The fighting stops—but the silence is worse.

After surviving another brutal night in the wilds, Annabel, Quinn, Miller, and Thelandor press forward toward Norvale once more. Their destination is clear: a root cellar in the western fields where survivors were said to be hiding. 🌾❄️

But something is different.

The smoke is gone.
 The fires have burned out.
 And the land sits in an uneasy stillness.

From the edge of the fields, the party scans the horizon. No gnolls. No movement. No signs of life. Just a quiet that feels… wrong. 👁️🌑

Miller leads them closer, guiding them by memory toward the cellar near his home. Familiar ground, now stripped of comfort. Every step carries weight. Every glance toward the town raises the same question…

What happened here?

As daylight begins to fade, Quinn sends her familiars into the sky, searching for any sign of movement within Norvale. But distance, darkness, and uncertainty make answers hard to find. The closer they get, the more the tension builds. 🐺

Because sometimes the most dangerous thing isn’t what you see…

…it’s what you don’t.
