Welcome back to The Gathering Tabernacle Podcast! Today's episode we are welcoming Pastor Bob Allmon to share short testimonies along with giving the answers how to break off the chains in your life. *Spoiler Alert* - the answer is Jesus.
If you have a need today, the answer is Jesus! God drew a bloodline over our lives so whatever you are tired of in your life take action through the power and authority of Jesus Christ. You get the choice to make if you want to continue wearing the heavy chains, or if you're going to take them to Jesus and walk in His authority to break them off. Jesus is still on the throne so no you are not defeated walking on this earth. You do not have to wait until you get to Heaven to have peace or joy within your life. The time is now! The work is finished! Jesus didn't defeat death so you could continue to walk in darkness. He defeated death so you wouldn't have to live a miserable life but rather walk in freedom. Situations may not always change, but your peace in Him will. So why are you still running from God? He makes such a difference in your life if you allow Him to. There is more! There are people who are saved but still trapped in graveclothes. (John 11: 43-44) No more walking bound, but in freedom because of the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

But we have your word, Lord. That that tells us, Lord, how holy you are, Lord. We have your word that says that you chose to come and live inside of us, Lord. We have your word, so we know, Lord, if you're holy, we're holy, Lord, because you come to reside in us. Thank you for what he's doing in your life today. And thank you, Lord, that your guidance is your directness, Lord. Straight is the gate barrel is the way that leads to life, Lord. Lord, and we praise you, Lord. Lord, that we have a chance to walk on that, Lord. Your word says there's few that find it, Lord. Lord, but we thank you, Lord, that we understand you are the way. And we trust in you, Lord, with all of our heart. And we lean not on our own understanding, Lord. In all of our ways we acknowledge you, Lord. And your word says you will make our path straight. If we acknowledge you, Lord, in every situation and everything that's going on in our lives. We praise you and honor you in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Amen and amen. Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_01Good morning. Papa Bob Allman is with us here this morning. He is excited to be here. Don't think he's exc I don't think he's as excited to be here as I am excited that he's here. So right? That makes sense. I think I'm more excited that he's here than he's excited than he's here, but he's so excited to be here. Something like that. Clear as mud. Clear, clear as mud. Even Lindsay understood it. So praise the Lord. I don't know who voted for Lindsay, but but uh no one. Surely somebody did. So man, just uh exciting times coming up here uh man all year, but we had a fabulous time yesterday up in up in town cleaning up uh a couple yards there, a couple ladies' house and yard, and she was very thankful. So uh you know it it it's awesome just to see, you know, like like like people that are that are truly thankful and like well we didn't do this for nothing other than then we just love people and we just love you and it was good for for everyone to get together and and uh for those that were able to make it this time, you've seen how how thankful she was there, and and uh so so that's exciting. And then uh we're gonna try to get with some people, we're gonna try to get a roof put on her house or the water's leaking in her house, so we're gonna try to help her out with that too. So amen, right? Word says something about taking care of the widows, right? So so that's glorious. So let's read our efficient prayers. Amen. Because the word works. The word works for the one who works it, right? All right, Father God, this is what we want from you. We want you to give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of you so that the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened. We want to know your call on our life, the inheritance that belongs to us, and the authority we have as believers. I thank you, Father, for helping us see more clearly. Our greatest need is a spirit of wisdom and revelation. I thank you, Lord, for opening my eyes. All right. Father God, I pray you would strengthen my inner man through your spirit. Reveal to me your unlimited riches and glory, that the faith of Christ would be released inside me, and he would become my very source of life, that I may be able to comprehend with the other saints your intimate, far-reaching love of Christ, how enduring and personal it is beyond measure, until I'm filled, overflowing with your fullness, God, and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, because you're able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To him be the glory. Amen. Amen. You know, you know, to even comprehend that he's able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. So if you can ask it or think it, we're we're not even we're not even getting there yet, because he's able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that. And that's how much he loves you. That's how much he loves his children. Man, it man, try to think of something that's exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. You can't get there. You can't think exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. But but I can think of some stuff that seems exceedingly abundantly in my mind. I can think of some stuff that seems exceedingly abundantly there, but but he's able to do do far above that. So our only limit we have in Christ is ourselves. We're limited by our mind. Our mind. So we're so honored to have uh Papa Bob Allman here. And uh I've actually asked him to do the tithes and the offerings this morning and uh and to preach what the Lord has laid on his heart. But uh, and the reason I ask him to do the tithes and offerings is because it's good to have a different inside of stuff, a different, you know. He may say the exact same thing that everybody else would, but but when the word comes out, it's like, oh well, yeah, like like I get it now, you know. You know, and until we get revelation of the word, it don't matter how many times you you hear it. You know, I I was when we was up there working the other day, um Chloe said something about was talking about preaching on faith, and she said, you know, Dan preached on faith for I don't know how long, and I think it was like almost the last one of the not that I don't still preach on faith, but when we was kind of doing that series, like like it was months into it, and then I finally got it, and I thought, amen that you got it, but amen. But I'm thinking, how how many didn't get it? If it took her that long when she she goes through the podcast and listens to them three or four times and listens to the sermon and then does all that, you know, and the reason I say that's because I believe it was um Orle Roberts that said, When you get tired, you know, oh my Lindsay, we won't pick on Jonah. Has your parents ever said, How many times do I gotta tell you? Anyone ever heard that? How many times have I got to tell you? I'm sure you've never heard that, have you, Isaac? How many times have I got to I gotta, Grady? How about you? Has your mom and dad said, Grady, how many times have I got to Yeah, they they've told you that. But but Oral Robert said, When when you're preaching and you get so tired of preaching it that you can't hardly even spit it out of your mouth. He said, the people are just then beginning to get it. And I've and now I'm realizing that that you know, Oral was a lot of years, and he was probably right because you know we we spend hours preparing for something, and then we expect you to get it in 10, 20 minutes or 30 minutes, you know. So uh so Papa Bob, I mean, we we just love him. He can come on up, and and I told you how everyone wants to hug him, so so can't you tell why you just want to hug him? And uh and just the the love that radiates off of him, and just you know the respect he has from his kids and his grandkids and stuff, and is just a fabulous thing. And I mean, I I'm just honored, so let's give him a gathering tabernacle welcome here this morning. Amen.
SPEAKER_03Well, praise the Lord, hallelujah. It's an honor to be here this morning. Hallelujah. Ain God good. I don't think y'all heard me. Ain't God good. I believe you got it. They finally got it. Hallelujah. God appreciates everybody and He has blessed each and every one and blessed you for good pastors. I just I appreciate everybody that's coming here. I appreciate wait a minute. There was a picture on Facebook that advertised that I was coming. But Brother Dan, they used an old geezer's picture in there. Don't look at me. Some of y'all need to look in the mirror. But I want to tell you this morning I have something for you. I don't believe that God gave me something to preach just to be preaching. I don't know about you, but I know of a lot of people that say if they can't preach anywhere else, they'll go out and preach to a stump. Well, I've got news I preached to a lot of stumps before. Two-legged. Sometimes they just don't want to receive, like Brother Dan was saying a while ago. And I better get to taking an offering here and get to preaching, or I'll get to preaching. Hallelujah. But I want to tell you, it's an honor to give to God, it's an honor to receive the blessings that God's given each and every one of us. And the Bible tells us that and teaches us that God already got 10%. That's what he said. There's a difference between an offering and tithes. Tithes you give to the church. However, it works, how the church takes care of their things, the tithes belong to the church. And if you don't tithe, you're stealing from God. It's his. He could have asked for 90%, but he only asked for 10%. But an offering is what you give over and above that. So tonight or this morning, let's just give as a given unto the Lord. That's who you're giving it to. You ain't giving it to man. You're giving it to God. So if someone would come, we'll receive this offering. Whoever. Or however they ever do that. Father, I want to thank you for each and everyone that's here this morning. I want to thank you, God, for what I already sense and God that I feel in this place. That God, it comes to a very serious time in this service. That God, we want to give to you. God, we want to bless you because you've blessed us. And God, we want to thank you for what you've done for us, and we'll thank and praise you for it in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Hallelujah. While they're doing that, I'll get ready. Isaiah chapter 1. Verse number 18. Come let us reason together, saith the Lord. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow. Though your sins be as crimson, they shall be as wool. Father, I thank you again, Father, for your presence. Father, I feel the lowering and the hovering of the Shekana glory of God in this place this morning, Lord. And God, I thank you for coming down in our midst. But God, I want to speak to some people here this morning with your word. God, as you have given it to me, not as I have drawn it out, but God, as you has given it to me, that God, a decision needs to be made. And God, the decision is up to you because you've already took care of it. But it's up to us to receive it. And we thank and praise you for it. In Jesus' mighty name. Hallelujah. Come let us reason together. Have you been around people that has been unreasonable? Sound like a lot of men. Husbands are. Oh, that's a whole message. What about you wives? Has your husband ever been unreasonable? Oh, that's quiet. I wish my wife was here. She'd enjoyed that. She couldn't come tonight because she teaches the auditorium class at church. So she's done it for years, so that's the reason she's not here this evening. Come let us reason together, God says. All your sins be a scarlet. Some of us has not got a real flashy background. Sometimes our background is less than perfect. I'm here to tell you that every one of us has a life background that's not perfect because the Bible says we're all sinners and we've all come short of the glory of God. We're there. He said that because there's something that can take place if you have it. It's called life everlasting. They sang the song a while ago about the blood. Hallelujah, it'll never lose its power. And I'm going to talk about that just in a little bit. And it said it doesn't matter what kind of background you got, it doesn't matter what's taking place. God is a God that can forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. The Bible tells us in the book of John, and it tells us in the 19th chapter and the 30th verse, it said when Jesus had taken the sup of the vinegar, he said, it is finished. It's finished. Mankind has had a way to come to God through the blood of Jesus that he shed 10 all those years ago on the cross of Calvary. Hallelujah. I thought I said I'm not going to get wound up. I just had a flu a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still struggling to get over it without coughing. Hallelujah. But I'd rather be coughing here than being in a coffin. Hallelujah. But the Bible said that Jesus shed his blood. He cried, it is finished. And said the blood was taken into the throne room of Almighty God and presented on the altar of God. And the Bible said that God received it. Why? Because the lightning flashed and the thunder roll, and the veil and the veil of the temple was rent from top to bottom. Hallelujah. It is finished. It's over with. Hallelujah. Because God's going to take care of you. Hallelujah. But I want to present something to you. The greatest power the world or universe has ever known. The greatest power. You say, well, that's the Holy Ghost. No, it's not. But it will point you to the one that is the power. Hallelujah. Glory. Excuse me. Slow down, brother Bob. Hallelujah. I get excited about God. I get excited about the things of God. I'm excited about what God is doing. Thank you. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. It's called resurrection power. Hallelujah. It's that resurrection power. Hallelujah. It's the strongest. The Holy Ghost can point you to Jesus. So the Bible said no man can be saved except the Spirit of my Father draw him. Hallelujah. But I'm telling you what, there is a resurrection power. It can make a change in your life. It can do things in your life you don't even realize. We look back in the book of John in the 11th chapter and we read about Mary and Martha and Lazarus. Hallelujah. You know the story just well as I do that Lazarus died. Hallelujah. You say, what's wrong with that? That's natural. But it wasn't his time. It wasn't his time. Mary and Martha sent for Jesus. Hallelujah. And they cried out to him. Jesus knew about it, but it took some time. Have you ever cried out to God? Say, God, I need you and I need you now, but it didn't happen. It takes time. It's in God's timing. Jesus told him. I'm not going through the whole story, but Mary and Martha was talking about it, and Jesus said, told him, I am the resurrection. Hallelujah. He is the resurrection. And when he had done that, slow down. Hallelujah. I usually got one speed, and that's wide open. Hallelujah. But Lazarus is laying dead in that old tomb. They put him in there. They rolled the stone there. And the Bible tells us that Jesus walked out there and he said, Lazarus! Come forth. That resurrection power that was in Jesus. He rose from the dead and he came hopping out. He said, What do you mean he came? Hopping out. In those days when they buried somebody, they wrapped them like a mummy. They wrapped them like a mummy. Well, how else could it get out but hop out? Come on. Jesus said, lose him. Lose him. That's where I want to go this morning. Lose him. Many times in our lives we get saved when Jesus comes into our hearts in our lives. But there's grave clothes still hanging on when we come out. God wants to lose them tonight. But he said, lose him. So when God started dealing with me about this message when I was asked to come over and to preach, God began to, I begin to hear in my mind's ear, if a mind's got an ear, I heard chains. Rattling chains. Rattling chains. Folks, let me tell you something. Some people, they've got things still hanging on to them. It's called the grave clothes. It's those rattling chains that need to be removed. And God wants to reach out and touch some this morning and remove some of those chains and loose them from what they are. There's things that hang on to them. Not of things in the future, but those things that happened years ago. Sometimes when you get saved and God saves you, you're cleansed as cleansed as you'll ever be. Hallelujah. The blood of Jesus will cleanse you. But there's some things that you won't forgive yourself for. It's called chains that hang on. The devil's going to put those chains upon you and try to drag you down, but I'm here to tell you Jesus wants to loose you from those chains. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That's how that's what the devil does. That's his job. He's good at it. Hallelujah. But Jesus wants to loose you this morning. You say, what kind of change we got? Some's got doubt. Sometimes it takes us a while to get something. Me too. I can totally understand that. I can totally understand that. Because when I was young, I wasn't the sweetest little thing on the block. My daddy and my mama gave me a few, well, a whole lot of attitude adjustments. I don't know about you, but I absolutely knew what a peach tree limb was. I absolutely knew what a hickory stick was. I thought there's a club, but there wasn't. Today they'd probably get them for child abuse. But I praise God they did correct me. Why? Because I needed it. God needs to correct us sometimes because we need it. We need to feel his power. We need to know that he loves us. And things that go on up in our lives that go on every day, but we need to be loose from them. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Glory to God. But loose them, he said. Hallelujah. See that bloodline was drawn when Jesus died upon the cross. He gave his life for everyone. Many times I mentioned, I'm going to mention again, in the book of Exodus in the 12th chapter. Israel was in bondage. Israel was a place they wanted to be free. But God called Moses. I'll not go into all of it. But it went through all the plagues, and when they'd gone through all the plagues, God began to move. God began to tell Moses, he said, You go in the 12th chapter, I believe it is, in about the fifth verse. Go find the lamb without spot or blemish. Folks, let me tell you, that lamb is still alive today. That lamb said that shed his blood is still alive today. He still wanted to deliver God, uh people from the things that they have done, and let God begin to take over their lives and God rule and reign in their lives. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He said, You take that lamb. He said, How to prepare it. He said, When you got it prepared, he said you take the blood, pull it over the doorpost and on the lintels of the house that's at the top. When he said, When I see the blood, I'll pass over you. And he went on to say, and the plague ain't gonna come near your dwelling. I've got news for you. There's no reason the devil can put plague on our people. There's no reason that I got the flu last week. My faith wasn't in place where I could rebuke it and send it away. Why? Many times. Hallelujah. I don't know about you, Brother Dan. But sometimes when I preach, I find I'm preaching myself more than I am anybody else. Don't look at me like that. Kids are laughing because that's one of my bylines. But the Bible said that the Moses told the people and how to prepare it. And when the death angel came, it passed over them. God drew a bloodline there. And when you go out through under the bloodline, you're safe in the in the presence of Almighty God. The devil can't touch you unless you let him. Yeah, I'm gonna tell it. Jesse's dad and her uncle live in Colorado. We went to visit them. They live at Alma, 11,500 feet. They worked at uh Breckenridge ski resort. So we went out to visit them one summer. And just a little ways, just like from here to the road, there was a old gold mine. My son said, Dad, now you go out there, but don't go in that gold mine. I said, okay. I said, I don't know, I gotta watch them snakes out there. And I thought, he said, there ain't no snakes. I said, Yeah, right. Them old boards and stuff of that old mine. Well, I bet there's a snake as big as my leg out there. Imagination. He said, No, serious, dad, there ain't no snakes out there. Yeah, right. What you don't understand, God, there is a place on the mountain as you go up, the less snakes there are. But there is a place that you get above the snake line. Folks, let me tell you, there's a place in God that you can get above the snake line. You can get to that place where the devil ain't gonna bother you. You can get to that place where you can say, devil, leave me behind, and the devil's got to go because it can't come above the snake line. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Sure enough, he's right, but what he didn't tell me was the bears. Actually, he did. He said, Dad, if you see a berry, run. I said, if I see a dip bear, there won't be no question about it. I'll run. But what I'm going to get at to you tonight, there is a place in God that you can go. There is a place God drew that line in the shed blood of Jesus. It's called the bloodline. You can't get across it. The devil can't get across it unless you let him. Don't look at me like that. You can let the devil in if you want to. Or you can keep him out if you want to. You can quote scripture all day long if you want to, and it will mean nothing if you don't believe it. The word of God is to be believed, the word of God is to be a place that we can go. Folks, let me tell you something. This is the only thing in the whole universe that we have to answer to, is the word of God. Hallelujah. The Bible says there's one day that we're gonna rise to meet the Lord in the air, and then one day that we're gonna die. I don't care whether you believe it or not, there's one of these days you're gonna die. And the Bible says there is a place called heaven, there's a place called hell, and we're gonna go to one place or the other. That's one because that's what the word says. Hallelujah! It's the authority on life, and it's the authority on death. Let an authority says, I can loose those chains, and I can reach them. Say I'm tired of them all chains that's gonna be, I'm tired of this all of this unbelief, I'm tired of all this stuff that's going on in my life, I'm tired of the enemy coming in, and it's beginning to come in like a flood and begin to destroy me. And folks, if you if you get tired of it, put your foot down and say God can take care of this. I'm tired of it. Jesus said his blood on the cross of Calvary, then I can be free, and folks, let me tell you something. You're free indeed. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. But tonight, I want you to, this morning, I want you to know that Jesus is still on the throne. I don't, I told you this is the authority. I don't find anywhere. Well, Jesus said, I'm gonna scoot over and let the devil take control. You won't find it. It's through the blood of Jesus. In Job, the first chapter, down about verse six. The Bible said the sons of God begin to come and present themselves before God. The Bible said, and the devil came with him. Let me stop there a minute. If you don't think the devil won't go to church, you're wrong. The devil will come in, he'll take the finest seat right on the front. He will distract you, he will pull you down, he will keep you from receiving the word that God has given. I preached five years as a chaplain at Ann Gola State Prison, Louisiana. Largest maximum security prison in the United States and still is. So I prayed. I said, God, I bind every spirit that's contrary to the word of God in this place. It's not gonna do anything to destroy what God's about to do. It's not gonna do anything. When the service was over, this red-headed guy took his hand up. He said, Can I say something? I said, Yeah. I said, wait till you see what's gonna come out of his mouth. He said, I kept him on to say something ever. I just couldn't get it out of my mouth. Hallelujah. Why? Because God shutting his mouth before the word of God comes through. And let me tell you, you can bind the devil in the name of Jesus. You can bind the devil for what he's trying to do in your family, you can bind the devil for what he's trying to do in your loved ones. And folks, let me tell you, he will come to church. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Preached one night. Give the altar call. We had several saved. Turned around, I had a young man that was bringing up, young preacher. Come in with me, and I said, Glenn, I said, go ahead and close the service. I turned around and got my guitar off and I had my case laying there, and I started to lay my case down, and I felt a hand grab me shoulder. I couldn't move. And I turned around and there's a big dude, but taller than me, big old black guy, about that height. I mean, he's head and shoulders taller than I was. He said, Reverend, I said, yes. Would you pray for me? I said, Yeah. I said, What's your problem? He said, I've been thumped on the head so many times, sometimes I go just go crazy. I thought, oh God, don't let him go crazy now. Would you pray for me? And I prayed for him. God delivered that man that night. The reason I say not get crazy, the guards don't want no shaking going on. God started dealing with preaching on the Holy Ghost. I said, God, you're gonna get us thrown out of this prison. God, if I lay hands on they get the Holy Ghost, they go to shouting out God, Father, you look you're gonna get me throat out of here. God said, preach the Holy Ghost. Took me a month to convince me I was hearing from God. Let me tell you, the devil wanted to destroy your so I said, All right, God. All right. They only allowed me 35 inmates. I could have had a hundred or more. There's eighteen hundred in that prison. But they could only spare two guards uh at each service. And I said, okay, God, I'm gonna preach the Holy Ghost. So I preached the Holy Ghost. And I was waiting, I said, well, what's gonna happen? They began to get the Holy Ghost one after the other. Laid home.
SPEAKER_02They just begin to raise their hand and worship God and the tongue started rolling out.
SPEAKER_03Holy Ghost, God brought a revival in that place you wouldn't believe. Why? Because God said do it and I did it. Reluctantly. Sometimes God has you to preach things you're reluctant of wanting to preach. But God knows what he's doing. God knows what he's doing. Folks, let me tell you, there's a place that you can live. There's a place that you can be above a snake line. Above that place where the devil keeps trying to destroy you. The devil wants to pull you down. So this morning, if you've got something, those chains still hanging on you. Doubt, unbelief, discouragement. Discouragement. That's one of the biggest things that's going around today in people's lives is discouragement. Hallelujah. And if you want to get a good place for discouragement, try the pastor. Come on. You don't know what they go through. You don't know what the weight is. I pastored at one church 28 years. I know what it's all about. In the midnight hours. I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again. Why do women always want to have their babies at two or three o'clock in the morning? Don't look at me like that, but they do. Call a pastor, oh, we're taking her to the hospital. So get up and we join up to 30-something miles. Sure enough, they have a baby. Just like the other men had one. Why is it everything that goes wrong that calls a pastor, come and pray for us, Pastor? That's his job. It really is. Because that's what God's called him to do. But the point I'm making is you don't know the load they carry. You don't know the load that they go through in the midnight hour. In the midnight hour. I said it many a time, two, three, four o'clock in the morning, one of the loved ones goes out to meet God. Hallelujah. One dear sister. We were there, and they would she was still in intensive care. A bunch of us was around. We was praying. She's a good, godly woman. But when she went out to meet with God, everybody jumped up and went to shout. And I think they thought that something had happened in that place. They didn't know what was going on. But there was something going on. She went home to be with Jesus. Hallelujah. But you see, discouragement comes. Hallelujah. Time and time and time again. Discouragement comes when you try to preach to somebody and teach them something. Try to tell them about Jesus. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They go right back doing the same old thing. Every time you get an altar call, they come to the altar. Preacher, come and pray for me. I need Jesus. I need Jesus. You go, get up, get dressed, go on. I'm talking about one or two o'clock in the morning. Sure enough, they needed Jesus. But it's a peace in your heart when you know they've touched the throne of God. Hallelujah. They where they need to be. But I'm talking about chains that hold people down. I'm going to. I said it the other day. People come in and say, Pastor, I'm a servant. I want to be used of God. I want God to use me in the church. He says, Praise the Lord. God's been calling, been praying for somebody to come and clean the bathrooms. All of a sudden their servant wanted to go to the singing bench. Or the singing or piano bench. You see, being a servant, it's all entailed. Being a servant is doing all things for God. But you see, we'll get bound sometimes because we want specific things. You know what? When God called me to preach, and I was just a little boy, I can show you the place over in front of the house that I live in now. This big old walnut tree, and there used to be an old cellar there, and the old cave place in there where the cellar was. When I was little, I ha I've got three sisters. Can you say bless me? We go to church and come back, and my aunt lived across the road. She was our she was my little aunt, but she was also my brother in the Lord because she always seen that we went to church as kids. She kept a hearing a racket going on over at the house. So she went over there and when she went around the corner. We was having church in the backyard. And I was preaching. People asked me when I was a kid, I said, what are you gonna do when you grow up? I'm gonna be a preacher. Well, when God called me to preach, I tried to put some limits on him. Lord, I want to be an evangelist. Where I can preach and get up and go, I don't have to answer to what's going on. Don't laugh, that happens. Hallelujah. So over the years I've had several ministries and filled in churches and different things. And everything like that. And when God called me to pastor this last time, I was I was I felt it, but it was easier evangelizing and singing. Me and my wife and and the boys was singing. And going around, I was I was in a tent revival, and I went to that tent revival. I mean that that old brother was climbing tent poles. I mean he was flat getting with it. Get Brother Josh to do that because our climbing trick preaching. He stopped dead, slid down that pole, walked back there and I sat in the back seat and he said, You. Come here. Who? Me? Went up here and he said, Why are you running from God? I said, I'm not I'm preaching, I'm I'm singing. You're running from God.
SPEAKER_02Service went on.
SPEAKER_03About a week later, I went to another tent revival. Benny was preaching. He was climbing the tent pole, preaching up a storm, and stopped and slid down that pole and walked back. You sitting right there next to old Steve Zellers back there. Won't you come here? Why are you running from God? All right, God. I knew what God was talking about. But you see, sometimes we don't want to fulfill. But we've got an obligation from God. We've got a command from God. When God says go, you go. When God says do it, you do it. Hallelujah. But tonight or this morning, you got a chain holding you back? Memories from the past. Let me let me tell let me plow there a little while. Memories from the past. When you give your heart to Jesus and the blood is applied, all of the past is gone. Period. It'll never come back unless you let it. But the devil knows about it. God don't know about it anymore, but the devil does. Let me go on. Have you ever heard somebody come along and say, I know what you used to do? I know what you used to do. You wasn't the sweetest thing. Isn't that what it says? If the devil is the accuser of the brethren, he's using somebody to accuse somebody of what they used to do. A child of God can be used of the devil if they ain't careful. Yes, they can. Yes, they can. We lived in Texas. God called me to preach. We came back up here to visit here in Missouri, and at the time it was a nursing home at the at the uh Mount Vernon at the O Chest Hospital. What used to be the old chest hospital. Up there, and my uncle was in there. Got in there and he said, I understand your preaching now. I said, Yes, I am. God's called me to preach. He said, Well, that surprises me. He said, if you'd have told me you'd have been in jail, I'd have believed that. But if you're being a preacher and I wouldn't believe it. See, God can make a difference in your life. Let me tell you something else before I quit here. You can make a difference where you are if you want to. You can. You can make a difference where you are if you want to. Somebody the Lord speaks to you about witnessing to them and you don't do them, you can make a difference in that person's life by just turning it on and saying, Jesus loves you. You can make a difference where you are if you want to. The Bible says that we can be loosed from the chains that hold us. Loose from the things of the past. I was a on a prayer call to prayer ministry of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. And there and I was it was a call-in deal. We had a phone blank and people were calling in. A lady called in and said, Would you pray that God would just take my past away? I said, I can pray all you want to, but he ain't going to because it happened. But he said, I'll pray that God will take the pain and the sting of what happened. Sometimes we go through their pain in our hearts and pain in our lives. We say, God, I just can't handle this. God can take the pain away. It's that chain that's trying to bind you. It's that chain that's trying to pull you down. Hallelujah. Got another call. Man was sitting in a motel. He said, I got a gun laying here and I'm fixing to kill myself. Should I? What are you going to say when the man's standing there with a gun? You better have some Jesus in your life. Long story short, the man would put the gun down and he started, and I prayed through and prayed with him, and he prayed through the to Jesus and everything was alright. Oh, let me tell you, folks, there's things and chains that hold our lives that people can't handle. But I got a Jesus that can. I can't hand I can't do it, but I can tell you who can. And his name is Jesus. His name is Jesus. Do you know that Jesus this morning? Do you know that same Jesus that walked the shores of Galilee? Do you know the same Jesus that bled and died upon the cross of Calvary? Do you know the same Jesus that gave his life and hollered, it is finished. Cried out, it is finished. The universe heard that call. The universe heard that call because the temple was rent from top to bottom. It made a difference from three men on the cross. One of them stood there, the two men on the cross, the thieves that were there. One of them said, Oh, just if you're really the Savior, just get us off of here. One of them said, Don't you know we're paying for what we did? God, remember me when thou comest into that kingdom. Jesus said, Today you'll be with me in paradise. That's how quick salvation is. It's as soon as you reveal, Jesus, I want you in my life. Forgive me of my sins. Jesus will really forgive you. And it will be, he will never remember it no more. It's cast away as far as the east is from the west. Do you know why God didn't say north to the south? You can go far enough south that eventually you'll turn and go back north. But you can go east and you'll never quit going east because it's always there. God's saying it will be forever forgiven. Ain't God good? Do you have a chain in your life tonight that you need to be loosened? Do you have a need here that you need to be prayed for tonight this morning? We'll be happy to pray for you. Would you all stand with me this morning? Father, I thank you. I praise you, God. I preached what I felt like, God, that you've laid upon my heart for these people this morning. God, I want to thank you, God, that you're here. God, to meet every need, God, that's here this morning. Whether it be physical, financial, whatever it might be, God, you're here, the one to loose the bonds and bounds that have people bound tonight, this morning. And God, I'm asking, God, that those folks, God, that have that need this morning would come. And God, that they could come to you. God, they're not coming to a man. They're not coming to anybody, but God, they're coming to you. And God, I'm asking you to meet that need in the name of Jesus. These altars are open this morning for anybody that wants to come and pray. Because Jesus is here to meet that need that you have. And I want to thank you and I want to praise you, Jesus. And God wants to loose those bonds. God wants to loose those chains. Even though they rattle and make a lot of noise, folks, let me tell you, Jesus will relieve you. Jesus will loose you from those things. And Father, we thank you and we praise you for it in Jesus' name. Would you come? Hallelujah. We've still got plenty of time if you've got a need today. Hallelujah. Jesus is your answer. Jesus is your answer. He's the one who will meet that need. And I praise you, Jesus.
