LaLaurie Mansion, the house of nightmares
Welcome to Wicked Darkness. We are beginning our second season with a house where nightmares were created, and those nightmares were expanded even further on TV series American Horror Story. On April 10, 1832, was the night that the citizens of New Orleans Louisiana would discover the nightmares happening behind a locked door at 1140 Royal Street, the home of the socialite Madame Delphine, her third husband Dr. LaLaurie and her children. It came to light after the cook decided she would rather kill herself by burning the building down while she was shackled to the stove, then deal with what would surely be awaiting her on the floor above her if she defied Delphine in any way. Come along as we discuss the stories of the LaLaurie Mansion and its mistress.
