Welcome And A Shorter Show
SPEAKER_01Peace, peace, and welcome back, family. Welcome back, Freeman's Affairs Radio. I'm your host, Vaughn Black, Aaron Vaughn Black, to be exact. And always, always out of the gate, out of the gate. It is a pleasure and greatly appreciative from us up here at the at the network for you to be joining us once again on this glorious sunrise. May 12th, 2026. The numerical focus for the day is knowledge, wisdom. Knowledge, wisdom, and that bonds or produces understanding as we know it, right? And we try to get some understanding up here every week. When we come up here, we try to get some understanding. And today is just like just like any other day, but I will be cutting the program a little shorter. I'm gonna try that. We're gonna try to stay for a few minutes and let you go. We're gonna keep start keeping the show shorter because I understand some of you may be driving in or at the gym or on your lunch break or whatever the case might be. You listen. And you know, usually we go, we was trying to keep it between 40 and 45 minutes, but lately it's been gone over an hour, and I think that's a bit much. So we want to try something new. So we're not gonna we we're gonna be moving expeditiously through the program so we can have a discussion and let you go. And you give us your thoughts. You can email us at freedmansaffairs radio.org or leave a comment in the description boxes. You can leave a comment and we will read them as as promised and
Lessons On Knowledge And Power
SPEAKER_01like that. But anyway, back to the math. We're dealing with the math today. Let me turn the bed down. And in the in the lessons, as we call it, or supreme wisdom, as some may call it, and some call it the lessons. We want to go to the 1 to 40, from the 10th degree to the 12th degree, because the day is the 12th. And like I said, it is it is knowledge, wisdom which bonds understanding or produces understanding, right? So in the 10th degree, in the one to 40, it starts off, it says with a question that is answered by Elijah Muhammad, and it says, Who is that mystery god? And he answered, There is no mystery God. The Son of Man has searched for that mystery god for trillions of years and was unable to find a mystery god, so they have agreed that the only God is the Son of Man, so they waste no time searching for that which does not exist. And in the eleventh degree, he asks the question, Will you sit at home and wait for that mystery God to bring you food? And he answered, emphatically not. And in the twelfth degree, another question was raised, and it said, It asked the question, tell us why the devil does not teach that. And he answered, because he desires to make slaves out of all he can, so that he can rob them and live in luxury. And we're gonna keep it right there, family. And that's part of what's part of gonna be a part of the discussion up here this great morning. This it's gonna be a sunny day today. So I'm gonna do this broadcast and and get up out of here and enjoy some of the early morning sun and and everything, and and hopefully have a good day, and hopefully you have a good day. Yes, but uh before we go into the program, we want to get the bio because as promised, as promised, I try to keep the bios
Remembering Dr. Jane C. Wright
SPEAKER_01every week. And I told you why I'm doing that is to recall some of the memory of our great past. Because as we there's a saying that says, history repeats itself. So in this in this time that we are in, we're hoping repe uh we're hoping to make history repeat itself. So this is why I come with the bios to all these great people that we discuss and we talk about up here and we pay homage to them to give us that recollection of that memory of the greatness we came from, the greatness that we have hibernating inside of us. And today's bio, today's bio is uh Dr. Jane C. Wright. And to give you just a quick, I want you to Google her, because we're not going to go into her whole thing, but I want you to Google her. She was born November 20th, 1919, and died February 19th, 2013. She was a native New Yorker. Uh she she died in New Jersey, but I think she was born in New Jersey. No, she was born here in Manhattan, okay, in this in the borough of Manhattan. Right? And uh to give you a quick overview, um uh she's she's also known as Jane Jones. She was a pine pioneering cancer researcher and a surgeon noted for her contributions to chemotherapy. In particular, right, is credited with developing the technique of using human tissue culture rather than laboratory mice to test the effects of potential drugs on cancer cells. She also pioneered the use of the drug methotrexite to treat breast cancer and skin cancer. And you can look her up, like I said, Google her, and you know, this is this is another great one. But she is the bio, the biographer, the biography for this week. Okay. Family, today is we're gonna
Supreme Court Rulings Spark Remaps
SPEAKER_01have a short discussion, real short discussion about what's going on. And in the world, in in the United States of America, you know, everybody's up in arms, especially uh a lot of a lot of black people, a lot of a lot of media is in and up in arms about uh these recent Supreme Court decisions regarding the latest Supreme Court rulings from from the uh United States uh SCOTUS. Excuse me, family. But yes, this was a 6-3 decision to allow a remapping of districts, especially in the southern states. Give me a second, let me clear. Every time I get ready to start going doing a live broadcast, something happens. I'm choking, I'm sneezing, or something happens, and I hate that because it disrupts the flow. It disrupts the flow. But anyway, back to it. We uh we're gonna go to some things here. All right, let me let's get to it. Uh yeah. So uh this started, I believe this started on April 29th. Uh the Louisiana racial gerrymandering ruling. On April 29th, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Louisiana versus uh Calais that the state's new congressional maps were unconstitutional and racial gerrymandering. Now, the core issue is that the court found that race predominated in the in the drawing of a second majority black district without compelling interests. This is what got it got it into the court. And impact has essentially signaled other states that they can move to redraw and potentially eliminate majority-minority districts. You know, the state of Louisiana has already suspended its primaries because of this, right? And it's having a southern chain reaction with with Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida. Uh Virginia, Virginia was, I think, was the Democrats were trying to do something of the like uh to try to stop it or do something of the same magnitude, but the the court knocked them down. Uh the GOP, you know, they they they're strong right now. They're strong. You know, uh Virginia Democrats hit a major wall on Friday, May 8th. The ruling was Virginia Supreme Court voted a voter-approved redistricting amendment. That's what that's what they did. Because they didn't follow all of the rules. They're such in the Democrats are such in an uproar about this that they they forgot to follow certain rules. So the so when it got to the co to the high courts, it they shut it down. Immediately, they shut it down. Okay. Now, what has been going on? This was nothing that it shouldn't have took nobody by surprise, especially in the Democratic side of the field, or anybody that was kept up with the politics. I didn't keep up with it, but I knew something of the matter only because of the work that I do. So, but this the the Republicans have been signaling that this was gonna happen 15 years ago. Maybe a little more than that. So they both sides do this gerrymandering uh mapping. They both sides practice it. It's just whichever side has the power at the time pulls the trigger. So this is nothing that the Democrats don't do. Now, this is all by all accounts, this is legal from from the from the from the Republicans, this is legal, and it is not unlawful, it's not unconstitutional. They're following the rules. It's just that they have the upper hand right now and they pull the trigger. Obama had the chance to do this during, I think, I believe it was his first term. He had the chance to do this, and he didn't do it because he thought it would be unfair to the to the right. And you knew he's soft. He's he's soft. He's always been soft. You understand? You cannot, you cannot, not that I'm taking up for either side, I don't care about either side. I'm only concerned with what can I get for my vote if I decide to vote for either party. That's it. I don't have any allegiance, any loyalty to either side, and e neither should you. As a black foundational black American, descendant of freedmen, this is where we're headed. But back to it, they had a chance to do this. You cannot, you cannot be civilized with a savage. You cannot sit down and attempt to be civilized with a savage opponent. It's not gonna work. You have to be able to be just as cunning and conniving as your enemy, as your opponent, in order to be successful. You see, the thing is you can have morality. There's nothing wrong with having morality. It's a great thing, actually. But you gotta have to understand in war, in war, just because you have a rule doesn't mean your opponent is going to abide by your same rule. He might not care nothing about your rule, and this is what is happening. Like I said, Obama had a chance to do this and he refused to do it when he when the Democrats had the upper hand and they had the opportunity to do it. They didn't. So now, what this is, these people are losing their minds because they are redistrict redistricting these maps in these red states where they had democratic strongholds in certain districts, and you know, they
Packing And Cracking Explained
SPEAKER_01would they they they able to well, let me say it like this. In there's a there's two terms they use. One is called packing, and the other one is called cracking. The Democrats densely use their stronghold states, New York, California, uh, what is it, Atlanta, there's a few of Philadelphia and a few others, right? These are very strong democratic territories uh where you have large groups of black people in these in these metro city type areas, right? But now they the the the Republicans have the rural areas. The Democrats did densely populate the big cities, and that's that's their mechanism, and that's called packing. But now what's happen what you're seeing happen is now is the the the Republicans are cracking and they cracking ass with these with these remaps, they're cracking ass, and the Democrats upset a lot of them. They stand to lose seats in the uh in the House, and I'm I don't I don't really care about it because you know we their whole thing, they're coming at it as black people are getting ready to lose representation in Congress. When have we had representation that worked for us? That's my whole thing behind this. When have we had representation that actually does anything for us? We have a congressional black caucus with 60 seats, right? The biggest caucus in Congress. You have Latin American caucus, you have uh different caucuses for different ethnic groups and nations, uh people that support uh represent different foreign nationals or whatever the case might be, but ethnic groups, I should say, not foreign nationals, but ethnic groups. And the the the Congressional Black Caucus, the CBC, is the only one that don't fight for black people. They fight for everything else. LGBT, foreign nationals, illegals, and uh abortion and all this other craziness they they fight for. But they but if you mention reparations or any kind of crime bills specifically for black Americans, they'll walk away from you. No, I can't talk about that now. Send me an email, I'll get back to you, and uh, you know, we we're not gonna do reparations. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. And they'll walk away, they'll run, they run right, they don't even want to talk to you. So essentially what this boils down to, family, is the the the they're fighting for control of the to the census. And the Republicans stay strong in the rural areas. They can, they can, even though the Democrats can can tally up big votes and big blocks of chunks of votes, the Republicans
Representation And The CBC Critique
SPEAKER_01still stay, even in the Democratic strongholds, the Republicans are usually spread out in the rural areas, and they're able to mathematically stay in a tight spot with right along with the Democrats, even though they hold the big metro areas. So again, these people haven't been fighting for us, and we have a lot of black faces in Congress. A lot of black faces. But you know the old sayings, all skin folk ain't kin folk. And even though you have these these uh big uh black faces in high places, they're not doing anything. They haven't been for decades for black people. Because it's there's a guy right now they call uh Chud the Builder. He's running around, he's he's hot on YouTube right now. They're running around. This guy's running around on the auspice of free speech, and he's calling people the N-word to their face. He's running up on people, black people, uh strangers in society, and just calling them the N-word, antagonizing them, and they're letting him they're letting him do this. Law enforcement is almost acting like his personal security because he's going under the auspice again of free speech. But what he's doing, he's antagonizing people, so maybe someone will react and maybe hurt him or pew-pew him or something like that, and then he, you know, this is gonna go viral. Everything is attention now. Everything is about attention and clicks, views, and likes. So this is what's going on. But family, here's what's happening. The Democrats now are in big trouble, and they're raising hell because now the black vote is not, they don't have a chokehold on the black vote anymore. Now you're gonna have to work. You're gonna have to work for the black vote. That means you're gonna have to produce. And we become, we have the potential to become a swing vote for for either party. And that's I believe that's a good thing. This is what I'm hoping that comes out of all of this. Uh the midterm math, uh nationally, these changes, you know, they're currently netting a a projected eight-plus seat advantage for the Republicans, which could be a deciding factor for the for house control. This this is uh this is what what what they're looking at, right? Now, the big thing it went on in in in the state of Louisiana, like I said, the the the Cali, the Callus effect, uh, that was April 29th. Unconstitutional racial gerrymandering, right? They decided on that. Tennessee, right after that, on May 7th, Tennessee did the cracking effect. Like I said, there's the packing and then there's the cracking. Tennessee has done the cracking, and they've been cracking day behind. They've been cracking the Republicans wide open. They took the 9th district in Memphis and cracked it, and cracked it into three different pieces, right? Like I said, uh Democrats trying to do something in Virginia, and the court shot them down. So now they're they're just uh they they they're they're on TV every day. They're on the different networks and they're complaining because now they gotta work. Jim Kleinburn down there in uh in the state of um South Carolina, that man has been on that seat for 30 years. For 30 years, that that that district he's over is the sixth poorest district in the nation
Black Voters As A Swing Bloc
SPEAKER_01and has been for the last 30 years. Most of the Democratic strongholds in these big cities, right? The schools are underfunded, right? The the children are not reading up to grade level and and they they their comprehension is not up to grade level. You got failing schools, failing infrastructure, the the uh failing inf the infrastructure is falling apart. High taxes and lower services for the constituents. So what are we missing here? Now, the the the the left has been gaslighting black people. They've been sending these these dudes out with these these uh phonies out with all of this this uh this uh Martin Luther King cadence they're speaking in. What is this this kid with the afro? I forget his name, something other. Uh this kid, uh Jason uh what is it, Pearson, I think his name is. He's up, he's up there, he's doing all of this this performative, getting arrested, and and and I don't know what tomorrow doing all that phony type that that knockoff Martin Luther King cadence and going playing on the people's emotions. You know, black people were very emotional, and now. We're trying to get out of that emotion and trying to face this thing with logic and strategy. Logic and strategy. They'll come and tell you, oh, the sky is falling. We get ready, we get ready to go back to slavery and Jim Crow, they get ready, they get ready to take everything away. We ain't gonna be able to vote or nothing. There is no one that said you couldn't vote. Now black people all over the country. If you got if you're a citizen, you got your credentials, you can go vote. There is no reason for you to be falling for this gaslining tactic. The reason why these people upset, the average the Congress salary starts at a hundred and uh seventy-four thousand annually. This is this is the starting salary for Congress, right? A hundred and seventy-four thousand dollars annually, not counting uh per diem for traveling, hotel stay, uh honorariums for speaking engagements, and most of the time people somebody's right now to speak for you because it's always an agenda to the party. So they're gonna tell you what they want you to say. So you're making money, and you look up two, three years later, that salary, that annual salary at 174,000. Now this person is worth two, three million dollars because of the you know, the the the money. Make no mistake about it. Make no mistake about it, family. That all of this has to do with with keeping power. Now these people, some of them are gonna lose their seats. They're talking about the congressional plug black caucus
Gaslighting Claims Versus Local Reality
SPEAKER_01could possibly lose half of their seats, right? Which is good. You need to get dismantle, get rid of them, because they don't do anything for black people. And we can prove this. The other thing is this a lot of those people that are in Congress, black people, the black faces in high places, now they're gonna have to go get jobs now because they're gonna be out of Congress just like Jasmine Crockett down there in in uh I think it was Houston. Now you gotta go get a job now. You're not sitting around getting that getting that 174,000 hours for nothing. You're gonna lose your Congress seat, you're gonna lose your job. Get out and go drive Uber or something. And you're not gonna be able to go to the big banquets anymore, the NAACP awards and all of this stuff, and these banquets and these fancy dinners and these gallers and all of this stuff. You're done. Get out. You're not doing nothing anyway. So, hey, you understand? So this this is the thing, family, and this is why they're raising hell. It's not about, it's not about the people, it's not about black people. And the first thing they come to us with, oh, black representation, black representation, we're gonna lose everything. The sky's falling. It's always been falling, it's been falling for the last couple few decades. The sky's been falling. And the only thing you can come up with is Trump is bad, the Republicans are racist. Well, you're just as racist because all of this is about white liberals keeping power. That's it. The the census comes out every 10 years, and in these democratic territories, if they can galvanize and pack these districts, this is why the thing with the illegals, they want all these foreigners in here because of the numbers, and it packs districts. Even if they can't vote, it's still on the census, and that census dictates federal money. This is why they put all in the blue states, they want to pack these illegals because it guarantees federal funding. That's that big money. That's all this is about, family, is these people keeping their power. It has nothing to do with you and I and voting. It has really nothing to do with that. And uh we got a few more, a few more minutes, we'll stay and we'll get out, we'll get ready, get out of here. But let's see what else we got. I don't have any news reports eclipsed up here. We're gonna we gotta move fast. Uh what's happening is the the the GOP, right, the the right, is using these maps to hold a to hold a slim majority in the house. So, you know, this is this is what it's about. And, you know, don't we cannot afford to
Census Numbers And Federal Money
SPEAKER_01be gaslit and and let uh people you know, because with these districts, when them with the Democrats packing these districts, that was almost guaranteed. This is why cats like James, J Jim Clyburn, down there in South Carolina, in that district he's in, he didn't have to do anything because he knew damn there was nobody that was gonna ever be able to challenge him down there because of the the way they packed those maps. And he didn't have to do nothing. He was gonna hand that, when he retired, he was gonna hand that off to his daughter. His daughter was gonna be next in line, and she would have been on there for another 20, 30 years in that same seat. Let them have their way. And that that money, that money, that federal money is guaranteed as long as they can pack the census and and uh dominate the census like that with those numbers, they're gonna they're guaranteed federal funding in those districts. Guaranteed. But as I said, you got failing schools, rising taxes, lower uh reclining, declining services, higher taxes and declining services in these in these uh districts. Most of the Democratic, just do the math, go look at it, family. Don't take my word for it. Don't take, don't listen to me. Don't listen to me. I'm just running my mouth up here, and I'm just bringing it to you. Right? And uh with that, with that family, we're gonna get ready to we're gonna get ready to get out of here and bid you a farewell and hope you
Final Thoughts And Listener Feedback

Wright, look her up, Google her family, because we're trying to recall that memory. All right, y'all take care. Peace.
SPEAKER_00Hey, listen to the mess.
