were empty during that fire. No, that's not true. The reservoir in Pacific Palisades was empty. It was under repair. They didn't repair it. There was no water in Pacific Palisades, in that reservoir.

Speaker 1:

Pay attention to this family.

Speaker 12:

They didn't have enough water to fight a fire, and we have fires every single year. We have Santa Ana winds every single year. This is no exception this year. It just happens to be worse because we were unprepared to deal with it. And there is no excuse If you give them love.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, family they were, they were on. Uh, according to the, to the, to to the fire chief, they were. They were under-resourced, they were undermanned and underfunded. Pay attention, let us continue.

Speaker 12:

Newsom should resign immediately. He's a phony, he's a fraud, he's a liar. He's destroyed this state. He's turned a surplus into a deficit. He panders. He lied about Biden. He is a horrible human being.

Speaker 12:

What do they use their money for? They use their money for DEI, this garbage DEI. And why do I say it's garbage? I'm not saying the people are garbage. No, I'm not.

Speaker 12:

What I'm saying is to put people in positions when they're not qualified because of their race or their nationality or whatever. It's sickening because you need the best people in the best positions to do the jobs properly. Do you think for one minute if there was an Italian that was incompetent or not as capable as an Irishman or a black person or an Indian or any other nationality? Do you think that? Or ethnicity? Do you think that I want the Italian in the position because he's Italian? Hell, no, I want the best people in the position to do the jobs effectively. Dei, the religion of DEI, is destroying this country In our military, in our power positions. It's destructive because these are not the best. They're not putting power for their competency, they're putting power for their race or their ethnicity. It's wrong. It's wrong. Look at Kamala Harris. Is anybody going to sit there that's on this podcast now and tell me that she was the most competent person to be placed as vice president, that she was the most competent person in the entire democratic party to run for president. Come on, come on. It's not the fact that she's a woman. There are many competent women out there that could be president and vice president and run major companies and do the job. Many of them. I'm not biased towards women it's ridiculous to even say it, but I want the best women, the best people in the job.

Speaker 12:

The mayor of LA she knew she was warned that the Santa Ana winds were going to do some damage. She goes off to Ghana to see a president come into office. She's refused to go to President Trump's inauguration, but she goes off to Ghana at a time when she should be here protecting her city. What did she do? She cut $17 million from the firefighters budget and diverts it to DEI, diverts it to giving drug paraphernalia to drugs, diverts it to the homelessness which they've totally, totally ransacked our taxpayer dollars and did nothing proper for these homeless people. And, by the way, they had money to build more reservoirs and they didn't build. One Was in the budget to build reservoirs. They didn't build one. Newsom should resign immediately. The mayor of la should resign immediately. They have blood on their hands. Now. 11 people died and let me ask you this suspicious, you know, uh, conspiracy theories, no, why is it that 11? 11 insurance companies pulled out of california? 11, 11 insurance companies pulled out of California?

Speaker 1:

Listen, listen.

Speaker 12:

And pulled out their fire insurance, specifically on all the homes. Why? Because they knew that California was not prepared for another major fire. They knew it and there were so many regulations that were impeding them from doing their job properly. They just said, hey, we're out. That's this regulatory state that we live in. Governor Newsom and the people in power, the progressive people now in power have destroyed the state, the beautiful state of California, and this bum, newsom, wants to run for office as president. He should be in jail. He now has blood on his hands and I saw him yesterday, okay, on a Zoom interview with Biden and Harris in the Oval Office. And what is he trying to do? He's blaming misinformation that he's being attacked. And who is he being attacked by? The very celebrities who've lost their homes now that are pointing fingers at him for being unprepared and for diverting dollars to the wrong place so they couldn't fight fires.

Speaker 13:

Oh my god oh hell, no man. What the fuck man get your ass on my, it has got to stop.

Speaker 12:

This is the culmination of it. Now, a beautiful city like la, 11 000 homes and structures burnt to the ground. Firefighters couldn't do their job because the state and the city did not allow them to. This is criminal. It's criminal negligence. And let me tell you this, I'm saying it again Donald Trump, you better hold these people accountable, you better. You cannot continue to allow this kind of behavior, this incompetence and this irresponsibleness at the very top to go on anymore. Because people are suffering. They don't suffer. Biden isn't going to suffer. Biden's a thief, a liar, a scoundrel. He hates America. He's resentful of America because he didn't get a second term in office. He's resentful of America because twice he tried to run for president and they threw him the hell out right away. Because he's incompetent. He's a liar. Nothing's going to happen to him. His son, nothing's going to happen to him for engaging in treason and activity with his father peddling.

Speaker 1:

Oh man, man, he's cooking, he's cooking and I don't want to play his whole thing there. But yeah, and, by the way, let's get the fair use in here. Let's get the fair use. Let's get that in here, because Fair use disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976 allowances made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news, recording, teaching, scholarship, education and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing Nonprofit, educational or personal use. Tips the balance in favor of fair use. Okay, now we got that out of the way. Yeah, because I've been using some clips up here.

Speaker 1:

But the thing is family. The thing is, those insurance companies pulled out, they pulled out. Those insurance companies pulled out, they pulled out and let me move this needle here those insurance companies pulled out because, like Michael said, that they knew that these leaders were not prepared, these political people were not prepared. Now the government, the government has said they're going to come in and take up 100 percent of the cost of what? Because you know, these are big Hollywood people with lost homes, mansions, some actors, big political people up in Hollywood Hills and all this stuff. So it's not like what they did in North Carolina. When they had the bad weather in North Carolina and those hurricanes and tornadoes and stuff tore up those homes and flooded everybody out and they told the people we only got $750 for you. People's homes have been destroyed and unlivable and they got to start over again. So it um, it wasn't that you know, they're gonna, they're gonna take up the 100 100 cost of california and family.

Speaker 1:

This is why this is why we have to um, that's why I was I was playing um the brand newbie in that track track when we first opened up about love versus hate. We got to start loving on each other, getting rid of the hate, because we got some serious work to do and we cannot wait. We have to be proactive in a lot of our things. And that brings me to this thing here, why we need hate crime. We need a hate crime bill. That's number crime. We need a hate crime bill. That's number one. We need a hate crime bill and I don't like how things are going. First of all, we got a political fight ahead of us with the 2026 election, the midterms, we have a big fight ahead and, as you heard myself and Divine Prince from the United States Freedmen Project he was up here last week and I had been telling, promising I was going to bring him up here, and I finally got him up here the schedules.

Speaker 1:

It was very difficult because he's a very busy person, brother, and I'm busy, as you all know. I'm always, you know, doing something to bring about, you know, the show, to make the program better, and I'm doing work and I'm also involved with the Freedmen's Project, united States Freedmen's Project. I'm involved with them also and, divine, he heads that, he is the, he is the um, he is the um chair, he's the head of that, he's the ceo of that, of that organization, and he's very busy, brother, very busy. So we finally was able to connect in and make the schedules work where we could, you know, come up on the program and and spit together and, uh, from the reaction, you guys, and give yourself a big, big uh congratulations there, because, uh, everyone seemed to to like, uh, the, the like that particular program. I text him about it and he's very excited about it and he's going to come back I don't know when, I'm not going to promise when, but he will be back Me and you know we do some work together, we work in the community together. Like I said, I'm involved in the United States Freedmen Project. I'm involved in that and so, yeah, he will be back and maybe I look forward to a day where I can get him and King to come up here together and we just, we just we just rip the roof off of things. But, yeah, getting back to a family. We need a hate crime bill. We need a hate crime bill.

Speaker 1:

Just briefly mention the update on Robert Brooks' situation up there in upstate New York here at Marcy Correctional Facility. He was the young man beaten to death by the correctional officers there in Marcy Correctional Facility in upstate New York and some more. I think four or five more people have been fired. There has not been any charges, any indictments yet on this situation. We all seen what happened. You know they blocked out the audio, but we see the video, so we have the images of what happened and then beating and kicking on him and stomping on him and stuff like that and this would, this would kill them. There has not been any formal charges that I know of at this moment, currently, at this time, but we're keeping our eyes on that and we're going to be definitely, especially here in New York where I'm at. I'm definitely going to be watching this. So, yeah, but this is one of the reasons why we need this hate crime.

Speaker 1:

And I'm going to go to a Another situation. Did you hear I know some of you have heard this woman has been. Let me see, was that 26 Fox? Okay, she has been charged with. This Virginia nurse has been charged in women go to give, deliver, you know, to the, to the, uh, give birth to the babies. And this woman has been charged with with um, breaking bones on the babies. These are black babies and different things. Let's see, can I find this hold on?

Speaker 14:

sits behind bars after, in some instances, newborn black babies were found with serious injuries, broken bones. Enrico Doctors Hospital says staff found three babies with quote unexplainable fractures. Twenty six year old Aaron Strothman is charged with malicious wounding and felony child abuse. My next guest is Dr Donna Shalif from Archpointe Pain Institute. He says these allegations are true. If true, she should have not been allowed to work after she was suspended the first time and they brought her back. First of all, your thoughts on this case and just how horrible it is that a nurse, someone in your profession, would harm a child like that, a newborn, yeah.

Speaker 8:

Isaiah, very disturbing news indeed. Our first, the oath that we take is do no harm right, and so when I hear stories like this, this is a truly disrupting and really sad, shocking news that I hear from somebody who we would help, or we would hope is helping the child, somebody who's in the NICU where they're sick, they've got other things going on. The last thing you want to worry about is your nurse, somebody who you trust doing harm to a child, and so I am very saddened to hear this news and I hope that this person is not able to practice medicine. If this is truly, in fact, this person was causing harm to innocent children and babies.

Speaker 14:

Now we know she was accused initially by the hospital internally, when they said she may have harmed three other children, but then, a year passed by, she was suspended, a year passed by and they brought her back. Was that a mistake? It was.

Speaker 8:

Isaiah. I mean, as long as you have somebody who has potentially caused harm, this should have raised some flags for the hospital. They should have taken more initiatives and perhaps not brought this person back. She was on administrative leave for one year. She was paid supposedly around for all this time as well that she was gone, and then the hospital did its job of checking to see if there was something. I just don't think they did enough. I don't think they did enough investigation. I know that hospitals have ethical boards and committees. Sometimes, you know, when these sorts of bigger allegations happen. It's the hospital's responsibility to make sure that they either have a third party, somebody else that's reviewing this, to make sure that everything is checked off and there was no malicious harm that was involved in this From your research.

Speaker 14:

What exactly did she do to some of the children?

Speaker 8:

From what I could see and from some of the x-rays of these children that were obtained, what I saw was she was not handling them in the right way and maybe being too rough with them or maybe pulling on a leg or something that causes either a dislocation or a fracture or something. So you know, again, we don't have any strong evidence and these are all accusations and allegations that we have so far, accusations and allegations that we have so far. But I think it's the hospitals and even the now federal government's job to really research this and make sure that this person does not practice and does not harm anybody else, if this was truly in fact the case.

Speaker 14:

And I want to make it clear what prosecutors are saying. You're saying that she may have handled them roughly. They said she maliciously, meaning she intended to wound, harm a child with felony child abuse and neglected connection with an incident that took place in November 2024. And of course now there are possibly seven other children. So the prosecutors there in Virginia are not saying she handled them rough. They're saying she maliciously, with intent, tried to harm these children. And parents are just upset and some of those parents said the hospital system failed them. Would you agree with that?

Speaker 8:

I would, Isaiah. I think that unless we have other third parties and other people that have investigated this telling us, yes, this person is safe and there was no malicious harm that was involved in this on purpose, you know if they cannot prove that, then this person should not have been allowed back into the hospital setting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so family. This is why we need a hate crime bill. This is why we need a hate crime bill and because this white supremacy thing is very much alive, very much alive, no matter how much you got silly people that'll tell you oh no, no, you just got to let this race thing go. You're never going to heal and you guys hold on to all this race stuff. So much this. This is this. We're reporting on these things because we want you to see where this stuff is at.

Speaker 1:

Speaking of that, speaking of that, recently these people are now, you know I've talked about before how I have a thing. You know, I like certain people and stuff like that. He's really been putting his foot well, not say putting his foot in his mouth, but he's kissed a lot of backside from the right. He has been, you know, smooching and kissing up to them, but now I don't particularly I'm getting ready to play something here. Again, fair use from this guy, the amazing Lucas, who I don't really have much for him. Now, what I will say? There is a saying that a broken clock sitting on the wall has the right time at least twice within 24 hours. A broken clock twice a day has the right, correct time, and this is one of those times. Let's go into it.

Speaker 15:

Oh, my goodness. So let me just say, one of my favorite pastimes, all right, is seeing these racist apologists get their wake-up call man. There is nothing more gratifying than seeing that happen. And we all know these people, the people like Kundis Owens, the Tatums, the Patrick Beck Davids of the world, these people who merely exist to tell the country hey, there is no racism, there is nothing going on with the country, Black people are just lazy. Hey, if you worked hard enough, you'd be in a better position. Hey, if you didn't have such a victimhood mindset, you'd be in a better position. There is no such thing as racism. Show me one racist law, okay.

Speaker 15:

These people are absolutely sickening and many of them, ironically enough, are immigrants who come here to the country. Now, mind you, these immigrants know what's going on and they want to be assimilated. So they have the illusion of inclusion, so they see the racism and when they do, they say, well, it doesn't exist. And that narrative comes with fame and fortune. Unfortunately, in this country, what better way to prove that the country isn't racist than promoting racist narrative and there being a financial incentive behind it? Yeah, great, great, great point you're making. Now I say that because we have one such person, pbd, okay, better known as Patrick Beck, david, and, ironically enough, yes, he is an immigrant. He's an immigrant from Iran, and I can't help but notice the similarities between him and Vivek and other individuals, because we had what was his name. I forgot the dude who's now a felon talking about black people. I forgot his name, anyways.

Speaker 1:

Dinesh D'Souza.

Speaker 15:

Who made his fortunes through what? Hustling people, through scamming people? Ok, through rug pulling, selling a fraudulent product and then rug pulling once it hits the market. That's how Vivek made his money. And then we have Patrick McDavid, who happened to be a victim of community notes. So you know all the issues going on with the H-1B-1 visas and everything and how you know, maga is like rah rah.

Speaker 15:

What about white people and all the immigrants? Vivek is saying hey, you're mediocre and you're dumb. That's what you are. Okay, white people, y'all are dumb and mediocre. Damn. Now, you had, as far as Patrick McDavid, an immigrant, and he goes on under a. He quotes Vivek's tweet and talks about hey, I have no problem working, you know, 48 hours being an immigrant, I just want to work hard. I think we should take a look at what Vivek says Just, just, really just foolishness, right, just absolute nonsense. It's like the reason why you don't mind such absolute trash conditions because you come from a trash country. He's not a lie, but he's right. The same thing with Vivek and the same thing with a lot of you mofos who aren't native to this country. Okay, you're immigrants. You come here because your position, the place that you're in, is garbage You're defecating in the streets. You're drinking pee water. Of course, when you have a CEO of a company who's telling you toβ€”.

Speaker 1:

Now family. Y'all heard that. Y'all heard that Let us continue. I'm not going to comment on it. I was going to say something, but let us continue, go on.

Speaker 15:

I don't know, 20 hours in a day and paying you pennies on the dollar. You, of course, can be grateful. You're going to be like, yeah, I'm going to work hard, I'm going to get the American dream, while you don't understand that, hey, that's not the norm for everyone here. For us here in the country, us citizens who aren't immigrants, yeah, our standard of living is a little bit different than what you've grown accustomed to. So, yes, you may be willing to work to the bone over peanuts. We aren't. That's why they use you and exploit you, when they can't do that to us, because we will file a class action lawsuit, we will take their butts to court, we will put out a tweet, a video, we will call the news conference all right, because they can't deport us.

Speaker 15:

Patrick McDavid under his post you have a community note talking about hey, he got his money off of, you know a scam of multi-level marketing, just predatory practice, right, pyramid scheme. That's legal, that's how he got his money. Ironic, and I find it so interesting that all of these immigrants, the Vivics, the Patrick Beck, davids, that they constantly want to talk about, oh, you know, the American dream, the American dream. I'm like yo, you didn't get the American dream.

Speaker 15:

The American dream, if we look at your history and how you got your money, was to scam American people. Is that the American dream? Is it come over here and scam the American people and then talk about the American dream? If only I could go to America and scam the dumb Americans. Is that the American dream you're talking about? Because that's what it seems like.

Speaker 15:

It is okay, and so I want you to understand these people come over here trying to make money. That is their goal. They want to make money and they realize the best way they make money is to appease the racists of the country. That's the best way. That's a sure, fast way to make money. We see this with Kunduz Owens, right. But as we also see with Kunduz Owens and her Caribbean heritage, we also see that the wake up call always comes. Wake up nigga. Because he talks about in one of his shows that how there are white nationalists who are attacking him, right, and he's crying about how someone said that, hey, those founding fathers aren't your founding fathers. Because he put out a tweet talking about our founding fathers and everything. It's like fool, those aren't your founding fathers.

Speaker 11:

In the tweets I said our founding fathers. A guy responds back and says those are not your founding fathers. A guy posts a picture of the Shah of Iran and says that's your founding fathers. Oh son of a bitch.

Speaker 15:

Wake up, nigga. Now, all of a sudden, PBD has an awakening. Oh, these are nationalists.

Speaker 11:

You know a part of this there's nationalists and there's white nationalists.

Speaker 15:

What I could swear that this man been telling black people all this time about victimhood. Right, he's been having people on the show, a bunch of racists, a bunch of white nationalists themselves. And this is the issue that I love, right, this is the hypocrisy that is just delicious. All these immigrants here, whether it's Vivek, whether it's, you know, pvd, all of them want to tell black people lazy, you're victims. Okay, you're victims. They want to buddy-buddy with white nationalists? Okay, they're not a white nationalist, they just have a different view of the country. Right, they love saying that, oh, they just have a different perspective. Okay, they're not a part of the Democrat plantation, they're an independent thinker. The problem comes when these independent thinkers, when these not white nationalists because they're not white nationalists, they're just people with different opinions when they turn the reticle on them, that's when the problem comes into play. That's when they have to um, gee, ooh, ah. Well, it's only, it's less than 5%, right, oh my.

Speaker 13:

God bro, oh hell, no man, what the fuck man Get your ass on my that's what this goofy?

Speaker 15:

said Well, you know, I think the white nationalists are less than 5% of the country, so it's not even that big of a deal.

Speaker 11:

You know a part of this there's nationalists and there's white nationalists. White nationalists, vinny, don't want people like us here, I know they just don't. White nationalists are a very different model. You view me as go back to Iran, deport Elon back to what he calls South. Africa. Deport Vivek back to India, right, and you make those types of comments, all right. I don't think that's majority of America. I think that's less than 5%. No, that is the far right. Yeah, that's the far right. Ultra-nationalists, that's the far right.

Speaker 15:

Dig up please, bro. Do you understand what type of hell you have to be in? Do you want?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it sound like PBD effed around and found out. That's what it sound like to me. You sitting up here talking about oh, there's white nationalists, there's nationalists, then there's white nationalists, no, no, no, my dude, no, my dude. You, vivek, and all of Candace Owens, larry Elder well, gotta leave, because Larry Elder's a foundational but Candace Owens and all you, all the other, byron, donald, and all of them. You finding out, you F'd around and find out. You are not accepted in those white circles where white supremacy reigns at. You found out, but you still going to be licking it all in between their toes because that's how you keep your money.

Speaker 1:

That's how Vivic got his money, they told us. Because that's how you keep your money. That's how Vivian got this money. That's how Candace got blowed up like she did, because as long as she's talking all of this craziness and all of this goofiness about how lazy and shiftless and worthless American black people are, that's the higher, the more she gets more exposure, more money, more interviews and so on and so forth. This is what it is with her and Vivek. You remember him, man? He had his mouth on Trump's dirty drawers. He had his mouth on his dirty drawers the inside part of that, you dog. Yeah, that little snake weasel, vivek and I'm not in the habit of calling people out any names up here, but we got to call a spade a spade, so you know. But anyway, yeah, they done got their wake-up call and somebody else got a wake-up call recently too. Let's check it out, hold on.

Speaker 9:

Let's address the elephant in the room. He was such an elegant tune. Let's address the elephant in the room. Let's address the elephant in the room A beef. Let's address the elephant in the room. Let's address the elephant in the room A beef.

Speaker 13:

Let's address the elephant in the room Violence and all of the above and just actually become cool. You gotta get the white boy. I say there's only one white boy, there's nothing wrong, come on, nobody talking like that 2024.

Speaker 9:

What's next?

Speaker 13:

You passed the torch Officially, yeah, yeah, I mean, we got a legend here I'm talking about BX Native.

Speaker 14:

Just chilling with VP Harris. Not too long ago he hosted the BET Hip Hop.

Speaker 9:

Awards for the third consecutive year Heavy hitter.

Speaker 2:

Legend Mr Fat Joe.

Speaker 13:

You know, thank you. I resigned as host of the BET Hip Hop Awards because no, no, real shit. 2 Chainz said I've been monopolizing. So he said yo let me host. I know I could be a good host. I said you know what, my brother, you could be the host next year. You passed the torch Officially, yeah. Yeah, I mean BET don't know that Sidebar with 2 Chainz. He was like yo, I really want to do that. I was like, no question.

Speaker 3:

I love that. I love that I feel like Chainz would be a good host man.

Speaker 9:

I mean you held sense you pass the torch because now you can focus on the music, and that's why we hear new album first one in nearly 15 years that sounds weird to me why they keep saying that.

Speaker 13:

But I mean, like would I have plato plomo, that's man, go somewhere, go somewhere.

Speaker 1:

You didn't want to face that crowd. That's what it was, and I you you got the I'm playing for for your information, for your information, family. So y'all know. So y'all know you hear the music playing. That is Lord Jamal's one of the singles off his new music, his new album. Let's Address the Elephant in the Room oh, this is bad, this thing is a banger. Yeah, that's Lord Jamar's joint I'm going to play it again.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to play it again. I'm going to play it again. I got to let them know that I'm playing it up here. I don't want to get in no trouble with them. But yeah, I'm going to call FaZe in a minute and let them know that I played it. But you know, I'm just trying to do some little promoting up here for the brother. Check it out.

Speaker 9:

Let's address the elephant in the womb. Let's address the elephant in the womb. Shout out my Regans and Jamaicans. I know you think I'm hating, but you had no influence in creation of this hip hop. Your participation was tip top. But black Americans showed you how to rip shop. Have you forgot that? We taught you how to dress Back then, coming out looking like a mess, y'all were dumbing out tank tops made a mess, shoes clunky. We showed you how to get funky fresh. Yeah, family. So now you heard him.

Speaker 1:

That was on the Billboard show or whatever the podcast, billboard and he announced that he was stepping down from hosting the BET Awards, hip Hop Awards. I'm calling it cap. You know we've been on his bumper for the last two weeks now, ever since he did that interview with Math Hoffa and he was calling FBA, broke, ninjas and all this other stuff. And you know we are radical, racist radicals and all of this stuff, family, don't never let nobody tell you that we racist radicals we are not. Never let nobody tell you that we racist radicals we are not. We are taking pride in our lineage, our history and our people, and anybody that got a problem with that, they have a problem with you. Anybody got any negativity about that Cause all these other groups have been doing that. They can, they can do it. You know, I'm from Tobago, I'm from tobago, I'm from ghana, I'm from kenya, I'm from uh, uh, whatever. I'm from the congo, I'm from jamaica, I'm from haiti, I'm from, and they take so, and there's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't see nothing wrong with that. I don't see nothing wrong with it. But why is it a problem when we're doing it? We've defined, we've planted our flag and we've defined who we are. And everybody got a problem, even our own. They got a problem with it. Them Bule Negroes and even some people in these internet streets got a problem with it. Them boule Negroes and even some people in these internet streets got a problem with it. Oh, what is FBA? What is FBA? I ain't never heard no damn FBA. You know I ain't got to say no names up here, but you know who I'm talking about. But anyway, this opposition is coming from high up on the top. But anyway, family, yeah, people. What happened is right after he made those comments, the family got right on his bumper. I was calling the headquarters of White Castle. I emailed them at their emails for the New Year's thing. We wasn't able to stop that, but ABC got the message. They got it because of the emails went. I went. He's sponsored by the pharmacy CVS. I wrote them emails. That brother that does that podcast the Check-In Report. He has all the emails and people have been following him. So we've been flooding the emails and the phone calls to these sponsors who sponsor Joseph Cartagena, otherwise known as Fat Joe, and we've been on his bumper and now he's conveniently stepping down after all these years of hosting, these last several years of hosting the Hip Hop Award. Now he decides he's going to step down. That's because we've been on that bumper and you're getting some act right now.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, family, what I want to do, what I want to do before we leave out of here, we're dealing with knowledge, culture, right, we're dealing with knowledge, culture. Let's go back. Let's go back family and visit and visit the lessons. Let's go back. Let's go back. Come on, take a walk with me. 1 to 14. And it asks.

Speaker 1:

It then asks the question why did we run Haku and his made devil from the root of civilization over the hot desert into the caves of West Asia, as they now call it, europe?

Speaker 1:

And what is the meaning of, of your and rope, how long ago?

Speaker 1:

What did the devil bring with him?

Speaker 1:

What kind of life did he live? And how long before Musa came to teach the devil of the forgotten technology? And the answer was because they had started making trouble among the righteous people. Telling lies they they accuse the righteous people, causing them to fight and kill one another. Ya'aqoub was an original man and was the father of the devil. He taught the devils to do this devilishment.

Speaker 1:

And I'm not going to go any further into it, but I just wanted to go back and visit that. Right, that's their culture, that's the culture degree in the 1 to 14, the culture degree. And that's exactly what happened. We ran your fat behind out in the desert and we're not stopping. We don't want no apology from you, right, we don't want no apology from this guy. We want you to keep the same energy and we're going to keep the same energy. Okay, so that said family, that said we're going to get ready and blow out of here and we look forward to y'all coming and checking with us, checking in with us next week, tapping back in with us next week, and we're going to continue to talk and find solutions. And, yeah, that's what it's going to be. That's what it's going to be and we're going to rock out with a little something.

Speaker 7:

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, stomp your feet in the jungle brother, in the jungle brother, in the jungle brother. Clap your hands, stomp your feet, clap your hands, stomp your feet, clap your hands, stomp your feet, clap, clap, clap your hands, stomp your feet, clap, clap, clap the hand, stomp the beat, clap the hand, stomp the beat. Come on, ha-ha, hey, ha, hey, hey, breathe hey.
