Ben Shephard & Chris Kamara on The Unbelievable Show, Football and Friendship

There are some duos that just click… and Ben Shephard and Chris Kamara are firmly in that category. 

In the latest episode of The MarshyCast, I sat down with the pair to talk about The Unbelievable Show, their new live tour taking stories, laughs and plenty of personality to audiences across the UK. 

Naturally, football was high on the agenda. We spoke about Kammy’s long and colourful career in the game, including his time with Portsmouth F.C., a chapter that will be of particular interest to listeners on the south coast. 

We also discussed why now feels like the right moment to head out on tour. Both men have enjoyed hugely successful broadcasting careers, but there’s something special about taking that chemistry directly to a live audience. 

One of the funniest moments came when I asked how they first met. Let’s just say Ben was happy to share… while Kammy was a little less enthusiastic about revisiting the story. 

Beyond the laughs, there was also a more heartfelt side to the conversation. Kammy spoke about life after his brain injury, the challenges that came with it, and the resilience that has made him such an admired figure far beyond football. 

We also talked about his work with Howdens and his continued passion for supporting grassroots football, helping the game thrive at every level. 

And of course, no football chat would be complete without predictions… so I had to ask who they think will lift the Premier League title. 

It’s a conversation full of humour, warmth and the kind of friendship audiences have loved watching for years.
