Maryland Veto Overturned And Why It Matters

Delineation Movement Gains Momentum

Tired Of Studies, Demand For Action

SPEAKER_00

Peace, peace. Welcome back. Welcome back to Freeman's Affairs Radio. I'm your host, Vaughn Black. And right out the gate, right out the gate. I want to say thank you for tapping back in this morning, December 23rd, 2025. Oh man. Great to have you back. Great to be back up here. And spitting a little something. I want to just give y'all a round of applause for tapping back in there this morning. This is for you. This is for you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. All of you. You know, last week we launched. Well, we relaunched, and you guys showed up and showed out. And you're back here again this week. Thank you so much. We appreciate you here. Freedman's Affairs Radio. And um, as I said, today, December 23rd, 2025, with today's math is uh wisdom understanding. Right? Wisdom understanding. And let's touch on uh those two uh things really, really quick. Let's go into it. Right. Hold on. Wisdom the state or the quality or state of being wise, the knowledge of what is true or right coupled with what is just incorrect judgment as action, sagacity, discernment, or insight. Right? That is wisdom. And then you go to understanding what is it? Is this a this is uh it's a way of grasping someone's feelings, perspective, or a situation showing tolerance, compassion, and trying to see things from their point of view without necessarily agreeing. Fostering empathy, better communication, and stronger relationships through patient listening and validation, right? Wisdom understanding, and those things produce what we call power. Yeah, that's it. And um yeah, family, so we're here again this week. We're going to should I pause for a quick commercial or better yet? We'll just I'll just um get right into it. I'll just get right into it to today's um program because I don't want to keep you, so we're not gonna pause for for a commercial as of right now, maybe later on in the program. But um, what do we have lined up for today? What do we have lined up for today? Let's see. I got everything jotted down and okay. I took care of that. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. In the state of of, I think it's Maryland. Is it Maryland? Uh overturned Governor Westmore's veto of reparations. Right, family? This was last week. They the the high courts there overturned Governor Westmore's uh veto of reparations. Uh study for reparations. It wasn't uh reparations payout. It was more of a um a study, right? Let me get these low. These uh so this was some months back, uh back in the summer, I think it was, he vetoed the the bill that came up to his desk because he's the governor there in Maryland, and he shot it down for whatever reasons. You know, he's he's uh Jamaican, well, from Jamaican roots. I don't know if he's first generation or he migrated here. Was he born here? I don't I don't know. I haven't looked that deep into him, but anyway, he shot it down and they have overturned it. Now it's it's just as I said, it's just a study. So we don't we're not getting excited about it, but what we're what the thing that we are excited about is the fact that this delineation thing, family. I gotta say right out the gate, I didn't know it was this serious. I did not know. This thing is really uh uh shaking the table, and it's causing a lot of uneasiness amongst opposition as far as uh the tether class amongst us. Um the the overall diaspora, it is really upsetting a lot of people. Why? Well, we know why, but it's it's it's almost it's it's it's a pity that that that people are that upset about this thing, right? But they are because for years we've heard that, oh, y'all talking about reparations. Ain't nobody giving y'all no reparations and y'all monster, that's a pipe dream, and you go to y'all monster and go sit down somewhere, and nobody thinking about y'all, you know, you know, move on in life, you know, stop living in the past, you know, and now we now now see because this delineation thing, as I said, this this movement of delineation, this this renaissance, this reset, this revolution is picking up steam by the day to the point where you even have the young groups in the 20s and the college kids, the youngsters, talking about having having debates and having discussions about this delineation thing. And once that happens, once that happens, good gosh, look out. Yeah, so family. Um, this is the things we're excited about, not about the studies because they overturned that governor, that particular governor, about his veto, and they're gonna do a study because we're tired of studies. We know what happened. This is American history. We don't need to study this no more. The studies already have been done. Claude Anderson, Dr. Uh uh what's his name? Uh Darhrity. You know, uh I don't usually mention Tanahisi Coates up here. You know, he's not my guy. Um, even that Darrity, you know, we often mention Dr. Claude up here because he's a writer. Dr. Darrity, uh, but he's done the work. These are economists. Well, uh uh Dr. Darrity and Dr. Claude Anderson, these both of these gentlemen are economists. They have already done the study and and wrote treatises on these things. Right? There's plenty of material by Dr. Claude Anderson, plenty of material. And and salute to that general, salute to him who's been in this fight for so long. And we have to pick it up and we gotta run with it, family. But anyway, so this is um the things we're excited about, as I said. Let me get back to the notes, and um it has people, some people are losing their minds about this. You know, they're calling into, you know, some people hold spaces on X and TikTok and platforms like that, and people are just calling in. People from different foreign uh countries are calling in, and they're wondering why we hate them. We're focusing on the work we're doing and what's going on with us. We're not hating on nobody. You know, you you've become so privileged to tethering on to us and latching on to everything uh that we fight for, to now you feel someone owes you something. No, we're owed something, and this is what we're focused on. So never mind that, what you're talking about, right? Never mind that. Alright. So I want to take a quick gander over at because back I didn't make that meeting on December 9th, up in Utica, New York. You had the uh a hearing for the for the commission hearing up there for reparations. And I want to go into that a little bit. Let me see if can I find it? Because I want to I want to play my boy, my my good buddy uh Divine Princes. I want to play his part up here, and I'm gonna scout around to I find it family. Let me just uh sit this mic somewhere. In fact, that'll be a good cue for us to take a commercial break, a commercial, non-commercial break, and hear from some of the sponsors, and we'll do that and we'll come on back, okay? So let's do that.

Divine Prince’s Testimony Highlights

SPEAKER_00

Okay, we're back in. And family, as I said, uh I found it and I'm gonna pull it up here. This is the um on back on December 9th, Utica, New York, the hearing for reparations, the commission hearings on reparations. And I want to get to my man Devine's part right away. So without further ado, let's um let's tune into that. Let's tune into that because the Devine tore it up up in there. He he he represented as he always does. Hold on, listen up.

SPEAKER_03

That just goes to show you I am great at following directions. Oh, oh.

SPEAKER_01

Still greater.

SPEAKER_03

More directions. That's what that's that's what it's about. Um, so I'm really excited to be here and be before you guys. Um, I'm excited that my name was so close to Dr. Divine Pryor. I thought she was gonna call me. Um so I'm thankful for that as well. And um, these comments are in the spirit of getting it right. We understand that the justice claim is what the justice claim is. We know reparations is a debt owed, and we know it is a just claim. But they are rules, unfortunately, to the game that we're playing in the system that we find ourselves in. So, my name is Divine Prince, and I'm the president of the U.S. Freedmen Project, a nonpartisan organization committed to resurrecting the abandoned missions of what we call the Freedmen Acts of 1865. They established the Freedmen's Bank and the Freedmen Bureau. And we're the only organization in the state of New York advocating exclusively and solely for those black American families that survived enslavement and Jim Crow and all the badges, incidents, and vestiges of slavery. I have to begin by thanking the Black American grassroots for making this testimony here in Utica possible. They raised the funds necessary to make a trip from New York City for a Tuesday night public hearing possible. I'm also from Brooklyn, New York. And I'm glad to see that Utica is not just a street in our city. See, the white philanthropic foundations in this reparative justice space, like Liberation Ventures, the MacArthur Foundation, and others, do not fund those of us fighting for lineage-based reparations. They do, however, fund organizations that are fighting for race-based, unconstitutional reparations. And we all need to ask ourselves why that is. But I digress. I want to use this time to present recommendations for this commission. So, number one, demand as a commission that the authors of this bill that created this commission, Senator Sanders and Assemblymember Solajes, make amendments to the bill based on language from Assembly Bill 5603 for reparations remedies so this current bill and thus this commission can produce constitutional results. Y'all gonna hear me say constitutional a lot, and I'm gonna explain what I mean by that. Number two, here at the state level, we should not be content with being outdone by what's taking place at the city level. I mean, we all work together in conjunction, but in the spirit of friendly competition, we shouldn't allow them to outdo us. And so if number one doesn't get done, at the very least, we need to follow the lead of the city level and separate racial justice from reparations. They sound the same, but they're very, very different. I'm seeing some head nods, so I'm in the right room. This commission should create a racial justice subcommittee that solely studies the racial justice for people of African descent and have a separate committee solely focused on reparations for who the debt actually has to be paid to. Those black American families given the status of freedmen after winning the Civil War. Number three, African Americans is defined as everybody and anybody with origins and name of the black racial groups of Africa. That means continental Africans are African Americans, listen, listen. Afro-Latinos are African American, Afro-Asians are African American, and then black Americans, or who I've said and labeled as American freedmen, are also African American. The second part of that trick bag is that we're the only category that's labeled a racial group. I'm gonna get to that in a second. So this leaves black Americans without an ethnic group recognized by the federal and state governments with which to write legislation or receive specific set-asides, resources, or contracts. We recommend that this commission demand that Governor Hoku support and push the disaggregation of data in New York State. Number four. Number five. What we know is that due to the badges, incidents, and vestiges of slavery, black Americans have always been the number one victim of hate crimes in the USA. Because of the definition of the African American racial category, an anti-black or anti-African American crime bill would be unconstitutional. That's why we're calling on this commission to support an anti-friedman hate crime bill. In line number six with the anti-freedman hate crime bill, and the theme of both presentations you heard tonight, what we find is that the system of white supremacy has used immigration as a weapon against black Americans since emancipation. So we find the number of immigrant number of immigrant groups that have committed those hate crimes against us freedmen, like the Irish during the draft riots, or the crimes due to the Italian mafia, or the Jamaican shower policy that brought drugs and murder into the black American communities during that war on drugs. We recommend this commission bring in Andre Barnes of Numbers USA to present on the effects of immigration on black Americans. And in closing, I want to make the final and more informal recommendation to the commission. I recommend, no, I actually implore that this commission make the decision on getting on the right side of history. Politics based on race or blanket blackness are not only a thing in the past, but race is a tool of white supremacy. Audrey Lord told us that the master's tools would never be able to dismantle the master's house. The Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment prohibits any policy based on race. It was designed to protect us against the policy of whites only, right? But that sword cuts two ways. It also prohibits policy for blacks only. See, so the future of politics is based on advocacy, based on lineage slash ethnic groups, and not and building coalitions on respect wherever possible. If any of you saw the movie Centers, which just garnered a number of nominations, treat plug. The director Ryan Kugler called it a display of foundational black American culture. See, there is a foundational black American Renaissance taking place where justice and cultural autonomy is at the heart of it. So commission. I beg you. Please don't become yet another tool of white supremacy that we have to overcome. Thank you.

Being On The Right Side Of History

Culture, Family, And Community Reset

SPEAKER_00

Man Y'all heard it, y'all heard it. That's why I played it. Divine did his thing, man. He put his whole foot in that thing, man, and he did it. And how can how can you even retort that in any sense of the word? How could you retort that? This is all factual. All factual stuff. My brother was up there spitting. And whenever he gets a chance, because Devine is very busy. Whenever brother gets a chance, we're gonna get Devine back up here to spit to spit that fire, man. We had him up here once or twice. And that's my brother, man. That's my bro. And um, yeah, bro. Yeah. Man, that was powerful. That was a powerful thing he put up there. And um, I wish I could play some more, but we, you know, do due to time restraints, we have to keep moving. Hold on, hold on just a second. Yeah, so um, and brothers spoke about being on the right side of history. Now, as I stated before I played, before I played that clip, as I stated, you know, a few years back, some years, not too long ago, not too long, I don't even think more than five years ago. You had people telling us, y'all niggas are crazy. Ain't nobody giving y'all nothing. Y'all wasting y'all time with that reparations and and all this stuff, and y'all need to go sit down somewhere and and just work and and and do the best you can. Yeah, we're gonna do that anyway. We're gonna do that anyway. Whether we get it reparations or not, we're gonna do that anyway. And and this reset is just not about reparations. Reparations are at the forefront and justice, uh um, you know, criminal justice and stuff, you know, different things like that are in the forefront. However, this reset, this renaissance we have, when I say renaissance family, I'm talking about, you know, we know we're in in 2025, right? We know where we at in in history. We know. But you remember, if you go back and look in the history books and remember the Great Depression times and reconstruction time after emancipation, and you look at the family structure of black people. Now we've we've always had some problems. Granted, but the family nucleus was very strong. And this is the things we want to get back to, right? So when we say delineation, now most people in the diaspora, meaning Africa, the Caribbean, Brazil, different places like that where black people are, they think we're only delineating from them. No, we're delineating from also people in our own community, freedmen, foundational black Americans, that want to stay in the ignorant state, that want to stay on the social programs, don't want to do no better, they don't want the neighborhoods to become cleaned up and better places to live. You know, you got some people like that. And they want to, they just they they like things the way they are. Let me sell some drugs, let me do this, let me do that. We delineate from them also. The the ratchet and and the and the and the the loathsome and the degenerate among amongst us, those who want to stay there, but now those who want to do better, that might be in that state, but want to come out of that state, we we here, we here for it. But make no mistake about it, this delineation thing is is is very vast. And if you got any thoughts in your mind, you it's gonna be the same old, same old. No. I keep looping the music because um I, you know, I don't have the studio set up the way it I want it as yet, the new place. We in a new place, as I explained to you last week. And we're getting it together, family. We're getting it together, but we we're gonna um we do we're still sound treating the place and getting everything ready. That amongst a million other things we're doing. And before I go any further, before I go any further, I need everybody, I need everybody, please, please for me. And this is the only time that I will ask something of personal to me. I have a very close friend of mine, um, a man who who somewhat raised me and uh in the streets, he was a big brother to me, and he is um very ill at the moment, and um it seems it seems as though we come to the to the reality that these may be his final days. He's terminally ill, and I'm asking all of you to just if you whatever you enter your faith might be, send prayers to my brother Michael France, Maker, my man, hang on, bro, hang on, fight. He I went to see him Saturday at Long Island Jewish Hospital, and um he said to me, He said, Bro, I'm fighting the best I can. And um, you know, I tried to give him words of encouragement to to hang on and keep going. Um, it doesn't look good. And um, but his faith is very strong, you know. So I'm asking all of you to keep our brother in mind, keep keep my brother in mind, and and uh, you know, but uh thank you. I want to thank you in advance for that. But getting back to it, family, yeah, yeah, yeah. Getting back to it. Um let's see what we go. That's yeah, being on the right side of history. You see, uh, you had um, speaking of that, right? Speaking of that, okay, where we at? Okay, being on the right side of history and empowering ourselves. Regards to whom or what? Yes, yes. You see all that's going on around us, family, with with this uh Epstein files and all of this craziness with with with uh the collapsing of the FBI, and you got Candace Owen who's who's single-handedly seeming like she's crashing the MAGA Republican agenda. Now, they gonna they're getting on her tail now. She's catching backlash, but you know, back to being on the right side of history, you know, for she built her career off of denigrating and throwing black Americans under the bus, foundational black Americans under the bus, talking about our culture, how ignorant we are, and and the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on. She just kept things going and and now she has crossed the line because their thing would with the YT society, you know, if I can get in there, I'm good, you know. And what happens, they let her in, or they gave her the illusion that she was a part of something. She even married uh some guy. I think I don't know if he was uh a Jewish person or or you know, regular white, but he's a white man. I don't know. I think he's Jewish, not sure. Very wealthy, very, very wealthy man. And she has been just showing her behind ever since you know she got this big name and platform. They they she ran down into it with Ben Shapiro and they put her off of the um the daily show, and then she went and made her own um YouTube channel and stuff, and she's just been taking off. But, you know, she's stepping in areas where they she's a thorn in their side right now. And I'm I'm here for it. I got the popcorn. I got my center's bucket with my popcorn, and I'm just eating the popcorn and enjoying the show. You know, because she was America's sweetheart. As long as she was talking down and punching down at us, she was their darling. All of the conservatives, the black uh conservative uh boot licking brigade. And she was just uh she couldn't do no wrong. Now, now her and and this other bozo, um Myron Gaines, right? Let me show, let me, let me, let's go to our brother real quick. Let's go to our brother. Let's go to our brother real quick. Oh, I want to play something real quick. Hold on. Let me let me just cue it up. It's in the queue. He did a little piece on this. And check this out, family. Check this out. Hold on.

SPEAKER_02

Boy, how many times have these folks gotta let Myron Gaines know that he is not white and he is not invited in the circle like that? Now, I saw a couple of times where people have sent me links of these people just talking down to Myron. They calling him all kind of N-words and everything, and he just sitting there taking it because he wants to be the buffer. And I guess Myron didn't get the memo that the day of the buffer coming in, that's his ending. And so Myron tried to go into a turning point USA have been. And I want you to see how them good white people did with all the Myron over there. So Myron, you know, even though he's been told many times by these people on interface, that, you know, look, you know, we cool with something you're saying, but you know, what's really going on in the greater white supremacist society? Yeah, you can't you can't be around us, bro. You know, like the like the tokenization is is done. Now I remember the guy who's a Nick Fuentes. He had said uh about that he was tired of seeing uh people like Jason Whitlock and others who are out here making bucko money spewing their talking points. And he was like, we don't need them, we can sing it ourselves and we'll make the money, right? So that's what they own. They don't want to go through no black token anymore. They want to sing it themselves. And what I say to them right on, you need to sing it yourself. Don't don't sit up here and use no tokens. Let me tell you something. See, they look give me point that some of these immigrants like Myron likes to do. Um, I'm gonna go join Team White Supremacy. All the stuff that he says is white supremacy talking points. All of it. And with the folks letting them know that uh no, no, you better go find your own place. You can't come here. They stop with him at the gate. They know who he is, they know who he is. It's not that they don't know or whatever. They were told, don't let him up here. We don't want him up here. You sitting there looking stupid. See, there's no way there's a black man. Uh no, no way. You're gonna sit up there and tell me one good time I can't be around you for whatever reason. You never see me again. You never disrespect me like that. So I'm gonna I'm gonna leave the so so I don't cross into anything. You know what I mean? Like the like uh uh uh the the the inward the the they look at a man. Trying to speak against us. See Murray even though we got issues with you, you you could have got into uh uh uh the HBCU uh football game. You could have got in here, but you got out of pocket, they had a problem with you. All the all that that that racism and all of that because you come from from Sudan, so you think you you know the one you and the Somalis are not all Somalis, of course, but you and some of the Somalis, you better than black Americans, you and white supremacy talking point, and when they talk about uh countries, they talk about your country, bro. Sudan, they're talking about yours. You'll be doing fresh event out of the Sudan. Looking stupid. Oh on the phone on the phone. They will let me into the white supremacy of Finn. Can you help me? Like you just look like it look like a dummy, bruh. What is your self-respect? Where is it?

Studio Updates And Personal Prayer Request

Media, MAGA, And Tokenization

SPEAKER_00

Yo, I don't that's that's enough of Phil Scott. I don't I don't want to play his stuff too much, but yo, let me tell you what happened. Let me tell you what happened, family. Hold on, let's get it back up in here. Let me tell you what happened. So over the last weekend they had a Turning Point USA, had an event called America Fest. Um, you know, it ain't nothing but a clan rally. And they'll they usually they'll let a few of their conservative bootlicks in there. You'll see some blacks in there, a couple of blacks running around and grinning and smiling, and and and yes, a master, yes, a boss. You you have a couple of them, your uh your um, your April Chapman's and your um uh Vince Ellison's types, and your, you know, just boot the boot lickers. You know, licking the doo-doo off the bottom of them people's heels, the dog doo-doo. But see, now they get just like as the brother Phil Scott was trying to explain, that they're sick of them. They they don't really, they they because these people are getting big money off of their channels with their talking points, as long as you know what the rule is. You talk down on black people, black society, talk about how ignorant they are, how ghetto they are, how much uh their culture is trash, and they're then they're not good Christians, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. All that stuff, right? You're gonna make a you're gonna make a boatload of money doing that. But see, now they're sick of that. You making money off what they want to say. They, because you gotta remember, these people have a history of being cowards. You know, white supreme, white supremacy is is a historically a coward, cowardly movement. They don't stand on business, they hide always hid behind robes and hid behind um law and different things of that nature. They always had a cover to cover them. You know, so they, you know, but they now it's it's to a thing with this MAGA movement and all this stuff, it's to it, it's to a point now where they're saying they don't, they don't, they want to be out and open with their their biasness and their racial hatred. You know, they they they don't want to hide, have to hide behind your black, silly self. Because you want to kiss up to them and be around them. They don't want to do, they don't want you around. But these people now, let me tell you what happened because there's an afterstory about this. They fresh and fit went up there, both of them. Fresh and fit. Momreen was there, and the other guy, I forget that guy's name. The other guy, uh he's from Nigeria or something like that, you know, stupid-looking guy. But anyway, they went out of the other guy, got actually got in, right? They they asked him to leave. He was inside and he was seated, right? They asked him to get up and leave. And he he he was like, What did I do? I didn't do anything. Well, they was like, uh, we ain't got nothing for you, man. You just gotta go. You got you gotta get out of here. They didn't want him there. So, and then they didn't let Myron in. They know who these guys are because they they they probably know who I am, and I'm just a little speck of dust in this internet stuff, right? Just a little speck of dust. But they probably know or at least have heard of us up here, right? But they know some of these bigger influencers, they know who they are, right? They know who Myron is. So they the next day he came back. They I guess they contacted him. He came back because they're not at a place yet where they can just straight tell the bootlickers and the coons to get lost. They're not quite there yet. So they still, they still kind of sort of need them in a little in a little bit. Right? So, you know, they have still have some some type of use for them. So they they they figure it wouldn't be good public relations to just leave it as it was. They asked them to leave the other guy to leave, and they wouldn't allow uh Myron interest into uh access into. To the event. So they contacted them the next day and told him to come on. And the excuse that they gave what happened was there was a some kind of discrepancy with one of their IDs. Now these people go in these events under with journalism credentials. Journalist credentials, I should say, right? And they said the excuse they gave it was some mix-up with one of their credentials. These people know who these guys are. These guys are big influencers. They have a big following. Very popular people. So what you know who they are. That was order given down from the top. Don't let them in. We don't want them here. So they had to backtrack and clean that up a little bit, and they let them in the next day. And you should have seen these bozos standing there grinning, and they gig, they were so giddy and giggly and bubbly that they got in. You got no respect for your own self. Just as Phil Scott said. Just as Phil Scott, uh brother Phil Scott said. Once you tell me you don't want me around, you ain't even got to tell me. You could act like you don't want me around. And you ain't got to worry about me no more. I got people in my family, right? I just had to cut some folks off in my family that they never said nothing to me or gave me indication verbally that that they felt some kind of way. So I I go on vibes. I go on vibes. Straight shut it down. Shut it down. I don't listen. You go your way, I go my way. I don't want to know nothing about you. You ain't gotta worry about me. And I'm done. FOH, I'm done. And then they'll you know come back and try to go. I don't know what happened. No, no, no, no, no. You know exactly I go off of vibes. You give me the the the uh inkling of a vibe, like you don't want me around, or you feel some kind of weight, you ain't got to worry about me at all. I'm gone. I'm in, I'm just like sand in it, like you blow blow a handful of sand. So these people have no self-respect or no self-esteem or nothing like that or no value. So this is why they was back there the next day, bubbly and giggling and so giddy to be back. Oh gosh, they let us back in, event. But family, family, we're gonna get ready to blow out of here because we've done been up here long enough. And uh come on back next week and check on us. And uh we'll see if we, you know, we're gonna have a good time. And before we go, before we go, uh today is the 23rd, and like I said, we're dealing with wisdom understanding. In a couple of days, people will be celebrating the Christmas uh event. A lot of families, a lot of you are Christians or you enter the Christmas holidays, and I want to say happy holidays to you all. And some of us uh uh Hanukkah just passed and uh we uh wish well for everyone who's who who subscribe to those to those disciplines. Some of you are Jewish, some of you may be Christian, some of you are Hebrew, uh some of some of us uh Muslims, some of you may be Muslims, uh or whatever you're into. You know, we want to wish you happy holidays and and be safe and be merry, enjoy your family, and enjoy each other. Freedmen I'm talking to. But it does but all of you who listen who may not be freedmen, happy holidays to you also. Take care. And remember, you must respect life, love justice, cherish freedom, treasure the peace. Vaughn Black is out. Y'all take care, peace.
