Through my personal journey, I've realized the importance of being present in little moments and actively choosing to engage with life. Connecting with others on a recent walk on our nature trail has shown me the power of community and the happiness that comes from everyday interactions. Hoping you find the joy of connecting in everyday interactions as you listen to this week's episode.

As we approach a new year, it is an opportune time to reflect on the past and plan for the future. I challenge you to make time for this reflection and planning, incorporating gratitude into the process. By reviewing your progress, setting new goals, and moving forward with gratitude, you can create the life you desire.
One of the main tradeoffs involved in challenging milestone-based happiness is the need to let go of societal expectations and external validation. Society often tells us that we need to achieve certain milestones, such as getting a promotion, buying a house, or reaching a certain level of success, in order to be happy. However, I believe true happiness comes from within and can be found in the present moment, regardless of external achievements.
(00:00:45) Living Abundantly Without Waiting for Change
The key to developing an abundance mindset lies in consciously choosing positive perspectives and flipping scarcity-based thoughts. I encourage you to view your life from a state of gratitude as this will attract more of what you desire. I understand that shifting to this deliberate thought process may not be easy, especially when facing challenging circumstances. However, I promise you that by working to see the blessings within each of your circumstances, your burdens will be lifted and you will develop the hope for a better future as you move forward.

I am excited to introduce you to my new friend Thais Fernandes. I felt inspired to leave this conversation as raw and natural as possible as I edited it. This was the first time Thais and I had met and it was amazing to see how our thoughts came together in real time. Inspiration is real as women seek to grow, develop and share their light and talents with others.
I loved this quote from our conversation:
"You have this amazing team in Brazil, and you said you have to be surrounded by the right people. Well, that doesn't just happen either, right? Heavenly Father can guide and what I've seen is sometimes those people are placed in my life even before I realize the connection or the purpose of why I needed them. And as I've interviewed other women entrepreneurs who are faith-based, they've noticed that too, that Heavenly Father will provide. They are doing the work, don't get me wrong, they are doing the work. They are seeking the answers. But Heavenly Father provides that network of people in our corner when we need them. And sometimes it happens before we even realize what's happening...It's all divinely orchestrated."

How you view your obstacles will either make or break your ability to move forward as you pursue your goals and dreams. Today's episode is loaded with questions as you ponder on your beliefs about the challenges you face in life. Time to listen and reflect.
When we take certain actions to avoid feeling our emotions, this is called buffering. It can be easy to spot in some instances, but other times it takes a little digging to see what's really going on below the surface. By reflecting on instances where we've used buffering to escape feelings of sadness, disappointment, or frustration, we can gain insight into our emotional avoidance and the reasons behind it.
I need you to understand that I am not shy about coaching people through questions of faith. It is actually something that I feel honored to do, as I feel it is very close to the heart and brings a certain level of vulnerability that can be difficult to navigate. So, if you have questions about your faith and don’t have anyone to turn to who feels safe, please reach out. I am happy to facilitate that for you. My faith is personal and unique to me and it doesn’t have to be the same faith as what you are looking for. I’m here when you need me.
If you know me in real life, you know I am a big proponent of kids packing their own bags for vacation and letting the natural consequences play out. That doesn't mean I just say 'go pack your bags' and wash my hands of the outcome. I typically write a list, reference the list several times, ask follow up questions, confirm certain details before we head out and then I attempt to wash my hands of the outcome. Thus the reasoning behind my son tromping through a college campus with his extremly clunky cowboy boots instead of his more comfortable tennis shoes and why I keep multiple brand new toothbrushes in the center console of my car. We're all a work in progress. I hope today's episode will serve as a reminder to double check your emotional backpack before you head into the next chapter of your life.

Have you ever stopped and just thumbed through a dictionary? Isn't it amazing to see just how many words there are? Each word has a specific meaning and description. Paper dictionaries may be a thing of the past but we each carry around our own internal dictionary that describes who we are. By taking a look at what's inside of our internal dictionary, we can gain a greater awareness of the thoughts and ideas that are contributing to our growth and our failure. Grab a pen and paper and join me for today's Question of the Day.
The power of questioning in personal development is a transformative tool that can lead to a more fulfilling life. By asking ourselves the right questions, we can gain clarity, direction, and understanding of what we truly want and need in our lives. Join me as we kick off our new Question of the Day Series. Each day will bring a new question for you to ponder on and explore. Grab a pen and paper and let's dig in together!

Join me for a quick conversation about communication and engagement in life. After a recent experience with miscommunication and misunderstandings, I realized how important critical thinking, active participation, and openness to new ideas is to members of a group when working towards a common goal. I believe we each need to take responsibility for our emotions and narratives. Proactively approaching life with humility, love, and confidence can foster a more positive and effective communication environment. It is time to reengage with life, contribute our thoughts and ideas, and positively impact our relationships and communities.
